Fantastic atmosphere, dog friendly, great booze and a friendly staff. The drinks take longer to arrive if you get a cocktail, but you shouldn't rush art. The complimentary cocktail if you're a club member was disappointing, since it was just a daiquiri. But it was a tasty daiquiri. I forgot what the drinks in the picture are, but every one we had was delicious.

We had a friend recommend this location and I am glad we stopped by. My husband and I each got two cocktails so we could explore the drinks menu. We had a great time, the cocktails we lovely and the atmosphere really fun.

Had the guava sour on tap, delicious. The hubs had the hazy ipa on tap, which he loved. And my friend had the grandma's pie-jinx cocktail, was well balanced with the creamy spiced whip on top. Sat outside on the patio on a lovely winter afternoon. The vibe was great.

This place was amazing and surpassed my expectations. The knowledge about spirits and drinks was excellent and their home distilled products were awesome. Shout out to Kyle for the education! Loved it!

A fun setting on First Street where you can sample Napa Valley Distillery spirits or a wide range of exotic mixed drinks. High end whiskeys and tequila (if you can pay the price) and bottles to go. Watching the bartenders is great entertainment.

The fries were incredible- perfectly crispy and flavorful. The drinks were just as impressive. You can really tell how much time and care the bartender puts into making each one- the quality is top-notch, and every cocktail was perfectly balanced. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing attention to detail. Can’t wait to go back!

Best cocktail bar I have ever been to! They have the best bourbon selection outside of Kentucky and bartenders that will whip you up a custom cocktail to suit your taste. Friendly staff willing to explain what they made and willing to explain what you got and why. Can't wait to come back and see Curtis again, he is the best.

I wish this bar was closer to home. The drinks are outstanding and the service is prompt and friendly. I wish I could try all the specialty cocktails. Will definitely go back when I'm in Napa.

I loved my visit to the ArBARetum at Napa Valley downtown. The interior is so beautiful and detailed with plants, It is elegant and classy. There is limited seating but thankfully when I visited it was not too crowded and I was able to find a seat for two right away. The service was great and the wait for our drinks wasn't too bad. I ordered the San Remo and the Oaxacalifonia. Both were amazing! The only con Is the price, each drink is $20, very pricy for any cocktail. However, due to the location and the details they put into crafting their cocktails I can see why but it was still a tad pricey for myself. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and come back.

Quaint corner bar in downtown Napa. I love the openness and fresh feel of the bar. Seating is limited and was packed when we arrived, however, we were able to get a seat at the bar fairly quickly. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our drinks were excellent! Cant wait to go back!

The most charming spot for a cocktail in Napa! We visited on a Saturday night and were delighted by the visually appealing cocktails that tasted even better! Despite its small size, we managed to secure seats at the bar without a reservation. We indulged in garlic fries and sampled four different drinks, all of which were excellent! The servers and bartenders collaborated seamlessly, ensuring a fantastic experience. If you've had your fill of Napa Valley wines, be sure to swing by here for a refreshing cocktail.

As next door Scalia was closed for an emergency, we wandered in here for a lovely pre-dinner cocktail. This bar is on a corner, with wonderful lighting, and a lively atmosphere. Inside seating is cozy casual with talented mixologists blending exceptional offerings. The food is tapas-like, with both warm and cold, interesting choices.

Really fun bar in downtown Napa! We originally wanted to go to Wilfred's Lounge down the street, but they had last call for drinks at 10pm, so we came here instead. We were so glad we checked it out! At 10pm on a Friday there was no wait and we were immediately able to get seated on the comfy couches. The service here is amazing. As soon as we were seated, someone came over to clean over our table and welcome us with menus. After we got our drinks, we were consistently checked on and were even reminded when the kitchen would be closing in case we wanted to order more. The ambiance inside feels upscale and trendy. It almost feels almost like a cool bar in New York City. Think dim lighting, neon decor, chandeliers, comfy couches. The drink menu here is so unique. They had a fun winter menu full of really creative drinks you wouldn't find anywhere else. There were even some savory drinks. My friend ordered one with a savory garlic agave rim, and we saw something else on the menu with beef jerky. There was even a liquid nitrogen brandy meringue on the menu, which I'd literally never even heard of before. We didn't order it, but we watched other people who did, and it looked so fun. My friend got the four for you glen coco (spiked hot chocolate) and I got the gracias mama (spiked rice milk). The drinks here aren't as sweet as you'd expect -- you could definitely still taste the alcohol in them. They also look gorgeous and the presentation is very on par with the bar's aesthetic vibes. They are pretty pricey though, with drinks averaging $20-21. Definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for a nice place to hang out and try fun drinks! They also serve some snacks/food here too.

