12 Destination-Worthy Farmers Markets in Northern California | Eater

"If Humboldt County has a community epicenter, it’s the Arcata Plaza on Saturday mornings. You’re as likely to see shoppers checking out produce as you are to see locals setting up on the grass and listening to one of the area bands performing. It also features a play space for kids and a central food court. And as it’s only a few miles away from Humboldt Bay (sometimes referred to as the “oyster capital of California”), you can walk around the market with a basket of barbecued bivalves from North Bay Shellfish." - Vox Creative

My Son goes to Humboldt SU. I went to visit him and my Grandson. It was my 1st time going to the Arcata Plaza Farmers' Market. I really loved it. So of the most beautiful vegetables I've ever seen.

Google
Really love that so many produce vendors are organic! Quite a few vendors offer different varieties of produce than what is typically found in supermarkets. Swoon! Love that vendors selling prepared food, such as locally made goat cheese, use local, organic ingredients! For those who like to make their own products with organic herbs, oils, etc. they have them there! Vendors sell both small amounts and living plants. You can really do the majority of your shopping there. Besides excellent produce, easily found items include: Honey, beeswax, tea, coffee, cheese, eggs, oysters, dried beans, baked goods, plants, and flowers. What is missing? Household compost drop off bins for the farmers to use.

A must visit weekend market if you are in Eureka area. Amazing selection of vegan/vegetarian pastries. Plenty of fresh veggies and fruits. There are a good selection of food such as wood fire pizza, vegan tamales, bagels, etc.,

Google
I love this farmers market so much, it seems to only haopen on sundays. This is so cool to stop by! especially to see the guy with the jam, and the other guy that sells flower crowns. I try to go out of my way to come here when im passimg through Arcats, too bad its not always the most convenient day for travel 😞. The vendors here are so awesome, I hope I can sell my stuff here sometime

Google
Driving down the coast, starving and in need of walking around a bit, we completely randomly found Arcata - and then the Farmers Market. It didn’t have a huge variety of take away food but good selection of produce. It was a good Humboldt County vibe and hey, grilled oysters!

Yelp
Loved to see local food producers selling their goods directly to the public. Didn't love that prices are so high. ($6 for a pint of strawberries? A few hours later I paid $4 from a farmer's food stand along the highway, and OMG were they delicious!) The music is very nice while you're browsing the square block of vendor stalls arranged along the perimeter of the plaza. The music is painful when you're right next to the speakers in the center, where the food venders are. Bought some fantastic bread from Beck's Bakery, and some wonderful, fresh veggies from a local organic grower. Tried 3 food vendors; 1 was great, 1 was good, 1 was a waste of $16 (for my tastes, anyway).

Yelp
This is a must when visiting the area. Good food and locally grown everything. You must try this shrimp ceviche, $13 and worth it! There are a lot of cute shops surrounding the market, so make a 1/2 day out of the experience.

Yelp
What fun! Live music. Great wares. Yummy foods. Ecologically thoughtful with green dish cleaning and even for the BBQ oysters. Can't beat the people watching!!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a must stop place if you're passing through the town! The bbq oysters smelt so delicious but I had ate prior to coming so till this day I'm full with regrets not getting it! There were so many options for fresh produce, honey, and organic goodies! Every vendor had such a friendly face and it was all very welcoming! The live music was such a nice touch, I'm not sure if it's every weekend that they have live music but I'm glad I came when they have it!

Yelp
I was in Arcata visiting friends for a weekend and after grabbing brunch at a café nearby, we decided to hit up their glorious farmers market. I mean, how could you not start your Saturday morning here? Live music, amazing foods and produce, locally made products, etc. For folks like me, this was a gold mine! This farmers market can be found right smack dab in the middle of Arcata in the beautiful park/square. Tons of folks come out and there's tons of vendors too. I grabbed some fresh fruit to enjoy while I walked around with friends and it was amazing. I noticed everything for sale from oysters to handmade soap, to mini succulents, and everything in between. I was so bummed that I couldn't purchase much since I was only there for a few days. If I lived there, I would be there every weekend, no doubt. Lastly, I have to give a giant shout out to the live music that was happening. I go to farmers markets all the time and this the first time I've ever experience a live band. It was so good, my friend and I, and everyone around us were up dancing on the green and it was so much fun.
google avatar

Meg C.

