"The Domain hotel’s lobby restaurant AKB is adding Easter specials to its regular brunch service, which includes a carving station with two options: espresso-crusted prime rib and herb-honey-glazed ham; sides like potato au gratin and grilled asparagus; as well as dishes like the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and the pan-seared salmon. Brunch hours are from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; book reservations online; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in services." - Nadia Chaudhury

"How did it strike you on arrival? The hotel is an anchor of Domain Northside, the newest section of Austin's high-end, mixed-use development, The Domain (home to Sprinkles cupcakes, an Apple store, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus). The two-story limestone lobby is decorated with a dramatic, multi-tiered chandelier, metal end tables that mimic driftwood, and oversized black-and-white photography of galloping horses. Behind the individual check-in desks, decorative panels are fashioned from Western-style leather belts; but the infusion of Texas elements feels more modern than kitschy. What’s the crowd like? The Domain is located in a residential north Austin neighborhood, about 20 minutes from downtown (without traffic). Though it's bustling with high-end shops and restaurants, the quiet area offers a reprieve from the crush of downtown, hipster-fied Austin. And the guests know that: It draws young couples who want a boutique hotel experience, away from the crowds and nightly live music. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.I stayed in a Classic King, which is spacious and filled with understated furnishings. The accent wall above the bed leaves an impression, as do the playful photography of scattered, colorful cowboy boots. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The bed is extremely plush and comfortable. The blackout curtains guarantee a deep, relaxing sleep. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that worth a mention? The mini bar is a delight. Sugarfina Champagne gummy bears are available for $9. "The Little Prince" children's book, with an Archer bookmark inside naming it a hotel pick is a touch of whimsy for $12. In case of rain there's a MoMA umbrella for use (and purchase). The Nespresso machine is not mini-sized like the kind often found in hotels; tea is also available and it's local (Zhi). Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down. The his-and-hers slippers are clever: His are embroidered with a mustache, hers with puckered lips. (They are complimentary to take home.) The robes are Frette. The oversized shower has a rainshower head and Malin + Goetz products. Facial wipes are a useful touch for women who need to remove their makeup at the end of the day. Room service: Worth it?The breakfast is fantastic—especially the decadent plate of banana bread pudding French Toast. Staff: If you could award one a trophy, who gets it, and why?Turndown service features a different local snack every night: Fat Belly pretzels, Crave Artisan Chocolate, mini brownies, a pair of pastries, and white chocolate popcorn are just a few of the goodies that have been dispensed. Anything else to keep in mind?Valet is available for a charge, but free parking is located in the adjacent lot. The upper-level pool (with a giant Lone Star design) is on the smaller side, but the massive TV nearby plays college football and the fireplace is lit all day. What was most memorable about your stay? The service is impeccable. Bottom line: Why are we staying here?If you want to take advantage of The Domain, this is the place to stay." - Allison Bagley

"The vibe: Lone Star LuxuryTop amenities: AKB bar and restaurant, spa service menu, large fitness studio, business centerLocation: The DomainBest for: Business and pleasure Sunset light beams through two proud Texas stars on the glass windowed ceiling of AKB, the inventive bar, restaurant, and gathering place that immediately welcomes guests upon entry to the lobby. Check in and start your night here with dinner and a sunset view. Must tries: the Violet Sky butterfly blue gin cocktail that matches the warm, purple and pink post-golden hour glow, melt-in-your mouth wonton-shelled ahi taquitos, “street corn” made with four textures of corn, and the brick oven wild mushroom pizza. The 171-room, new-build hotel features a grand staircase flanked by a 30-foot Kimerlee Curyl wild mustang mural in the lobby. Just up the stairs and out onto the patio, guests will find the splash pool studded with stars and backdropped by the Texas-sized local limestone fireplace and large TV. Many room types are available including classic upscale rooms and curated spacious suites, but the king rooms are notable for their floor-to-ceiling photo murals and platform beds." - Alexandra Toto

"There are still two other Second Bar locations in Austin: the second in the Domain Northside within the Archer Hotel (which opened in 2016), and the third in the Austin Bergstrom-International Airport (which opened in 2017). Once again this Hotel impressed my Husband and myself with wonderful accommodations and a polite, friendly staff. We stayed 3 nights at the Austin Hotel to celebrate my Husband’s Birthday. The staff, especially Front Desk Supervisors, Mariana and Alex, extended special attention to the BD Boy with both a room upgrade and a surprise room service delivery. The rooms are very well appointed and very clean with a comfortable bed. Everyone on staff greeted us with wonderful hospitality…bartender, waiter, housekeepers, pool attendant…and always inquired what else we may need. If possible request a room with a balcony…great place to sip your coffee or enjoy a good book. Bring your bathing suits…very inviting pool area.

