Arbor Venice

Had to call because I had a question before ordering my Axis 37 on the return policy. Support was SUPER friendly and helpful and made me like the company immediately. I was so excited to order my Axis 37 (on a killer sale BTW), that in my haste I mixed up the shipping and billing addresses. I end up calling back in shame to admit my blunder and see how this is going to effect shipping times, cuz I know I messed up. They remembered me and took care of everything immediately so that the board could still be shipped the next day as was originally quoted. Staff went above and beyond to help me understand the process and correct my mistakes. That experience alone is enough to make me a fan for life. Fast forward to yesterday, my board arrives on time and I love it. It's exactly what I wanted/ needed. But on top of that they threw in an Arbor hat as a little bonus in the box. This entire experience has exceeded expectations from start to finish. I will be buying Arbor again!

Sean from the warehouse sent me to the Venice shop. Brittany and Derick were absolutely amazing and were able to help me set up a Carver Surf Skate for an adult beginner. Great experience!

Very knowledgeable staff with current selections – full service support from bindings to board – same with skateboarding, all the parts and everything you need to ride. Overall great vibe – equally a great spot to stop and grab some birthday gifts in Venice Beach!

The boards are amazing, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. My first longboard was an Arbor Axis 40 and it's still riding amazing, even after prolonged (almost) daily use for more than a year. I'm from NYC but happened to be in LA and stopped by Arbor Venice because I loved the board so much -- and I was not disappointed! I would recommend Arbor to anyone looking for a skate or longboard deck, and happily recommend Arbor Venice to anyone who is interested in checking out a board. Their snowboard gear also looks great and is highly regarded, but I have not yet tried it personally.

Beautiful store with a great range of well designed, stylish skateboards and snowboards, as well as varioud accessories. Staff were super helpful and knowledgable and offered great understanding of the range, which was very helpful to me as a beginner skater.

The staff are really helpful, and the boards are amazing! Plus, the clothes are beautiful and so soft. If you are thinking of getting a new board or your first board, come here!

What can I say, I absolutely love this place. I love the company’s store, Philosophy, and the overall vibe of its people. I’ve had 3 Arbor snowboards, and I still have those 3. A little gem of a store right in the middle of Venice. Do yourself a favor, if you’re looking for a longboard, skateboard, or a snowboard, pop your head in. You’ll be glad you did!

I come in to get my board waxed here all the time, and the guys are always so nice and helpful. I don't even ride an Arbor just yet, but I know my next ride will be an Arbor. Love the store layout, and easy store parking in the back makes popping in real easy for a quick shop or pickup/drop off.

Arbor had some of the best customer service I have ever received, I just got my first real skateboard there, and Carla made it a really enjoyable and knowledgeable experience! They also had a great selection of essentially everything you would need to get a good start, or just get a new skateboard in general imo. Really appreciated the attention and value, thanks Carla!! If I'm ever back in LA and want some spare parts or replacements I'll definitely stop by.

Hi I came into the store today while walking around Venice Beach when my husband was so excited to check it out. Apparently he follows them on Instagram. Being the wonderful wife that I am, I figured we should go in. Little did I know that I would be walking out with a skateboard. Wade really helped me out with which one to get. He's very knowledgeable and allowed me to try some of the long boards, the shorter skateboards with the tail, and just overall helped me with getting what I wanted. Thank you so much! Dope lil shop in Venice! Went to grab my first snowboard ... they were a little limited in stock but a young dude with long hair helped me out and convinced me to get a 166 instead of a 161 and it has worked out great so far!!

This store is amazing. Not only does arbor make some of the best snowboards and skateboards but the store was really neat. First, they have everything. Second, the customer service was incredible. Karla was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Will be back. Highly recommend. Karla, thank you 10/10

Staff was awesome!! They kept their space pretty open. And it's such a beautiful shop to visit and view their aesthetic. Everyone was wearing masks and being respectful if we wanted boots tightened by ourselves or for them to help. They answered all our noob questions about snowboarding, how to fit, what it's supposed to feel like, what board is good for us. Etc.

Review is for clothing & COVID spreading only. I like their boards, but never checked their store till today. Pros: Homegrown. High-quality. Originals and some familiar classic brands. Con: While I was in the dressing room, the entire staff decided to take off their masks. What the hell? The employee behind the register stared at me blankly while I waited for the mask to return. I finally had to ask. Another employee scoffed at me over it. Aaaand that's my last time there. The good news is that Rip City sells Arbor boards (plus other brands to compare), and they keep their masks up when they're selling me things.

