Now the brewery is busting into the higher tiers with limited release beers like Cold Smoke smoked lager and the Simply Sticky West Coast IPA, thanks to its talented head brewer Justin Ramirez. The space is really cool, they did a great job of refurbishing an old steel factory. I liked how they used the machinery to create furniture. The service at the bar was exceptional, he shook my hand when I got there and remembered my name which was appreciated. The beers were pretty average. I tried 4 - none were bad, but none made me want to drive the 10 miles out of the city to get them again.

Google
Good brewery! This is a review of Arches reflecting on the old and new space. Beer is always good; only four options at time of visit…a lager, Pilsner, ESB, and a stout. They also had a kombucha and a seltzer on tap as well as two guest tap IPAs. Options-wise the place is a shell of its former self until they get all the permits to complete the taproom. I was told there would be the possibility to have up to 26 beers on tap at once. Permits taking longer than expected, but it’s sounding like a December-January taproom opening is possible if all goes well. Otherwise, there will be fire pits and prepare to dress warm for the beer garden. The beer garden itself has benches and chairs and a good amount of seating. Food menu looked ample but didn’t ordering anything this time. Two toilets in the brewing facility but you currently order out of a trailer at the moment. Staff were friendly and personable. Update: The taproom is now open. Place has a nice mojo and ambience inside. Staff were very personable. Only four Arches beers on tap at the moment, all recognizable names, and everything was enjoyable. Place was very quiet, but there’s plenty of time for more foot traffic as the weather warms up.

Google
Yes , the vibe is the thing. And the beer is top notch: recommend Mexican Empire & Golden Hour. Heard great things about Lloyd’s Light but will have to try it next time. Beer garden with live music on Saturday was a joy. Props to Beauregard (Higgins) and the Downright, I love the reggae beat and his originals are A+ songs. Families with kids and a tasty Chicas Burris food truck complete the scene. Wonderful, friendly spot.

Google
A little gem. Great, laidback atmosphere with delicious sandwiches and beer. Perfect for a Saturday afternoon.

Google
A pleasant, little local brewery overall, having taken over an older strip space near the interstate. Pros: love the rotating art; the closest brewery to ATL Airport; friendly staff. Cons: no food / limited bar snacks; drinkable but forgettable beer; far fewer parking spaces than seats. I'll still be back. Hopeful for their growth/future.

Google
We gave it a second chance as the last time we were here the beer was warm and there was a problem. Today there was 8 of us sitting enjoying our beer and the manager asked us to move our cars. The place we moved to said that it was valet for an event and cost to park. Moved to the next spot in front of residential and they said no parking there. Left and will not be back. On to the Hanger. Bad, bad management.

Google
The vibe here is 🔥🔥🔥 You can sit in the outside area in the back of the brewery. It's a nice setup, they have amazing beer selections. I'm going back next weekend to try the flights. I ordered share the love and my girlfriend ordered the Mexican empire. She's not much of a beer drinker so I ended up drinking hers as well 🤣. Definitely looking forward to going back and buying some merch as well!

Google
Great place. In old industrial building. Probably one of the funkiest. Good beer and food. Friendly bartender. Definitely worth a stop.

Yelp
I've been to Arches two times and both visits were awesome! The staff seems to be able to hold a conversation on every topic. They make ordering beer fun! During my most recent visit I had a trilogy of greatness. First was their West Coast IPA, Retrospect. The blend of hops, to include Amarillo, Comet, Chinook, and Cascade make this a hoppy, yet very approachable IPA with a smooth finish and earthy flavors. Next was the Winter's Night, a Munich Dunkle. Dunkles are awesome and this beer holds up its end of that adjective. While dark, it is very light on the palette. You will taste a bit of chocolate and just a bit of that German bitterness beer lovers enjoy. Finally, I had a pint of Frank the Freak, an American IPA. While crafted like an IPA, this beer is nothing short of interesting. You will not only smell mint, but get just a tad of it on the finish. The main flavor is that of Fruity Pebbles. That's right, the famous breakfast cereal. I'm not sure if they include Fruity Pebbles in the mash but they certainly came up with the familiar flavor. I highly recommend this neighborhood brewery, especially on Thursdays if you enjoy karaoke.