Location is great. Rooms are nice. However the service is sub-par which is disappointing. I had to request a room cleaning twice. Did not receive fresh towels. The curtains were inoperable (essentially broken) and I asked to have it fixed and did not happen. The location is great so if that is your primary goal then I recommend. As to what you receive for the price, you can do better. I am hopeful this was just a one-off bad experience. 02-Jul Update: I received a follow-up communication from the director of rooms who took the time to respond to my concerns. I greatly appreciated this and it confirms that this was probably just a one-off unfortunate situation. I am impressed by their care and loyalty to customers to follow-up like this and I am appreciative. Kudos to you Archer Hotels and thank you.

The Archer Austin thinks through all the details! The hotel is charming, modern, cozy. Tucked away at the north end of The Domain, it’s peaceful and quiet. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. My room was very well appointed, chic, modern, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The bed was SUPER comfy. Best sleep I’ve had in a while. There’s close parking by way of a parking garage right across the way. But there’s great valet service so it’s easy to drop off and pick up your car. Because you’re in The Domain, a ton of great shops and restaurants are in easy walking distance. The hotel also has a cozy restaurant and bar if you want to stay in. Definitely retuning to the Archer during fall football season in Austin!

This was our first actual stay at the hotel We have been here before with friends but did not stay overnight. The staff was very friendly and the quality of the hotel is excellent. We really enjoy the pool area because of its fun atmosphere. The hotel is in the middle of the Domain and close to many shops and restaurants. It's a great place for a weekend getaway. Would love to stay here again soon.......

I stayed at the archer this past weekend and everything was amazing. I was there for a business meeting with an organization so we had our meetings on site so everything from our rooms, the meeting space to the food was incredible. When I checked in on 6/6, I met James at the front desk. I mentioned it was my birthday while I was there and he went out of his way to make my stay extra special especially since my primary purpose there was work. He was so kind and thoughtful, the hotel is certainly lucky to have him! The hotel clearly has put a lot of thought into each element of someone’s stay really enhancing the experience. I would certainly look to stay here or at one of their other locations again!

Everyone was so polite and friendly. The hotel is kept exceptionally clean. Everything from the wait staff, to the front desk and valet service was exceptional. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone for a most enjoyable and memorable stay.

The check in process was fast and easy. The hotel bar was excellent after dinner and the bar tenders very engaging just overall great little getaway.

Can’t say enough great things about this hotel. I was really treated like family by the hotel staff, especially Chef Eric who personally made the trip lovely. Hotel was beautiful, and the food and beverage menu was great. Will be coming back, thank you so much.

Yelp
Corner Balcony Suite for our Anniversary. Charming ATX themed and elegant hotel located right in the Northside of The Domain area.We found the hotel team very welcoming from the confirmation email and host team texts prior to our arrival. Upon arrival valet is available or self parking near the Nordstrom parking garage (levels 3 &4). Valet team were friendly and welcoming. Our initial room upon checkin was not ideal, AC did not work well. We spoke with the front desk and were promptly relocated to a much better option on the same floor which made for an easy adjustment. The corner suite is spacious, gorgeous and well suited with kitchenette, living room area, separate bedroom area and large bathroom; the wraparound balcony with fireplace were an amazing addition. The bathroom included both an extra large soaker tub (room for 2) and large shower, double vanities and separate water closet. The hotel bar right in the lobby was quaint with friendly staff and great views all around. The Texas themed touches throughout the hotel from the blue bonnets to the horses and guitars plus the glam/bling are a very nice touch. The pool area looks like it could be a great time with the large movie screen, pool, patio seating and cabana seating options. This area was not open during our stay, when open however I would recommend visiting. I will say the location has it's perks with walkability to nearby eateries, shopping, bars and more; the nightlife can also be very loud late night. Our room had both ear plugs and a sound machine, both unfortunately still did not drown out the loud techno music throughout the late night/early morning. Overall we are very pleased with our stay and appreciate The Archer team for the warm welcome, and anniversary touches during our stay.

Yelp
Had an amazing stay here this past weekend. We were thinking of staying here and surprisingly found package on their website that gave granted us a discounted rate, late check out (1pm), and a $50 credit to their bar and restaurant. Was perfect for a couple getaway! Check-in process went very smooth. A very nicely designed hotel. Our room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The shower was really nice. The lighting was a bit too dim for my liking but it was a vibe. I wish the TV was a smart TV which some 2- & 3-star hotels we've stayed at in the past have had. Not a big deal though. We ordered room service and it was delivered to us fairly quickly. Food was great! Parking: they offer valet parking but there is also complimentary designated parking. Noise: I've seen reviews that the bar scene nearby can get really loud but we didn't have an issue. We were also facing the north area so that factors into it. Domain is a great area for food, shopping, and nightlife so you can't go wrong with the area

Yelp
The Archer is a great boutique hotel that pays attention to detail. There's a subtle The Little Prince theme. The pool is heated. This location has easy parking and walkability to restaurants and shopping. The beds are comfortable. The gym is nice. Loved the Nespresso in the room. When I was there the lobby was quiet and peaceful. Definitely will stay again! @tollivertravels

Yelp
Overall, the Archer Hotel is a beautiful building with intricate decor at their restaurant and bar. They especially did not skimp when it came to Christmas decorations, and it made the perfect setting for a small Christmas party with co-workers and their plus ones. As for food, they had decent vegetarian options like brussels sprouts and fries as appetizers, and pizzas like wild mushroom and margherita. They were also able to sub in blue cheese for the wild mushroom, swapping out the taleggio. It made for a fun, custom option and I'm glad they obliged.

