Colombian restaurants to try in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Located on the outer edge of Chinatown, this small spot offers freshly made bunuelos and other baked goods at breakfast and a lunch/dinner menu of empanadas, arroz con pollo, soups and seafood, complemented by imported sodas. Typical sides include fried plantains, rice and French fries, providing a compact, home-style taste of Colombian cuisine near the Strip." - Krista Diamond

Google
I’m from New York and every time I come in as Vegas I’m always stopping here because I love my Colombian food and I love the way to make the coffee empanadas it was. Everything is fresh. You can see it when it’s fresh real good I recommend this place 100%.

Salome R.

Google
Felt like a home cooked meal. Mondongo was delicious my baby loved it. Bandeja Paisa was large and perfectly cooked large chicharrón ! So good. The beef wasn’t that great or anything to rave about but the other main components were great. The empanadas were delicious medium to large and thick compared to other places. The fresh juices we’re made perfectly to our liking.

Google
I loved Aracely’s Restaurante 🇨🇴 The food is delicious and has an authentic Colombian flavor. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is excellent everyone is super friendly. You can really taste the love in every dish. I’ll definitely be coming back! Nos vemos pronto !!!!

The first time I came, the juices and food were so good that I decided to return and try something different. Unfortunately, this time the experience was very disappointing. The bandeja paisa was poorly made—the beans had no flavor, and instead of the ground beef I ordered, I received shredded beef with no seasoning, (the rice was good though) We ordered Mora juice (a Colombian juice), but were given blackberry juice instead, which tasted terrible. My husband ordered lulo juice, but it had almost no flavor. While the restaurant did remake it, the result was still not good. The service was slow even though there were two servers, and it seemed like one wasn’t helping the other. The only positive aspect was our waitress, who was kind and understanding when I explained the situation. Sadly, based on this visit, we won’t be coming back.

Located in Las Vegas on the corner of Jones and Twin, large parking area. I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Aracely’s restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. The staff was attentive and Mariela, Aracely and the staff made us feel truly welcome throughout the meal. The food was exceptional, good portions, great quality and, was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I ordered bandeja, it was perfectly cooked and delicious. Even the appetizers “patacones” and the dessert “leche quemada” was the perfect finish. What really stood out was the genuine hospitality. Our server checked in just the right amount and made great recommendations from the menu. You could tell the whole team cared about delivering a great experience. There is a small store with a great selection of Colombian products such as snacks, sodas among others. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who appreciates great food paired with excellent service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
EXCELLENT!!! The food is like you are in your grandma’s kitchen, the services is outstanding, kind, happy, friendly, das and accurate. The owners are so sweet and welcoming, they have food for everyone with a family oriented atmosphere. We had a great time, if you are Colombia is a must, and if you aren’t is a should , can’t come to Vegas and not visit Aracely’s . We are beyond happy we did !

Google
Excellent customer service. We currently live in Italy and my wife and I miss eating delicious Colombian food. We went here for the 1st time after church on Mother's day and really enjoyed the hospitality and the ambiance of the restaurant. We will be back to try other items on the menu.

Google
I love Colombian food, it was very plain. If you like yours with salt or flavoring... Not so great. Gotten my order wrong as well.... I didn't complain about it... Had to purchase what I actually wanted after paying for something I didn't ask for.. I was very confused... Also a language barrier.. it wouldn't have been a problem but I did clearly specify properly what I wanted in Spanish but gotten something totally different... Very sad and disappointed.

Yelp
Everything was amazing! The service, the food and the atmosphere! Also there is a small bakery where the pastries are freshly baked!

Yelp
This place is delicious and has really affordable prices. The platter we got fed over 6 people. The cheese arepas were delicious. I would come back here.

Yelp
Stopped by to get a coffee and the coffee was great. At some point i have to try the empanadas as I heard they were good. For now the coffee was great and gave me that boost I needed!

