This location is always ripping people off. They charge way too much money to send this little bit of food. The containers are thin and they barely give you any food. The steak was packed in a separate plastic container, soaking in oil food taste rushed but charged almost $30 for this meal. Mind you this is for my lunch break so it’s not as simple as just bringing it back. So disappointing smh

We got there an hour and a half before closing. So they didn't have much to offer. Although what they could make/cook was fresh and hot off the stove. I like that their foods are not heavily seasoned nor greasy. Service was great. And pricing was affordable. Over all they get a 4.8 from me.

Customer service was trash. Guy couldn’t hear what I was ordering because he decided to take my order while someone else was ordering. He prepared what he wanted to when I advised him that was not what I ordered he became frustrated and asked if I wanted him to put what he prepared back to fix what I actually wanted. And then proceeds to give me burnt pieces of meat and if it wasn’t burnt it was fat. I felt a lot of prejudice from my server which was a guy. I would never return or recommend any of my friends or family to patron there!

Was super excited to try this place and it didn't disappoint. The food was fresh and like home. Tried other empanadas (aka pastelillos) in town and theirs were still the best. Service was friendly and efficient. It was also nice to be able to speak Spanish with others.

Swing by this restaurant to get a taste of Puerto Rican food. I ordered a plain mofongo and my partner ordered arroz con gandules, habichuelas y pernil (rice and peas, beans and roasted pork shoulder). We also shared a side of tostones. We both left very satisfied and with a full belly, all signs of a great meal. The restaurant ambiance is very chill and the employees are very courteous. I’d return for some Puerto Rican flavors next time I’m in the Hartford area.

Pretty small but quaint restaurant located at the intersection of Broad and Park Streets. There are about 3 small tables with chairs, as well as a long counter with bar stools facing Broad Street where you can sit and dine. The young man serving behind the food counter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the different types of food he was selling. The food was very good and filling as expected, if you're used to Puerto Rican foods. There was also a variety of dessert options. The place was clean on the inside and I was very impressed when I saw an older gentleman who obviously works at the restaurant (He was wearing a t-shirt with the name on it), sweeping the sidewalk and the streets outside the restaurant and picking up the trash. Bravo! I would definitely recommend this place based on my experience, and based on the amount of patrons that came in to pick up food while I was there, I guess others feel the same way too.

The empanadas were so good. Would definitely make a detour to come here and get more of them.

WEPA! I’ve tried so many Spanish restaurants in Hartford but this might be the one! The owner and his daughter were very kind in helping us decide what to order. Establishment was cute and clean and had hand sanitizer readily available. Portions and the price was great. Loved that extra sauce was provided in a separate cup to prevent leakage. Our food was delicious! Perfectly seasoned unlike other places that overly use salt. I could taste so many different flavors. Highly recommend and will come again. I’ll keep updating photos because I was starving they didn’t look as good as they could lol!

Yelp
Was missing authentic PR food since my trip in February. Someone suggested aqui me quedo but this location specifically! It did not disappoint me, but parking can be tricky in the area. However, it was so worth it when we at down to eat. Got the potato ball, tostonas, beef stew, beans, and white rice. The flavor was delicious and I can't wait to go back to try more of their pastries that they are known for. I did not want to over order my first time in case I didn't like the food. Wish I did get a to go order to eat at home. Give it a try!

Yelp
They often display a negative attitude when addressing issues. It's important for them to improve their communication skills and learn how to interact professionally with customers.

Yelp
Some of the best Puerto Rican food I've ever had. Everything was so good. The server was very friendly and helpful. Good value as well.

Yelp
Eh, wish I could brag about this place but unfortunately I haven't been impressed. Although they do have good alcapurrias. What I like about this place its convenience and quick service. This is a great spot for those days you're have limited time for lunch and not feeling like getting McDonald or Wendys. I don't love it but I don't hate it.

Yelp
Great authentic Puerto Rican food. I've been eating here for over 25 years. The pernil (roast pork) and carne guisada (beef stew) are delicious personal favorites, and great for newbies. With a side of rice & beans, and an order of tostones (twice-fried flattened plantains), you can't go wrong. They even do great pressed breakfast sandwiches. It's a tiny hole-in-the-wall little spot, but that's usually where you get the best food anyway.

Yelp
Best hot sauce I have ever had in my life!!! Yo me mato is the greatest stuff you will soon be addicted to the heat. Nice family run PR business with great service. I'm always trying to find delicious Empanadas and this place has a ton of variety. Some chicken and cheese, shrimp, spicy seafood, pizza really unique options, can't go wrong with those stuffed potatoes balls or yucca. Mostly take out with hot food ready to go or quick eat in spot to grab a seat for something else on the menu.

Yelp
PLEASE do yourself a favor and don't eat at this place. I saw a server recycle someones soup into another customers bowl. That is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen at a restaurant. PLEASE STAY AWAY. If you want some good spanish food on Park St just head up another block to El Mercado.

Jeff P.

Yelp
Real nice to charge a gringo eleven dollars for rice and beans. You should be ashamed of yourself cowboy.

Yelp
El Mercado has nothing on this restaurant so I would really re-consider this, Jose C. I have never seen anything like swapping soup onto another customers and I've gone there more than 8 times. I go there and they feed me like a king. The food is great. El Mercado's always losing the restaurants they have in there. Cuchilandia's no longer there and I loved their food. Now it's all dominicanos cooking nonsense thinking they can cook. Only Americans love their food because they don't know any better. That's like me loving Italian food that tastes like ish to true Italians. As for Aqui Me Quedo, I like the atmosphere, they have a section where you can sit on higher than usual seats on what seems like a bar. It's a small eating area, with only two tables that can seat four people each. And they don't serve soup, They serve up rice and beans with some good escaveche de bacalao. The only thing that sucks is the parking and the neighborhood. Too much loitering and people with nothing to do.

Yelp
If you love Puerto Rican food...this is a nice spot to go to. They have a variety of Cuchifritos(meat fritters) that are cheap(most are a dollar each), and if you get a meal, they will fill the platter up with rice, beans and platanos(plantains are optional) I usually eat their escaveche and sancocho(PR version of beef stew). I don't live around that area anymore, but when I do come around, I go there to get some good for 10 bucks(might cost you 30 at TGIFridays AND you will get half that plate) but it's like eating at a PR home, :D. The customers are usually people from the surrounding neighborhoods and they are friendly, but they are the regulars from around the way. Some customers even come out with their own Guirros(PR instrument) to play music(usually Fridays), which the owner allows and it's entertaining, it's like being in a small restaurant in Puerto Rico. It's not meant to be a quiet restaurant in my opinion, but I like it that way. :D. It IS a small restaurant, seating at the most 8 people with 6 or so bar stools running along the wall from entrance on in. You will either go there to get something quick for lunch or stay...the seats are never occupied for long because most people don't stay, they take their food to go. good restaurant. What about the customer service? meh, they're feeding you, right? I'm not one to judge customer service because that looks snobbish. UNLESS I get REALLY BAD service to the point that I can't stand the place and don't wan to come back. I will lea a tip them, but I just won't come back there.