Came here on a weekend with work friends and WOW. This place exceeded our expectations of Napa cocktails. In a town known for their wine, we were ecstatic to find a delicious cocktail bar right in the downtown area. We had a jazz show at the Blue Note that night so we spent a good 1.5 hours sitting at their high top table that was half indoors/outdoors. Lucky for us November bay area weather was a cool 70°. The bar itself is very well decorated, even if it is small. The bartenders are skilled and every drink we had was tasty. One of my favorite drinks was part of a combo drink made of matcha tea and white chocolate shavings. This place was so impressive we came back after the show. The only downside is the limited seating. They also don't allow standing inside or at the bar so it makes for a difficult time if you have a group bigger than 2-4. No reservations either. Overall definitely worth checking out if you have a small group, otherwise expect a long wait or get their early to get seating together.

I had a rather unsavory experience at Folklore around the corner, so I was even more eager to receive a good drink and service. I was not disappointed! We ordered a tres pasos al cielo and a glass of sparkling wine. The cocktail was spicy, full of flavor and came with a yummy piece of jerky on top. After my boyfriend enjoyed his jerky, he asked the server where they bought it. The server let us know and brought us a small bowl with more jerky! I've been here a few times and always enjoyed the service and drinks so I'm glad that this time was no different. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Beautiful bar in downtown Napa with excellent prices on allocated bourbon. I ordered the Valentines special cocktail Spellbound it was well balanced, unique and delicious. The service from the bartender and the staff was friendly and informative. They truly made us feel at home. We came to go wine tasting and then visit San Francisco. We husy might stay here in Napa. Don't miss out visiting this gem of a cocktail bar.

This place is amazing and so charming! The staff is so helpful with recommendations and their mixology skills are on point. Definitely try everything, it's all so unique and delicious.

The wife and I just arrived in Napa and we were looking for cocktail bars before hitting up all the wineries the next day. The drinks on previous yelp reviews looked interesting so we walked over to Arbaretum. The bar has a cool ambiance and the staff were friendly. Kyle was our bartender and explained the drinks. Here is the rundown of what we got: Tres Pasos Al Cielo: mezcal based cocktail with a lot of complex flavors including ginger, bell pepper, and beef jerky. It was like a smokey spicy citrusy cocktail. Very unique and delicious. Put Moku: wife was craving a rum cocktail and this fit the bill. Smooth, sweet, and very tiki. FYI this bar closes at 9 but I guess most of downtown Napa does. Highly recommend making a stop here!

Drove here yesterday from South San Francisco since I've heard from friends about this location. Top of class cocktail bar in a prime spot in downtown, I've visited almost every restaurant and bar here in Napa with my group and Arbaretum stands out beyond comparison. Our bartender Alexander seriously gave us an extraordinary experience, delicious old fashioned; when hospitality is a must on your checklist, this place stands out as a high point. Great hospitality all around, great drinks, and a nice Monday evening well spent.

This is a great spot to stop in for a drink. Their cocktail menu has all sorts of options and honestly all the ones I had were great. This one looks a little strange but it has fruity pebbles in it and was amazing. Prefect spot for a nice day as this is a pretty open spot. Service was fast and kind.

This bar is SO cool and fun! I love their drink selection and the bartenders are really great mixologists. I ordered the Tuxedo drink and enjoyed the smooth taste to it. I was able to appreciate the blend of flavors and with every sip, got hints of new aromatics. The decor inside really made me fall in love with it even more. Very 1920s / modern vibes. Love the glassware. You can come in to buy some liquor bottles which they brew themselves. Great place to grab a drink with friends, catch up, or a date.

