This is a very heavy spot for the Hotel and McCormick. The service is ridiculously quick. We had eaten here three nights and one lunch with it packed wall to wall and food came out at super speed. They must have a massive crew in the back. The staff is also very friendly. Out of all the food choices we had, I'd suggest the fig and prosciutto flatbread, and the butternut squash mac and cheese.

Rebecca T.

Google
As far as hotel restaurant food goes this was very solid. The bartender was also incredibly nice and efficient. I really enjoyed my sandwich. The Mac and cheese was okay, but I probably would try a different side next time. I appreciated that it was open when I wanted to grab a later dinner without leaving the hotel.

One of the restaurants in the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago. It was the only full service restaurant that was open for lunch and dinner. The head chef/food runner was a lovely gentleman who gave us tips on what to order. The best dishes were the Asian salmon rice bowl, Chicago hotdog, garlic truffle fries and the deserts. The crispy chicken sandwich was over fried…or fried twice (6 hours before l ordered it, then again 10 minutes before l ordered it). I should’ve ordered the regular burger instead of the gourmet one, as the burger was not as good as the regular burger. My iced tea was mixed with Pepsi or Coke, for some reason. When you’ve had a busy day attending a conference, and sight seeing, and you come back to the hotel hungry and exhausted, Arc Bar is not a bad choice. Just choose wisely.

I was in town working at the convention center and staying at the Hyatt. I was very glad the Hyatt had any food options at all. This area of the city is sadly, a food dessert. Nothing is close and options are pretty limited. It’s especially difficult if you don’t have a vehicle of any kind either. Luckily, ARC Bar is serving up solid bar food with a decent variety. Service at the bar was excellent too. It’s easily a step up from your typical hotel lobby bar and that’s great for travelers like me!

Google
If you don't want to venture out of the hotel, this is the place to be at night. Great food options - try the red hot, for sure! Pleasant staff, good beer on tap, and extremely convenient placement were all highly welcomed. Oh and don't miss the sausage, cheese & pretzel board!

As someone who loved their time in the Mediterranean the next time I’m craving a good pita I am coming here. The pita is so fluffy and warm, balanced with the crispness of the greens, the fresh/bold flavor of the taziki, and the tenderness of the chicken it makes for a beautiful plate but an even better bite. (Tomato’s not feature due to personal preference) The staff are personable and helpful. I love it here!

Kyle W.

Google
I want to give a special shoutout to Darryl who served me on two occasions at Arc Bar. He has a strong work ethic. Prides himself on providing a high level of customer service. And is without a doubt the kindest, most personable member of the staff at Hyatt McCormick. I thoroughly enjoyed his company and hope that he is soon rewarded for his excellence. Hold on to people like Darryl!!

Google
Overall an above average experience with an assortment of bar food. The lemon drop martini was my wife’s go to. Mine was an average selection of bourbon but they did have large cubes. The pulled chicken nachos was plate full. The bruschetta was so so.

Yelp
I enjoyed the food at Arc Bar. I tried a few different things, mostly cocktails and late night bites. Food - "Da Burger" was absolutely delicious and probably my favorite thing I had there! I got it with cucumber & tomato salad instead of fries and a Gimlet cocktail. The salad barely had any tomato. My guess is that was the end of what they had since it was late and they gave me fries also anyway. Loved the Gimlet! I enjoyed all of it. Another day we had wings and truffle fries and Pear Pressure cocktail. I'm more of a dry rub girl so I got buffalo sauce on the side. Wings were okay. I wish the meat was seasoned. The seasoning is basically all in the sauce. Truffle fries were delicious. Service: I dined in one day and did takeout the next night. Well, I ordered to go, but sat on the patio. Great service both times. Waitress made food recommendations and the bartender knows what he's doing. Atmosphere - Good vibe. I love the patio area with the fire pits.

Yelp
For a conference bar, the food was a little expensive but overall was good quality. Docked it off a star as the prices were pricey and didn't quality feel worth it. But you gotta eat.
google avatar

Jen S.

