Aram Vada Pav

I went looking for the famous Aram vada pav and after standing in two different lines (one for the vada pav ticket) and another yo enter into the restaurant, got a taste of it. The pav was cold and rather dry but the stuffing was good. The misal pav was great but I have definitely had better. The staff were super friendly and did what they could to control the crowd while at the same time offer the best service that they could. This place may either offer you a great experience or may just fall flat on its face due to its hype. But they atleast accept online payments. A place worth considering possibly on weekdays when the crowd is lesser than on a weekend.

This place certainly lives up to its reputation. It’s my first time trying vada pav, and this was amazing! I was initially a little skeptical as it looked really plain and the patty had been sitting there for a while. But when I took a bite, it was hot and flavorful! The grilled cheese version was even better! It looked like a completely different snack, and had much more kick to it. It’s much pricier though, at INR60 compared to the regular at INR25. I went at 2pm and got my items in just 10 minutes. I don’t understand the negative reviews on here. It’s hard to complain about a snack this cheap and good.

We visited Aaram Vada Pav, which is located just across the road from CSMT, and as expected, the place was super crowded. There was a long queue and it took us around 15 minutes to finally get our vada pav. They have an outdoor counter as well as a proper indoor seating area, but this time we only tried their vada pav and taak (chaas). The vada pav was okay, but I found the chutney a little too spicy for my taste. The vada filling is also slightly different — it’s lighter in colour compared to the usual yellow potato filling. But the best part was the taak (chaas) — it was very chilled, super refreshing, and honestly the highlight of our visit. Even with the long wait and crowd, Aaram Vada Pav is still worth trying if you’re around CSMT and want a quick Mumbai-style snack 😋

Overall, the flavor is good, but for me, the spice level was a bit low. I had to ask for extra green chillies to match my preference. The spicy chutney works well, while the sukka chutney adds texture. I personally don’t prefer sweet chutney in vada pav, but that’s subjective. There’s almost always a crowd, both at the snack counter and inside the restaurant, which shows how popular the place is. Despite the rush, it’s definitely worth trying if you’re around CSMT.

The quentiessential taste of Mumbai which is the Vada pav & yeah this place serves it among the best that there is. Location is top notch as it is right opposite the iconic CST. Taste is good, the jump size means have two and your meal is done. Expect to stand in line as this is a hit location, lucky of you getting sitting arrangement.

The normal vada pav costs just ₹25, which is amazing considering the quality and legacy of the place. They also offer add-ons like butter or cheese for those who want something extra, and even with those, the overall cost stays very reasonable. On average, a person can easily enjoy a filling meal for ₹50–₹100, depending on how many vada pavs or add-ons you choose. Despite the heavy crowd, the service was fast and well-organized. The staff handled orders efficiently, and cleanliness was well maintained. My visit to Aram Vada Pav was more than just a food stop—it was an experience.
