"This modern Thai bistro has dishes like stir-fried rib eye with crispy basil, crispy lemongrass catfish, and salmon panang. Its all served in a bold red dining room that also has a bar for sipping wine or a selection of hot teas." - Janna Karel

"Gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian friendly, Arawan is known for its fresh, dynamic dishes and flavorful curries. The drunken noodles are loaded with shrimp, squid, cod, scallops, and mussels, and served on a bed of squid-ink spaghetti. Fried lemongrass catfish, tender short ribs bathed in yellow curry, and crispy duck served with a lime-chili sauce, highlight a deep menu of Thai favorites." - Ryan Slattery

Yelp
Arawan Thai Bistro was awesome! The food was super yummy, especially the Panang curry and chicken satay - seriously delicious. I tried a bunch of dishes like red curry, yellow curry, fried rice, and egg rolls, and they were all really good. The service was good, great ambiance, and they made the food pretty fast. Prices were fair, and you get a lot for what you pay. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Despite the location, abandoned/run-down plaza, this place is a must to go and eat! We ordered: crispy duck, Thai iced tea, crab fried rice, chicken panang curry, prawn pad Thai, calamari, and mixed veggies. My faves in order: 1) crab fried rice, 2) mixed veggies, and 3) prawn pad Thai. Whatever heck sauce they used for the crab fried rice was, hot damn oh so good!! The Thai iced tea was strong, which I loved. Service was great and the place was too cute. Note: I do hope they make improvements to the ladies' bathroom, though.

Yelp
The food, service, and ambiance were excellent. The interior decor was really nice, and the ambiance was great. We ordered a tofu larb, a noodle dish, and the yellow curry. The food tasted fresh and flavorful. We loved the noodle dish and the yellow curry. The tofu larb had a consistency that was a bit too much like raw tofu for our taste, but perhaps that's how it's supposed to be. The flavors were delicious, but we wished the tofu had absorbed the flavors a bit more. The food is really yummy and I would recommend this place. We actually wanted to come back here again, but didn't get a chance to.

Yelp
Service was quick and great. The place is very warm and cozy inside. The Thai style decor is very pleasing to the eyes. We went here for lunch on a weekday. The lunch menu was not extensive and I feel it's just right. I ordered the pad Thai and it was a huge serving good probably for 2. We were started with chicken noodle soup and then followed by our entree. Our drinks were refilled promptly without even asking. Then lastly there was a scoop of ice cream that was delicious. Very nice and cozy place. It may not be in the best neighborhood but if you're in the area, try to eat here for lunch and you won't get disappointed.

Yelp
Food is extremely fresh great place highly recommended The place is clean. The people are nice that Mr. piz amazing

Yelp
Had lunch with wife not busy at all on a Friday at 12 noon. Chicken Wings seemed like it came out of Costco brand (first impression) . Chicken Larb outstanding !!! Will venture out again.

Vi Y.

Yelp
So far this is the worst Thai restaurant we have been to in Las Vegas. Th photo is the red duck curry. We kept telling him it was yellow, and he insisted it was red. This is look red to you? The drunken noodles was a mushy mess. Waste of $$$ and calories!

Ana D.

Yelp
Really good food and calm peaceful ambiance with great service. :) me and my friends loved it!

Yelp
Great alternative Thai food that you should try if you're tired of eating at Lotus of Saim. Welcoming atmosphere, (but I think the door buzzer is waaaay too loud). Our server was friendly and was able to provide some great recommendations. I went for the basil rib eye (medium rare). My basil rib eye came with a side of rice which is needed for the saucy rib eye. There was plenty of basil and garlic as well which made it a great savory dish and perfect for lunch. The pad thai was also good, I've never seen this kind of preparation and it was pretty neat. The pad thai was wrapped in a lactate of egg which put the presentation on a whole different level. Taste wise it tasted extremely similar to a pad thai back home in California, by no means is this a bad thing since it was great. Though surprising since it tasted so similar. Overall great alternative to the other popular Thai places, not sure if there is usually a long wait since I went right when it opened on Saturday morning.

