Arabia Mediterranean Bar & Grill - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"At this moody Mediterranean restaurant in Roosevelt, expect dishes like falafel, chickpea burgers, and shish taouk. They also have outdoor seating with fire pits where you can sip cocktails like the Not Your Grandma’s Coffee espresso martini or the Old Roosevelt with orange zest and star anise. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Party of six for dinner and we all loved our meal. The hummus and pita bread appetizer were a great way to start. We were sat immediately without a reservation and the food came out quickly. Everything was delicious and we will definitely go back. If you like good mediterranean food, you won't be disappointed.

Google
Arabia was a delight to try. Our food was delicious, service was considerate and prompt, and the setting was pleasant. We'll definitely be returning! I'm glad that there are multiple vegan-friendly entrees in addition to a collection of vegan-friendly mezze appetizers. The online menu and in-house menus are a bit confusing on this point. Some items are marked on both menus with a dairy-free symbol while mentioning feta and other dairy ingredients like a tzatziki sauce. The pita bread is specifically marked as dairy free and as non-dairy free on the in-house menu and is mentioned repeatedly as non-vegan online. When I spoke with our server, she confirmed that the pita is vegan as is normal. We were able to get the tzatziki on the side with our falafel and eggplant fritter dishes. They also have a gluten-free pita available for a small premium. Portion sizes were comfortable given the menu prices. These are reasonable for Seattle, and we two were able to fill up with a mezze medley, an order of falafels, and the eggplant fritters. Everything was delicious, and the plate settings were cute and effective. The falafels were a particular treat, and the eggplant was deliciously melted inside its fried shell. The mojito mocktail was a delicious treat even if it cost $10. We could have done with an extra piece of pita or two, but everything lined up well with a little planning. The restaurant bar may be prominent in the photos, but the atmosphere was calm on a weeknight, and there are several tables available to either side of the bar as well as outdoor tables. Three TVs played a basic scenic loop and didn't distract much. Everything was clean and felt well cared for. Our server and a staff member behind the bar were both considerate, timely with their attention, and able to answer questions about the menu options. We couldn't have asked for a nicer experience and have a great Middle Eastern option in our neighborhood to return to!

We really loved our meal here! I got the salmon and my husband got the kebab. They were both so delicious! I had already started eating when I thought to take a pic, but you can see it was also a beautiful plate!

Google
Really fun atmosphere, good drinks, and great service. The happy hour deals were fantastic. But the food was impossibly bland. Very little seasoning, no dimension of flavor, no spice. The absolute blandest Vietnamese food I've ever had, especially considering the price. Would not eat again.

Google
This restaurant was a complete disaster from start to finish. They ignored our reservation, seated other folks before us, and made diners uncomfortable by opening the bay door. After a long wait, they ran out of few items on the menu. The rude waitress refused to serve the replacement which was proposed by the other waiter on the Mezze platter. When the food finally arrived, the lamb chops were raw.

Google
Such a cozy ambiance, paired with great food and drinks! We had several great dishes at Arabia on our last visit, and the lychee martini was a perfect accompaniment. The salads are spiced just right, as are the meat dishes. I enjoyed the kofta, and others in my party had the tzatziki burger and one of the kebabs. The calamari was a great start as well - not chewy, not fishy, lightly breaded, and brilliant to pair with the tzatziki! There’s a cozy space in the back that would be perfect for happy hour drinks or a girls night out. The restaurant has an upscale ambiance while feeling casual enough to be comfortable. We look forward to our next visit!

My family and I wanted to try this new Middle Eastern Restaurant. Pretty good overall. I ordered the Lamb Shank and someone else had ordered the lamb chops.

Updated Review: Downgraded my review to one star because instead of starting a new Google Business Profile with an effort to collect new reviews, the Arabia Mediterranean Bar & Grill updated what was previously Bol Seattle's profile to keep and maintain historical reviews. This shouldn't be the case as its a new business, new food items and more. If this is how they're tricking consumers to find their restaurant I can't imagine what else they're doing. Do better. Original review: Friendly staff, clean environment and savory food. The reason for 4 stars is that the beef on bone was cold in some parts and hot in others.