Yelp
For a conference center hotel bar, this is a really great place. Sure prices are a little high but the food and drinks are good and the service is beyond amazing. I have to shout out Shaniqua (apologies if I misspelled her name). I was at McCormick for a conference that lasted a week. I came in on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday. She was my server on Saturday then on Wednesday again. She remembered my drink order! For conferences there are literally thousands of people she sees. She remembered my friend's order too. Food is better than most conference bars. In my 3 trips I ordered truffle fries, the fried chicken sandwich and the turkey club. The turkey club was actually my favorite. Thankfully I'll be back to McCormick soon for another meeting so I'll be back at Arc!

Yelp
I stopped at this bar prior to an event. It was a quick stop. This bar is attached to McCormick Place. I loved how trendy and modern the decor and indoor/ outdoor areas were. The fire pit gave it an extra flare as an additional area to chat with your guests. I got the hotdog and fries. The hotdog was very good and so were the fries. The server was very friendly and answered all questions I had. This was my second time stopping there and both times were pleasant experiences.

Yelp
Im in town for a Conference and the Bar is here at the host hotel. I came for lunch during our break in sessions and it was super busy. My order was taken at the bar to go. I loved that they had special drinks and food specials for our Conference. I ordered the flatbread special. It was so good. It was hot and fresh and filling. I also came later in the evening for a drink. I was nervous about the price being it was a hotel bar but the price was not inflated and I loved that.

Yelp
I was staying in Chicago for a conference and ended up at Arc b/c it was in the hotel where I was staying. I started at the bar and got a Bourbon on the rocks. It was a big pour, and the bartender was super polite. I later changed to a table and joined some colleagues who asked me to join. We started with a slew of appetizers including the wings, dip trio w/ tortilla chips, and nachos. All were good. For my main, I got the salmon, which was good but on the smaller side compared to everything else I saw come out. A colleague got the Flat Iron Steak, which looked phenomenal. Another got the Italian Beef Sandwich, which she only ate half of... but maybe she was just full. It did look a little dry, but I secretly wanted a bite. I'd definitely recommend this place if you are at McCormick Place for a conference. There aren't many restaurants around this area, and this one is good enough.

Yelp
Best parm truffle fries I've ever had!! I have a work mtg every year at the Hyatt McCormick and it's been an 8 year tradition that I always have my annual wings and truffle parm fries. Chicken wings are average, but the fries are skinny fries - always crispy, showered with parm and truffle oil. Service is always quick and friendly and helpful. Arc is located on the bottom floor of the Hyatt and it's open late which is also super convenient, especially on super cold days. It's also very spacious with lots of tables for people to meet up. Love this.

Yelp
Better than expected for hotel lobby bar food. Server was nice, food came out pretty quick too.
google avatar

Yelp
These folks go above and beyond standard Hotel Bar Drinks and food. We have become accustomed to the jejune offerings reminiscent of an old Jimmy Buffett song, "Warm Beer and Bread reminds me of the menu at a Holiday Inn". Not the case at Arc! The food here is quite good. The drinks are excellent and the service is next level. Well played folks. You make the McCormick Center special.
google avatar

Yelp
The outdoor seating was lovely. I requested a sample of the chocolate chip bread pudding, and I'm glad I did-- it turned out to be dry and crunchy, not what I expected. On the other hand, the salmon rice bowl came highly recommended and did not disappoint. It was a perfect portion, delicious, and had a satisfying crunch. Our waitress offered great suggestions and was very attentive throughout the meal.

Yelp
Service and speed was excellent, but food just so-so. Had a club sandwich and the bread was hard around the edges; everything else was great (turkey, avo, bacon etc) but bad bread ruins the entire thing.

Yelp
We stayed at the Hyatt for C2E2 2024. Although I had in and out parking privileges, me and The Queen did not want to go out to eat per se. Food was ok, nothing to write home about, but not bad. I had the lemon ricotta pasta (pappardelle pasta, ricotta cheese, leeks, asparagus tips, spring peas, heirloom cherry tomatoes, basil, white wine sauce). There wasn't much flavor to the dish, although there was a lemon there. I had to ask for extra lemon slices to spice it up. Fortunately I had my Tajin on my (I put that stuff on everything) and with the extra lemon juice and salt/pepper, it was ok. I will say that the sauce was nice and creamy, it just needed more flavor. The Queen got the Chimichurri flat iron steak (herb butter basted flat iron, crispy yukon gold potatoes, chimichurri, lemon-garlic parmesan asparagus, herb butter). She said that the steak was pretty good,, but could have used a little more flavor. Service was slow. I know that there a big convention going on, so I would have expected the hotel to be aware of that and provide adequate staffing....nope. That said, the ladies who did wait on us were kind and apologetic, but they did their best to hit all of the tables they had to serve.
google avatar

Rollin C.