Yelp
Loved this farmer's market. The music was fun as long as you're not by the speakers (way too loud for me). The hot food at the center of the square was good. There were some interesting choices, like a place that sold sourdough brownies, that I didn't really enjoy but it was cool to try. Lots of good fresh bread. My favorite part was that the focus was on the local produce as well as local foods in general (the jam stall was great).

Yelp
This farmers market does not seem to be very open to "outsiders/visitors". We found that 2 of the 30+ booths were friendly and welcoming. Several of the booths flat out ignored us or walked away when we walked up to ask questions. This Farmers Market has a lot to learn if they expect anyone except their neighbors to purchase their goods. Why bother with the Farmers Market when you can go to the Co-Op for better prices and great quality local goods? Yes there's live music, yes threes a lot of options - all mean nothing if your attitude toward outsiders is unwelcoming. Should you venture here, there are plenty of surrounding shops, parking sporadically throughout the surrounding area, and plenty of things to see.

Yelp
The Arcata Farmer's Market was recommended to me by my friend Emily. I was a bit dubious about visiting a Farmer's Market while on vacation and staying in a hotel - I mean, I can't take any of the produce back and prepare it into a delicious meal... Boy am I ever glad I visited! The Farmer's Market takes up the entire park in the center of Arcata every Saturday morning during it's run. I've never seen such a large Farmer's Market - all of the ones we have back here in Northern VA that I have been to are tiny in comparison. But large does not necessarily mean good. In this case - it does! I walked all way around the block oohing and aahing over the various produce vendors. Lots of fresh, organic, naturally grown fruits and vegetables! Beautiful! I took a lot of photos! One produce vendor seemed a bit perturbed that I was taking photos of her produce offerings - I responded with a smile that everything was so pretty and so photo worthy - and that her produce - with all of its colors and textures would make for a really nice jigsaw puzzle. Her look of consternation turned to a big smile and a laugh and she agreed! I shared with her that I was on vacation and while I would love to buy a bunch of produce, I had no place to store it in my hotel room. But there are also other vendors. At first my thought was to visit the Farmer's Market, then leave and go find a place for breakfast. Then I though, "Why not just have something that is being served at the Farmer's Market for breakfast?" So I did! I came across a hot dog stand - and they had a menu option called a "Humboldt Hottie," - a spicy sausage, served in a bun, topped with grilled onions. I added some condiments: yellow mustard and Sriracha sauce, and paired with a delicious cup of hot coffee from Los Bagels, I had a non-traditional tasty, delicious breakfast! After devouring that amazing spicy sausage, I started perusing the other vendors. I discovered "Humboldt Honey Wine" had a small tent set up and were serving up tastes of of one of their Meads: A Cyser. I tasted and enjoyed it. I asked the lady if they had a brick and mortar location - which they did. She gave me their business card and told me they open at 3:00 pm on Saturday. So I promised to visit later in the day for a Mead tasting (which I did). I also discovered a food vendor hawking Barbecued oysters on the half shell. They offer two flavors - I chose the spicy offering - 3 oysters for $5.00. Oysters are very easy to overcook. These were cooked perfectly! They were tender and succulent! Yummm!!! At the center of the park, was a band performing - I don't know the name of the band, but they were performing what sounded like music with a Caribbean/Jamaican/Reggae flavor. They were talented musicians and there were a lot of folks hanging out relaxing and listening to them while drinking coffee - a few folks were up and dancing to the music. The place was packed. I can see why everyone loves this Farmer's Market. If I lived around here, I'd be here EVERY Saturday morning! #ArcataFarmersMarket

Yelp
Reluctantly, I must admit this is the best Farmer's Market I've been to across California. I'll save you my reason for reluctance. But the market is awsome. Local farmers bring their produce from locally grown farmers. My criticism of most Farmer's Markets is that they are basically outdoor food courts and craft tents with a sprinkling of produce. This bucks the trend. They also provide 2 market bucks to 1 food stamp bucks. Which is really righteous. They operate on Saturdays and if you're rolling through Humboldt definitely stop to pick up supplies for the road. A top 10 thing for me of why I think it's a cool county.

Marie S.

Yelp
A fun place, an interesting place. We had to park several blocks away. There was a variety of bbq'd oysters, goat cheese, duck eggs, honey wind, brisket and mashed potatoes in a cone, and artichokes galore. It really did give off a California / "new-generation" hippie sort of vibe
google avatar

Jude T.