Yelp
Hard to find but worth the effort!. In a huge "interesting " strip mall. Inside the restaurant is clean and beautiful. Great lunch specials.

Ingrid H.

Yelp
If you're looking for an authentic thai food restaurant that's off strip, you gotta check our Arawan. First, it's a quaint and super charmingly decorated spot with a chill ambiance. We arrived toward the beginning of the lunch hour on a Thursday, so there was no wait to be seated. The servers immediately tended to our needs. Now, for the food. When you order, you will be asked what spice level you want your dish on a scale of 1-10. I boldly asked for an 8 and was hoping I wouldn't regret it even though I can handle a lot of heat. I ordered the spicy mint dish with shrimp from their lunch menu (which has many options by the way). The lunch sized portion was on the smaller side. My friends ordered the Pad See Ew from the lunch menu, Drunken Noodles, Egg Rolls, and Lemongrass Chicken Wings. All of our food came out hot and fresh, full of flavor, and completely satiating. I don't travel to Vegas frequently, but when I come back, I will plan to return to Arawan. Yum!!!

Smaly K.

Yelp
My family and I came in a large group for dinner. There was a lot of yummy sounding food on their menu, and we were all happy with everything we ordered. I got the Squid-Ink Drunken Noodles, which I have never seen on an Thai menu before, so I had to try it. I thought it was pretty good. Service was great. I wouldn't mind coming back if we visit Vegas again.

Yelp
I met with a friend recently at Arawan for lunch and it was a very good meal. I was greeted upon entry by a server and seated in the same interaction. The interior is a traditional Thai sytle, comfortable and inviting. Private yet close to other diners. Once my friend arrived we gave the short menu a scan. Since it was lunch they have a special menu. I opted for the Orange Chicken which included a soup to start, a good chicken noodle soup was that day . A few large noodles in a small clear chicken broth, light refreshing and very tasty. Then the Orange Chicken, a nice portion of tender chicken breaded and golden fried in a very traditional recipe. These were quite good, though the broccoli side was pretty much just a garner. They were undercooked, to raw and I did not even try. The lunch special as well came with a small serving of ice cream, very much tasted and had the consistency of sorbet. It was light and refreshing and a nice finish to a very nice meal. 4 Stars a solid choice for a meal, would return. 00875

Yelp
Their food is so good. It beats anything on the strip. We had chicken pad see ewww and red curry. Both were amazing. The inside isn't the nicest or most romantic, but the staff are sweet and food is solid.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Some of the best Thai food we have ever eaten! Tasty food, great prices, and prompt and friendly service!

Chris G.

Yelp
A very tasty and special treat! Highly recommend the crispy duck with the Penang curry on the side! Will come back next time I am in Vegas. Service was great and friendly.

Jay B.

Yelp
Every time we come here we either get the yellow curry with short ribs, we've seen other people eat the whole fried catfish and that looks amazing. I've had the steak that is delicious. The crème brûlée is also very good. They have the best herbal teas and every time we go their service is impeccable. This is definitely a place that's cozy and warm and very friendly. there are lots of choices in town. This is one you have to try

Lisa H.

Yelp
I ordered delivery. Everything was correct, delicious and packaged with care. Looked pretty much like the dine in photos. Definitely would get again.

Sabrina C.

Yelp
Hubby & I came here for date night & we're blown away! Wow what a hidden gem!!! So this place might not be in the best spot however but you have to go the food was amazing! It's a cute little Thai spot! Perfect for date night or with friends! We got 3 plates & we couldn't even finish it all! We got the Basil rib eye that was amazing & cooked perfectly! Duck red curry & wow, this one was definitely my favorite & I loved the portion size! Usually duck curry's are very small in portion but not here! Then lastly we got the chicken Thai bbq & that was also huge in size!!! All the food came out fast & great service! Quality food & portions highly recommended we will definitely be returning!!!