Yelp
New location in East Point. Wow, what a great group of servers:-) Joseph is so fun and witty. Love the new outdoor space! Can't wait for the renovation on the indoor space at Atlanta Utility Works and Cultured South.

Yelp
I am a super big fan of this place, being the only brewery in the area, it is such a great set up. They have their own parking as well as a back outside area, brew their beer on site, and have rotating art shows. One of the super cool things about this place is their movie night, with tons of great movies sometimes doing double features. It is absolutely perfect for a meet up with friends or a date night. They have tons of board games and huge long tables for people to hang out and enjoy their night and spend a few hours around. There are plenty of styles of beer for anyone who doesn't know much about beer like myself. They don't serve food, but they do have beer pretzels for sale, and sometimes they have a food cart/truck for some dinner, just check out their calendar to know what they have going on! We bought some artwork and are so excited to be able to bring it home and hang it up!

Yelp
Love this place!!! Great local beer selection, optional indoor vs outdoor seating, with fire pits outside! Sometimes they have a band and yummy food trucks, and that's cool too! The beer tenders are usually very friendly and eager to help patrons make the best selection, which I sincerely enjoy. Also somewhat kid friendly, I see families bringing their children, so keep that in mind if looking for an adult oriented space.

Yelp
Arches is a brewery near the airport in the quaint neighborhood of Hapeville. They actually have a pretty good big patio space and I went on a Friday for their weekly movie night. The main hall has a screen abt 70-80 inches projected and we saw total recall. The space is big and had popcorn and candy for The movie experience. The beers left some To be desired and were too bitter for my taste but enjoyed the hazy ipa. Parking is on the common lot or at the montisseri school

Yelp
Ugh! Ugh so I hate hate hate when this happens. Their beer is phenomenal but their service and their people skills kind of suck. And what people or business people really don't know is a lot of times people come in for the company and not really the product. And with this scenario, it's the opposite their fear is phenomena kind of the best. but the person who helped me didn't say agreed and didn't offer. It's not like this guy was shy and didn't talk to anybody else. He just didn't have customer service. But he had a perfectly fine conversation with his coworker, and was laughing and even act like I was there.
google avatar

Tara R.

Yelp
I stopped here for a beer prior to going to the airport. The bartender was super friendly. There was several arts vendors in the space next door which was nice to browse. I had the Moment in Time Hazy IPA. I really enjoyed the beer and would have had more should I have had more time. I enjoyed spending some time in the well decorated tap room.

Yelp
I remember when Arches first opened up and I was excited to visit... only to find out that it was in HAPEVILLE. We were in the area (and not going to the airport for once) so we decided to stop in and try a beer or two). There is a HUGE outdoor backyard, is all I can think to call it. Definitely great for social distancing since all the tables are well over 6 feet apart. My one complaint was the mosquitos... but they offered a bottle of bug spray per table, which I have never seen and I am all here for it. I tried the Low Viz, which was described as a New England IPA. It was pretty light and easy drinking, slightly hoppy and dry but still citrusy. Not my favorite type of IPA but not bad - especially when I'm trying to cool down in the summer heat. I'll have to come again and visit now that places are re-opening - maybe I'll be able to sit inside soon, although if the weather is nice, I may venture outside again and weather the mosquitos.