Yelp
If you want a hotel that has a working fireplace on your balcony, this is the hotel for you! We splurged on a staycation night away from the kids and Archer Hotel did not disappoint! Turn down service with treats, welcome waters, a bathtub big enough for two...this place is amazing! The bed was super comfortable and soft, but if you prefer a bed with a bit of bounce this bed is not for you. The hotel itself has valet parking and is located smack in the middle of the Domain, making it very convenient for a weekend away. They have room service, a fully stocked mini bar, and tons of little welcoming touches like a cowboy ducky for the bathtub. Want a fancy city hotel without driving into the city? This is the place for you!

Laarni C.

Yelp
We stopped by the Archer Hotel after Sunday Brunch so it was a perfect time to go - quiet time in between lunch & dinner service! We had the fireplace all to ourselves. We enjoyed delicious & pretty cocktails in a warm and inviting ambiance! They had Christmas decorations up so it's definitely festive! Our server was friendly, attentive and prompt! It was a good stop over! We will be back to try AKB's brunch next time and enjoy lounging in front of Archer lobby's fireplace once again!

Yelp
Probably my favorite hotel in Austin. The service is UNBEATABLE!! The staff all look like they love their jobs. It's romantic. Bring your spouse! It's got tons to do all around it. You could literally never leave the area and spend a whole weekend full of fun.

Daniel D.

Yelp
Good place to hold meetings for work. I really liked the comfort of the meeting rooms, as well as the accommodations, overall. The missed opportunity was when we were all looking for a place to sit (as a group) for lunch. The patio was open, but with the air temp around 60 degrees and a breeze, we really needed the heaters on and, maybe, the fire pit. Good place to stay, though, otherwise.

AJ B.

Yelp
My out-of-state coworkers stayed at the archer during the recent visit so I got to experience the luxury that is the Archer! Have a great bar a great selection of drinks, including zero proof cocktails! There's lots of great decor from the chandelier, to the mural, to the star ceiling in the bar! This place is so elegantly decorated. The rooms are also amazingly spacious, with the suites having full bathtubs and great patio views, my guests always enjoy staying here! I love grabbing a drink here!

Steve W.

Yelp
This review is about this hotel as a gathering/ meeting place for company meetings, not an overnight stay. Our company leased out their largest upstairs conference rooms for an event. They catered breakfast tacos for the morning and a full Tex-Mex buffet for lunch. Both presentations were well laid out and very tasty as the photos included depict. Here are some facts concerning their conference rooms. The largest room is 4100 ft.² and total indoor and outdoor square footage is 19,250 sqft. They can handle group sizes from 10 to 400 with 300 seated banquet spaces. If you want to spend the night at this hotel, rates start at about $250 a night. There are three venues on the second floor, each divided by a retractable wall which can be opened to encompass all three rooms into a grande ballroom venue. The food, the service, the feeling, the vibe along with the open architecture, made this a desirable venue. Definitely a great place for a company gathering or wedding reception especially since it has such a large outdoor patio overlooking the street below. There are a couple of other smaller meeting rooms on the other side of the hotel as well. I was told that the rental of these gathering spaces start at $500 a day and go up from there. There is also a large parking garage directly next door to the hotel. If I had to find fault with anything, it would be that the temperature in the largest banquet hall seemed a little too warm, but then again it was July. https://archerhotel.com/austin

Yelp
The Archer is a great place to stay, but their brunch is overlooked. There are a lot of competitors to be sure. But they spin on classics and develop their own creations and pastries with a wonderful bar to back it all up. Great surroundings with fantastic service. Really an oasis in the hectic Domaine

Elizabeth V.

Yelp
Clean rooms. Helpful and attentive staff and helped make my hubbys bday special with little extras. Has house car service to and from the soccer stadium, making travel to and from easy. Would stay again!

Julie B.

Yelp
Love staying here, been here before and glad we came back. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Very accommodating, the valet staff was great too! I recommend this place to my friends and to anyone looking for a nice place to stay while visiting Austin. Will come back again, even our child gave them 10 stars, handwritten to the staff!

Bryan D.