Yelp
Saw the great reviews and had to stop in for a visit. Venturing off strip are so many hidden gems! Surprised hubs with a taste of home. First time visiting may look like it's closed but it is indeed open. We loved the hometown vibe. Warm welcome like walking into a relatives home. Menu has some classic options for entrees and apps. Stopping in for breakfast we went with two soups and it struck a heart chord with us. Reminding us of some home cooked meals during the holidays. Portions are large! Comes with a salsa which is not spicy at all. Typical with Colombian cuisine. The flavor was awesome to pour on everything. It enhances the flavors and gives it a nice balance of acid with all the rich flavors. Loved the empanadas it has a cornmeal crust, very different from Argentinian. The arepa with queso was a white corn meal sort of like grits consistency with cheese mixed into the batter and pan grilled. So yummy. Put that salsa on it! If you're new to Colombian food try an empanada with salsa that's not spicy at all. And if spice is life.. they have Tapatio. Large space with projector screen and flat screens around the restaurant for a fun atmosphere to watch the soccer games. Plenty of inside seating during those summer months. Free parking. Tap to pay.

Yelp
The picada and 13 empanadas made a group of 9 women full!! Amazing jib on the decorations.

Yelp
On top of giving misinformation over the phone, their menu not being correct on any platform, have ordered before and send the wrong or missing items, and on top when you call, they are SUPER RUDE as if they are doing you a favor by keeping their business afloat. TERRIBLE TREATMENT TO CUSTOMERS.

Jasmin G.

Yelp
The food amazing, ambiance great, and service is super friendly. You get such a family vibe and that's rare nowadays

David F.

Yelp

Yelp
Amazing food with a cozy family style feel. The people I went with are generally not fans of Latin food between the lactose intolerance and the aversion to spice, so I already knew this must be good if they were raving so hard about it. The beef rib soup was deliciously brothy, perfectly seasoned, light yet satisfying, and full of tender chunks meat. Chicharrones were ok- tasty but sometimes tough to chew. Highly recommend trying the pandebono and bunuelos at least once. I was looking at the pastry counter trying to figure out what things were, and owner gave me one to try. A fresh tray of bunuelos came out just as we were wrapping up, so of course a half dozen had to come with us for later! I also loved the arepa con queso. There were a few arepa options on the menu, and the waitress recommended that one because I said I like a little sweetness. This arepa was soft, warm, slightly sweet, and super cheesy. Absolutely need to get this again. Do yourself a favor and try this place out!

Yelp
We love this hidden gem in Las Vegas. If you want authentic, home-cooked food, please check out this restaurant. Here is our full review of Aracely's Colombian Restaurant, https://youtu.be/Cgj8TdQG-hU?si=8k7WOEWGKUUL3qVE

Yelp
We came here to celebrate a birthday. Delicious food. Excellent service we absolutely recommend this place. The best Colombian food in Vegas

Yelp
This was the closest thing to having food from back home. The service was great. Very friendly wait staff. I ordered items that I wanted my in laws and husband wanted to try. Arepas con queso, Empanada paisa, Sancocho de Res, Arroz con Pollo and Bandeja Paisa. Omg. The arepas was so good. Empanadas was delicious. The Sancocho was not real Salty. Just right according to my sister in law. The arroz con pollo and the Bandeja Paisa was yummy. I also ordered Jugo de Guayaba. Delicious. I would definitely come back next time I am visiting.

Yelp
Me and a couple of my coworkers came here for lunch. Wasn't too busy, about 6 tables being served, 2 servers doing their thing. Me and my coworker ordered the bandeja paisa, and the other order some appetizers for his meal. I will speak for my meal, bandeja paisa. This was at best a 3 star meal, if it was cooked properly. Rice is regular, beans were not memorable, the sausage/ chorizo wasn't great, grill steak was supposed to be medium...it was well done, the pork was actually good....somewhat moist and crunchy, the round biscuit thing, forgot the name appears to be something from a frozen IQF product. All in all, food was meh. The service we were provided was pretty bad. First of all, the restaurant wasn't packed so we thought service would be great since we saw so many great reviews. First up, our server didn't want to speak English to us, she only spoke to our Spanish speaking friend. Second, service was slow she kept checking on other tables and taking their order, mind you there are only 4 other tables in the room with 2 servers. Third, the food took sometime to get to us. The bandeja paisa took long to cook and get to us. Fourth, when we were done with our meal, she ignored us. The last straw was, she charged us gratuity for a party of 3 which was caught by another server who called her out on it. She asked us why we were getting charged gratuity, we didn't even know. Long story short, we're not coming back. If this is the definition of Colombian food, never gonna eat this again. Somebody suggest to me a better Colombian restaurant