Steven O.

Yelp
I don't t always venture out for Thai food but next time I do I will definitely come back here! It's in a not to easy to find spot off Sahara and about Maryland and is surrounded by quirky little food shops representing several cuisines of the world! This place stands out in my opinion! Service was spectacular right off and all the way through! We had several really good bottles of wine and they were all reasonably priced. Everyone in our group is still Raving about the Great Food! My favorite dish was the Coconut Lemongrass Chicken! The Tuna Larb was also exceptional! Portions were large and to feed a good sized crowd we ordered and sampled just about everything! Wish I had more photos!

Yelp
Been here a few times and it never disappoints when you're craving Thai Food. Nice little quaint spot in a sketchy looking area (not too much foot traffic and hidden.) But, one of our favorite spots to dine at. Food: Idk what it's called, but it's the Pad Thai with HUGE prawns. Fried Fish Pork Ribs I can't remember all the dishes but all were delicious. The flavors are bold (especially the fish sauce.) I highly recommend this spot for Thai food.

Neeta D.

Yelp
Dined in before visiting the yacht harbor of sausalito. It's very close to the harbor, but parking is a pain. Not too many spots of 2 hour parking available, so it took us about 5 mins before we got lucky to grab a spot. Their Shrimp fresh spring roll was cool, they have shrimp, mint leaves, very thin rice noodles, all rolled in a rice sheet perfectly. The mint added to the flavor. For mains I had soft shell crab curry, and I was impressed by the amount of crab in there. I think it was a deep fried crab, and the curry was tasty, but was a touch sweeter to my liking. Overall we were happy visiting the restaurant.

Fahad H.

Yelp
Went there for dinner in our last Vegas strip and absolutely loved it ! Beautiful decorated & chill environment restaurant with Super Friendly people running it ! Ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, Spicy Green Bean Chicken and one other item (didn't remember) and everything was yummy ! Highly recommend if you're in Vegas & looking for delicious meals away from the strip chaos !!!

Kevin L.

Yelp
Charming ambiance in a very intimate setting that feels almost private. Service is attentive most times although I have had service lag at times during non-busy service hours. The food is very high end in look and taste without the high end costs. I recommend the crispy shrimp with plum sauce (a must), chicken satay, panang curry, and their pad thai. But please please please do not skip dessert. This is a hidden gem in terms of desserts. The mango paradise is my favorite. Well crafted and downright craveable

Caroline K.

Yelp
Loved the food at Arawan Thai Bistro! We had a party of 4 and were seated immediately. This spot was easy to find with plenty of parking. The vibe was casual - it looked like there were some family gatherings going on, as well as some business meetings and dates! Good to know that Arawan is a nice versatile space. We waited over an hour for food and had to flag a server down every time we needed anything. Service wasn't great, but the food was amazing! We ordered Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, Yellow Curry with shrimp, Spicy Mint Plate with Chicken, and Duck Panang, all with medium spice. If you like spice, I'd suggest getting any level upwards of medium! Everything was flavorful and balanced, with my favorite dish being the Pad See Ew, which was one of the best I've had! One thing I would stay away from would be their eggs rolls, which were just 3 egg rolls the size of my finger sliced in half. It looked like they came out of a freezer bag and were thrown hastily on the plate. In all, I'd come back, especially for their Pad See Ew!

Yelp
If you are looking for authentic Thai food, then this is the place. I've been wanting to check out this restaurant as it is highly rated here in YELP. Off we go hubby in tow! The place located in a huge commercial complex right in the same area where Lotus of Siam used to be. Lotus moved location already. The interior is decently decorated. Thai themed of course, clean and spacious. They have a separate area also quite spacious. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Agreeable as well when I ordered a dish which is, according to our server, number one dish. Friendly small chat is also appreciated provides that welcoming feeling. Food - I ordered the seafood soup in coconut cream and it immediately became my favorite. Taste was just spot-on; the tamarind and coconut cream blend just brought me to Thailand. Also ordered chicken larb, mildly spiced, had romaine lettuce on the side for wrap. This is always on our menu as this is a hubby's favorite. Crab rice - now, I've tasted better however this isn't so bad. Generous in amount but needs to show the star of the show. I hardly tasted the crab. At any rate, will definitely be back here. Show off the discovery...:)