Yelp
Fantastic place! Really! Overall, a great experience! I am a tomato farmer as a hobby, but I saw tomatoes here that were, wow, things I'd never seen before! And oh boy, the prices of heirlooms here were off the wall. I also found purple garlic, which is great - hard to find at farmers markets back home. Lots of big squash and watermelons, too. Corn was a bit pricey? But I think that's my expectation from being from the east coast. Corn apparently isn't cheap in California. Berries were in abundance and both cheap AND delicious. The food stands all seemed great. I had a spicy chicken tamale from one - very good. I'd give it five stars, but they ban dogs, so they get four.

Kelsea P.

Yelp
The sweetest scene on sunny Saturday mornings. Happy people and beautiful local produce in the town's Plaza Square. The main market is occurs April - November. Otherwise the smaller winter market happens on the SE corner of the square. This is a great opportunity to support local farming and pick up the freshest produce available. Multiple banks with ATM machines nearby but almost all vendors take cards.

Yelp
This is my most favorite farmers market, it's just so lovely. Arcata is such a beautiful town, and this market is equally beautiful. There are so many market stands with lots of different items. The sellers are so passionate about what they're selling, and they're so excited to see you there. There are booths selling meals, and booths selling candles and bonsai trees, and all the produce you could want. There is live music and hula hoops for the kids. There's a booth that sells gluten free, vegan bread, and a booth that sells fresh flower crowns. It's so wonderful being out with so many people. There are also lots of food places in the plaza.
google avatar

Samantha B.

Yelp
The Arcata Farmer's Market is a great way to spend an early Saturday morning. You can always count on a variety of fresh and organic produce, and beautiful fresh flowers! On my most recent visit, the booths had everything from Apple butter to barbecued oysters. The plaza is also home to a variety of great restaurants, so if you plan to attend this market, I would suggest you enjoy a breakfast close by as well!

Yelp
Oh, to frolic amongst the wannabe hippies, lumberjacks, and potheads. Take my word, it doesn't sound that scary or dive-y. Where else can you see a menagerie of people like this? And where else can you find excellent food, crafts, music, and stories? Over the last few years, I've become a groupie of Farmers Market. I wait for seasons of harvest like Xmas. Everyone should have access to a Farmer's Market. Food fresh from the ground is so much sweeter than anything you can get at any super market. You can pick up all sorts of goodies here. There is honey fresh from the hive. Locally & indigenously fished salmon (I picked up some smoked salmon which was dang tasty). And of course there is all sorts of produce. If only all college students could be lucky enough to have options such as this. And no, there are no weed vendors here....well, none that are legal and part of the Farmer's Market.

Yelp
If you have a chance to check this farmer's market out, do so! Coming from the Bay Area with a plethora of farmer's market and a variety of fruits and veggies, I figured Arcata's farmer's market would not compare. I was wrong. Even though this market is smaller than say the Alemany farmer's market in SF, this one has produce I have never seen before like a yellow watermelon, string beans that were white and purple and cauliflower, the color of cheddar cheese. They also sold some very delicious Gravenstein apples. It was open on a Sat. Morning to early afternoon.

Yelp
The Arcata Saturday Farmer's Market on the Plaza is an organic food lovers institution, a landmark, a beacon for other's - I've been to several farmer's markets around the country and across the globe over the decades, there may be ones bigger but there are few that compare to this amazing weekly event during the growing season - from early spring to late fall easily 100+ vendors from all over the county set up during the growing season every Saturday morning early for the multitudes of customers that come out for the day, often in the thousands on busy ones. This place is really hoping with energy and activity by mid morning and by early afternoon its an amazing downtown party. Local live music, various kinds of performers, committed organic farmers and purveyors, and home cottage businesses, lots of good people, amazing whole foods, flowers and plants of all kinds and on a great setting - make this market one of the very best around. You will not only find a vibrant community that supports and practices sustainable local agriculture you will most likely experience one of the coolest places on the planet coming together for a few hours every weekend. There is always some kind of special event tied into the FM from samba parades and oyster parties, kinetic races to sidewalk chalk gatherings - it seems like some unique event happens in conjunction with the market - so its always a celebration. Well worth a trip and its one of the amazing events the happen behind the Redwood Curtain that makes it the awesome place it is to live. 5 Stars only because there are not 6... 00259