Yelp
We were leaving a trade show at McCormick and decided not to wait in the Uber line with 10,000 other people so we found a table next door at the Arc. Beautiful day so we sat outside which was perfect! They were swamped with all of the other people leaving the convention but our server was very nice and doing her best to keep up - as was the kitchen. Drinks were meh, truffle fries delicious and so was the Chicago dog!!

Yelp
Overall Food Service We visited Arc Bar this past weekend while staying at the Hyatt Regency for a 3-day volleyball tournament at McCormick Place. After a long day, our group of 4 adults and 7 boys (ages 15-16) decided to dine here for dinner. While the food was tasty, the service was a completely different story. The Good: The food was undeniably delicious. It came out quickly, and everyone in our group was satisfied. However, the next day, my son informed me there was a hair in his fries--definitely something the kitchen should keep an eye on. That said, the food quality itself earned a solid 4 stars. The Bad: The service, however, was abysmal and deserves 1 star at best. We were seated at two separate tables--one for the adults and one for the boys. When we informed our server about which kids belonged to which adults for billing purposes, she refused to add them to our bill, claiming they were seated in a different revenue section with a different server. We then asked if their bill could be split, and she begrudgingly informed us it could only be split four ways. Meanwhile, the boys' server told them it could only be split three ways because "she was busy"--despite the fact that I'd just seen her hand four separate checks to another table without issue. When it came time to pay, our server tossed a single bill on our table and told us to "take our time." When we asked to split the bill four ways, she did so but with a noticeable attitude. For the boys' table, it was a circus. The group of teenagers tried their best to figure out how to split a $200+ bill but were understandably confused. We stepped in to help, only to have their server rush over to our table in an irritated manner, saying two of the boys were "ready to pay." She charged them immediately for their meals, including automatic gratuity and taxes, without giving us a moment to sort everything out. The lack of patience from both servers and their unpleasant attitudes soured the entire experience. Perhaps the chaos of a busy evening and a large group of kids played a role, but as professionals in a hotel restaurant connected to a major convention center, they should be better equipped to handle situations like this with grace. While the food was good, the poor service made it an unpleasant dining experience. The convenience of Arc Bar's location wasn't enough to make us return during the rest of our stay. If management could improve the staff's approach to customer service, this spot could be a gem. As it stands, we won't be back.

Yelp
Rating: 2.5/5 Had just arrived from the airport and needed food. Ate at ARC BAR and regretted it. The food was disappointing. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Nachos and the shredded cheese they put on it wasn't even melted. It was just shredded cheese on tortilla chips with meat. RUN!!! Don't waste your time or money ordering from them!!! Word of advice: Go to the MARKET TO-GO instead!
google avatar

Diamond H.

Yelp
Liz the bartender is so sweet! The food is not so good. Their Italian beef is nasty no flavor just peppers and the bread is cut on both sides so all the meat falls out. It looks like everyone favors the burgers. $44 for two Italian beef meals and they only take cash for exact change. they add an 18% service charge for "large parties" even though it was two of us. I guess this is a thing for NYE. It's located in the hotel as the only thing for actual food and drinks they need more options.
google avatar

Kyle S.

Yelp
One of my colleagues told me I had to eat here because it has the best chicken sandwich and I will admit that the Crispy Chicken Cutlet sandwich was very good! Service was quick and helpful. Most of the beers listed were on tap. Easy entry and exit. Not bad at all!
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
Ate here daily for a trade show they offered very nice eats at good prices and the staff is super friendly! Thanks Rudolfo for excellent service behind the bar! Great display of food and food portions!

