"Tucked away between Place Camille-Jullian and Saint-Michel, a contemporary vibe sets the scene in the vaulted dining room whose bistronomic menu is ingredient-centred: in fact, some 90% of the fruit and veg comes from small, local producers. At lunchtime, you might sample a deliciously priced tataki of marinated watermelon in soy and citrus fruit or confit of loin of hake baked in olive oil. The culinary score becomes more high-flying in the evenings as do the ingredients. The menu changes regularly. Outstanding warm welcome and service." - Michelin Inspector

Every time I return to Arcada, I’m even more impressed. Friendly positive servers make sure you’re happy. They extend their trust by allowing you to go into their wine cellar to select your bottle of wine! Yes, all the wine is on the wine list, but it really brings it to life when you descend down a narrow winding stone staircase to a wine cave and select the bottle you want. The food and atmosphere is great. Each dish is unique and like a work of art. Highly recommend!

9/10 we were able to book online earlier in the day and got a slot at 19:30, which was a good thing as they had to turn people away (who hadn't made reservations) all evening. We could see why this is a popular restaurant as the food was very good, presentation was beautiful, and service was impeccable. Flavours were very layered; interesting combinations and complex without being fussy. I wished my chicken had one flavor stand out as it was all almost too subtle, whereas my wife's duck was excellent. They also very kindly explain each dish, the components, and anything noteworthy on how it's prepared (first video), and are happy to answer any questions. Prix fixe menu is excellent value. Nice amuse bouche, although it was quite similar to the chicken entree. It was a great way to celebrate a birthday! Would highly recommend Arcada and we would gladly return when back in Bordeaux!

We came with no expectations, but the welcoming and the smile of the service was just beyond. And if anybody has any questions about the food, it is just close to perfection. I love this place and the staff ❤️

Great environment with very friendly staff. The food was a fixed menu style and very well served. Well deserved ranking!!

Google
Nice place, great friendly attentive service, expert cooking but a tendency to make dishes too busy, with too many ingredients. Every dish tasted good. The pressed duck was great. Good wine list. In the heart of Bordeaux.

I was pleasantly surprised by this location (lovely interior), atmosphere and service. We were presented each course in details, recommended drinks that were suitable for our meal. Great attention to detail! A different restaurant from the other ones in Bordeaux. We felt amazing. We ate beetroot and beef tartare for entree, then we had fish (black cod) and my wife had slowly cooked beef - the sauces accompanying both dishes were amazing. And the desserts were also very tasty because they were not very sweet, and they were delicate. Congratulations for this concept restaurant!

Best refine dining experience! The food was elegant, flavorful and delicious. All the plate looked beautiful. The staffs are attentive and friendly. I had a wonderful and memorable experience. Husband had a seat facing the kitchen and he was in awe of how the chef prepared the food, he thought they were artists delivering us edible art.

Yelp
We enjoyed this place! The service was amazing and the workers were probably the friendliest we have interacted with in France so I really appreciate that! You definitely need a reservation as they did have to turn people away without one. The restaurant is a bit in an odd location on a somewhat empty street. Also this is weird, but the floor slopes downward and isn't flat which made me personally feel uncomfortable to be at an angle (I have motion sickness and this felt weird). I'm know not everyone is bothered by that but I would've liked to have known before choosing this place. Otherwise it's very nice and romantic inside. The price is excellent at 49 euros for three courses. The food was very good but I will say that it looked better than it tasted. We enjoyed it but we weren't convinced that it is the top restaurant in Bordeaux as listed on trip advisor. For the price it was good.

Yelp
I would give Arcada 6 stars if I could. It was exceptional. Laid back space in a centuries old building. Our servers were eager to please and very helpful with wine suggestions. For entrees, the citrus watermelon tataki was amazing as was the flame burned mackerel. Les Plats: The roasted trout and peanut smoked guinea fowl were exceptionally delicious. The desserts were incredible - we had the madagascar dark chocolate ganache and the meringue dome with marjoram and white chocolate. Arcada was one of the best meals we had in France. Best of all, my friend is a very picky eater, and she loved it!

Yelp
A wonderful dining experience in a small restaurant with excellent service and unique food offerings and presentations. The wine list is extensive and the servers are happy to help you with a selection. The menu is unique and changes daily based on seasonal food selections. It's hard to describe the food we experienced. Look over the menu and you will see what I mean. We had reservations for 7pm as we were leaving early the next morning. We thought we would be the only people in the restaurant but we were wrong. It was pretty much full by 7:30. Enjoy the experience!

Yelp
A nice French without overwhelming. A 5 for the food, a 4 for the service: We came here as a recommendation and it did not disappoint! Each meal itself was so complex and astonishing. There are only 3 appetizer dishes and 3 mains to select from. However, they were all so flavorful and the presentation was exquisite. If you have the opportunity to dine here, absolutely would recommend!

Yelp
The service and food at Arcada were both just wonderful. The staff was welcoming and very willing to speak English and explain the menu to us. They suggested a lovely bottle of wine to pair with our food choices. The restaurant has about 10 tables so be sure to make a reservation if you can.