Honestly a dope spot! I bought two shirts and I live in those things. Really nice people who work there especially that little blonde girl buildin skateboards and what not. She hooked me up with some gear recommendations and the wheels I got a smoother than mommas sweet tea.

Called in for a size in for a snowboard but it wasn't in stock - I definitely enjoyed the helpful staff; they were able to take my info down to call in for the next shipment. Eager to look for an Arbor Ethos, I rolled down to Buena Park's Identity Board Shop & found it. Stoked to finish my set-up.. I visited Arbor Venice the following day to scope out boots & bindings. This shop is beautiful! My boyfriend & I loved their their natural wooden aesthetic and curation of clothing & gear all in one place. Good tunes & vibe in this spot too, ample parking for customers in the back. Grabbed the Sequoia Bindings which I love. Asked for my size in a pair of new ThirtyTwos but the particular boot I wanted in my size wasn't available. Guy behind the desk told me to try on another pair they had. Asked how much they were and he said "They're yours - Merry Christmas" Like whaaat? I was so shocked coming out of there. Boots are def not cheap. Super kind & friendly staff. Thank you Arbor Venice for the tight experience. Shoutout to Dave/ David & co. for helping us out.

10% discount with Yelp check-in Covid19 My daughter and I went here on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. We spoke with Lauren (sp?) over the phone who was very helpful. When we arrived, however, she wasn't there. David helped us. We came here to pick up a new snowboard for my daughter. We bought youth 140cm. David put the binding on while we went to grab lunch. He was very personable. My daughter was able to try on a hoodie before purchasing it.

First time snowboarding, Chris approached me right away and took care of me from start to finish. Demonstrated how to use literally all my new gear. Super knowledgeable and accommodating, couldn't have had a better shopping experience. Don't think twice, come here to Arbor. Love you man.

I pass this place all the time but I never go in but I guess today was the day!! Once we went in we were greeted by a friendly face that guessed our puppies breed upon sight - most people think she's a pit/boxer or pit/Great Dane she's actually a Dogo Argentino. Anyway that's besides the point but that's a star earned! We were looking for a skateboard to have our pup pull us around town bc we found that it is the most effective way for her to get exercise and wear her not so little puppy self out! The man who was helping us was very attentive and listened to what we needed and was able to identify what kind of board would be suitable for us. Now on to the board itself - we ended up purchasing a longboard complete (which is the deck, wheels and the trucks). The board is actually really beautiful to look at...exquisite craftsmanship. The ride is so smooth. If you're looking to just cruise around town it's an ideal board. We spent about $200 which included the board and a tool which allows you to adjust and take off the bearings and so forth. So far we really love the board and and our puppy does too. There is 30 minute customer parking in the back of the store which you can access through the alley. The store itself is beautiful - the artwork on the boards, the shoes, the Pendleton blankets, the furniture...whoever is the buyer and does the interior design there has really good taste.

OMG DROOL DROOL DROOL!!! I saw so much stuff that I really loved! From kicks to sticks this place has some RAD stuff!!! I saw some skateboards, snowboards, watches, flannels, shoes and snowboard boots that I'd really love to have! Their bench in the shoe area made of a tree in a live edge manner is so cool... pretty much everything in this store is bad ass! And the people who work here are very nice! I'll have to go back next time when I drive down to LA!!!

My son had a board for almost a year before realizing it was warped. I reached out to Arbor and they very quickly and kindly offered to send a replacement board, that easy. Could not ask for better customer service. Their boards are very nice and extremely reasonably priced! Highly recommend!!!

I can't begin to explain how great this location is! And what makes all companies great starts with the management and staff he or she hires. The store manager In Venice , Chris, is hands down one of the best I've come across! He went above and beyond to help my wife get me fitted with perfect board package and outfitted our family of four for our upcoming Vail trip! He even invited me to meet him on the trails in Mammoth Mountain but I told him he'd run circles around this old guy haha! When you're starting a new sport, you want someone who is willing to take the time to walk you through the basics of gear and get you started off right. More than that, you want someone who will be patient with you. When you're 54 and getting on your first skateboard, you want them to be *really* patient. Thankfully, that's exactly what I found when I walked into Arbor and spoke with Norris. Like many people, I've driven past this shop a million times, but never went in. I could not be happier that I chose Arbor as the first and only skate shop I visited to get started. Norris was not only friendly, professional, and super helpful; he took the time to ask questions, learn about my interest and experience, and talk me through options that might work for me. I walked out with a beautiful longboard, and I couldn't be happier. In a world where we go to Amazon for cheap everything and expect it to be here the next day and perfect (good luck), supporting a local business who has your best interest in mind is the only way to go. (If we don't support local businesses, they'll go away.) Especially with something like skateboarding... you want to talk with someone who loves the sport and has been in the same place you are as a beginner. Sure, Arbor is a national brand, but you are treated like a member of the neighborhood when you walk into this shop. Thank you, Norris, for getting me started right and making this the best possible experience.