Yelp
This bar gets going during conference days NGL. Packed house at the bar but that doesn't stop them from slinging Lagunitas to thirsty conference goers like me. We rolled up here and asked them to put Big Ten Network on, which they obliged. Took about 5-10 minutes though so maybe build in some time if your game is starting. Good bar set up, good TVs. Backs on the barseats. All pluses. The Italian Beef Sandwich and Wings were both surprisingly good for a hotel bar. Burger was fine but not memorable.
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
I have been here several times for volleyball tournaments at McCormick Center. You're going to pay downtown Chicago hotel restaurant pricing, but at least the food and drinks are good. Burgers hover around $20, if that gives you a good barometer. In nicer weather there is outside seating with firepits, which makes it nice. One time my wife and i sat out there and they were nice enough to give us plastic cups so we could stay out there after they closed. The staff is friendly and the food is good...burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, pretzels, and really good looking martinis and bloodys. Nice bar with some TVs for sports. Good music...today they were playing 90's alternative...but not blasting it. Very convenient if you don't feel like walking to the nearby restaurants.

Yelp
While attending a large show at the convention center I had to escape McCormick Place to get lunch. Convention center food is horrible, and the lines there were even worse, so I came here a few days for lunch. This bar and restaurant at the Hyatt Regency is connected to McCormick Place so it's not that long of a walk over.   I could immediately tell I wasn't the only attendee who had this idea as it was always packed. Lucky I eat solo as I was able to score a seat at the bar area. All the tables surrounding the bar were always taken. You will definitely know you're at a convention or trade show bar with so many wearing badges at lunch or after 5pm at the bar. The decor and design is hotel convention center modern. The food was pretty much standard and pricey as expected. Good thing my bill was being expensed. Service at the bar was good and friendly. Salad topped with a piece of salmon was a healthier choice. Nothing mind-blowing here, but it's a lot better than eating convention center slop.

Evan F.

Yelp
Service was slow, inattentive, and unhelpful. The staff mishandled the payment process. The staff incorrectly split the bill, and then took 30 minutes to determine that they couldn't fix their own mistake. They left everyone at the table with no option for reimbursable itemized receipts.
google avatar

Johnny Y.

Yelp
We were seated at 4pm. Majority of other spots at the hotel has closed down. Great open spot for gatherings for a few drinks and some food if you're feeling for a meal. I'm not sure if their prep station was 100% set and ready but that burger and gyro came out so fast... It almost felt like magic! Granted we were the first customers..but still !? Burger came out juicy, hot, fries was crispy and truffled up! No complaints. They Gyro was nice and soft and the lambs felt like they were freshly cut! Service was fast and food is good. Can't really complain. Selection was a little scarce but if you don't feel like ordering to the hotel. This would be a good alternative!

Jerod D.

Yelp
I went with a friend after C2E2. It was a fun mixed crowd. They have giant mugs of beer here! Nachos were excellent and wings were tasty.
google avatar

Delmar A.

Yelp
This restaurant is located within the Hyatt Regency hotel at the McCormick convention Center. Good for a quick bite after a long day of conference and walking in the convention hall. Had the sweet potato burger it was OK. Wine list is acceptable. This is a good option if you're at the convention center, and you're tired after a long day and you don't want to go to downtown Chicago.
google avatar

Phil D.

Yelp
Water drinks anyone? Little disappointed after ordering a margarita and receiving (gasp) a PINT GLASS of what I can only describe as a LEMONADE. Simple question, what bartender worth their salt would pour a 16 ounce cocktail? Follow up question, will I be back for another cocktail order? If you follow my reviews the answer is quite clear. Avoid.
google avatar

Arlene E.

Yelp
Came while staying at the hotel Hyatt Regency McCormick place. Only able to enjoy for a small Time because they were closed on Sunday. The food was good and the drinks were good, nothing to go crazy for but everything was good. Only reason they get 4 stars is because I don't understand why they closed on Sunday. The restaurant near them was closed early due to slow business, which I get for them but for the bar, there was guests coming down not just us wanting to grab a drink or bite to eat especially after we are leaving the Star Trek convention. It's unfortunate they had to be closed during a Sunday on a busy weekend.