Yelp
If you know me, you know I rarely give low reviews because I never want to hurt any small business however, as a fellow Colombian in Las Vegas I felt I needed to make this. This is just my opinion(: This is my 2nd time at Aracely's. I hadn't come back in well over 6 years because my first visit wasn't the best but due to a shortage in Colombian restaurants I decided to give it another try. Let's start with the highs. It was Colombias Independence Day, so they did have live music going which was nice. The ambience was very welcoming as well! Our waitress as very friendly and checked up on us regularly. Our food also didn't take long. We spent $90 on two dishes, 4 empanadas, 2 sodas, 2 juices and 2 breads. It seemed a big high for the quality of the food. Personally my favorite things were the Maracuya juice and the almohabana bread. Everything else lacked a lot of flavor and more Colombian sazón. They also don't have many options on the menu. I realize it can be hard to replicate food from another country here in the US but if I had to recommend this place to someone who has never had Colombian food it wouldn't be my first pick. The bakery side did seem to have some really beautiful desserts but we did not try them.

Yelp
This place was outstanding! All the food was so fresh and delicious and our service was phenomenal. We were searching for Colombian food, and I am glad we chose this one! It is a little pricey, but definitely worth it.
google avatar

Amber Z.

Yelp
The food was delicious. All items ordered were freshly prepared. The menu was Bilingual, and Descriptions were written in English. I stopped by for lunch, and the restaurant wasn't bustling but had a good flow of customers. The only downside, I would have to say, was the wait staff Forgetting drinks and refills. Also, had to ask for the check.

Yelp
Very good food, amazing service. Colombian food very well made. You won't get disappointed. Nice place, very good food and great service.

Yelp
google avatar

Ericka M.

Yelp
The restaurant is very welcoming. The service was great. The ladies who helped us were very friendly from start to finish. My husband and I shared the chicharron con Arepa appetizer. It's obviously greasy but worth the calories, lol. We both got the calentado de la casa, which has two different meats, carne asada and colombian Chorizo. Everything was so delicious we will definitely return for their caldo de Costilla.

Yelp
Authentic Colombian food !!! Service great ! Ambience very welcoming! Highly recommend

Yelp
My husband and I had a last minute dinner date. We moved here from FL where there is an assortment of good Columbian restaurants. We have yet to find a good one in Vegas until today. All the food was very flavorful and service was amazing! Our waitress (forgot her name) was super polite, always topped our drinks, and very attentive to our needs! OMG...you need to go to try the empanadas! I ended up buying some to go for later! I definitely would come back just off this experience!

Mike R.

Yelp
Good was good, good menu selection. Service was friendly and fast. Family restaurant but reasonably quiet enough to carry on a conversation.

Yelp
The food is just meh...I recently visited this location after getting a certificate on restaurant.com and upon the check arriving the waitresses advised us they don't take coupons. I would not have come without the coupon. But if the establishment doesn't like any coupons they should sever the relationship with the company the driving up there business. I will not be returning.
google avatar

Robert O.

Yelp
I don't know why the food is like. My wife and I purchased a certificate from Restaurants.com and when we got to the restaurant we weren't greeted. We had to find someone and ask about the certificate. The lady informed us that it need to be printed and that even though the certificate said $25 that it wasn't actually worth $25. After talking to her we are going to exchange the certificate and take our business somewhere else. Just a reminder that customer service isn't every where.

Christian T.

Yelp
Fantastic Colombian cuisine in a really cute atmosphere. They take their time making the food fresh, and they are always friendly. I recommend the empanadas and the chicharrones!

Emma H.

Yelp
We visited this amazing Colombian restaurant. The food was excellent, authentic, and fresh. Service was great. There are so many choices so we tried several things. Great ambiance. We will definitely go back.

Yelp
Stopped by for a Sunday breakfast and I'm so glad we did. Seated right away we ordered coffee and water for the table. For my main meal I ordered calentado con pericos and my partner ordered the calentado de la casa. Both were excellent! Great vibe, delicious food, I'll definitely be going back to try more.
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is gross. I ordered churrasco. They asked me if I wanted the steak med rare or med well. I asked for med rare and they brought me a piece of meat that was 50% fat and completely grey in color. It was well done and tasted old. I spent $55 on the worst food I've had in Vegas, and now im sick. Do yourself a favor and don't eat here.

Angie K.

Yelp
I am very disappointed!
google avatar

Robert C.

Yelp
We had to stop here because we happened to see that they served Colombian cuisine and my friend had left his country a year ago and was nostalgic for the fare. I am so glad we stopped in because the service was great. For a Monday afternoon, they were quite busy but the waitress checked in several times and made sure everything was to our liking. He got steak red beans and rice, and I got the seafood soup fried plantains and salad, sausage with arepa, and lemonade sweetened with sugar cane. It was delicious.