I had to replace my board and immediately fell in love with one when I walked in the door. Chris is really passionate and he actually custom built it. He took so much time with me walking through the types of boards and which one would work best for me. I ended up getting the custom built one I loved and he adjusted it for me. Highly recommend and I'm coming back when they come up with more designs!

Love this place. Great selection of boards and apparel. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are competitive and the eco friendly mission authentic. This is my go-to store for beachwear in particular. It's just the type of small business which only thrives with local support, so head on over.

Had an incredible experience buying my first ever snowboard and gear for it tonight. I stopped by after work and Daniel ran over to greet me... and in under an hour we had literally everything I could need for any future snowboarding trip! Was super happy with Arbor and I would highly recommend!!! Daniel was awesome.

My husband realized that his ski pants did not fit and he is going on a ski trip in 2 days! He called Arbor and spoke to Chris and got questions answered quickly. He said to come on in and he would take care of my husband. My husband ended up purchasing 2 ski bibs, one being a present for his son. Lauryn and Chris also helped him with adjustments on his gear. Arbor offers great, personalized customer service, He recommends Arbor highly to anyone who is a skier, snowboarder or skateboarder.

I have to give it up to Arbor for having one of the dopest shops in Venice. I went there over the weekend to look at the new 2021 snowboard lineup after seeing their post on Instagram (btw go follow them for sick content). I went in the store to be slightly disappointed they didn't have the Westmark Frank April edition in yet, HOWEVER, left the store happier than ever thanks to the great staff. Huge shout out to Norris and Josh, definitely going to be coming back cause of these guys. If you're looking for some wise snowboard wisdom, chat with Norris, it was a great time. I ended up leaving there with a really rad Westmark 2020 and even picked up a longboard Sizzler with a graphic from Zoe Keller, it looks amazing. Definitely going to be back and you won't regret walking in.

Chris helped find the right snowboard, the verbiage and knowledge made it easy to relate. If I visited arbor in Venice I would have actually saved more time and money. The process was not rushed like other snowboard shops.

The staff at Arbor Venice were super welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable about the gear we picked up there today. We appreciated Norris' help in picking out a snowboard and ended up leaving with a Bryan Iguchi board that we're super excited to try out next season. There are some pretty sweet sales going on and we picked up some apparel and backpacks and are all set up. The environment at Arbor was great, the staff all chatted about their experience, and happily checked in about a board I bought there not too long ago. We felt super comfortable checking things out, they were all equipped with masks, and seemed to be handling the covid circumstances well. Our dog Woody was welcome in which made our experience even better! Will definitely come back and are excited about our boards + goodies!

This is a few months late but better late than never. I couldn't recommend Arbor more. I went to Arbor to buy my husband a long board for Christmas. I had no idea what to get him or how to shop for him when it came to boards but the guys there were just awesome. They asked several questions about my husband to get to know him a bit before pointing me toward the right board. The owner really took him time helping me and talked me through what some people would find most important. Not only is the board we selected for him beautiful but he LOVES it!! He's a long board surfer and he said it feels like surfing on this board and it goes really fast. Three moths later and he still rides his board almost every day. I also love that this is a locally owned business and am so happy to support one as great as this. They have the ethic to back the product and you just can't go wrong.

This review is for any first time skateboard buyers. After mentally motivating myself to enter a space that is completely out of my wheelhouse, I had an overwhelmingly positive experience. David was incredibly helpful and supportive and made me feel so comfortable asking questions and trying out the different boards. It was hands down the best customer service I have experienced in years. If you are in the position I was in a little over a week ago and are reading Yelp reviews trying to psyche yourself up to go in, trust me when I say that you can depend upon amazing and welcoming customer service. Also the boards themselves are beautiful and 100% worth every penny they cost. I have coerced a couple of friends to also learn to skate and after trying my board out they are also considering purchasing theirs from here.

I went to four different skate shops in Venice Beach and nobody could help me find the board I was looking for. I walked into Arbor and was immediately greeted by one of the employees, Lauryn, and giving a 15 minute tutorial on the different types of skateboards and the different kinds of riding they could accommodate. The experience at Arbor was professional and quick and I didn't feel rushed to make a sale highly recommend if you're looking for a skateboard or snowboard or just looking to get some cool clothes. Super happy.

