As a traveler from New York, I first stumbled into Archie McPhee’s back in the 1990s, and I never forgot it. On a recent trip to Seattle, I had to bring my daughter and share the experience. I’m thrilled to report that it's just as delightfully weird and wonderful as I remember. This place is a shrine to all things absurd: from miniature rubber duckies to cryptid-themed curiosities, fake mustaches, and the ever-iconic rubber chickens. The sense of humor here is perfectly off-beat/equal parts prankster and pop-culture oddball. I picked up some fake poo to sneak onto the toilet seat at home. It’s not just a store—it’s an experience. Archie McPhee’s is one of those rare places that doesn’t take itself too seriously and reminds you how fun it is to be a little silly. So glad it’s still around after all these years. Never change!

Google
This place is amazing! Definitely worth a visit. There are so many fun things to look at, you will find something to take home.

Google
This shop is truly amazing! It offers a wide variety of items for any party theme. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they have an extensive selection of costume ideas and costume clothes. It's wonderful to have a Halloween party store available year-round!

Google
Great store with lots of fun stuff. Most of the store has themed sections: cats, Big Foot, bacon, etc. The rubber chicken museum is super cute. They also have a lot of pickle-related items: bandages, playing cards, xmas ornaments, etc.

Google
Never in my life have I left a negative review until today. The young lady working at the store was so rude to my 6 year old daughter. She was touching the items and said that my daughter should have more common sense. Will never go back

Google
If funky and weird is your thing, this is your store. There's a wide assortment of novelties, toys, costumes, and all sorts of bizarre finds that make this a fun shopping visit. My kids love it, we go regularly. Most items are cheap or reasonably priced. Archie McPhee is an experience!

Google
Funny store selling a bunch of stuff I never knew I needed in life. I was stressing out for finals and the rubber chicken saved me. The best tourist attraction in Seattle. Something that squeaks and annoying to other people really made me as if there's nothing wrong in this cruel world. With the rubber chicken, I feel as though I'm at the top of the world and regained my confidence for my studies. Stressing out? Go here after school and discover exactly what you need to overcome your stress!

Google
Very cool place to check out. A TON of random fun stuff to buy for yourself or your kids! Myself and two friends entered, said hello and the guy looked at us and continued working with no response. The next people that walked in he said hello to. We didnt feel welcomed. It Bummed me out so i decided not to buy anything. Check it out though. Its worth the stop 😁

Yelp
Popped here at long last after passing it numerous times. One of those off the path, yet in your face attractions you check out whilst in Seattle. Archie McPhee is an oddity, novelty gift shop that has all sorts of quirky and "weird" toys, gags, decor and other gifts that ranges from silly and odd to practical...or perhaps practical jokes. A place you stop at for your April fool's gags, Halloween add-ons or party favors and collectible pez dispensers. Rember Pez? Some of the random things found within are as follows: Unicorn horns, & Elf Ears, vintage style lunch boxes, campy signs, Axolotl plushies, Birthday party supplies, masks and of course the Rubber chicken museum which is .... about what you'd expect. My middle school teacher and rubber chicken enthusiast would've love it here. (If you're reading this Mr. Kornhauser, check this place out). The staff are very nice here and its dog friendly which is part of what further prompted my visit. If you're looking for specific off beat toys, gags and gifts or similar this is the place to come. Even if you're bumping around the neighborhood, it's a fun little stop in here for a few minutes or so.

Yelp
It's a fun little gift shop I always drive past on 45th with different little gimmicky or prank items you can buy. I took my girlfriend here for fun, and it was a nice little stroll around the store with lots of amusing items to look at. They also have a little "Rubber Chicken" museum inside, with a gigantic Rubber Chicken standing in the store as well. If you like whimsy places to take your friends and family, Archie McPhee is a capsule of fun!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is unique and amazing. It's definitely worth going just to look at everything. This is probably the best place to go id you are looking for a wide selection of game gif5s or whit elephant type things yi buy. Depending on what you buy dir the nist part it's also cost effective. Every one we interacted with was super helpful and friendly. Dont miss the rubber chicken museum on the back wall.