The bar was really great. We did move three times but that is just to show how accommodating they were for us. We first had a table to ourselves but it was outside and it was cold and the heater was not working. They moved us to a community table but quickly let us know there was a couple of spots at the bar so we moved again having only to move our water glasses. When we finally did sit down at the bar I picked a Bushmills Old Fashion. He asked me if I wanted apple wood smoked or pear wood smoked and since I had never had pear wood as the smoking medium I opted for that. It was very well done and I enjoyed it very much. My wife was not as impressed with her Zombie Llama, wasn't quite sure if there was alocohol in it or not. After mixing the drink, it did have a slight taste of alcohol. The cheese board we bought was OK at best but we were happy with the drinks and the service here is great!

Amazing corner bar in Downtown Napa. Nelly was our bartender. Our drinks were out of this world. I had one of the best Negronis I've ever had in my life (Thank you, Nelly) The place is very cool too! Unfortunately, we missed out on their food because the kitchen was closed. I will certainly come back next time I'm in Napa!

My husband and I really wanted to love this place. First things first is the seating area is small and cramped. The conversation with the two bartenders felt forced and inconvenient. The spirits list pricing was heavily influenced by what we would describe as "feeling" rather than value. There was no greeting when walking through the door and no "fond fair-well" when we left. As two people who come from the hospitality industry we were excited to go somewhere where we thought the passion for service and experience would overwhelm us. It was cold and disconnected. The cocktails were over thought and over developed. The thought process behind the details of the venue were beautiful. The chandeliers and glassware were all appealing. The backdrop and wall decorations were fantastic, along with the beautiful glass accoutrements and bartender tools. I feel that if these details could come together and be genuinely cohesive this venue would become a destination location for both locals and visitors afar.

Absolutely obsessed with this place, the vibe, the drinks; the service. Obviously it was not cheap but the drinks were so good & the service was better. I unfortunately tried no food but had 4 drinks and every one was better than the last.

This is a cute bar with really great handcrafted cocktails. If you're into quality fun cocktails bursting with flavors I would definitely recommend this place to you. The ambiance is cool. It's not too loud and the service is reasonably quick. They do have bar bites if you come with a slight appetite or need to put something on your belly. But I'd definitely say give this place a try.

Wow! I am very impressed with Arbaretum and can't wait to come back already! I came into this location and it was busy but luckily there was one table left. We were greeted by every single person that walked by which I loved. This has to be the best customer service experience I've received in a very long time. We started off with San Remo and Tres Pasos Al Cielo. Both 10/10, the flavors of everything just go so well with each other. I feel like you can taste the passion these mixologists have for making drinks. We continued to let the mixologists pick our drinks, so up next we had the mixologist's take on the Rusty Nail and the Empresses New Groove. Both also a 10/10. I love that with each drink they explained to us the flavors we would taste. Along with the drinks, I ordered the deviled eggs with truffle on top and that was absolutely delicious. Noisy, slow service and disappointing, expensive cocktails. Ordered Last Word - didn't taste right - bartender admitted he didn't know how to make one so made something up and served it! Seriously? Craft cocktail bar?! Would not recommend.

I've been a member of NVD for about a year and haven't had the chance to visit a location since I joined, so while I was in town I swung by here for a cocktail or two before walking around the Lighted Arts Festival. I arrived around 4:45 and it was packed! I was surprised, but luckily there was a single seat at the bar that I was able to grab. I was quickly handed a menu, which still features their winter cocktails, and remembered I get a complimentary cocktail so I started with that and it was delicious. I'd get it again if it were a regular menu item. I got to watch a lot of cocktails get made in front of me but for my second drink I asked a bartender for a bespoke drink. She asked me a few questions about what I was looking for and a few minutes later I had an incredible blueberry basil cocktail with tequila. While at the bar I chatted up two ladies next to me and overall the vibe was very positive and light. The playlist was and the music wasn't too loud for normal conversation. Cocktails start at $18. I believe you can make reservations which I definitely would if you're planning in advance. You have to have a seat to get in (no standing), so you may end up waiting a while on a busy night.

