Arario Museum, Tapdong Jeju Island Korea: 80’s-looking hotels float the faded area but there’s a concrete hip revivalism and a handful of very cool arty cafes dotting the stretch. Reminiscent of the shopping stretch in Venice beach in LA but with more exposed concrete, this is my concrete heaven. Arario museaum has 3 outlets in the area, Tapdong is the best and most exciting one. One is housed in an eerie old bank with original fittings such as windows, toilets and baths. All feature raw exposed concrete. It’s housed in an iconic red building. Art pieces - like the museums – are bold and dramatic. It has its own painfully cool LA-esque department store and café. There’s the concrete wall turned street-style canvas where every Instagrammer is busy snapping themselves away. This is the hippest area in Jeju Island. #eatstylishtravelstylish

Beautiful modern art pieces that are thought provoking and visually stimulating. The explanations are well written and summarised without being overtly descriptive. The entrance price is too expensive though at 10k KRW.... 10082019

Nice place with exhibits. A recommended place for modern art lovers. What I found really interesting here is the statue of a lady, which looks exactly like living one.

Super! The museum has 6 floors total and features artists from all around the world. A few famous ones from Baek Namjun and Andy Warhol too.

Visited Jeju at business, I found this museum by chance walking off the town. The building itself is a public art. The exhibition is a collection of excellent contemporary art. The staff is also serving for good-looking exhibits that goods are left well to the conscience of the audience with little ready-made. Personally I was happy being able to resume the works of Nam Jun Pike and Azerm Kiefer's work in 30 years. I want to visit again. It is a place recommended for art lovers.

What a wonderful contemporary museum. Several galleries each around an artist or theme. Nice place to spend some time.

The museum! Wow, just wow! It wasn't just a place of dusty artifacts, but a vibrant portal to another time and space. Each exhibit felt like a curated story, whispering secrets of the past and sparking my imagination. I wandered through halls of wonder, awed by the sheer creativity and audacity of humankind. Interactive displays brought history alive, and I found myself laughing at ancient jokes and marveling at forgotten technologies. The architecture itself was a masterpiece, a symphony of light and shadow that echoed the exhibits within. It wasn't just a building; it was an experience, a conversation with the past that resonated deep within me. I left feeling inspired, humbled, and utterly changed. More than a museum, it was a voyage of discovery, a reminder of the beauty and brilliance that lies within the human story. I never thought a museum could be so... original!

A great place to see some interesting art and installations. Very well curated, with less known an well known artists. They have international and local artists on display. I was pleasantly surprised by how many floors there are, and by the diversity of art. They have student discount as well :)