Yelp
I read and heard great things about this place and was excited to try them. The food and presentations and taste were wonderful. My favorite was actually the squid ink pasta and their crème brûlée was perfection. Service was a bit slow. My husband got a glass of water that has lipstick print on the side of his glasses and it was not mine since I did not share it. We started ordering before another table sat down next to us but the other table who came after we did got their food first. Our server was professional and helpful otherwise. I booked my reservation via OpenTable and had credits but the staffs couldn't figure out how to redeem it so we ended up paying out of pocket which was disappointing since I saved my points for so long anticipating using them. The place is in an old shopping plaza, looks very run down and old but once you get inside the restaurant, it was beautifully decorated. Lots of red color, wall, decor, etc. The cooking show they had on tv was nice, making us hungrier while waiting for our food haha. I did suggest to them that they should open another venue in West area. I would go again if they open a new location, meanwhile they do have some improvement to do

Rashed K.

Yelp
I think most of locals in Vegas know this place very well! Visitors feel hesitant to go there just because of the location of this restaurant. Once you get inside, it is a completely different ambiance! Foods are delicious, and services are 5-stars! If you are visiting Vegas for the first time, you must go to this restaurant rather than trying buffet! You need to call them during weekend nights for your table! They have pad Thai with giant shrimp, crispy duck, duck palow, fried rice, soup, garlic fish and many more items for you to choose!

Jeb F.

Yelp
Price to portion ratio is not great in my opinion. Quality was average with less than expected flavor, just seemed like the curry wasn't as developed as it should be.

Stewart C.

Yelp
Food is Great!!! We had Tom Yum Koong, Arawan Pad Thai, Arawan papaya salad.... Service is great. We were there mid Aug. 2023 & returned this time again. Will go back again & again when ever we r in town

Emillia T.

Yelp
First time here, the restaurant located in the very run down neighborhood. Plenty of parking. Server was nice, answered all that we have. They don't rushed us. Food presentation was good, price affordable, and taste was surprisingly good as well. I would def come back again to this place.

Marc C.

Yelp
A gem among thorns. At least that's how I see this restaurant. I'm not gonna lie, I was having second doubts about the quality of food they'll have given a very unappealing facade of the restaurant. The only reason I still went in inspite of contemplating if I should is the amazing reviews. I'm glad I did. This place is a gem, with yummy food and quite okay size proportions. They can have better servers for sure but man, I still cant help but to give 5-stars due to how good the foods were. If you're within the area, give this restaurant a shot, it's no fine-dining -- but if you're into good asian food, this is a must-try place for sure.

Christina M.

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday afternoon and we were seated right away. The establishment is clean and quaint. We ordered the Pad See Ew, shrimp wonton soup, duck noodle soup, seafood basil fried rice, and fried calamari. The food was absolutely delicious! My only complaint is that our basil fried rice had some hard rice pieces in it. As far as service, it was right on point. We were given complimentary fried wontons and coconut ice cream (which was amazing). I definitely recommend coming here if you like Thai food. We will be back!!!

Glady A.

Yelp
First time here with my family and the experience was just amazing! The exterior and the location was questionable but don't let that stop you from coming! It was well worth the experience and this was truly a hidden gem! We ordered their calamari, crab fried rice, bbq chicken and rib eye with crispy basil. All of which we enjoyed. My kids enjoyed it so much that we even ordered take out (loved the crab fried rice)! The food served was plenty to share so come hungry! The service was fast and the waitress continually served us well with our needs. The interior was clean and the atmosphere was classy but cozy. Definitely will return!

Krystal B.