Yelp
I had dinner here and was wowed by the food and service! The menu had a large selection of dishes, apps, sides. I had the Kabob roll and the beef/lamb was awesome. Service was excellent. While it was too cool to sit outside by the heaters, they look really inviting for more temperate Seattle weather. Great location right by Roosevelt light rail station. Totally recommend!

Yelp
Cute, clean, modern inside with friendly staff! Food was delicious and homemade, just the way you want Mediterranean food to be! The Adan kabob was delicious. Baba ganoush and the walnut spread were great. Will be going back when in the area.

Yelp
We got take out from here on a rainy Saturday. I got the shrimp kabobs and was shockingly disappointed by how small this portion was. The photo when ordering looked like an abundance of shrimp, I wasn't expecting as much as the photo, but I assumed it would be two skewers. It was just one. The shrimp was cooked well and seemed fresh. It was seasoned well. The salad that came with the meal could have been better salted. A bit steep for the price and what was received.

Yelp
This was AMAZING!! I had the shish taouk which was perfectly seasoned and had such a melt in your mouth texture! The salad may look like a normal salad but it has so much flavor, there is a hint of sweetness, perhaps pomegranate? The tzatziki is so creamy and fresh! Every detail of the experience is perfectly executed! Aliza was an amazing server, she kept checking in on me and was very friendly! When you leave the whole staff says bye which is really sweet. It gives a feel of being a guest rather than a customer! The place has a nice, wooden and homey vibe and it's great for an intimate dinner with a partner, some close friends, or just yourself! I will be back again to taste the rest of the menu!

Yelp
Reasons for 4: quite expensive, beef was tough to chew First time here and we were drawn by the outdoor seating - it has fire heaters that look beautiful when you pass by. Sat indoor because it was cold. Comfy chairs and very empty on a Tuesday night, so service was quick. Ordered the Arabia platter which came with chicken, lamb, beef, and shrimp. We liked the chicken and lamb best because they were the juiciest. The beef was tasty but as I said earlier, hard to chew - all the meats had great flavor. The tzatziki sauce was to die for ! I'm sure anything would be good with that sauce on it. To drink, we tried the mango yogurt drink which was so delicious I would buy that by the gallon - not sour at all in my opinion. The chai is unsweetened but there is sugar at the table if you prefer some. Spent $90 so unfortunately not something my friend and I would do often, but a worthwhile experience nonetheless.

Yelp
How does a restaurant manage to fail at every single step? Hospitality? Zero. Customer service? A joke. Food? Inedible. An absolute masterclass in how not to run a restaurant. Can you top that?

Yelp
Went here for lunch today. Service was friendly and food came out correct and super fast. My beef kabob was overcooked but I'd still go back because the flavors were awesome. Also thought it was very reasonably priced.

Yelp
We went here for a Friday night dinner and ordered the shish touk. Chicken was well cooked and rice tasted nice as well. It did not have any hot sauce and the salad was also average. The service was not that good the server did not make sure that one of the orders did not have rice. But they were nice enough to quickly fix that. The place is good from inside but has less seating. Overall an average place there are better Mediterranean places in Seattle
google avatar

Nikita S.

Yelp
Based on the photos, I expected the restaurant to be larger, but upon arrival, I found it to be a smaller space with only a few tables. At the time, just 2-3 tables were occupied. I ordered the shish tawook with salad and no rice, but when my entrée arrived, they had forgotten to remove the rice. They promptly corrected the mistake. The chicken itself was tender, but the overall flavor was average. It wasn't an experience that would compel me to return.

Yelp
Professional, kind and welcoming service! This is the family-run restaurant that just recently replaced the beloved vietnamese restaurant Bol. But, this place has excellent quality middle eastern food (with tons of gluten free options as well)! Those of us in the neighborhood have been eagerly awaiting its opening and it certainly doesn't disappoint. The interior is so cozy, they already have a wide variety of food and drink available (and that's just for their soft opening), and staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. Would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a bright and thoughtful take on mediterranean cuisine! See their soft open menu below - I've been told most items are gluten free, but the dips come with pita (unless otherwise requested) and the chickpea burger comes on a wheat flour bun. Check with your server before ordering; they're very helpful! Excited to try literally everything. Even more excited to see the full menu next week!

