"Archibald De Prince trained as sous-chef under René Mathieu at La Distillerie before opening his own restaurant with his wife Rachel in Lauterborn in 2024. Six months later, he earned a Michelin star. Vegetables drive most of the menu, though meat and fish appear occasionally. The restaurant operates with rooms upstairs: no televisions, just private bathrooms, double beds, minibars, and WiFi throughout. Wonderful restaraunt and experience. The whole menu was delicious and I could really see that each dish related to each other to create one story. My favorite was dessert with strawberries, cream and violet. One of my preferred dishes of all time - it was a great balance of sweet, acid, freshness and fat, with a little twist due to the violet. The only thing I would change, is that the restaurant could be a bit more dim - it was very bright inside with all of the lighting. Otherwise, I cannot wait to visit again!

Some restaurants have a star and you wonder why. Others have a star because they stuff truffles in anything. Archibald de Prince has one star (why only one ?) because he has got talent. Period,

The Hotel actually plays second role to it´s newly awarded Michelin one star restaurant which is the real reason to visit this location. An exquisite seasonal multi course fixed menu which is absolutely mouth watering and beautifully prepared. The breakfast was also a special treat with freshly homemade products. This hotel/restaurant was opened in November 2024 so it is still finding it´s way but the rooms although sparse are comfortable, clean and quiet. We can only recommend a visit and wish the owners success for the future.

The restaurant visit was an exceptional culinary experience - the restaurant offers an unparalleled journey for your taste buds from regionally sourced food ingredients, the service was great and the ambience relaxing, cannot recommend enough! We did not visit the hotel, so cannot opine on that.

We had a wonderful evening. The host was amazing and very welcoming, especially considering it was their first day in business. The food was outstanding, with ingredients sourced locally and of the highest quality, expertly prepared by a top-level chef. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor; a special mention goes to the lobster with risotto and the sabayon gratiné.