Good. How good? We came back three times good. First, Tardis like dimensions inside. It should be a small space, but it opens wide and feels like another dimension. Second, service. Everyone knows WTF they're doing. Bartenders who you can really call mixologist. Service staff (Ms. Ivette Barbosa) - on point, fast, friendly, make great recommendations and just set the tone right for a relaxing time to talk with friends. Third, drinks. Tons of unique, good drinks. Anyone can throw three ingredients together and call it craft. ANYONE. These folks know how to make artful, tasty cocktails of a good breadth and depth. Being a fan of Old Fashions, I had 3 different versions over the three days, and each one was true to form, yet tastefully different. In a town of Wine, Arbaretum could easily be a gimmic with the only game in town - but they swing for the fences and easily produce both taste and experience like no other. To be honest, a top 3 in my book across the country.

At first me and husband just wanna find a place to drink in Napa, as we arrived pretty late in the evening during the week. I thought it was a little expensive for cocktails, but honestly, it was well Worth every penny! They don't skimp on the liquor, and the the bar tender are amazing! I had the pay moku and my husband had the tres pasos Al cielo. It was nice to try something different and yet still amazing even though I am not familiar with it! I would definitely recommend this bar for drinks if you want a different scenery from wine tasting!

Hubby and I decided to have a ditch day before kids are out for summer so we can spend a little time together. We took off to Napa and stumbled upon this gem. Kent and Xanthia were so welcoming. There was no rush to order and they took their time to explain to us the different drinks. Their drinks are amazing. Beautiful and delicious. The ambiance was very relaxing while the decor was really hip. The service was very personal. Will definitely come back again.

The Spring Breeze isn't a cocktail. It isn't a shooter. It's a booze filled meringue cookie that's handed to you straight from the bowl of liquid nitrogen. It's such a cool effect and it'll definitely get the attention of the rest of the bar. Be prepared though! If you have braces or sensitive teeth, it'll be a tough one to get through. But such a fun experience!

I think I've found the bar I will take all of my out of town guests to! Aesthetic - 10/10... 12/10! Seriously so trendy, LOVE the plant/greenhouse vibe. Adorable vignettes all throughout the restaurant that look like they came straight from the 1920-50s era (maybe they're from the local antique stores... that would be amazing!). Staff - 10/10 Our mixologist was so knowledgeable and was able to find the right drink fit for everyone in my group. Our order: - San Remo - WOW this drink is pretty. I mean come on, there are butterflies on it! Also, not to mention, DELICIOUS. - Tinseltown - Such a classy cup with a giant ice rock, way to make a girl feel classy (and tipsy!). - The Godfather - A classic for the gentleman of the group, well received and will be ordered again. When you're strolling throughout downtown Napa, its not all about the wine! Come check out ArBARetum and you will not regret it!

Walking in this spot is beautiful. The aesthetic is very Instagram worthy. I walked in wasn't greeted by the manger who greeted the ppl before me and everyone after me. I sat at the bar and watched the manger greet and speak to literally every table but me. The place is very small. There were two bartenders and it took them a min to service me but Kyle serviced me and made me decent drinks. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciated that. I had two drinks, smoke break and paper crane. Even while I sat there I continued to watch the manger make his rounds. Look me dead in the face and keep it moving. I wish I would of got his name. I'll never understand but I didn't like the way it made me feel so I closed my tab and went next door. That was my experience. Breakdown -They have an extensive list of curated cocktails -Small and intimate this would be a good spot for date night -Good spot for those Ig pictures. -Besides the manager bartender was friendly and had suggestions on my alcohol preferences. Went in on a Tuesday around 6. The place was busy but we found two seats at the bar. The place is kinda small but there is also a large outdoor seating area. A female bartender helped us. She was super friendly and mixed us some very exciting drinks. We would definitely stop again for an nice drink (we are bar club members so that was a plus!)