Yelp
Cool place, they have movies on Friday nights. It was a nice area, cool back area and lived to see the vendor for the day was this Mexican owned business with tacos and street corn and that's just delightful when you're having a good beer. Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Arches Brewing was a great find!!! We visited late on a Friday night, about an hour before closing. We were a little nervous because we walked in and felt like we had the brewery all to ourselves. Maybe the crowds had stayed away because they were out shopping for the upcoming Christmas holiday. Either way, we were happy to be safe and try some beers out. We ordered the Chocolate Milk Stout and the Black IPA. The friendly bartender let us know that there was an outdoor space that we should check out, all we had to do is walk through the brewery. We made our way to the back, opened the door, and were blown away by all the space out back. They had a small wooden stage, many picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, and fire pits galore. We settled in next to one of the fires. It was a dark, beautiful night, we had the fire all to ourselves. We were feeling like kings. We toasted to a good night and we took a sip. I was immediately blown away by the flavor and mouthfeel of my milk stout. It was so happy with my choice. And then I tried the Black IPA and I was equally impressed with it. If I closed my eyes and took a sip and I would have never known the darkness of the beer. It was so good. As we enjoyed the well brewed beers we admired the craftsmanship of the fire pits. We were greeted by an employee of the connecting business. It was called S & S Fire pits, yup, you guessed it.....they hand crafted all the fire pits that we were surrounded by. What an amazing thing for a brewery to share space with a hand crafted fire pit company! And then to have all those beautiful fire pits throughout the backyard providing heat and ambiance. I was so happy that we choose Arches as the brewery that we visited while passing through Atlanta.

Yelp
The beer is good! The venue is great! Whenever we are south of town this is our go to place and we love love love the fire pits. Yea we bought one too. Lately they have had a kind of mobile kitchen serving food. They serve Mexican food. I am an ipa girl and arches delivers! Everyone is really nice and the outdoor area is dog friendly with plenty of social distanced seating.

Yelp
Yūeri please. I believe I've found a new draft that's light and fruity. So happy they offer this by the case. Movie and beer night is alway a cure for a nothing Friday night. Grab a friend or head out solo; but go enjoy a pint and cool company. Be sure to tip your bartenders and have that Uber app updated.

LaWanda N.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our time at the brewery. It's a really cute, quaint spot....super cute! The beer garden is huge, and could accommodate several food trucks. They also played a throwback movie! We were allowed to take a tour and we're informed about the brewing process. I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

John K.

Yelp
Awesome brewery really close to the airport in Atlanta. If you have a long layover at ATL, it's a great place to catch a quick Uber and enjoy a craft brew worth enjoying. The set up of the brewery is super tight and the staff is very friendly. It'll throw you off with the location pretty much in a rough neighborhood, but don't let that fool ya. Enjoy the brews and the atmosphere.

Yelp
Great space, nice people, very good beer. My only issue was the price of the beer is not listed anywhere I could find in the restaurant. I did find later you can look the prices up online. I ordered a Miss Mary from the bar. Ended up having 2 pints. When I got the bill it was over $30, turns out Miss Mary is $16 a pint. This is the most expensive pint of beer I have ever ordered (including ordering in a swanky bar in Manhattan). Absolutely ridiculous. $40 with tip and tax for 2 beers. Will come back if the prices become competitive.

Yelp
Great beer, angry server, great beer... this place does it right. FIVE stars! I'll be back...

Yelp
Great spot! I attended a Girl Scout Tasting and Beer Pairing. It was so much fun! Very chill atmosphere with clean lines. Super friendly staff. Excellent outdoor area. Love the art and love that they support local artists.

Yelp
For the first two weeks in Atlanta this was our home brewery and what a cute little venue. Right next to a place which sells metal fire pits. The back yard was nice to hang out with lots of seating. Kids can play around with our parents worrying about speedy traffic. On the walls inside there was art from a local artist who drew very nice birds. The Hazy IPA is has fantastic taste.

Erin H.

Yelp
I'll start by saying I REALLY like the beer at Arches. They do a great job with their brews. Hence the three stars. HOWEVER, the last three times I've tried to come enjoy a beer here they've been closed during their open hours without a sign on the door or any updated information on their socials. I will say...the first time it happened, there were brewers in the back who ended up letting us in and serving us a beer. We thought it would be a one-time thing because things do happen...but with the second and third time...we are hesitant to return without calling first.

Jacob B.

Yelp
Awesome. Beer was great and the owner very friendly. Highly recommend. The atmosphere was super chill and warm, very inviting.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is so awesome! They are connected to a custom fire pit shop called S&S fire pits. They have an awesome back of house area where you can play different games and enjoy a beer. It is super family friendly and is definitely a gathering spot for the locals. I come here to have a beer as often as I can. It's such an awesome little south side brewery with great tasting and unique beers. On weekends you can usually catch some live music as well!
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Their beer is brewed on site and they have a pretty big selection. The Belgian white and the IPAs are really good!