Yelp
SEATTLE - I can imagine if you lack whimsy and hate the clutter of nicknacks and tchotchkes, you wouldn't dig this retailer. For the rest of us, this place is heaven. A ridiculous selection of stuff one doesn't need but certainly wants, like rubber chickens and a billion kinds of finger puppets and random scientific supplies such as beakers. Also houses a quasi rubber chicken museum. Highly recommended. Just dropped $50 there and easily could've spent double that.
google avatar

Jesse G.

Yelp
There's really nowhere quite like this store. Every novelty you could possibly think of and more is under this roof. Both Seattle specific and worldwide favorite gag gifts are available here. Every aisle is worth walking through as you'll smile or laugh with every turn. A great place to take a kid with ten dollars in their pocket to spend or to find something silly for the person who has everything. The staff is knowledgeable and just as quirky as you would expect. Most gift shops or novelty shops are relatively similar - selling the same old sort of stuff. This one is truly unique.
google avatar

Lawrence L.

Yelp
Come for the cool, stay for the rubber chickens. Archie McPhee's is your source for the nick-nacks and gadgets all under one roof that you cannot find anywhere else. Hand-punch puppets, oddly flavored candy canes, a rubber duck museum. This is the kind of place you can spend two hours or ten minutes. Browse, BUY SOMETHING, and be nice to the staff. They'll tell you funny, cool stories. It's worth a stop even if you're driving through the state.
google avatar

Baltazar C.

Yelp
The service is great! Selection is so diverse! So many wacky items and Nick-nacks. Overall great price.

Yelp
Archie McPhee is a staple for my work colleagues and myself when we want to add some ridiculousness to our office. When I was recently about to head off on my trip to Seattle, they legit sent me a shopping list in our group chat... asking for things like a "groaning blobfish", "possum in a peanut", and "stress tardigrade". Seriously, people... a GROANING BLOBFISH. Where else can you get nonsense like this? Haha. Basically, Archie McPhee is a novelty store full of some of the most random junk - but fun junk! - you can find. Also? A Rubber Chicken Museum. Because of course there's a Rubber Chicken Museum. All I can say is that you should visit and just expect to go on a bit of a scavenger hunt. Dig around! See what treasures you can find. And if all else fails? The answer is 'handerpants'. Yelp
Been coming to this place for years even before it moved to the present location. Now I'm taking my grandson here for his first visit! Still the same fun place with all kinds of weird stuff and funky vibe. Can't begin to describe the things you can buy here- punching nun hand puppets anyone? Bigfoot cards? Little rubber ducks, plastic appendages? The staff is nice and look like they're having fun at work. Did I mention the rubber chicken museum? The only downside to this iconic store is the small parking lot. We went around couple of times before someone finally pulled out. Street parking is hard to find too. BUT don't let the parking wars dissuade you from coming. Everyone should have a little Archie McPhee's in their lives!
google avatar

Cathy G.

Yelp
Hadnt been in for a long, long time. It's still filled with hilarious, wierd stuff. I had a fun convo with a staff re tinsel Christmas trees.
google avatar

Roger H.

Yelp
The whole family enjoyed our trip to Archie McPhee. It was a day when both teenagers were grumpy and getting on each others nerves. It was the perfect antidote for their moods! It is very entertaining and there is lots to see. Everyone found something to buy. Staff is very friendly. For me it is the top thing to do on a visit to Seattle. Far more interesting than any shop in Pikes Place Market.
google avatar

Fiona T.

Yelp
This eccentric store offers a delightful assortment of quirky knick-knacks and unique gifts. A must-visit in Seattle, it stands out for its one-of-a-kind charm and amiable staff.
google avatar

Paul K.