Bought a shirt marked as medium, fit like an extra small. Not too big a deal, but went back a few weeks later to return it and caught all sorts of attitude from the two people working. Walking into the store I asked politely if I could return it and was met with blank stares. The girl working behind the counter didn't say a word, lights on nobody home I guess. Finally the other person working spoke up and we got the evidently odd request of returning an item going. The person doing the return found it necessary to remind me I only had one more day and the item wouldn't have been refundable as if he was mad I made it in and was able to return it. Very unfriendly staff, both need to be reminded their customers are what keep them in business, most definitely won't be going back here.

I've loved the brand for years but had yet to visit the flagship store, decided to go there to get my son a snowboard this last weekend. We met up with Chris, the manager there, and he was super knowledgable (and patient) about explaining each product my son picked out. Good guy, great place, awesome products. Hit it right now (summer) while the sale is going on for snow gear, good deals.

This place has such a great vibe, relaxed and inviting and best of all, every human that works here is super nice, patient, and tries to help match each customer with the equipment that best suits them. My kid created his first ever customized board with the help of this nice fella, and I'm not gonna lie- it was kinda emotional for this Valley dad. So clear we will maintain our relationship with the store and its employees when it comes to maintaining this skateboard and future ones!

Just had an incredible experience at this skateboard shop. After calling several shops around town and speaking with some rather rude store owners...Lauren and Norris at Arbor Venice were more than welcoming. I had a very tricky skateboard set up I needed assembled and although it took awhile to figure it out, they were patient, super kind, and did it for free!..just for buying bearings and some hardware from them. I will definitely be coming back here, maybe buying one of their many stunning boards and will be recommending this spot to my friends.

Arbor is great one stop shop. They're always stocked with the best socks & over 100 pairs of Vans, with new pairs coming at you weekly. The staff is super knowledge. Jason is well informed in the snowboard department & Chris/Daniel are your local skate gurus.

Located off Washington across the pier. Lots of shops nearby. Few weeks ago I stopped by the shop, looked for snowboards, asked around, picked one up. Took it home, looked up the reviews online. Decided it wasn't for me. Brought it back untouched and still shrink wrapped -- But was told there's no refunds. Register had a sticker. Wrote a review complaining about it and they actually changed the policy. Woah, that was awesome. Haven't really seen such responsiveness before. So yeah. Thanks!

I got my first longboard from here last week. The customer service was so amazing. I'm so happy we came to this place. Arbor is known for having sustainable practices and that is what made me want to try their boards. Once we walked in I knew that I made the right choice.

We have been on the lookout for snowboards this season and were drawn to Arbor, with the sleek designs and unique appeal. Daniel and Chris walked us through the process from start to finish and set aside our boards, bindings, and boots. When we came in, everything was ready to go! We tried on all of our gear and everything was perfect. The customer service was unmatched and we have nothing but good things to say about this company and the employees. If you are looking for a stellar board and a friendly environment then this is where you need to shop.

When I saw the new DropCruiser Flagship I had to have it! The fact I waited 4 months for this board (during dreamy COVID-empty streets) says volumes about my loyalty to Arbor design, materials, product line, and corporate philosophy (and the fact this is my first "Yelp" says a lot too!) But the real bonus was the AMAZING customer service (and tolerance) I received when calling every shop several times a week! From Daniel, Chris, Teak, Lauren, and Corey at Venice; Tyler and Trevor in SanDiego; and Jorge and Dom in Tahoe, I've never encountered such consistently friendly, passionate, professional, knowledgeable, helpful patient staff! 4 months of calls and not a single bad moment - as a matter of fact, they seemed to "feel my pain" of being boardless. I spent the most time badgering Chris & Daniel so a special shout-out to them. Chris, I'm digging my Arbor swag too! Thank you! So, I "lived" on my skateboard for 5-6 years during "Dogtown and Z-Boys" days (my first board was a Sims deck, Trucker trucks, on Kryptonics wheels). I turned 60 while waiting for the Arbor DropCruiser I unpacked today like a kid at Christmas . . . I'm just back from my maiden voyage of some carving and cruising that felt like BUTTER! Thank you Team Arbor!

Love the staff, Norse was really cool and helped me find exactly what I need. The shop is cool and everyone in there was wearing masks. Loved going to this shop and 100% will be back! I've always shopped arbor snowboards online but I'm so glad I finally went to the actual shop and bought my snowboard there. The shop itself is so cool and it's nice to see all the arbor boards and skateboards on display. But it's the staff that really makes going to the shop worth it.