Yelp
We've wanted to stay here since they opened. The Domain is a fun area with lovely people and their families living around fun experiences. The Archer is one of those experiences. The building is impressive, with a comfortable lobby and great rooms. We had a balcony room with a fireplace...outside! The large tub and spacious shower were in the open format room. Amazing. What brought the Archer to the top of the list of my favorite Austin stays is the people. We had plans to go to a nearby restaurant and use the hotel shuttle. The shuttle was not available at the scheduled time, so they ordered an Uber to make sure my wife and I could make our dinner reservations. The following day a manager checked to ensure we were pleased and that we had made it home safely. Excellent rooms, food and staff. We will stay here many more times.

Christopher W.

Yelp
I've stayed here twice now and have not had good experiences. I've encountered multiple rude members of the staff, I've been hung up on multiple times, ive noticed the beds weren't properly clean and had a bunch of little hairs on them. Just appalling stuff. One night, I called and asked when the pool closes and was told it closes at 11, it was 6PM when I called and asked. When I went to the pool it was open, but when I stepped out for a moment to use the restroom a member of the staff had locked the pool behind me. Room service never answered the phone when I called, despite the fact that I went down to the restaurant and saw first hand that there were staff members available to answer my calls. I even called from downstairs to check and watched as the staff just ignored my call. I ended up ordering food in person and the staff was once again quite rude, giving me a bad attitude for reasons I can't understand. Overall, I can't in good conscience recommend this place.

Alex S.

Yelp
Another fabulous visit at the Archer. For years I've been staying here when I visit for work/time with friends. The hotel is artfully decorated, incredibly clean with nice amenities. The staff always strike the balance of kindness and professionalism - highly recommend

Kara M.

Yelp
We decided to stay at the Archer for our wedding night, and it did not disappoint. We did have to switch rooms at first, though, due to our original room facing Rock Rose Avenue and catching the bass sounds of all the bars until 2am, so just be wary about that if you're a light sleeper or have trouble falling asleep. Once they were able to accommodate us and switch us to a different room, everything was smooth from there! The building is beautiful and the restaurant attached, Second Bar + Kitchen, is delicious. The rooms are modern and spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are well stocked and the showers are nice. My favorite things were the daily sweets/treats left for us: Bakery Lorraine macarons and Sugarfina peach tea gummy bears (+ the classic salted caramels). They also included robes and his and hers slippers in each room, which was cute! Service was as expected - the front desk hosts were polite and the valet guys were efficient. Be wary that valet costs $30/day, on top of your room charge (a bit insane to me considering the Domain is packed with free garage parking literally everywhere, but I guess if you value that extra service). With your room stay you do get a 1-time $25 credit to the restaurant, which, if you go during happy hour 3-6pm, you can easily order everything on the menu for a steal! Overall, it was a nice stay and we both enjoyed it. I'd love to go back sometime for another special occasion and get a suite.

Sarah G.

Yelp
Extremely disappointed in the level of customer service at check in. Someone else made our booking, so when we presented our card, we let them know it was just for incidentals and to charge the card at booking for the room, but they would not do this. They said it was because the card used at booking could be fraudulent? It made zero sense. Apparently you have to jump through hoops and get someone to fill out a pre authorization form to do this. My name was on the reservation. It's like they were accusing me of using a stolen card to make the reservation because I didn't have that card on me. Mind you, the person who made the reservation shared my last name! Like come on. This policy is not clear at booking so just an FYI to anyone else who may find themselves in a similar situation. Updating to add that the towels are scratchy and they do not have in room entertainment. They have a minibar, but it's not big enough of a fridge to hold anything else. The pillows are very soft - they sink down immediately upon laying on them. The soak tub looks cool, but they don't include shampoo and conditioner- that is only located in the shower through a dispenser. Noise. It's not great. We could hear the bars and cars until 2/2:30. Then we had the unfortunate experience of staying next to some people who continued the party till after 3 at a very loud level. The walls are paper thin - the rooms have very poor insulation. You will hear everything! All this is to say, I don't think this hotel is worth the price point. The amenities and customer service is lacking and unless you are here to party, it doesn't make for a very peaceful stay.

JayJay L.

Yelp
Great location for business meetings. In The Domain, lots of restaurant options and high end shops.

Liz C.

Yelp
The Archer Hotel provided the perfect getaway for our anniversary weekend! The staff from the front desk to the valet service was professional and friendly! The hotel was very clean and had a great ambiance and atmosphere! The fitness room had all of the equipment that we needed and was extremely clean and organized! Overall everything was amazing!

Joe B.

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous hotel, great service, full bar/restaurant, rooms were very nice and super clear views from the 7th floor. Really nice sheets, topped bed, welcome snacks, candy and water and most of all VERY walkable to fun bars, retail stores, and activities. Highly recommend and worth the cost premium! Pay for what you get here! Staff did an incredible job catering and setting up all accommodations for all day meetings and breakout rooms too. Really yummy food on site.