Arabella P.

Yelp
If you visit Las Vegas! You must to come and visit Aracelys's Sazón. Colombian real food!!! Jugos, arepas, Sancocho de Res ( Meat soup) , Bandeja Paisa! Delicioso!!!!! Pilar is the best waitress!!! Great service!!!!
google avatar

Oceanbreezer F.

Yelp
* Food was good but overestimated. * Service was prompt and prices are very reasonable. * Ambiance is very casual family like environment.

Paul E.

Yelp
Real good food. Love their ajiaco de pollo, empanadas and arepas de choclo!! Recommend!!
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
Ordered a huge tray of banuelos for my daughter and her class. She did a book report on Colombia so I thought it would be fun to share a Colombian food item with her class. They are absolutely delicious! And the owner and staff are so kind! Definitely coming back to try the rest of their food.
google avatar

Adela D.

Yelp
Great Service!! Delicious food. We had empanadas de carne, bandeja paisa and a cazuela de mariscos everything was delicious and not to forget my jugó de Lulo!!!
google avatar

Lexi C.

Yelp
Food was delicious, service was very attentive, the ambiance was cute! It wasn't too fancy or to laid back. Felt very comfortable!
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
This is definitely the best colombian restaurant of the very few that there are in Las Vegas. My family is colombian so we have tried all of the few there are here. The agua panela was super good! The bandeja paisa was great as well, the Chicharron here is actually very good unlike at some other Colombian restaurants here. The buñuelos and pandebonos here were also good! They weren't too greasy feeling and were very soft. The service could have been a bit better, they had to ask for our drinks a total a total of three times because they forgot and I just also wish they were more attentive.
google avatar

WT C.

Yelp
The yucca fries tasted like year-old frozen meh. Not gonna be a return customer for mediocre mess. I am a vegetarian so I can only judge the yucca.
google avatar

Martha B.

Yelp
We ordered 3 meat empanadas. They were cold, so we returned them. A second time, they were still cold and they gave us 1 meat and 1 chicken. We also ordered 3 arepas de choclo and 3 de queso, and they gave us 3 queso & 2 choclo. Waitress stared arguing. Food was cold.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
Food was delicious and done nicely, service was quick and friendly, will eat there again for sure in the future.

Susan C.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. We had the pan de bono, empanadas, churrasco and sobre barriga. We topped it off with agua de Panela con limón.
google avatar

Maritza G.

Yelp
For being Colombian myself food was pretty good. Atmosphere was very good had good music playing in the back. Customer service was good just need to be a little more attentive cause us Colombian are very loud and full of life and I definitely am one of those that love to be friendly and very attentive with my crowd and all Ethnicity. Empanadas were really good and I really enjoy my sancochito ( beef soup). One thing that really took me back was their white rice. I know it's very plain but the flavor took me back home and I LOVED that. Highly recommend this place to all you Latin lovers and to those that like to try something different.

Brayan A.

Yelp
google avatar

Angelica V.

Yelp
I am Colombian and I approve this restaurant! This place is good!!!! We ordered empanadas, chicharron pandebono , ajiaco and sancocho for food and for juices we ordered 2 lulo and 1 mora both in water instead of milk. We decided to only give them 4 stars because the juices had too much water so you couldn't taste the fruit flavor. Other than that everything was awesome! Great customer service!

Kyle S.

Yelp
We had called in to reserve a table early in the day for the soccer game, and was given the instruction to show up at 3 and that no reservation was needed. Yet when we had showed up at 3, we were told a reservation WAS needed and it was $50 a person. What an unorganized mess and terrible service.

Marcia S.

Yelp
We came for dinner and to watch the game. They turned us away. Wouldn't even let us order takeout. Very biased owner.
google avatar

Andrea M.

Yelp
Empanadas, buñuelos, and fruit juices were great and promptly brought to us. My husband ordered a chicken breast with plantains and tostones. The chicken was flavorless and the tostones were dry and hard to chew. My arroz con pollo was ok, not great, as my daughter's Tamal valluno. Prices were reasonable but as a Colombian, I know how Colombian food should taste. Service was kind, but everyone was distracted, having side conversations, and not paying attention to customers. Overall, it was a very mediocre experience.

Felix ..

Yelp
