"This summer pop-up in Soho has got more flavours of ice cream than sunny days there are to eat them. But with flavours like mango sticky rice, dirty horchata, and kalamansi gochujang sorbet, we’re going to do our best to get through them. We checked out Araw and added it to the Hit List.    " - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

"We can hand on heart say we have not tasted ice creams like the ones at Araw in Soho. The incredible flavour combinations deliver on what they promise, like the mango sticky rice with chewy, coconutty grains of rice. Or a milky earl grey with pieces of crunchy crumble that tastes like dunking a malted milk in tea. Although a couple of flavours are a little too subtle, the majority hit the spot. And the frilly parasol by this picture-perfect pastel hatch on the quiet Soho alleyway just adds to the holiday-feel of the place. The pop-up is around until October, but we hope it stays forever." - heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, daisy meager

Finally got to try this much-hyped Filipino ice cream spot, which now has a pop-up in a Soho alley. Previously, it was only available for online orders. I have to say, I loved almost every flavor! This place definitely lives up to the hype. Filipino ice cream just proves that Asian flavors are unbeatable! 😎 I wish every ice cream shop offered a Tasting Flight! You get to pick several scoops at once—no need to choose, have it all! For £8, you can choose 6 scoops. It was so good, I added 2 more. 💜 Tried 9 flavors in total, and loved almost all of them: / Ube Halaya: My absolute favorite! Rich taro flavor with a slightly chunky texture—so good! / Earl Grey Malted Crumble: My second favorite. Earl Grey fans will love it; super intense with crunchy malted crumble. / Pandan Onde Onde: Tasted a bit mild after the Ube, sweet but not enough pandan flavor. / Mango Sticky Rice: Classic mango, rich and delicious. / Coco Raspberry Lychee: A bit too sweet for my taste. / Dirty Horchata: Coffee flavor, but also a bit sweet. / Pastel De Nata: Creamy Portuguese custard tart flavor, slightly sweet. 💛 Besides ice cream, their traditional Filipino shaved ice Halo Halo - Klasik is also a must-try. It’s like a mixed dessert with ube jam, red beans, sweet corn, brown rice, sago, coconut jelly, and a scoop of ube ice cream. I’d recommend adding an extra ube scoop for more flavor. 🧡 Also tried and liked: / Everything But The Bagel: Sweet and salty, interesting texture. / Kalamansi w/ Gochujang Sorbet: Korean chili flavor, kind of like spicy ice cream. ♥️ Flavors to try next time: • Basque Cheesecake (sold out when I visited) • Matcha w/ Black Sesame Praline (sold out too) • Roasted Banana w/ Tahini Fudge (staff recommended) • Brown Butter Sage w/ Spiced Apple Compote

Lots of exotic flavour of ice cream, which brings you that authentic South East Asian taste. Calamansi Sobert and Mango Sticker Rice ice cream are awesome. It’s worth to try the 6-flavour tasting fight!

Excellent ice cream with really interesting flavours. I had the mango sticky rice ice cream and was lucky enough to try the Cantoast popup salted egg French toast. Super yum!

I visited for the first time today, and what a wonderful place it is! It is so vibrant and colourful, it lights up the whole of Soho! The ice cream flavours were to die for! My favourites were the Basque Cheesecake and the Mango!! Even the though the flavours were amazing, the standout highlight for me was the kind, caring and confident staff. Aiyana served me, and she was not only detailed in the explanations of the flavours, allowing me to choose my six flavours for the taster box, but she was also very chatty and had such a positive, happy vibe! This made the experience all the more better, and brightened my day! I would highly recommend Araw, and I would go back myself, and try another six flavours!! 5/5 Stars !!

Truly the best place to get ice cream with Asian flavours!! I have never had Earl Grey ice cream before, it had such a nice floral touch to it and wonderful crunch from the malted crumble. It was such a surprise to stumble upon this little shop next to Rupert Street, the server was incredibly attentive and was very patient explaining all the flavours. I was very intrigued by the Everything But the Bagel flavour which I enjoyed, a cream cheese base with a garlicky twist, and the Kalamansi with GochuJang sorbet, which I surprisingly enjoyed. Would recommend to anyone with a brave palette!

The ice cream at Araw is excellent - creative and tasty. There were a lot more flavors that I expected, with Filipino classics such as Ube and Pandan. They also had a good selection of halo halo. I wish Araw Ice Cream will be more widely available in London, especially the Ube, Earl Gray, Basque Cheesecake, and Pastel de Nata flavors!

Lovely Filipino ice cream. Some exotic blends including pandan onde onde, calamansi and gochujang, mango sticky rice, etc but the main joy here is ube. One of the top flavours of choice. We also had a buko pandan halo halo but it was just too much ice.