Yelp
Awesome experience on opening day with fantastic weather and lots of beer fans. I met up with a Kwame and Michelle's excellent beer UYE on Arches Brewing opening day. I enjoyed several lower ABV brews outside before taking on a very excellent Belgian Tripel. Once you get into the tour there's a list of higher ABV brews which are well worth trying. I used my two tokens on the Belgian IPA at 10% ABV but also tasted the Smoked Belgian Quad at 11% and the Belgian Golden Ale. All were quite good - I wish I was able to sample the Russian Imperial Stout - maybe next time. Arches is a small batch brewer that apparently started on someones porch - they're upgrading to larger vats but for now it's still made on a comparatively small scale - I liked this beer quite a bit as it's the closest I've found to my buddy Paul F's home brew. Delicious and very clean. On the tour one of the partners (the Chemist) explained that they like to start with water profiles that most closely matched those found in the world where the recipe is from - for instance, matching the chemical content and pH of the region in Ireland that brews Irish ales, to most accurately produce something you might have while visiting that region. Pretty geeky stuff and right up my ally. In all we had a great time - my only wish was that I would have been able to taste everything they had available - alas the 6 tokens went fast. My only complaint is the nature of the tour and reservations to time-slots as I would have preferred coming in earlier (but the tickets for the earlier times were already sold out) - just a quibble. I'm sure things will settle down once they're operation is up and running in larger batches and they're doing regular tour dates past the grand opening.

Yelp
Awesome brewery, the beer was super good and I highly recommend the Queen's Weiss!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Good variety of beers! Plenty of spaced out outdoor tables. You can order on your phone and they will bring your beer out to you. They occasionally have food trucks there too. Also love drag bingo here! You do have to reserve your table ahead of time for drag bingo
google avatar

Lauren O.

Yelp
This place was great and a lot of fun. They have a large outdoor area behind the brewery so that we could have a large picnic table to ourselves. The area out back is well maintained and had a variety for seating options. I also really enjoyed my beer and got some additional ones to take home with me. Thanks.

Yelp
Hapeville is one of my most favorite places "in" the city of Atlanta so I was excited to check out Arches Brewing! Here are my thoughts... Location: Like I said, Hapeville is one of my favorite places and Arches is really close to the main street with lots of great restaurants, etc. There is a good amount of parking out front and what seems like a good amount of street parking available on neighborhood streets nearby. Inside, they have a really nice tap room area with seating (long tables, bar tops, et. al) and outside in the back "yard" they have some picnic tables and yard games available. Service: A-ok! We were greeted when we arrived and the bartender was super friendly -- seems like a really nice crew! Beer: This is why Arches comes in at 3-stars for me. I REALLY REALLY wanted to like their beer, but after trying six of eight available in a flight, there were really only one or two that I think I'd be able to drink more than a taster of. I enjoy a wide variety of beer -- but everything from the Hefeweizen to the IPA just tasted a little.... skunky. Not undrinkable, but I was still disappointed. My two favorites were the Ruckus Red and the Low Viz -- and should I return, I would just pick between these two. Prices: Great bang for your buck! Most 8 oz. pours were available for $3-$4 and the 16 oz. pours were $5-$6. The taster I purchased that gave me the opportunity to try six beers came in a $10.

Yelp
Great brewery with a friendly staff. Seating area indoors is great as well as the wonderful beergarten out back. Very spacious and good for big groups. Good selection of beers and tons of different things to try!

Jorii K.

Yelp
I stopped in after having brunch not too far from here and I enjoyed this place. It was my first time and I came alone but the lady at the front with pink hair was friendly and helped me decide on which flights I wanted to try so I stayed. I came not too much after opening time so they had a few customers but the place is a decent size with indoor and outside seating so I'm sure they welcome larger crowds. The beer was tasty and the music they played was versatile, I'd return. *Bonus* I believe I was seated behind the owner or manager while I was outside enjoying my flights and she was doing some work on her laptop. She seemed very down to earth. Every now and then I saw employees stop by her table and overheard them asking her questions, she answered each of them with the same grace-- kindly, efficiently, and with light repartee. It was nice to see comfortable yet professional interactions amongst management and employees.

