Aramark Corporation Is Getting Rid of Plastic Straws | Eater
"An international food-service provider that operates in schools, hospitals, sports stadiums and other large venues announced a plan to significantly reduce single-use plastic utensils—including straws—by introducing environmentally friendly alternatives beginning this September and completing the transition by 2022. The company, which says it serves about two billion meals across 19 countries annually, estimates the program will remove roughly 100 million plastic straws from its operations each year and cites consumer research (60% concerned about plastic overuse; nearly 80% trying to reduce personal plastic consumption) as a driving factor. Leadership framed the move as a way to meaningfully lower environmental impact while continuing to deliver nourishing experiences, and the provider will continue to offer plastic straws on request for people with special needs and hospital patients." - Chris Fuhrmeister
Worst service possible. Never respond to issues you may have. Can never get ahold of your service rep. Try to prevent you from getting out of contract.
