"This farmer’s market has been providing Newport with fresh, seasonal, local produce for over twenty-two years. Each week dozens of vendors gather to sell everything from vegetables, fresh seafood, and homemade condiments to herbal skin care. All the food sold has been grown or made within a fifty-mile radius, making this market a truly sustainable farm-to-table shopping experience. Spread out a picnic blanket and enjoy your haul to a soundtrack of live music in the shade along Memorial Boulevard."

This is an amazing collection of vendors! A little bit of everything to choose from and not too much overlap. I visit weekly for fresh vegetables, a big bouquet of flowers and amazing pretzels.

Yelp
The Aquidneck Grower's Market is a staple for Newporters of all walks of life. From 2-6 PM every Wednesday during the summer, you can see them line up to sample the wares of food vendors from the island and beyond. It gets pretty darn crowded, so if you can, try to come around 2pm or closer to the end of the day to beat the scads of Lilly Pulitzer clad housewives, patchouli scented hipsters, and miscellaneous dog owners who frequent this pop-up marketplace. Parking is an absolute NIGHTMARE, so do everything you can to come by foot. Literally. The street is so narrow. You will not find a space. Do not even try. There's a good range of vendors, who sell everything from fresh fruits and vegetables (try some raspberries!) to prepared foods (curried chicken lettuce wraps at the Boru Noodle Bar stand are AMAZING), and even some non-food stands, like one that sells homemade essential oils and body glitter. My top picks are the Tricycle Ice Cream cart (so cute and Instagram friendly! Try the strawberry shortcake ice cream sandwich!), June Love's English Bakery (the titular Mrs. Love is the fabulous British dessert making grandma we didn't know we all needed), and the aforementioned Boru Noodle Bar stand, which is new to the Market, but soon to give the perennial "popular kid" Tallulah's Tacos a run for their money! Head to the Aquidneck Grower's Market before the summer's over - you'll be so glad you did! And get me a strawberry shortcake ice cream sandwich, will you?!

Yelp
Tallulah's Tacos and Provençal Bakery draw the crowds, so plan accordingly. The gluteny goodies disappear quicker than pies cooling on a sill, and the tacos simply take for.ev.er to assemble. The good news? Hot, fresh and snapping a picture perfect depiction of regional whitefish fried and topped Baja style. Durn tasty. The actual "farm" to this farmer's market is slightly under-represented - felt more like a food stand fest meets Taste of Newport than an actual grower's market. Those who did bring crops filled wicker baskets and environmentally friendly plastic bags with picker speed. Sits centrally on a loud stretch of green beside a main thoroughfare, with loads of street parking (and no bike valet, hippies). Debit/EBT support coming soon, but many vendors accept cards through Square. If you get a chance, sample the English flapjacks. Yes. YES.

Yelp
Small, rushed, with many booths selling the same products. Scallop guys and Sprout Soup the best. Bread sellers at door were brisk and cranky. Ugh!

Yelp
PROS: - The vegetables are extremely fresh. I couldn't purchase them because I live hours away from this area and I didn't want to leave these beautifully colored items in the car. Their kale from several vendors looked AMAZING! If I didn't live far, I would have bought some to take home. - Coffee, pizza, tacos, baked goods, and ice cream vendors. Locally made. Cute displays and friendly service. I recommend the $3 chai tea from The Coffee Guy (although they didn't fill up my cup to the brim). CONS: - PARKING! Horrible. It's one of the busiest streets and if you're lucky, you may be able to find parking on the road. However, keep in mind that street parking is only available for residents with a sticker during the farmer's market. I was able to park in one spot close to 5:30PM (closes 6PM) and keep an eye out for anyone who may ticket me. If you need parking, drive down a little bit and make a left at the first stop light. You will find a parking lot that is free within the 1st hour (2 hours - you need validation from a shop in that same parking lot). Overall, my visit was pleasant but I wish I came in earlier to taste the pizza but they were all sold out by 5:30PM.

Yelp
It can be brutal to find parking at times for this Farmer's Market located on Memorial Boulevard in Newport. Sometimes I end up parking in the Bellevue Plaza and getting my parking ticket stamped at a shop there after wards. There is a fairly large selection of greens, but this Farmer's Market has a lot more dairy products and baked goods than most that I am use to going to personally. There is a wood oven for pizza, tacos, and lots of other food to grab if you are looking for a fresh lunch. This Farmer's Market is every Wednesday, it starts at 2pm and I believe it ends at 5pm. I love grabbing my greens from Simmons Farm, as far as I know they are the only farm on Aquidneck Island that is certified organic. They even make their own organic goat cheese which is a mega production. This is probably my second favorite Farmer's Market, I'm sorry but the one in Bristol still has a key to my heart hahaha. The deals in Bristol are better and the parking arrangement there is way easier plus they have live music!

Yelp
Fairly small. Not too much variety but the products are great quality. The tricycle ice cream is great, they have matcha ice cream, hard to find, and it was delicious.