Yelp
I'm staying at the Hyatt for the weak while putting in very long days for a client at a convention at McCormick Place. At the end of the day, all I want is really good food , a really good drink and a really good vibe at the bar. I found all of that at Arc Bar here at the Hyatt. When you walk in, you definitely feel like you're at a convention or trade show bar. Half of the customers still have their badges on. The crowd is lively and engaged, the music is warm and sports are on TV. And the prices are high. The decor has fairly standard, upscale, modestly hodern hotel design. The menu is the same, fairly standard fare but with a few highlights and a few unique tweaks to traditional items. The bartenders, however, are a cut above the rest. Even late in the evening, after 11 p.m. , Gabriel, in particular, provided the warmest, most professional, most caring bartender customer service I've received in a very long time. He remembered all of his guests' names, he was engaging and interested. Gabriel quickly provided me a slightly above larger pour of rye on the rocks. The second night I came by, the other bartender was a little shorter on the pour and took a little bit longer. For my first visit, my side salad, even at 11:30 at night, was freshly prepared and crisp. My hamburger, at Gabriel's recommendation, was excellent. It was cooked to order, fresh and filling. I had bread pudding for dessert and while it was good it was just average. On my second , also late in the evening, my meal was still good, a chicken sandwich, but not as memorable as the burger. The salad was, again nice and fresh. Staff are plentiful and attentive. Tables and the bar always are clean.
google avatar

Christopher B.

Yelp
$$$ - I know hotel food can be on the pricey side, but nearing $30 for a small Caesar salad with a little chicken and an iced tea is absurd. Friendly service might help a bit, but I didn't get that either. Step outside and walk 2 minutes to many other better options.

Candice A.

Yelp
I ate here three times in a week. The waitstaff were extremely friendly. The location is convenient to the conference center with a nice outside patio. The kale and farro salad (without added protein) was EXCELLENT! The individuals clearing the table (not waitstaff) seem to swoop in and clear things as soon as they think you are done-even when there is no one waiting and you still have some liquid in your drink. It feels very rushed (and are they watch people eat?). But the issue really was the grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken was strange and rubbery in texture. It was like eating a rubber ball. My colleague had gotten the crispy chicken sandwich and also could not eat it (texture made him feel ill). The sandwiches were drenched in sauce too-(maybe trying to make-up for the odd "chicken")..So...very hit and miss depending on what you order.

Yelp
We stayed at the McCormick Hyatt for the JDRF gala a few weeks ago and stopped in for lunch after we set up our section. I read the reviews before hand and will agree with others about the unusually slow service. It was painfully slow. That's why only three stars. It wasn't busy at all, so there was no reason for that. As for the food, it was pretty good. Started with the Sriracha deviled eggs. Nice texture and just a hint of heat. They have Vegan food and it's marked on the menu. My significant other had the SOFRITO TOFU TACOS and he said they were pretty good. I had a special, it was kind of a grown up grilled cheese. It had Chile rellenos with lots of cheese on sourdough. It was good but so filling. So much cheese. Almost too much. As it cooled it became a big clump. The fries were good.

Yelp
At McCormick Place for the Parliament of the World's Religions and it seemed everyone was here for lunch. Even though I was wearing my Buddhist samu-e (work clothes) I figured it was okay to sit at the bar when it saw a woman dressed as an Earth Goddess sipping her cocktail. Yes the chicken cutlet sandwich was fantastic and but you gotta get it with the savory cucumber salad (very much like Japanese sunomono). Wine list offered a variety of quality brands (yes, some of us religious folks appreciate a nice glass). Apparently the food was good enough for the non-drinkers since I saw people In Muslim dress as well as other international faiths. Staff was attentive and courteous.

Yelp
I had just gotten into town so I went to the hotel bar for dinner. Great service from the bartender. The burger was good and cooked as I had ordered it.

