AR Workshop Torrance

My daughter loves AR workshop camps, she always comes home with cute projects. She's attended lots of different camps there and I'm sure we will continue to go there. They also host great birthday parties.

We had a great experience this weekend at a hat burning class. It was so organized, lots of customizable options and such a fun atmosphere. We will definitely be back for another class ASAP.

been to several workshops here, this was probably the most intimidating one yet but turned out to be pretty easy once I learned to have a lighter touch!

My 9 year old daughter absolutely loved the camp for Room Refresh Series. She came out every day excited for the next day and said she wants to do another week of the camp. Thanks AR Workshop, we’ll definitely be back.

AR Workshop Torrance is one of my favorite destinations. This time I brought my mother while she was visiting and she loved it! Owner Jennifer M. is always the most helpful, patient and friendly face - as is her support staff. Looking forward to my next project there!

AR Workshop in Torrance is a gem! I discovered this place a few years ago when my daughter attended a birthday party. Subsequently, I booked a birthday party for my daughter this year when COVID restrictions started lifting up. She and her friends had a blast, and we are returning for summer camp. I also signed up for a blanket knitting class for myself, and Jennifer the owner is a sweetheart. The class was very personalized, and she made it so simple to learn and corrected any mistakes along the way. I will definitely be returning for the Advanced Blanket Class.

I’m so happy that AR Workshop opened a location in Torrance! I LOVE everything about this AR Workshop location. I was there for a girlfriend get together and we had so much fun making photo frames. That gave me the idea to host a Bridal Shower there where we made things to be used at my future daughter-in-law’s wedding. I received so many thank yous for the fun, the creativity, the quality of the projects... everything! The owners and their employees are the BEST; they will work will you to make your day fun and memorable. This is why it’s important you choose this location over the others. If you’re creative and crafty, you’ll love this place and if you’re not, you’ll be amazed at what you’ve made and realize you are more crafty than you thought! The best part is AR Workshop is for the entire family. I even took my son and nephew here for a cupcake decorating class. You must check their calendar beforehand to see which project best suits you. I can’t wait to go back for my next project!

Great place, to do so many different creative projects with friends and colleagues. Whenever we have our work events here, all spots get filled quickly and we all have so much fun and beautiful projects to take home. I was invited to my daughter's friend's birthday at this place twice in the past. Their 2hour birthday package has full of fun stuff. If you love to do some crafts, knitting, or any sorts of crafts, this place will not make you bored. Friendly staff will assist you with everything, so you don't need to worry about not knowing anything about crafts. They have workshops and summer camps for kids as well! Plenty of parking area in the front of the store.

My kids have had many summer camp sessions here and held birthday parties here too. We love AR Workshop! Jennifer is always kind, caring, and very organized. Highly recommend!

Boy Howdy if I could give them 10* I would! We chose the hat burning class and it was fantastic :) Only 4 of us in class, along with a baby and a puppy in tow who were made very welcome, and we all had a ball making our hats. It was a new medium for everyone and I found it totally addicting. If you aren't crafty or entirely sure of your abilities, don't worry! The gal who took the class was so friendly, supportive and helpful it was a breeze. You can email her ideas and she can size them and print them so you have a template, plus they have lots of templates and stencils in house for you to choose from, or you can go crazy and freehand. Plus they have feathers, hat bands, and lots of accessories for you to choose from (a little extra in the charges but worth it). It was soooo nice to spend daughter/mum time together, and meet other women who were unleashing their creativity. Plus we all had a neat hat to take home which was handcrafted! I have received many compliments on mine and it does feel good to say I made it myself :) Burning the hat is easy, just like using a hot pen and once you get the feel of it outlining and shading are as easy as drawing. With free parking outside the door, a variety of fun classes to choose from, and a fantastic store and staff, you will definitely have a creative and satisfying time here. We will be back for more classes soon :)

Crafty? Not really... Creative? Not. Even. How about even a little artsy?! Nope! AR Workshop of Torrance for a fun girls night out?!? Heck yea. The short version is: Come here!!! Check out their MANY projects and reach out to Jennifer with questions. You WILL have a blast. ***LONG VERSION: Stopped by recently for a double birthday/girls day out and it was so much fun. When I heard it was 3hrs, I was a little hesitant but the time flew by. At arrival, we were immediately greeted at the door and whisked to our tables where our projects were already waiting to be conquered. (So organized). The owner already knew our names! (Nice touch). And even though there was another birthday party happening, Jennifer made us feel like the center of attention. She guided us through the entire project and provided great ideas while encouraging us to be creative. (Be brave!)! She was such a gem. Trust me, before this my artsy skills did not extend beyond color by number projects. But now I can proudly add sanding, buffing, priming, color matching, stenciling and even painting. Fancy right?!? YESSSSSSS and totally memorable too. Would highly recommend for all ages and guys would enjoy it too!

If you feel a need to create cute projects to add to your home, check out this place. Bright, sunny work space with interesting retail merchandise. The sample artwork adorning the walls offer plenty of inspiration for future craft projects. This is a great place to multi-task by creating your choice of craft projects and catching up with friends while you work. My friend booked our session for a Sunday afternoon. There was only one other group at another work station, so the 1:1 student/instructor ratio was good. Our instructors were able to check in with us on our project progress throughout. Located in the parking lot with many local businesses, there is still ample room to park.