Our Uber driver suggested the Arbaretum for a place to hang out before our dinner reservation after our wine tasting on Saturday evening. She was right about the place, Its very lively , many great drink. We didn't have any expectation but we all loved the place. The bar décor is lovely, the ambiance was great for Saturday evening, the place is very small place and so it is loud however they're very efficient on using the space and that you don't feel crumped inside. If you don't like a loud bar don't come here it's very loud and fun, maybe seat outside or on the long table along the open wall where you have an option to seat from inside looking into the road on an open space you actually got fresh air on this skinny table, or you seat from the outside looking into inside the bar, your back will be on the open space by the sidewalk. I love this seating area since you got a fresh air during your visit, feel fresh all the time. I found that the way they set up this part of the table it's very easy to meet new people. During our time there we met three different groups of people coming from different part of the US while enjoying our drinks sharing our travel knowledges. The services is great and fast even though the place is packed we didn't wait for long for your orders. They have a very large menu and a lots of cocktails to choose from, this get a little tricky since everything sounds so delicious. We didn't order any food or an appetizers but we loved our cocktails and the ambiance was perfect for our mood, also the place is for all ages. Next trip to Napa! We will visit again.

My party and I were welcomed into this corner distillery with in-depth recommendations based on our taste profiles and preferences. The server's explanation of the cocktails gave us a great understanding of the drink while allowing room for a fantastic surprise in the presentation. I sipped on a Nazuchi Cocktailcomprised of Sake, Creme de Violette, Matcha- Vanilla Syrup and Lime Juice garnished with a decorative butterfly floating in the center of a layer of foam with sprinkled matcha. Overall great ambience, beautiful spot to chat and look out on First Street

I've been a Napkin since 99'. Lots of changes to my town and some really great restaurants and bars. A Winemaker friend recommended this place, so I checked it out for a legit cocktail which was excellent. Not so exciting was the personalities of all 3 bartenders who seamed more interested in the females. I've worked in the hospitality industry for years. These bartenders just had that air of "I'm hot shit". Ok cool for a tourist thing. Not my cup of tea...

This place is for the aesthetics for sure. If you're looking for a cute night out with the girls with tasty and pretty drinks, this is it. Service was good. They checked in on us multiple times for how busy it was. They also have food options, dessert, and mocktails. It's a pretty small space so it can get packed. The drinks are good and strong so definitely sit back and enjoy a few. Cheers!

We came here soon after they opened on a Saturday and sat at the bar. The decor is great and while the space is small, they make it look spacious. The food menu is limited to "bar food" with decent drink menu. I opted for the lager beer from Peru. We ordered the deviled eggs, humus and Lamajun (small taco). The food was generally good, although the devilled eggs was too spicy you couldn't taste the eggs. Service was cold, inattentive and simply unwelcoming. I couldn't wait to finish my beer and leave. First impressions from staff are telling. While the decor and food were great, I don't plan to return. There are way too many places with great food, ambiance and service.

For a crazy plant lady, this wine bar is definitely my speed! I didn't have any drinks here, but my friend ordered a Negroni while we chatted under the dim lights highlighted by neon green, greenery everywhere and rattan furniture. Think 1920's jungle vibe. I felt like this was where I was meant to chill for the rest of the night but unfortunately, we were only here to sit and talk before we had dinner.

First, we love this place! The open concept and great music was so inviting when you walk by. It was hip and cool and very clean. The ladies working today were great. They welcomed us quickly, told us all about the history of the business and even gave us tickets to their other location. When they say the cocktails are spirit forward, believe them. All the drinks we got were perfectly balanced and absolutely beautiful. The food didn't fall short. The truffle tapenade was scrumptious with the shoe string fries!!! We will definitely be back!!! Drinks were great, the bartenders service was terrible. I asked her about a drink that she was making and without description, she told me it was for club members. I have been a club member for six years and expected more and I kind of expected a conversation, yet just iced out. Two wonderfully skilled bartenders, one short hair with classes other with dark, but there service was garbage.

Amazing welcoming bar. Not only were the mixologists crazy knowledgeable, the ambiance and music set the tone so nicely. The owners were in the bar and were great hosts. We also ordered the artichoke which was phenomenal. The dipping sauce was perfectly herby and pesto-y.

Cocktails then Christmas Shopping downtown Napa! My wife, and I, loved this cocktail Bar! Great Ambiance,classic feel, big crystal chandelier, tin tiled roof, my wife enjoyed some champagne, I started with an old fashioned. Some appetizers and one more for me Called gentleman caller really good ! A Friendly happy spot' now we're ready to shop! Happy holidays'