Yelp
Bar and restaurant at the Hyatt Regency connected to the McCormick Place. Unfortunately this was the only restaurant open outside of breakfast buffet in the morning. Wish I could remember the waitress because she was phenomenal. We started with a party of 10 but co-workers continued to arrive and she welcomed the additional table. At the end we had about 20 folks sitting over several tables. Although it would take a while to get drinks she was quick to refill waters and get us our appetizers. Everything was delicious that we tried from the appetizer menu. Ordered several entrees and they were hit and miss. The chicken and dumpling soup was actually like a mix of Italian meatball soup but with chicken bits. There wasn't really anything that resembled dumplings. Most of the folks enjoyed their food. 5 stars for the service and 3 stars for the food.
google avatar

Annamarie G.

Yelp
I ate here because there weren't many options. I found the food overpriced & not very good. My favorite thing was the Bavarian pretzels. The chili was just all right. My son had a "gyro". It was awful. The staff was nice, the music was good & the seating was cool.
google avatar

Meni J.

Yelp
I visited here twice b/c of the convenience. The first visit was a drink order togo. The second time we dined in. The service was incredibly slow well after we had finished. The food was just mediocre.
google avatar

Yelp
Good beer. Good food. Great location. Great service. If you're staying at the Hyatt or nearby, stop in and enjoy.
google avatar

Yelp
Save your money and go elsewhere if you have a chance. Service is ridiculously slow and largely uninterested in the clients there. Priced reasonably $$ range just not ideal. Good to order: Salmon caesar Kale side Cava

Yelp
came to the arc bar while at the FABTECH convention. Had amazing service. amazing food. Edith is the best
google avatar

Kayla L.

Yelp
Tofu tacos with quinoa is pretty good - tacos are spicy tho! $14.50 for the meal. Low key bar inside the Hyatt hotel. Wait staff is attentive and nice. Menu is a decent size for a hotel bar with food.

Doug S.

Yelp
The worst service imaginable. Go somewhere else. Staff is super disorganized and annoyed you are there ordering from them.
google avatar

Dave L.

Yelp
I usually don't like hotel restaurants when I travel but I opted for Arc in the Hyatt McCormick Place - it was raining, didn't feel like doing an Uber and I was generally too lazy to find a 'real' restaurant. I sat down at the busy bar and was immediately greeted by Gabriel, the bartender. He managed the bar well and I never had to wave him down despite the number of people he was serving. He recommended the black bean burger. I hadn't had one in a while, got it with avocado and a side of tomato cucumber salad. It was so tasty and really filling. Reasonably priced too, I thought. I am pretty happy with this decision and won't hesitate grabbing a quick bite here in the future.

Yelp
Great food options. Quick service. We got Arnold Palmers all around and it was fantastic. I got the chicken cutlet sandwich which was humongous and very filling. I would highly recommend it.

Yelp
Ebony was amazing! We felt right at home and she even helped us choose an amazing dessert, the adult PB & J! Yum!!! Thanks Ebony!

Yelp
Great menu and convenient late night eats at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. You can sit at tables, couches, the bar, or outside. Very nice.

Yelp
This is the hotel bar at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. Drinks are good and the staff was attentive. The bar is very upscale and food is available. Tables are available if you have a larger group.

Mark N.

Yelp
I traveled to Chicago for a meeting and was fortunate to stay at the Hyatt. Not wanting to venture out into the city I stumbled upon the ARC Bar. First, the service was outstanding. Second the drinks were great too. Third, the food was delicious. Lastly, the staff is attentive and understands how to work with patrons. Highly recommend the ARC Bar.
google avatar

Shannon R.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I have to agree with my fellow yelpers-this place isn't very good. The food is overpriced and the service is subpar. For one round of drinks and 3 salads the whole process (from ordering to eating) took 45 minutes.
google avatar

Awana P.

Yelp
I visited this place 3 times in a two day period. Their service could be greatly improved. We had a server charge some people gratuity because they were sitting at our table after we all paid. Yet didn't charge the original group gratuity. Very odd situation. I also didn't get a copy of my credit card receipt. I did have good interactions with the server when I ordered food to go. The food was good, the buffalo wings were tasty good, meat tender. The nachos were alright but more meat options would be nice. My server messed up my burger order so when it came out the second time it wasn't quite well done. But overall the food can get 4 stars. I wouldn't recommend this place at this time.