Yelp
It has been almost 7 years since I visited the Arcata Farmers Market. I forgot how fascinating this scene was with a SEVEN PIECE brass band playing with great enthusiasm, the Pacific Northwest culture in full swing with dreads, paisley prints, flowing beads and hair, and the mellow vibe and 420 aroma. Now for the food. The raw oyster stand has the most perfect fresh and super delicious tasty critters in the shell, 3 for $5, don't leave without a taste! The variety of veggies is extremely diverse and saw a few items I've yet to experience in a typical grocery store. Los Bagels has an array of pastries that rival any French Bakery and delicious coffee. I purchased frozen Liverwurst which is impossible to find in LA. I also bumped into a sweet stand that displayed whipped body creams with exotic ingredients that moisturized and smelled divine. I was sooooo looking forward to the Flying Blue Dog Nursery fare but someone got a summer bug and opted out. That was the primary reason for travelling here but I was in no way disappointed with the available options. I spent over 3 hours walking the square and each time I found something more interesting. It was great fun to just sit and watch all the young kids dance, swing a hoola hoop, and run around with great grins in the warm breezy sunshine. Talk about a perfect day! Parking is tricky so be prepared to walk a few blocks, this is a well attended event. High recommend for a party atmosphere, interesting people watching, and wonderful food and sundry items. Saturdays 9AM - 2PM during summer season only. Enjoy!!!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing farmer's market! They have everything from plants to candles to food to beanies spun out of some lady's bunnies' hair. The atmosphere is very laid back. The locals bring their own bags or baskets to bring home their fresh, organically grown produce and those of us that are less local end up purchasing a bag or basket so we can look cool too. I have been to the Arcata Farmer's Market a few times and while I usually make a beeline right for the Los Bagel's stand, I was with my grandmother this last time and she wanted to look at plants. Many of the growers know exactly what they're talking about and will be straight up with you on whether or not a plant will survive where you plan on taking it. It's like they love what they're selling so much that they don't want to just sell it so it can be killed and whatnot. Parking can be hard as everyone and their brother comes out to the Farmer's Market, but it's well worth the wait for a parking spot!

Yelp
I have been to many farmers markets in my day and this one is EXCELLENT. The variety of vegetables is out of this world. There were speckled green beans, beautiful flowers, plants, purple snap peas, huge onions etc. Prices are acceptable given the more remote region. Not too many food choices...just sandwich's, tamales, fresh juice, and bagels and hot dogs. Awesome people watching and fun music.
google avatar

Karen L.

Yelp
I thought I had died and gone to heaven walking through this Farmer's Market. Oh my goodness!!! Goodness indeed! The vegetables from the farmer's all looked amazing and displayed in such pleasing ways. Too bad we were about to start a backpack trip or I would have gone wild. We did purchase honey from two different vendors, one whipped and one infused with lavender. The whipped honey is gloriously creamy and the lavender honey is just a dream come true and has been "reserved" for special occasions. Truly a treasure of Arcata.

Yelp
We love the farmers market! So many local vendors to choose from. Food is incredible! I love the variety! They offer pre packaged Harvest Boxes for quick and easy pick up!

Marc M.

Yelp
This is pretty much where we get all our produce and meat for the week, and honestly you'd have to be nuts not to. Delicious vegetables? There are dozens of farm stands to choose from, most of them probably picked the veggies within the last 24 hours, the prices are often similar to what you'd pay at a good supermarket, and the quality is on an entirely different level. Seriously, if you haven't had a farmer's market tomato (Neukom has as many as ten varieties in season), you haven't really had a tomato. Purple daikon, shishito peppers, a half-dozen varieties of lettuce, fresh-from-the-ground potatoes that will melt in your mouth, you name it. Delicious fruits? Everywhere you look. Peaches, fantastic strawberries, watermelons large and small, all sorts of melons, plums, apples and pears, even a few exotics you've probably never heard of. Plus some surprises, like kiwis. Meat? Best beef you'll find anywhere, juicy pork, a variety of really great homemade sausage, absolutely fantastic bacon, chicken, lamb, even rabbit. And if you want something to eat right now (other than fruits and vegetables, plenty of which won't make it home if you are so inclined) there's a food court in the center with bread, baked goodies, hot dogs, mashed potato cones, and more. Plus there is live music in a variety of genres and almost always of impressive quality, so you can just sit on the grass and enjoy the show without buying anything. It's like a little festival every weekend!
google avatar

Skylar F.

Yelp
There is so much to do at this Farmer's Market. By far, the best farmer's market that I have ever been to. It's very enjoyable and a great time to be had. I love the general atmosphere and how people seem to generally be enjoying themselves when they are there. I try to go out every Sunday because I always enjoy myself.
google avatar

Tom H.