Yelp
This place is great. I love that their goal is to create excellent and creative beers in the classic style! Their taproom is simultaneously old and new with a 18th-century industrial feel and local modern art on display. Their beers match the tasteful dichotomy. The have a great pale ale (Equlibrium) and hybrid beer (Southern Bel), as well as a few other classic types such as lagers, pilsners and dubbels. I'm visiting on a long layover from Atlanta, and I would recommend it to anyone with the same, as well as all Atlanta beer connoisseurs. This place has the chops to deliver for those who know and love beer, with the southern hospitality to serve any gratefully. Thanks, Arches Brewing!

Tim B.

Yelp
Great spot. Large outdoor area, local music. The Czech pils is poured authentically. The hazy IPA is tasty without hitting too hard or soft. Nice people serving the beer.
google avatar

Carrie M.

Yelp
Great group of folks! We were in a by wreck trying to turn into the brewery. Once inside, they were quick to make sure we were okay and bought us a round of brews! We loved the atmosphere and variety of beer! We'll be back!
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
I love, love, love this place. Not only because the staff is super cool, not just because they have outdoor seating with pits out back, and it isn't the amazing events and good that they do for the community, it the beer! The beer is fantastic, these guys (and gals!) are brewing some amazing creations. The Nitro Milk Porter is one of the best I've had. Not only the porters, but the Hefeweizen and Southern Bel' is a goto as well. In a time when breweries are hitting us over the head with the latest and greatest IPAs Arches offers a nice variety of brands. Not saying they are not proud of their IPAs, but they have a really good selection for all styles of beer drinkers.

Yelp
Opening day was great. Michelle T and I set up our monthly UYE at Arches Brewing. This is the only Atlanta area brewery located in south Atlanta in downtown Hapeville that really close to the airport. The space used to be a old Napa auto parts store . Limited parking is available next to the building on right . Small beer garden with communal style searing in the back outside with corn hole available for individuals to play. In the front there a nice tasting room with 4-8 beers available for tasting. The beer. Arches brewing currently have three year round beers . The unseasonal lager, Southern bel -A deep Belgian Blonde ale and Standard Pale ale which have a little bit of fruitiness . Seasonal higher ABV or heaver beers they are currently pouring are my favorite the Russian Imperial Stout and the Smoked Belgian Quad . Others on tap were Belgian Golden Ale and Bavarian Hefeweizen . Tours Tour and tastings are open to the public on Thursdays and Saturdays. Cost is 15 dollars. It gets you a pint glass six wooden tokens and six 3-6 oz pours depending beer. Over all great small brewery with great beer in Downtown Hapeville.
google avatar

Kevin G.

Yelp
I love this brewery. The atmosphere is clean and chill. The tasting room itself has a nice aesthetic with bricks, concrete floor, and wooden tables. They keep a rotation of art on the walls, which is a nice touch. Music plays in the background at a reasonable volume. It's a great place to go chat with friends. The outdoor area in back is also nice with cornhole, giant Jenga, picnic tables, and lounge chairs set up next to fire pits. The beer isn't bad either! It's very clean-tasting and doesn't taste like trees or 12 different varieties of grapefruit. It's just solid Belgian/German style lagers. The selection of different beers isn't as large as many other breweries, but I think the quality is better than most. And the staff is super nice Note: parking can be an issue at peak times. Don't park at the towing place across the road! There is a dance studio down the road where it's okay to park.
google avatar

Anthony L.

Yelp
Great people here with a great selection of house beers. Staff was very friendly and willing to help you pick the right beer for you. Will Def come here again.
google avatar

Felicia Q.

Yelp
If you like a down home, comfortable, laid back place to bring your kids or dog's this is the place!! You can sit inside which has a southern rustic look or simply hang out by the fire pit! Great place! Also catch some of the best beer I've ever had! Kentucky Mud is highly recommended!!
google avatar

Nathalie A.