Yelp
A fantastic new place in Roosevelt, formerly the location of BOL. Only in soft opening right now but it's a must try!

Yelp
I visited this restaurant while working. I found the place to be quaint and charming.. I enjoyed the tvs with exotic beaches..the service was great along with the food. Nice neighborhood restaurant.

Yelp
The service by the cook and her daughter was outstanding, super friendly and sweet. We tried the halibut which was outstanding and a Middle Eastern stew called Ghormesabzi and that was also wonderful. Then we tried the Turkish coffee, which was also authentic and smelled wonderful.

Craig L.

Yelp
Simply a wonderful restaurant! So glad we discovered this relatively new place. The vibe is low-key and cozy, perfect for the cold winter night we were there. Looks like a nice outdoor seating area too, for when the warm weather finally returns. But the main attraction is the food -- utterly delicious! A blend of spices I haven't tasted at any other Mediterranean restaurants, ever. Really unique, and really flavorful. The menu is also first rate: great variety of appetizers, mains, and desserts without being too long or too short. And the service was top notch. Friendly and efficient without being overbearing. Welcome, Arabia, to Seattle! I'm already making plans to return.

Yelp
Amazing newish addition to the neighborhood. Went here for my birthday last night and everything was yummy and the vibes were great . Everything we ordered was perfect

Silver C.

Yelp
Were super excited to try this new neighborhood restaurant. We ordered the beef kebab for carryout. The description and the photo are completely inaccurate. The written description was: "Beef kabob skewers with bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions." Photo is below showing four kebabs with peppers and mushrooms in between tender meat. What we received was not this. No mushrooms. One small piece of a pepper. One small banana pepper. One small piece of onion. And - the worst part - one kebab of excessively gristly connective tissue that I guess they call "beef" but it's completely inedible. The meat seasoning would have been alright, if it had been edible. Very disappointed!

Yelp
I ordered from grubhub at 705p. My order should have been delivered between 731-756p. I received a text at 724 saying the order was being prepared. I received a text at 751 (when the meal should have been delivered) saying they canceled my order. I got an email that the restaurant was closed. Their hours state they are opened until 9p. Very unsatisfied customer.

Yelp
Everything was so delicious and the service was great! Definitely coming back. I had the shrimp kabob with rice and salad, shared the mezza platter. Excited to try more things! Delicious flavors and everything tasted really fresh.

Yelp
Really good food and great service. We got the Adana Kebab, Grilled Salmon and a Chicken Kebab roll. The ambiance was very nice with an open area with heaters to keep you warm. Everyone working at the restaurant was very kind and cared about the diners. Must visit for Arabian food!

Yelp
- There are many Mediterranean restaurants and cafes in Seattle. What stands out at Arabia Med Cafe's menu were the many lamb entrees and varieties of kebabs. There are enough inspired dishes from Greece ,Turkey, Lebanon, and beyond for a tour of exotic cuisines of the Mediterranean. For value and variety, this cafe is highly recommended. We would return when in area. - The cafe is a casually modern venue with a great looking bar. It felt high- end in the dining area with modern decor , heavy cutlery, and plush seating. Our host/ server Shamir was attentive, friendly, and welcoming, frequently keeping our water glasses filled. - We ordered LAMB SHANK that was well-seasoned, accompanied with aromatic spiced yellow rice, and extra jus on the side. If you enjoy lamb dishes, this is the one to get. 4.5/5 - ADANA KEBABS : we enjoyed the flavors with basmati rice, but texture for us was too soft almost tasting raw. The tomato side salad and tzatziki sauce provided a well- rounded dish. 3.5/5 we took some home to reheat kebab and texture remained soft and still flavorful. - PISTACHIO BAKLAVA: served warm, it was buttery, chunky with pistachios, easy to cut, and not so sweet. We felt a bit of warm spices would improve the experience. 3/5 - Overall experience for 2 with tax and tip: moderate price around $70 - The Ravenna area is a local community with many variety of affordable dining. However, parking will be challenging in neighborhood especially around the busy streets. Arabia is a block away from train station and a block away from a park and ride. Just beware of parking signages.