Love this adorable neighborhood craft workshop! Good for all ages...kids have done summer camp, we've had Girl Scout events and have also done a fun mom's night out.

Saw a class I was interested in. Didnt enroll, just wanted information. Arranged my schedule to be there when theynopened. Showed up 15 minutes prior to class and place is closed. Waited until 10 minutes after class start and nobody. Actually two classes supposedly going on. Called and no answer. Checked again and class are still on schedule. What kind of place is this??

My sister purchased this DIY to-go custom canvas pillowcase kit from AR Workshop in Torrance. This was a great gift and activity for Mother's Day this year. It had clear instructions and needed supplies for this cute craft experience at the comfort of our home.

My BD party was last night & it was phenomenal. We were able to bring our own snacks & drinks. I bought music too but they had a super playlist playing already! Everything was set up And ready to go when we got there. We had enough time to eat, chat, work & laugh! All enjoyed & went home very happy and with our own work of art! Collette, our instructor, was able to handle seven of us women beautifully & patiently as we all need added attention. She gave us detailed instruction but easy to follow, got our supplies, helped with our colors & showed us how to use the tools. She was great. AR is lucky to have her on their staff!

Great experience/fun for those who want to be crafty, but need a little guidance. Perfect for a gal pal get together or a "me time" outing. The concept is similar to Color Me Mine, but with a splash of craftiness, basic woodwork and entry level use of power tools. You register for a workshop, pick the item you want to make, provide any instructions for customization during registration, pay for the workshop/item and then show up. The day of your workshop, everything is provided. There is also a staff member dedicated to your table, who will provide you with instructions and assist you with your project...consider him/her your AR Workshop sous chef. At the end of your workshop session, you walk out with a finish piece. The owner, Cristina, and her husband are awesome and so is the staff. Can't wait to sign up for my next class.

My daughter had her party here. the owner is super responsive and just facilitates a lovely , fun, upbeat party. Space is gorgeous. I would love to do many more kid and adult parties here. Thank you, Jennifer! Such a gem in the South Bay community.

We visited the day after Thanksgiving for their ornament-making event. $5 each and it was much more involved than I thought and SO fun!! We each received a raffle ticket upon sitting at the work table and during the event, they raffled off soft pumpkins. All ages attended - from kids to male and female adults. This place is a bright, cheery creative space with a great vibe. They offer all kinds of workshops that are being added regularly. Fluffy blankets and pumpkins, succulent workshops, calligraphy and brush lettering workshops, jewelry. They've got such variety. Can't wait to go back!

My daughter and I attended one of the "Family Fun Day" workshops and really enjoyed it! I made a canvas tote and my daughter made a wall hanging. The staff, Kelly, was very helpful and assisted us in every step of our projects, and made it easy from start to finish! We love how our projects turned out! I am always looking for new activities and creative outlets for my daughter and me, and this was a great experience! I will definitely be back for another workshop (the knitted blanket caught my eye)! They also offer kids' day camps during school breaks and those look like a lot of fun, too.

What a fun place. We went for our friends birthday. We took wine and cake. And made personalized art. Friendly staff and helpers. Make sure you tip the helper. Eliot was very helpful.

We keep coming back! Such a fun shop to do wood project. You don't have to love art and craft to enjoy the experience. Very friendly staff who will help you guide the project.. Love it! Will definite come back for more! Great idea for birthday parties, me time and a get together!

In my 9 year old daughter's words, "Mommy, this was the best birthday party ever!" Jennifer, the AR Workshop owner, is nothing short of amazing! I think we exchanged close to 30 emails to plan out all the details before my daughter's party and she tirelessly answered all of my questions! My daughter chose to do a tie dye party, so the kids (14 girls and 2 boys) made tie dye t-shirts with the help of Jennifer and her helpful staff. They walked the kids through all the steps and everyone had fun following instructions, and also being silly while making their shirts. The kids got to take home their t-shirts with them as a party favor, which made it super easy! My daughter is now asking if she can come back here for summer camp. So grateful to Jennifer and her staff for making my daughter's party a huge success!!!

I love this place. My daughter had her birthday here a few weeks ago and they really enjoyed the projects.

I went to AR workshop for a mom's night out and had such a wonderful time. We were all able to bring our own snacks and drinks and chit chat before we went to our respective work stations to get our craft on. Despite being a bit sleep deprived as it was Spring forward daylights savings time and had to work a 6 am shift at my hospital earlier that day, I was a bit nervous of creating a nice wooden lazy susan which would be a gift for a dear mentor of mine that was retiring. Also, I'm not that crafty by nature so was unsure how the end product would be. But I had nothing to worry about, as the steps to the project were clearly explained and Christina was able walk us through each step. There was a mix up in the paint chosen for a small portion of my project, and I failed to speak up sooner possibly due to my lack of sleep combined with a couple of glasses of wine. But no matter, Christina/Madison was able to touch it up and the end product could not be more beautiful in my not-so-humble opinion :). I cannot wait to gift it to my co-worker/mentor! If you're looking to do something crafty with some girlfriends or with your own children, you should definitely give this place a try. I'm already planning my next outing at A&R.

This place is amazing! Such helpful staff and the variety of projects is awesome. Fun merchandise in the front of the store that makes for great gifts. Super happy to have them in the community.