Dan L.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel. I highly recommend this beautiful place. Remember you get what you pay for. Customer service is five star.

Shakita T.

Yelp
The staff is so friendly and the venue is modern and upscale vibe without the excessive cost. The bartender Joe is AMAZING! Knows his cocktails and how to engage with his customers.

Noreen B.

Yelp
You must eat at AKB. Had the avocado toast and side salad, cowboy plate, breakfast pizza and salmon poke bowl. Everything was beautifully prepared and delicious. Kenneth was our server - extraordinarily knowledgeable, fast and friendly. Awesome vibe.

Rachel W.

Yelp
Great hotel to stay in for business meetings in the Domain. Clean stylish rooms and great amenities. Never got to visit the pool or rooftop deck. I will have to check it out next visit. And this hotel is located right next to Nordstrom!!

Torie M.

Yelp
A quick staycation led us to find this great hotel in a perfect location at the Domain. We were pleasantly upgraded to a king suite for my birthday and surprised with Sprinkles cupcakes from the hotel. The hotel is gorgeous- well maintained and modern. We spent the day at the pool, which had several sports events playing on the big screen. We absolutely loved lounging in the pool and watching tv all day. Drinks and food from their restaurant were excellent. We would easily stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel!

Jens B.

Yelp
Staycation? Absolutely choice location. The job had a "Kick-Off" meeting here in late February. Although we live in the city, I thought why not just spend a couple of days at the hotel, rather than driving the 18 miles back home. I knew we wanted to venture out, have some fun and be up late. The Domain itself, I will need to review, so I will chat about the hotel itself. What a afab stay. Two things make up a great stay. The staff and the hotel itself. The hotel is beautifully appointed. We had a king suite with a balcony, which for the first time ever, was bigger than the pictures on their website. Patio was plenty big to have a few friends over to hang out for cocktails, before venturing out into the Domain. The room had everything thing we could think of needing. Very comfy bed and pillows. Coolio bathroom fixtures. Comfy bathrobe, slippers and coffee machine thingy. Big ol telly, neat belt/leather wall fixture behind bed. Quiet at night. Wifi worked all the time. I am not sure that there is anyting missing here at all. Several places to have a drink and munchies as well as din din. 2nd Bar Kitchen had a menu that suited our tastes and a bar area which we found difficult to leave to go out. Our conference facilities were on point. They served us a working lunch which was dope. Great service in such a somewhat tight set up, companies fault not the hotels. It was early spring, so some areas were not open, which makes sense, like pool area. It did look incredibly inticing. It has a very well thought out lobby area with a nook here and there, a grand staircase and posh meeting rooms with all the new tech stuff. Staff. Excellent. You know it has to be a bit hard to wait/serve folks who are happy and relaxed since they are NOT working. Or unreasonable folks who think they invented water. They get all of that. Me, I'm a bit nuts and carefree. The joker if you will. Everyone who came in contact with the wife and I were fun. They could read us well and had fun with us. Very personal and not fake. Young bartender guy in the lobby bar, was the son of some High School friends from the late 70's in Austin. Incredibly knowledable about the menu, I believe he is the son of Chef Scruggs from Austin, friendly but not in our face trying to be our friend. Front desk folks, quick, efficient and helpful. Remembered little things about our conversation when we checked in and checked with us when they saw us out and about. Everyone seemed to want to be there, even if they were working. Job done Archer. As soon as the world get's back to some assemblance of normalacy, we will be booking a long weekend again. Top job guys....

Donna S.

Yelp
We went here for a girlfriends birthday on Tuesday! We had an amazing suite and it had all of the amenities that anyone would need! It was super swanky!! It had a wraparound balcony, a bathtub for 4 and shower for a while family! A kitchen complete with coupe glasses!! What?! There was a Bluetooth speaker, and the living area was amazing!! I would definitely go back!! We had about 10 ladies in the suite celebrating and dancing! It was plenty big!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
First time visiting Austin and I've got to come back to the Archer next time I'm in town. All of the hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Amanda at the front desk was awesome! The hotel is very modern and stunning. The lobby has two fireplaces and around the corner there is a restaurant/bar area. The room was incredible. Bathroom was large and had everything including robes and slippers! In the room on the desk by the tv they are sweet enough to leave you two bottles of complimentary Fiji water and mini Bundt cakes and sweets. I was amazed! They have a mini fridge stocked with drinks and snacks. There's also a coffee machine. Oh and even some alcoholic beverages! All around amazing experience and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Austin! :-)

Justin A.