Yelp
Awesome place to visit. This place really cheers you up with the craziest, unusual yet mostly hilarious things. I end up buying things I didn't know I needed! The rubber chicken fascination that Archie McPhee has is legendary along with the finger puppets, figurines, etc. There is always something new at this place. I usually bring my family when going here and we wander around oohhing and awwwwing and typically laughing. We always walk out of here with a smile on our faces. A true Seattle treasure! I'm so glad to see they are still open in spite of the pandemic. Way to go guys! Keep it up!
google avatar

Paolo B.

Yelp
If novelties and rubber chickens are your thing, then this is definitely the place for you. I've been wanting to go here for quite some time and when I finally got the chance to, it just didn't do it for me. The staff are friendly but the parking also could be an issue. Bring your kids though, they'll have tons of fun here! The rubber chicken museum is pretty cool. A good tourist spot if anything.
google avatar

Georgia D.

Yelp
Love this place! This is my go-to spot for stocking stuffers or unique birthday gifts for family. It's a good place to bring kids on an afternoon in the summer too, for something fun and different! Prices are reasonable, there are a lot of delightful items kiddos can buy for cheap with their own pocket money.
google avatar

Rachel P.

Yelp
After Seattle Meowtropolitan we stopped here on the walk back the car. Kiddo nor Hubby had ever been there. So many cute things to buy people in your life that have desks or need a smile in their life. I need to stop here more often as there are so many treasures to be found!

Yelp
Archie McPhee is a store you have to visit if you're in Seattle. It's a giant gag store with odd knickknacks and odds and ends. I absolutely love stores like these. They have party supplies, miniature items, chemistry items (bottles, beakers, pipettes, goggles, etc), candy, and there's so much more. Going in, there's so much to look at and explore, it can get a little overwhelming. They also have a lot of rubber chicken items and have this tiny rubber chicken "museum". They also have the World's Largest Rubber Chicken that you can take a picture with. It's technically not rubber though. They used to have a photo booth and I miss it! It was fun getting a picture there.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
A place for those people that miss the Spencer Gift days. But Archie McPhee has more of my favorite items. Those being army men type figures. So many cool and different varieties. My favorites I've found there are zombies and skeleton warriors. You have to visit frequently as they change up those figures depending on the different season of year. They also have really cool gumball or Cracker Jack type of prizes. And I love the knock off Lego figures they have. I always love spending time here seeing what is new.
google avatar

Janice H.

Yelp
It's a store with a hodge podge of stuff with unique gifts and party decorations for different ages. The staff was friendly and there was a lot of variety to choose from.

Janie R.

Yelp
Just go! 10/10! Fun and wacky experience. Archie McPhee has always been part of my life because of my mum. Thanks mum Stopped in while visiting Seattle, and going to surprise her with a bunch of goodies when I return home. The cashier guy was great and friendly. Oh! And I spent over a certain price so got a free enamel pin (idk if this is an all the time thing or what but it was a nice gesture haha) Thanks Archie McPhee for being so goofy and wonderful.
google avatar

Willy M.

Yelp
Archie McPhee is wonderful, I believe it's been around since the 80's, best decade ever in my opinion. But definitely come here to take a look at all the little funny gag gifts they have, I spent an hour in here looking for a birthday gift for a friend. If you can't find what you are looking for, the staff is super friendly and helpful to assist you in making a decision. If you have a theme but not sure what to get, they are great at making recommendations. All kinds of silliness up in here, I was able to find perfect little gags for my weird sense of humor and ended up grabbing a bunch of small items and it was like $20. Worth checking out even if you don't buy anything, but I'm pretty sure you'll walk away with something. Great shop!!!

