"Good things come in small packages. It can be said about jewelry, it can be said about the cowboy boot keychain I bought at a Montana airport in 2014, and it can be said about Falafel Chee. This weekend-only lunch stand in Culver City’s West LA International Market is no wider than its owner’s wingspan, and the falafel he fries up are stunners. There are only two options on the menu - platter or pita wrap. I opted for the platter, which came with falafel, homemade hummus, and tahini, as well as mango and tamarind sauces that Iraqi owner Manaf Alsudaney ships in from the Middle East. Unlike Israeli falafel, these Iraqi ones are made from a pure garbanzo mix - without any additional herbs or spices. The outcome is crispy, but fluffy so that they absorb the sauces and maintain their crunch, but are also easy to chew. Next time, I’ll be opting for the pita wrap instead of the platter, so that all of the sauces, pickled turnip, and crunchy falafel can get to know each other even better. Even though you’ll likely end up eating in your car, Falafel Chee deserves a spot on your weekend lunch rotation." - Arden Shore

Love this place. It's hard to see off the street as the sign says Hookah. Attendants are real nice. The meat department is very clean and sanitary. They have all the Halal meat you need including cold cuts. The fruit and vegetable department is well organized. All the pastries are in the proper ailes. The drinks and frozen foods are also kept clean and organized.

The guys working there were helpful. Some produce were past their expiration dates. The onion we bought was rotten from inside. The meat market did have a lot of options.

The selection is great in this location. produce is hit and miss! sometimes not as fresh. Parking is a bit tight, a few times I got the last one available. The meat looks pretty good but I never had a chance to try them. I always say next time... ;) The cashier is friendly and catering. overall I am happy with this place and recommend it.

Very good and convenient location for halal meat. The people are very nice. I've gotten other good ingredients here also. Their produce can be hit-or-miss, but I have bought a bunch of things here that were very good. Falafel Chee, the wonderful Falafel restaurant that was in front, is no longer here. But I still stop here quite often to buy all my Halal meats, and occasionally produce items. Their prices are very reasonable and the quality is excellent. Way better than organic at about half the price, and with all the advantages of organic.

I've discovered that most of the restaurants I like use halal chicken.It's of utmost importance for me to not have antibiotics in my food, and halal meats do not. All the meats here are halal. The staff is very nice and there are lots of good items in the store. The produce is hit-or-miss. Overall, I like this market very much.

Garbage and disrespectful environment. A guy seems to be the manager was walking around me making sure I will pay. I am like wow they think people are thief. This is the first and the last time I come to this nasty, disgusting place and very dirty ekkkk go to super king not to this trash