Yelp
This was an amazing beautiful hotel that is a blend of luxury and artsy feel of Austin. From the entrance with the grand chandelier to the room art painting and complimentary water and candy, the hotel was super nice. The room was super clean with very nice bathroom and shower slippers. The bed was super comfy and the sheets/comforter were of high class. Overall, it was a great experience. It is pricey but if you want to try the experience, i think it worthwhile. PS: the restaurant and bar in the lobby served room service and were stellar. It is near all the local shopping and restaurants in the area so be sure to check the places out.

Brittany B.

Yelp
Beautifully appointed boutique hotel with luxe features and accommodations! They have one dining option, a small boutique hang-out pool with TVs and seating area as well as outdoor bar service (this wasn't open while we were there since it's early in the season but they said you can order dining and they'll bring to you at poolside), and a fitness area. We didn't partake in pool or gym, but they looked lovely. The room had very nice bedding, mattress was comfy, room was spacious. We were upgraded to a double king (we booked a double queen) by GM Rick, which was very kind! Water pressure was great, rooms were very clean, everything was well kept. They provide robes and complimentary slippers. Room had a Nespresso machine which was delicious, and complimentary bottled water. They also had a fully stocked bar and snacks for purchase. I gave 5 stars because I believe they deserve it, my only complaint would be that the AC didn't stay on or go down to what we had it set on, so my partner and I kept waking up hot in the middle of the night (we're hot sleepers and like it cold at night). If they could adjust/fix this it'd be a home run for us! Definitely would stay again!

Yelp
Went to the Archer Hotel to try their appetizer menu. The hostess suggested street corn and it was phenomenal! Service was incredible and the hotel is gorgeous!

Yelp
A shining start in the hospitality field.. the Archer Hotel is a full service upscale retreat located right on the edge of the bustling north side Domain. So there are lots of food and shopping options all within walking distance. Literally you would not have to lift a finger from the time you drive up to the time you leave. Valet parking, they will bring your bags up, they turn down your bed, they will bring you just about anything you want while staying here, and then when you're ready to go they will load it all back in for you! The rooms range from a normal hotel room, to a suite, to a deluxe with a four post bed and a luxury tub, to full on living room and bedroom options. All that I saw was lush luxury everywhere. The pool is on the second floor and must be cooled as it was pleasant even with every day having been well over 100 degrees lately. It wasn't bath water... it as refreshing. It is not a huge pool but it is a great place to kick back and relax while watching the game on their huge screen TV! There are cabanas, umbrellas and plenty of lounge chairs; just about any option. There is even a full bar and food selections... the spicy salami pizza was the bomb diggity! Literally... you want ice in your cup... they'll get it, order food... they'll bring it, need the umbrella adjusted... they will do it. A truly great way to spend a day! They even have a pretty nice restaurant right in the lobby... but that is a different review. A great stay, with wonderful amenities, the Archer will satisfy your need for relaxation and pampering!

Yelp
Pros: The hotel was clean and the rooms are comfortable. Location convenient to the Domain if you want to walk to Whole Foods, restaurants and shops, but requires a drive to get to downtown Con: While staff was nice to my face, a handful of us checked into the hotel after the check in time within a span of 3 hours. I and my non-white colleague had the lower floor rooms while our 4 white colleagues had higher floors and one had an upgrade (we were all at the Archer for the first time). I am a Marriott Titanium status member with status at Hyatt and Hilton and travel constantly for work worldwide, this may just be a coincidence but it didn't sit well among any of us when we found out who had the higher floors and upgrade. Will take our business elsewhere in the future

Yelp
In the Domain, this was a perfect setting for our company event. Modern decor, excellent beverage service, and the food was really well made. Hotel food - NOT! The upscale setting and proximity to parking and venues is a perfect mix. Valet is available.

Yelp
I have booked two room for two nights, 511 and 515 on 11/23 and 11/24. The first night we were awoken at 4:00 am to 6:30 am by dumpsters emptying trash cans I believe, which was a loud banging noise that kept us up in both rooms. Now tonight, its 1:00am and we are all wide awake as we listen to blaring music from the bars. We have stayed here before, but we will NEVER EVER come back!!!! This noise is atrocious!! We had hoped to be able to get at least a few hours of sleep, but this is down right miserable to listen to a rave happening next to our windows. I guess we will go back to Hotel Zaza downtown where we can get some peace and quiet. I never expected a downtown hotel to be more peaceful than out of the city. This was a huge mistake and a total waste of money. No one wants to hear beating music all night when trying to fall asleep and to pay $1000 for it is absurd. This is not a place to sleep, but a place to endure torture!!!! Horrible!!!!!! I am losing my mind listening to this awful crap!!!! NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!