Yelp
*HIDDEN GEM ALERT* would have never guessed that this beautiful restaurant with delicious food AND atmosphere would be in this plaza! Ample parking and easy to see from the parking lot. Upon entering, you see an intimate, well decorated room with many tables and chairs for diners. On our night we were on of two (then three) groups dining. We were seated and given menus and water quickly! Service: Top notch when it came to clearing and giving dishes, refills by water, and by being purely friendly and gracious. They were helpful with the menu in addition to offering to take our photo while my mom struggled with the selfies haha. Food: WOW, what an extensive menu! The pricing varies from low $$ to high $$, but the quality of the food and amount of food was perfect for us! I only wish they had mango sticky rice or desserts at the end, but we ended dinner about 30min to closing so I'm sure they just wanted us out of there lol What we ordered: -Chicken satay bites (really should be need "skewers, but delicious! Chunky pieces, and comes with the traditional peanut sauce and side cucumber). -cucumber salad appetizer (a bit small of a portion, but good!) -pineapple fried rice: great portion for 4 of us so share, love the sweet and savory flavor + fat shrimp and juicy chicken -pad see ew with shrimp: good portion and delicious! Noodles soaked well in the sauce -Tom yum soup: flavor had a great kick and was served hot. So good I forgot to get a photo before devouring lol -panang with beef: panang was super good, but the beef was really bad. Not sure what cuts we got, but very rubbery/hard to chew. -Crispy Pork with Chinese Broccoli: OMG, GET THIS DISH. It was a spur of the moment decision, but the best we made that night aside from coming here for food. The broccoli was well cooked, the sauce was deliciously savory and sweet, and the pork was fried so well and worked perfectly with the sauce. Wish we ordered another one to go hahah Overall, would definitely recommend! *in all honesty, we were actually about to go to another Thai restaurant, but ended up here instead, and WHAT A GREAT SURPRISE. Can't wait to go back!

Chris S.

Yelp
Hard to find Thai restaurant. (Location in plaza) Overall service was very good and food was decent. What bothered us the most was what we saw on the counter in clear sight of every guest.

dee l.

Yelp
This is legit Thai food with huge serving. This is a must if you want real Thai food

D L.

Yelp
Authentic Thai. Prices fair. People kind. Not crowded. Just go already.you will not regret it

Christine C.

Yelp
THE BEST THAI FOOD RESTAURANT I'VE EVER BEEN TO. We ordered all our favorites: pad thai, curry, chicken satay, and tom yum seafood soup. Can we talk about the Pad Thai PRESENTATION?! SO BEAUTIFUL and delicious. My son does NOT like seafood yet he ate the seafood soup. That's how tasty it is. We ate all of our leftovers the next day. They're incredibly hospitable and wonderful workers. We cannot wait to come back, please support this small business!

Andreas S.

Yelp
I have to agree with all those that eat here before me. Very nice clean ambiance with very friendly staff. Best is the super tasty foods. Also very close to the convention center. Yummy!

Daniel W.

Yelp
Highly recommend this restaurant! Amazing food, great prices, beautifully decorated, and of course the customer service from the staff was top tier. I can't wait to go back again!

Hean Y.

Yelp
My recent visit to Arawan Thai Restaurant in Las Vegas left a lot to be desired. It was undoubtedly one of the worst Thai dining experiences my companions and I have ever encountered. We came during our lunch hour, only to be greeted by an unexpected visit from the health inspector, which disrupted the flow of service entirely. To make matters worse, the staff seemed ill-prepared to handle the situation, resulting in a lengthy wait for our food. Our supposed one-hour lunch stretched into an excruciating two-hour ordeal. The quality of the dishes we received was far from satisfactory. The crispy pork with Chinese broccoli was disappointingly dry and had an unpleasant powdery texture. The Tom Yum soup was a letdown as well, consisting primarily of mushrooms with a meager portion of shrimp, hardly justifying its name. The drunken noodles lacked the vibrant color and flavors we expected, appearing pale and lacking in taste. However, the most egregious offense was the red duck curry, which, despite its name, turned out to be a watery, yellow concoction. Despite our reservations, the waiter insisted that it was indeed red, a claim that was clearly at odds with reality. Adding insult to injury, the price we paid for this lackluster meal was outrageously high. The fact that three people dined without any beverages and encountered such horrible food, only to be presented with a bill of $90, was truly disheartening. Regrettably, I cannot recommend Arawan Thai Restaurant based on this experience. The subpar food quality, the disruption caused by the health inspector visit, and the exorbitant prices all contributed to an overall disappointing dining affair.

