Finally got to try this much-hyped Filipino ice cream spot, which now has a pop-up in a Soho alley. Previously, it was only available for online orders.
I have to say, I loved almost every flavor! This place definitely lives up to the hype. Filipino ice cream just proves that Asian flavors are unbeatable!
š I wish every ice cream shop offered a Tasting Flight! You get to pick several scoops at onceāno need to choose, have it all! For Ā£8, you can choose 6 scoops. It was so good, I added 2 more.
š Tried 9 flavors in total, and loved almost all of them:
/ Ube Halaya: My absolute favorite! Rich taro flavor with a slightly chunky textureāso good!
/ Earl Grey Malted Crumble: My second favorite. Earl Grey fans will love it; super intense with crunchy malted crumble.
/ Pandan Onde Onde: Tasted a bit mild after the Ube, sweet but not enough pandan flavor.
/ Mango Sticky Rice: Classic mango, rich and delicious.
/ Coco Raspberry Lychee: A bit too sweet for my taste.
/ Dirty Horchata: Coffee flavor, but also a bit sweet.
/ Pastel De Nata: Creamy Portuguese custard tart flavor, slightly sweet.
š Besides ice cream, their traditional Filipino shaved ice Halo Halo - Klasik is also a must-try. Itās like a mixed dessert with ube jam, red beans, sweet corn, brown rice, sago, coconut jelly, and a scoop of ube ice cream. Iād recommend adding an extra ube scoop for more flavor.
š§” Also tried and liked:
/ Everything But The Bagel: Sweet and salty, interesting texture.
/ Kalamansi w/ Gochujang Sorbet: Korean chili flavor, kind of like spicy ice cream.
