Aram Vada Pav Review - Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus - Mumbai - The Infatuation

"Mumbai runs on vada pav, the city's iconic street food. A spiced ball of chunky potato mash is dipped in yellow chickpea batter and deep fried before it’s tucked into a split-open pav bun, along with dry red garlic chutney, green cilantro chutney, and a fried green chilli pepper or two. Among Mumbai’s many vada pav joints, 85-year-old Aram is an institution that always impresses. Wait your turn to grab the assembled-to-order snack from this sidewalk counter. While the potato filling for most vadas in the city is laced with turmeric, Aram bucks the trend, and proves that the golden powder isn’t necessary for maximum flavor. Sips of buttermilk will help break the heat as you marvel at the grand Victorian Gothic railway terminus across the street." - Roshni Bajaj Sanghvi

Fantastic!!!!! One of the best vada pav I ever had in Mumbai. Tasty, yummy and authentic served with chutney and chillies. Located right in front of the BMC headquarter and beside the cst station exit. This place is a popular and very trustworthy place to have lip smacking vada pav options. If you ever visit mumbai do try vada pav here ,operating since 1939 its one of the oldest eateries in mumbai and legendary.

Aram Vada Pav, located opposite Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai, Is a legendary spot that has been serving delectable Maharashtrian snacks since 1939. Renowned for its iconic vada pav, this establishment offers a crispy potato fritter nestled in a soft pav, complemented by flavorful green and red chutneys, and often accompanied by a fried green chili for that extra kick. Beyond the classic vada pav, Aram also serves variations like Ukdiche Modak Aram Vada Pav is open from 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM, Monday through Saturday, and remains closed on Sundays. Given its location and the quality of its offerings, it's a must-visit for anyone looking to experience traditional Mumbai street food.

I could understand the hype of this place , it's right in front of CSMT with a great history but their Vada pav was just average, nothing special about it . Although they do have a pretty vast menu with so many other amazing options to try for , with special kokam & aap panna drinks.

Good Vada Pav—worth trying at least once. I tried the Cheese Grilled Vada Pav and found the taste to be good, though not the best I’ve had. Still, it’s a satisfying snack and definitely recommended to try at least once if you’re in the area.

Ordered a regular vada pav and a cheese grilled vada pav and both were AMAZING. Also loved the view of the busy streets of Fort, traffic and pedestrians alike rushing to get to work, with the CST’s amazing architecture in the backdrop. Felt like a real tourist here experiencing Mumbai

As soon as I left CSMT, I stopped by Aaram Vada Pav for a quick bite, and I must say, it did not disappoint! The size and taste of the vada pav were absolutely marvelous, and it's priced very reasonably, making it one of the best vada pav experiences I've ever had. Perfect for grab-and-go eating! I also tried their pav bhaji, and it had great taste and quality food overall. However, the seating area and service could use some improvement to enhance the dining experience. Overall, the place has a nice vibe and is definitely worth visiting if you're looking for delicious and affordable food near CSMT.

One of the best Vada Pavs I had in Mumbai, hands down! Located just opposite to CSMT railway station, Aram Vada Pav is truly a gem for vada pav lovers ! It was really crowded so we had to wait for sometime, but it was worth it. Since I already had regular vada pavs at various places already, I decided to try something different, i.e. butter cheese grilled vada pav.. and it was truly delicious! If you’re on a trip to Mumbai, Aram Vada Pav is not to be missed !

The best vada pav at a reasonable price. Even other items were good. We also had Kothimbir vadi, pav bhaji, misal pav along with vada pav. The service was very good. Of course we will have to wait during rush hours as the food and the service is great so the customers will also be more. So better be early than to wait.