Yelp
If you enjoy music, nice scenery, and a mellow morning, then you will like Saturdays at Arcata's Farmers Market. About the nicest Farmers market I like shopping at. I enjoy a fresh cinnamon roll and watch people shopping, and listening to a live music. Oh yeah, it will be pricey.
google avatar

Mari S.

Yelp
Everything a Farmer's Market is supposed to be... and more. It was my first visit to Arcata/Humboldt County, and my brother who attends HSU took my Mom & I here on a Saturday afternoon. There was a number of vendors selling a variety of fruits, vegetables, plants & honey. Not only do they have a wide selection, but there's lots of interesting things & people to keep one occupied & entertained. As anyone who comes to Humboldt or has been there - knows that the people of Humboldt = hippies, environmentalists (aka Tree Huggers) & stoners! Come check out Arcata's Farmer's Market on a weekend, and enjoy the culture, treats and people of the Humboldt County!
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Beautiful farmers market. Full of friendly faces, lots of food and music, the center has the foods you can munch on there - like a waffle cone full of mashed potatoes and gravy! Tons of high quality produce - apples, plums, peaches, pears, berries, garlic, onion, honey, bell peppers, greens, mushrooms (several species!), zucchini, salad fixes, meats, soaps, teas, flowers etc etc the list goes on.! Definitely go. Only thing is that it's not that cheap, but you're dealing directly with growers, so thats a thing!

Elaine M.

Yelp
Came across this Farmers Market while on my way to breakfast (see T's Cafe for part 2 of 3 of my Arcata reviews) and was surprised by how nice it was. They have live music with a plethora of fresh flowers I usually only see at my Whole Foods back in Pasadena. Plenty of organic fruits, vegetables, homemade honey, soaps and even yarn! ~I just used one of the soaps for the first time- so far, so good! ~Produce/Meat is a little pricey, but what do you expect when you're shopping organic? ~Lots of succulents reasonably priced, but I like to do my shopping in LA for cheaper. In short, if you're visiting from Southern California like myself, you would enjoy it. It's the real farmers market that our fake Whole Foods hipster loving shoppers live for! Beware hipsters, these people are the real deal!
google avatar

Deserie D.

Yelp
This is the best and longest running farmers market I have ever experienced. Every Saturday morning you discover what's being grown in humboldt county, local creations, some delicious food and an amazing mix if people. There is often someone playing music, sharing hula hoops and sometimes the unimaginable. I love the flower lady, her flowers are absolutely stunning. The local honey is delicious, and of course all the veggies, herbs, bunny lady, pottery and.....
google avatar

Ben G.

Yelp
Come for the veggies, plants, and honey, but stay for the hippies. Plan on staying for a while and you'll have a good time.
google avatar

D B.

Yelp
Had a fine time looking around at the local offerings. I bought a plastic jar of bear-shaped honey and my girlfriend found an herbal plant for her garden. Didn't have as much a variety of produce as I was hoping to find, with many plants, flowers, miscellaneous homemade home goods and earnest musicians. I thought the food vendors were average. We split a hotdog, horchata, tamale, and a plate of Ethiopian food called I-forget-wot (this was our lunch). Excellent town square spot for people or, ideally, dog watching.
google avatar

Morgan A.

Yelp
Great selection and great music. To tell the truth, the music is often my reason for coming. But once I'm there, I take advantage of the great produce and ready to eat foods being served.
google avatar

Josh D.

Yelp
This is an outstanding farmer's market. Generally I loathe such things as it's usually vendors from all hell and gone pretending to be local. However in Arcata it is most definitely not that way. The town has a beautiful square which plops the vendors around the perimeter and allow plenty of room for all the absolute goofballs (both locals and outsiders) to do all their hippy/homeless/circus-folk singing and dancing and pot smoking and guitar struming. The produce and products were well varied and priced reasonably. Most were organic and all vendors definitely had the local - ahem - look.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
-Great for people watching -Produce was kind of pricey - Los Bagels... amazing coffee (best I ever had probably) -The lady with the gourmet olive stand = amazing, MUST try the green olives in arriabata sauce -Did I mention great for people watching? -Live music
google avatar

Rica A.

Yelp
Best farmer's market that I've ever been to: the live music is entertaining, the people are nice, and the vendors are laid back and super approachable. It's different from other farmer's markets that feel like people are trying too hard to sell to you. Here, people line up to buy. The demand for the products and food are clear.
google avatar

Sammi D.