Yelp
A little more elevated cuisine than we've experienced in other local middle-eastern restaurants. Service was attentive. Ambiance was pleasant--there was music playing, but we could easily converse. Delicious lychee martini. I plan to go back soon.

Yelp
Loved the food and our entire experience here! I recommend the kabobs specifically which were melt in your mouth delicious! We tried a bunch of different items on the menu and they were all on point!

Yelp
One of the best chicken kabobs I've ever had. Marinated perfectly, soft, flavorful, rice is great, sauces are excellent. Very much recommend.

Yelp
Recently opened in the former BOL space. A friend and I went yesterday, we had several appetizers and cocktails, they were all fantastic! I recommend the dolma, so good! Service was great, and the space is beautifully done. We will be back!

Tom B.

Yelp
Sunday, Nov 3, 2024 had dinner with the wife. Had the Arabia platter and eggplants. Two cocktails. My wife is a huge fan of Mediterranean food; I'm not. But, I must say, from the food to drinks it was fantastic! Try the eggplant for sure. Not a big eater do that either, but the sauce in the eggplant was delicious! Verdict: definitely try it! Good eating!

Anil D.

Yelp
Food was delicious and the drinks were really nice as well! Finally someplace that has really good tasting Mediterranean food!

Isabella P.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Aliza took great care of us. I had the call me rose cocktail and it tasted great, I've never seen a rose cocktail at a bar before. For food I had the Turkish pasta that they just added to the menu and it was delicious

Yelp
Came on opening day and had an amazing kabab! Great vibe with amazing food would highly recommend!

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Staff were attentive. I chose this restaurant for my b day dinner after getting a rec on seattle foodie site for good grilled salmon dish. We ate there yesterday. The soups we tried were all good. The dessert was solid but seemed to be a piece of something bought from elsewhere vs made in house. Our mains were so so disappointing. Almost inedible. We are huge salmon fans. We ordered their salmon. When they put it down in front of me the fishy stank was so powerful. Like it may have been not fresh. The piece was so over cooked and dry. And then the sautéed mixed veggies that it was served with were just awful. The boiled cauliflower, bean and other veggies were difficult to identify as they were all deep red in color from the I don't know.. spice mix they were doused in. And so so so spicy. And I can do spice. But this flavor was not good and belonged somewhere other than my sautéed veggie mix. Menu did not list this as an extremely spicy dish. 26 dollars each plate. If you go here, maybe they do better at the hummus and feta bread. My fault for not heading to a fish restaurant for my b day salmon.

Yelp
Arabia Mediterranean Bar & Grill is a great addition to the Roosevelt/Ravenna area. Maybe you want a restaurant that isn't fast food or primarily a bar. Maybe you want to have a business lunch in a comfortable space with good service. Or maybe you just want some tasty Middle Eastern food. In all cases, Arabia Mediterranean Bar and Grill fits the bill. Re: the food: The lamb chops were a standout - perfectly seasoned and tender. Hummus was excellent, too. My only critique (a minor one): is that I wished the pita was slightly thicker and softer, and came out warm. Overall, can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Anthony T.

Yelp
Beautiful space, delicious, flavorful food. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful lunch of the hummus with Lamb, Baba ghanoush, and the Tzatziki burger more than enough for the 2 of us. We'll be back!
google avatar

Tassa T.

Yelp
I want to give a shout out to the excellent staff here at Arabia! They've done a beautiful job remodeling this into a welcoming space for an evening meal. They were also incredibly welcoming to me in a challenging situation. I'd been trapped on a stalled train in the tunnel - and when we finally emerged, everything in the area was closed. What a joy it was to discover this beautiful little dinner spot, and the staff was so incredibly gracious to me (even though I must have looked like an underdressed feral beast). We will be back!!

