recently visited Aram Vada Pav (since 1939), and honestly, it felt like I was tasting a piece of Mumbai’s history. Known as one of the oldest vada pav shops in the city, Aram has managed to keep its charm and reputation alive for decades. Even today, the place is always buzzing with people—there was a long line, but it moved quickly, and the wait was totally worth it.
The moment I took my first bite, I understood why this place is so legendary. The vada was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside, with a well-balanced masala that wasn’t too spicy but full of flavor. The pav was fresh, and the chutneys complemented the vada beautifully. The taste felt classic, authentic, and unchanged—simple yet incredibly satisfying. There’s something comforting about eating vada pav the way it has been made since 1939.
What impressed me even more was the pricing. The normal vada pav costs just ₹25, which is amazing considering the quality and legacy of the place. They also offer add-ons like butter or cheese for those who want something extra, and even with those, the overall cost stays very reasonable. On average, a person can easily enjoy a filling meal for ₹50–₹100, depending on how many vada pavs or add-ons you choose.
Despite the heavy crowd, the service was fast and well-organized. The staff handled orders efficiently, and cleanliness was well maintained. My visit to Aram Vada Pav was more than just a food stop—it was an experience. If you’re in Mumbai and love street food, this iconic spot is an absolute must-visit.