Yelp
We were visiting my son who lives close by the Domain and decided to stay at the Archer hotel in North Domain. The hotel is close by Nordstrom's, Apple store, and Sprinkle cupcakes. On the side of the hotel is the valet and basically drop-off and pick-up. As you walk in the lobby it's basically connected to restaurant Second Bar + Kitchen. The front desk is basically three different stalls. Very nice. They took a little while to get me checked into my two rooms but it was fine. The security at this hotel is very good. On the elevator, you have to scan your room key in order to go up to the room floors. The halls are very clean and kept up very well. The room is very nice. Not big and we had a king size bed. Very modern room with a long desk table and a long bed bench. The bathroom is nice with lot of sink space. The shower is very nice. Very roomy with a shower bench. They turn down you bed at night and leaves little treats on your desk table. We got little cookies, little muffins, and even chocolate one night. Everything is great. The halls are very quiet but the only problem is the noise level during the night. We were on the seventh floor and you assume it's nice and quiet but when we went to bed we could here low levels of music being played til 2am. Found out that the music is from a bar close by. So it takes a little while to get used it but finally got to sleep. Stayed there three nights and every night the music was playing. Check-out is only by the front desk but other than the music being played at night then it's a pretty good place to stay. Very convenient and lots of things to do around the hotel. Not sure we will stay there again but we will see. Enjoy

Yelp
Excellent hotel! We decided to stay here during a trip to Austin and it was lovely! From the moment we checked in to the whimsical slippers in the room to the tasty treats each day to a smooth check out, it was a pleasure to stay here. We enjoyed the pool with the texas star as well. The hotel is gorgeous, and the rooms were clean, neat and elegant. Service excellent, and great location, with a starbucks reserve across the street.

Yelp
This hotel staff is the best in Texas. we went the year before COVID and was blown away. I am taking my whole family again this year. They are amazing.

Yelp
So...welcome winter storm 2021 - goodbye power and water at my house. I was anxious at first because of no heat/power but when we lost water I started looking online for a place to stay. I called and the Archer was up front about not having power in rooms but had running water and generators running downstairs power/charging stations. I made a reservation and showed up to the most gracious staff working. Every single person from the valet to the front desk staff have been wonderful & kind. I know they are going through it themselves having lost power at their own homes, and are still showing up for us staying at the hotel. I've stayed at this hotel in normal non-COVID, non winter storm times and have loved each stay, but this one will stick with me. Archer - thank you for the kindness through these horrible times. Your humility and attitude will not be forgotten, I'll be back for all of my special celebrations!

Yelp
Trendy and fun boutique hotel Stayed in the Archer in the Domain area for a few days, on a business trip. It was a good stay. Conference facilities aren't large, but are modern, quiet, and well-designed. The food was very good and service staff were all friendly. The location is away from downtown and the airport, but the Domain is a trendy area. The rooms are very comfortable-- quiet, awesome bed, and seem super clean. They are a tad smaller, have modern art touches, and the showers have room for three. The room staffs were especially friendly. One extra nice touch is that the Archer left me gifts of dessert each night. So, the are totally high on my list, now. Bottom line: Great service and staff, plus nightly mini-desserts. A+

Yelp
Great hotel in a cool area! Service good! Clean! New! (As of Oct 2017- Hotel was 24 months old) Rooms were pretty cool- I hear they are all pretty different. My friend had a huge tub and balcony. I had 2 king beds, no balcony, and a shower. Pool area was a bit disappointing- small pool, no hot tub. Though they did have some outdoor fireplaces going- which would be nice to enjoy in the evening.

Yelp
Julian at the front desk is amazing!!! We're visiting from California for a girl's trip coming up in July 2021. We wanted to get connecting rooms to commemorate the special trip. Julian was so sweet in helping us make it happen! Thank you so much Julian! Can't wait to meet you in person when we check in . You've already made us feel good about the hotel we chose!

Yelp
Our daughter goes to UT. Between visits to the school, parent weekends, and soccer tournaments prior that we have spent several nights in Austin hotels. They have all been mediocre at best, but all pretty expensive. The Archer is now our favorite. It is a nice property in a good location. We did have a couple of complaints. The pillows are not great. They are way too soft. The Second Bar + Kitchen restaurant is very good (see separate review). However, the last day of our stay we tried to eat breakfast. We entered a mostly empty dining room and were told we would have a 20 minute wait because they only had one server. I don't like to beat people up for staffing issues right now, but it was the way is was handled. The solution by the staff was to send us to another restaurant around the corner.

Yelp
Stayed for the weekend. Room service food was not great. Biggest problem however. Noise until 2 am. Don't accept a room on the South side of the hotel; odd numbered rooms. This faces the Domain's entertainment district which blasts music until 2 am. Not sure if North side is better but can't be worse. Hotel is clearly poorly insulated from a sound perspective. Unless you're going to go out every night until at least 2 am, stay somewhere else.