Yelp
I love this farmers market. It is simply amazing and the entire town is out enjoying it. Live music, great vibe, amazing people. The food is fresh, there are kids in the trees. This is the highlight of every Saturday.
google avatar

Chris K.

Yelp
Always worth the trip. Many locally grown tomatoes that actually taste like tomatoes. A cornucopia of various peppers and greens, local honey, mushrooms, fresh flowers. You name it. While you're there get a bbq'd oyster or five and stop into one of the local bars for a refreshment. It's always a great time. Don't forget to bring a bag!
google avatar

Sarah G.

Yelp
The Arcata Farmer's Market is more than just a Farmer's Market, there is so much entertainment and vendors that you are easily occupied for several hours. You get everything from the organic produce to the intricate (expensive) knit wear and homemade candle holders and such. With the smell of marijuana and patchouli in the air, you know you are in Humboldt County and the Farmer's Market is the epitome of Hum Co culture. There are all sorts of bands playing and it is an over all good time, I highly recommend it!
google avatar

Jim W H.

Yelp
I love Farmer's Markets and this is one that is on the top of my list. Went last year and will return soon to partake, purchase and enjoy.

Yelp
I love Checking out farmer markets so I was very excited to see that there was one in Arcata when dropping off my kid at HSU. My fiancée and kid not so excited. Located in the center of town which is walkable from HSU, there was a large variety of vendors with their fresh vegetables, plants and homemade goodies. It seems to be the main event on Saturdays in this cute little town. I loved the fact that it was pretty much set up in a large circle in the middle of the plaza and in the middle hot food vendors were setup. They had vegetables that were bigger than my head thinking that the only big fruit/vegetables we see in the city is probably ones that had been injected with pesticides or steroids! Every vendor was very friendly and unfortunately we weren't able to buy any fruit/vegetables because of our long trip back to LA but my kid and I did buy some succulents from a man wearing a poncho and a sombrero, for her room and my garden to commemorate her starting HSU. Check it out if you get to visit and meet all the colorful people in this cute town!

Melody U.

Yelp
Arcata's Farmers Market has been the best farmers market I have gone to so far and I've gone to a few in different places. There's so much selection here: eggs, plants, juices, mushrooms, seafood, garlic and regular produce fruits and vegetables. The prices vary depending on what you're looking for and what stand you buy from, so it helps to look around a bit but some items are only available at one stand. A lot of people come out for the market on Saturdays, I just wish pets were allowed on the plaza so I can walk over with my dog. Oh and come prepared with cash, I have not found any farm stand that accepts cards yet and don't think they will anytime soon. The food stands in the middle of the plaza might accept cards, but I'm not sure about that either.

Ben S.

Yelp
BEST FARMER'S MARKET IN CALIFORNIA the variety of produce and consumables is unmatched. Everything is a little more expensive but everything is organic and local. Try the goat soap lady, her stuff is amazing. A MUST VISIT FOR SOMEONE PASSING THROUGH

Yelp
Does anyone not love the Arcata Farmers Market? Even if you don't let your freak flag fly or you're not a big fan of spinning poi, the positive energy here and the amazing fresh fruits and veggies make every Saturday a wonderful treat. I could spend all day here!

Michael L.

Yelp
An awesome place to get fresh locally grown/produced veggies, fruits, and goods. Bring friends and family on a sunny Saturday and hang out.

Such a fun place to go on Saturday morning, to walk around, eat good food, and meet friends. A little pricy at times, but it goes to farmers, so it seems worth it.

Yelp
Great place to connect with local business people and friends. This market is an example of a community coming together. Lots of veggies, seafood, meats and produce harvested, grown and produced locally. Live music, entertainment and picnicking all day every Saturday. Many of the locals look forward to when the Farmers Market starts up and they can get out and mingle/shop/eat and have a good time. One of the reason I like living in Arcata!

Yelp
Fun, the perfect farmers market! Local vendors selling everything from fresh veggies, plants, flowers, prepared food and music. You may have to park a little ways from the Plaza so be prepared to walk, but not too far. A great way to spend a Saturday morning or maybe spend the day.

Yelp
A perfect place to go to and support local. I simply love this place to be within the community and see all beautiful people come out supporting their local farmers. Love the music, veggies, fruits, food to eat and plants. Stay local..
