Our leisure stay at Arabella Hotel Golf and Spa fell short of what one would expect from a 5-star hotel.
The setting is beautiful, with a lovely park and great lagoon views, and the rooms are comfortable. However, the bathroom and shower feel outdated which is disappointing at this level.
Breakfast was mediocre, with limited healthy options. Staff were friendly but slow and inattentive — we repeatedly had to ask for coffee and even a clean tablecloth. The pool is not suitable for adults wanting to swim, as there is no separate area from children. The spa closes early (8pm), and the sauna cannot be used after dinner, which significantly limits the relaxation experience.
The most unacceptable moment occurred during a walk in the park, where we were yelled at in an aggressive and rude manner by someone driving a golf cart, telling us we were not allowed to walk there. The person had no staff identification, leaving us unsure who he even was. We raised this with the front desk and were promised a call back from the manager on duty — which never happened.
Despite the great location, the service, facilities, and handling of guest complaints do not reflect a true 5-star experience. We won’t be returning.