Yelp
Modern rustic with all the personal touches. This is by far the best hotel experience I've ever had--and tied as my fav hotel of all time. They did it all seamlessly... friendly welcome by staff, efficient check-in and check-out, crisply contemporary room & amenities, thorough knowledge of the local scene, engaging art and comfortable lounges, pool with a view, a well-stocked gym, and my favorite part... a new, locally-made treat left in your room every afternoon. The Archer's location in the Domain makes it an amazing place for travelers to stay... you're within walking distance of several amazing restaurants, shops, & in the middle of several "blocks" of beautiful open spaces where people walk around & gather. Yet somehow, when you're in the hotel, you feel away from it all. I'm rating this hotel at 5, but would give it a 4.5 if I could. The reasons: the restaurant's food is good not exceptional, and enough of the nightlight shines through the translucent glass bathroom door that the room will never reach pitch black... a sore problem for those who require such a space to sleep well while traveling.

Yelp
If I could give them 10 stars I would. I LOVED this hotel. Let me say it one more time, LOVED this hotel. Beautifully decorated from the entrance, to the lobby, to the rooms. Kind of a Texan Cowboy theme but very modern at the same time. The staff here definitely try their best to go over and beyond expectations and are both super friendly and helpful. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the rain showers are awesome. They give you a free pair of slippers to take home with you, and a different locally made small dessert (and very yummy) every night during the turn down service. This is THE hotel you have to stay at while in Austin. Tons of restaurants and shopping in the Domain, and about a 15 min drive to downtown. We did have 2 small issues during our stay. When you book directly you are suppose to get an Archer Card good for $20 off any purchase in the hotel. For some reason I did not get mine while checking in, however when I asked about it the next day I was given one with no questions asked. We also did not have a fridge in our room, much to the amazement of front desk staff. After notifying them on this I had a knock on my door with in 10 minutes with a fridge for my room. Both issues were quickly and very professionally handled that it would give me no pause when booking here for my next trip.

Yelp
My wife and I just gave birth to our beautiful daughter at the St. David's Women's Hospital that's right by the Domain. Our daughter was in the NICU and we were being discharged while she would still be at the hospital. Due to COVID we were also only allowed one parent at a time to visit, and with us living in Pflugerville, it would have been a long drive to visit and exhausting. We decided to book at this hotel since it was the closest to the hospital and got the cheapest room we could find close to the elevator since my wife was still recovering. When we got to the hotel everyone was very hospitable and kind even though we did not look our best. When the man at the front desk asked how we were doing, all we could say was tired and briefly explained we were needing to go back and forth to the hospital for our daughter. He clearly showed his kindness and empathy and gave us our room key. When we got to our room, it was not anything we were expecting at all. From the pictures we saw on their website, we were expecting a small room with a big enough bed for my wife and I to rest comfortably. Instead we were given one of the hotels King Suites with a great view, fireplace on the porch, massive living area and TV, and comfortable king size bed. We thought we made a mistake when we ordered our room, so my wife called the front desk to explain that there may have been a mistake, to which the front desk said we were upgraded but paying the price for their smaller room. It was the nicest and most unexpected thing we ever received and helped keep our minds clear of the hurt and pain we've been feeling with our daughter at the hospital. We only stayed two nights there and even though we weren't at the hotel long by going back and forth, we were given great service and hospitality from the entire staff! Our daughter is home with us now and is 100% happy and healthy. I wish we got the name of the man working the front desk on November 23rd at around 7pm, but because of him, he lifted our spirits on a weekend that had been very emotional for my wife and I. For that I say thank you!

Yelp
Beautiful property. Amazing amenities. Stayed here recently for a birthday staycation, and I seriously wish I'd done it much sooner during this quarantine. I had serious reservations about staying in a hotel during the current pandemic crisis. However, upon arrival all those concerns I had quickly disappeared. Social distancing in the common areas (signs on the floor for reminders), hand sanitizer stations throughout the property, as well as signs near and inside the elevators to remind you of the 2 person limit. All staff members were observing the mask order. I still traveled with lysol wipes to wipe down door handles, light switches (and other touch points in my room)--however that was for my peace of mind...lol Walking into the lobby with the gorgeous chandelier and staircase is quite the first impression. Front desk staff were courteous, informative about the hotel policies, and amenity hours, and very welcoming. I was upgraded to suite for my birthday which was a nice surprise! The room itself is modern and every comfortable. I had to google to find out what the mattress was on my bed because it was *that* amazing. Cute slippers, cozy robes, stocked mini bar, luxury toiletries--all nice touches. Had a few minor issues with items in my room, however the staff came right up and took care of those. Every one who I encountered at the Archer were top notch! The pool and pool patio was very relaxing. I spent a great deal of time out there, and while I missed the hours that the poolside bar was open I know that it only would have added to my experience. You almost forget you're right in the middle of the Domain. This hotel was a five star experience. Sadly, I can only give 4 stars due to the onsite dining option which I'll review on their page. It was truly the only thing that kept this from being a perfect experience. Thanks so much for the getaway. See y'all again sometime soon!