Mark N.

Yelp
The food is great, and the owner gets everything fresh that day. Please go try one of the best Thai restaurants in Vegas and support this small business. You won't be sorry!

Adriana M.

Yelp
My family and I loved the shrimp drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice. The only downside was the neighborhood you have to pass by.

Doreen F.

Yelp
An absolute hidden gem! Loved the ambiance, service and of course, the delicious food. We had the chicken larb, crab fried rice, crispy duck in panang, and drunken noodles with shrimp. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes. It's a little confusing when you drive into the strip mall, but it's the building in the middle and it's next to Komol Restaurant. Hope that helps!

Bianca A.

Yelp
We had a reservation at 12pm for 14 people. Completed our party at 12:15. Placed order at 12:30. Food came in so slow and one hour in, half of us finished our food and half stilll hasn't eaten yet. I know food takes time, but with how long we had waited we could've went in to another restaurant and gotten a better customer service and a faster service.

Samantha L.

Yelp
While visiting Las Vegas, we were in the mood for thai food and decided to check out Arawan Thai Bistro. I liked how the walls were painted red and decorated with authentic decor. For drinks, my party had a pot of hot Jasmine Tea, Thai Iced Tea, and Singh. For appetizers, my friends and I shared an order of Plum Shrimp, which consisted four jumbo shrimp wrapped with crispy egg noodles and served with a sweet orange plum sauce. My friends enjoyed their Panang Curry (level 5 spicy) and Drunken Noodles (level 9 spicy). I loved my Pad Thai, which consisted of thin rice noodles stir fried with with egg, green onions, bean sprouts, mushrooms, baby corn, carrot, cabbage, and fried tofu. It was beautifully presented and quite delicious. I regret not having a refrigerator at the hotel I was staying at.

Lisa H.

Yelp
We came to Arawan on Saturday night with a good friend who was visiting. We ordered: Plum shrimp: large prawns wrapped in crispy noodles served with a plum sauce: pretty good. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, but they weren't really seasoned at all. The plum sauce was the star of that dish. Scallop curry: Really good. Scallops were spot on, so tender, and amazing. They kind of got lost in the other flavors of the dish (it also might have been because it was so spicy...my husband wanted it spicier than I did, so...it lost a little appeal for me, but that's not Arawan's fault.) I will say, that spicy as it was, the flavor was still wonderful. If we order this again, I will ask for it to be not spicy, for me, so I can really enjoy and experience all of the flavors. Crab fried rice: favorite of the night, and a plentiful serving. I'd honestly come back just for this. All in all, good food. Its a little on the spendy side, but if you're in the mood for an elevated Thai dining experience, you won't be disappointed.

Kristie J.

Yelp
This is my favorite Thai food in Vegas, maybe anywhere in the US. This is not your 2am greasy Thai food, this is Thai food just like I had in Thailand with high quality ingredients, great depth of flavor and addictive. My brother who spent 5 years in Thailand agrees, this is as good as you will get. The location itself is a hidden gem in a very sketchy plaza but don't let that deter you, the inside is beautiful. My favorites are the glass noodle salad, drunken noodles with lamb, Panag curry and the stew with pork. You can't go wrong! I saw a few people saying it was expensive but it's very good quality and for that I'll never complain.

Raq D.

Yelp
Glad we found this place. It's a nice break from the busy casino places. The steak salad was excellent! Yellow curry was perfect and the satay and egg rolls were awesome. Good service will come again!