Yelp
A friend and I met here for lunch today. We both enjoyed the lamb chops, which were grilled to perfection and served on a bed of rice with a lovely cucumber and tomato salad. The servers were welcoming and attentive, and the ambiance is bright and modern. We were the only customers during the noon hour. Hopefully, more people will discover and enjoy this family-owned gem.

Carley G.

Yelp
Ordered from Grubhub and wanted to try something new. I was craving Mediterranean and this place popped up. I ordered a Tiziki burger and Greek fries. Burger arrived not soggy (would not have dinged them for that because I ordered to go) was well seasoned and not greasy! Fries were tasty. Also, got the rice pudding and baklava which I was craving and it hit the spot! This place is new and a great Mediterranean addition to Seattle!

Ron D.

Yelp
Ate here for lunch, and thrilled this was added to the neighborhood. The service was friendly and prompt and attentive. I ordered the Shirazi salad for a starter, which was light, fresh, and delectable. I followed this up with Chili Sauteed Eggplant. I'm kind of picky about eggplant, and yet I think it was actually perfect. Just the tiniest amount of crunch so you had a sense it was there, but soft and melting in your mouth, with a sauce that salt/sweet/spice combo makes me extremely excited to go back. Of course, the meats looked amazing too--I'm hoping to take a companion that will want to split the platter. My friend (also a longtime Seattleite) had the Salmon and he said it was possibly the best salmon he's ever had. I strongly recommend this place.

Alamdar C.

Yelp
I absolutely am thrilled for this new exciting addition to Seattle! I was amazed by their soft opening and omg the food did not disappoint! I've been in the service and hospitality industry for 5 years now and owning a restaurant myself, I can tell you this place has it down!! Staff were super accommodating to a last minute walk in and they had amazing drinks and mock-tails! My go to already are the Hummus plate and the Shish Tawook (Staple Mediterranean Dish). Will definitely be back for their grand opening!

Taylor L.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and service. Food was delicious. We will be coming back to try more things on the menu

Rina R.

Yelp
Food is always fresh and delicious! Service is superb, always go the extra mile! Their desserts are a gem, Carrot Halwa is incredible.

Randy K.

Yelp
We loved this place. Our first time ever. Friends recommended it. The falafel was the best. We did a bunch of appetizers tIt seems a great way to go. Try it all. We will be back.

Yelp
Delicious flavors, quick and attentive friendly service and gorgeous interior!! Love the plants. Definitely coming back to try out some more dishes.

Marci F.

Yelp
$24.99 kebob platters don't match what's shown on Yelp advertised menu. Meal served with just one skewer of meat opposed to three as pictured. Owner's response to email complaint was "well we have to make money". However did enjoy hummus being served warm.

Haseeb K.

Yelp
I had a fantastic experience here. The service was attentive and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The ambience was perfect for a pleasant evening out. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Definitely try the mix BBQ platter and the Lamb Kabsa

Leili B.

Yelp
I'm excited to have a new Persian restaurant nearby. I went for their soft opening and the gourmet sabzeh was delicious. Customer service was great: friendly and attentive. Will come again with my family.

Saad W.

Yelp
Just tried this place. The food is great and so is the service which is fast didn't keep us waiting. The place is perfect to hangout and eat good food.

Nathan J.

Yelp
Great food and service! It just opened recently and I will be back! I had the lamb this time I'm excited to come back and explore the menu. Also great soundtrack btw

Kevin H.

Yelp
Went to Arabia for lunch and had an amazing meal. Finally a high quality middle eastern restaurant with great food and nice surroundings. We had the baba ghanoush, falafel, shish tawouk and gormeh sabzi. Evertything great. Well cooked and not dried out. We will be back!!

Raheel Z.

Yelp
The only fancy Mediterranean spot in Seattle with great food! these kababs lived upto the hype

Leslie C.

Yelp
Highly recommend this beautiful new restaurant in the Roosevelt neighborhood. The decor gives a little dark eclectic modern age vibe. The food and service is so incredible, I've eaten here twice since they opened! I don't mind making the drive from the south end just to eat here. Lastly, I think it's a perfect spot for all types of occasions.