Yelp
Going to start making this brewery my go-to spot before catching a flight! Less than 10 minutes away from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, it was the perfect place to kill some time before dropping hubby off for takeoff. Staff was friendly and offered great suggestions based on what beers we were currently in the mood for. The walls are covered by local art which they seem to switch out periodically and host opening receptions for. They even have a small library of free books for customers to take at their liking. Service was quick and we had plenty of time to to enjoy our pint, close out and head to the airport. Hubby and I have plenty of travel plans for 2020, so we'll be popping in again soon!
google avatar

Ryan R.

Yelp
I've never spent any time in Atlanta at all, so I needed a place to get my bearings and do some research about the city. Arches just happened to be the closest brewery to my hotel. All I can say is, I got lucky! I had the Mexican Empire Lager (think a better Modelo Negra) and the Springtime is the Best Time sour. Both were super refreshing and helped beat the heat on a 95 degree day. The most positive sign was that people kept coming in to buy canned beer. It's a dog friendly place with a nice back space with a bit of shade. If I ever find myself back in the area, I'd definitely come back.
google avatar

Melvin A.

Yelp
Amazing beer. Dope fire pits out back with people who love to talk beer. Say hey to Ashley and the crew!
google avatar

Terico H.

Yelp
My current favorite brewery in Atlanta. The beers are amazing from the Unseasonal Lager to their seasonal brews. I tend to chat with the brewers/servers and get a beer to go
google avatar

Ashley The Vegan F.

Yelp
I was only able to try their Vienna Lager tonight but it was absolutely outstanding. I wish I had more time to come back here again.

Megan G.

Yelp
Yummy beers! Quiet atmosphere tonight but have a feeling that's not always the case? Books and games to play, no food though.
google avatar

Shane S.

Yelp
Great brews, atmosphere, and people. A cool local gathering place and bring your doggies! Go there you will like it. I had the mystic bock, which was quite enjoyable, a dark beer, lighter than a stout with some bitterness, easy to drink. Good beer for coming out of hibernation, or during hibernation. Also tasted the blonde beer which was light and yummy. The owners/partners are awesome, the employees are super nice; laid back atmosphere and generally a cool crowd hangs there. See you again soon.
google avatar

Tricia B.

Yelp
Nice tap room and engaging outdoor space with fire pits sold next door. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good selection. Posted my per beer ratings on Untappd. Overall, the beers were good but nothing stood out. Five Week Sail was my favorite.

Daniel G.

Yelp
We just moved to the area and had looked up local spots for food and booze. We were thrilled to see Arches Brewing nearby. We walked in and were greeted by Daniel (one of the 5 partner/founders), he explained to us the process, what was on draft and the history of the Brewery. He also spent the next couple of hours making sure we were taken care of and engaging in conversation, he along with 3 other of the partner/founders as well as several locals that were enjoying a fresh beverage. The atmosphere was nice, the building has lots of character, old 100+ year old barn wood used for the bars and woodwork, exposed ceilings, local artwork, relaxing music and an overall clean bar and brewery. This place is pretty awesome - We tried 5 of their 8 beers on draft and I have to admit every one of them was unique and delicious. We will be coming back and hope to become regulars at this awesome place!
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. The staff is friendly the beer is delicious. I love the fact that it's a small brewery which makes it intimate to the guests. The tap personnel are willing and excited to explain the process of each beer and each of their tastes. Very knowledgeable staff. Really enjoyed my Wednesday.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Not only are the beers great but the atmosphere is perfect and the staff is super friendly. The brewers are on site and are informative and down to earth. Although this was my first visit it felt like home. I highly recommend this brewery if you are in the area. Must try the Nitro Milk Porter, Imperial Stout and the new Holiday!! I'm pretty sure there wasn't a beer I didn't like there.

Yelp
I absolutely love this brewery. They are an amazing company with GREAT beer. One of the owners is a friend of mine. I watched this establishment go from being a Gentleman's club where nice guys got together to just make beer while I was at book club with their wives drinking wine and quietly asking several people what the book was about. When my month for hosting came about...I chose Anna Quilan's "One True Thing". Please support this brewery. Thanks.