Yelp
Archie McPhee is a legend in the novelty tchotchke world. They're like the Yeti of stuff that you didn't know that you needed...When I was in Seattle it was a must to pay a pilgrimage and step foot in the world of wild, wack and weird...sounds like a poem by Ozzy Osbourne.... The building itself is famous for its wall of wacky murals which is a great place for photos to send for your next Christmas card to all the relatives that you secretly hate and wish that you could trap them in a Stephen King novel... I googled AM's history and it turned out the owner Mark Pahlow started out selling rubber lizards out of his house in LA and the name Archie McPhee is after the owner's wife's great uncle...you gotta love it! There are no rules for building an empire! I have good friends in the area and I always request stuff from here for holidays or birthdays...I love anything from here. One of my favorites are the grab bags that you can buy for $10 and you get a mixture of stuff from squirrel underwear to Antisocial note books to pocket rubber chickens.... you should always carry one so that you can tell the police that "we" were at home watching TV if you are ever asked where you were Wednesday night around 9PM when the neighbor down the street was murdered with a teapot from her cupboard. Perhaps the company's claim to fame is their famous "librarian action figure" which famed librarian Nancy Pearl https://www.nancypearl.com/ posed for...it features a Pearl look alike in a red cape like superman. There is a deluxe edition that makes a "scheeing" sound https://youtu.be/WJdEXb8bRQ0 They also have a famous punching nun puppet that you can get for someone who has it all https://mcphee.com/products/the-punching-nun-puppet. and if that's not enough fun then they have a great podcast called "Less talk and More Monkey" https://mcphee.com/blogs/news/tagged/podcast which among show and tell of their latest and greatest including the hilarious "fake" Archie Mcphee products... "We"....no its not just me and my pocket rubber chicken...I also carry a mouse in my other pocket....anyway we had a lot of fun here and left with a bag full of fun! The staff here are awesome and if you are a tourist they know everything about all the fun places to visit and what is going on around the area..... afterwards we headed down the street to play with some cats at the cat cafe Seattle Meowtropolitian https://goo.gl/maps/VVrAvJH545YNrNKF6

Yelp
This is your place for quirky, unique, and crazy gifts. I had never even heard of this place until we pulled up last night. I've been here for 5 years and not once did I ever hear of this place mentioned! It's a big place! I was expecting just one little room but it's actually like a department store of oddities. This would be a great place to pick up some fun stocking stuffers! Also lots of silly toys from my childhood.

Xavier R.

Yelp
Overall great store! purchased a mystery bag a while back and received "Punching Shakespeare" (pictured) in the bag. Excellent product, but was slightly disappointed when arm component broke after heavy usage. I was informed Shakespeare was not under warranty . Luckily, I was able to get him punching again with a quick ten minute surgery. Wish he was engineered for more durability!

Yelp
In need of a gift for that hard to shop for person? Looking for a good laugh? A fun tshirt or macaroni and cheese flavored candy canes? THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. I love love love this place. Every time I come in I find something new and silly to enjoy. I could spend hours meandering through the aisles, poking through the bins and giggling at what I find. Make sure to stop and see the Wallingford Beast and the giant rubber chicken. Visit the Archie McPhee website before you go and check out the "Super Secret Coupon". If you find yourself in Wallingford, this is a must visit!

Yelp
Archie's lives up to the hype. I knew I was going to be in town for about a day and I had searched for many different things to do. Believe it or not, Archie Mcphee's was a top spot I wanted to stop in on my way day vacation in Seattle. To get there I drove through a retro neighborhood. The stores all seemed to be throwbacks, with neon lightning for many signs that reminded a person of chain restaurant signs from the 70's/80's. When I arrived and parked, I immediately knew I was in a fun oddball place. The walls by the parking lot were full of odd characters part animal, like a Dorothy from wizard of oz type character, with a ravens head. inside the place was strange and interesting as well. there was soooo many strange things. As I like to give gifts that are funny or different I found my shopping basket full of oddities pretty quick. I made some tough decisions, and put half the things back. But not before I checked out the rubber chicken museum. 'Nuff said. Archie's lived up to how great it would be. Just wished I could stop in more often.

Yelp
What are you looking for? What aren't you looking for? What have you already found? What are you hoping to find? What is it that you really want? What did you end up finding here? Pretty much there's a ton of fun and interesting things here so much so that the only really way to explain it would be to say you have to go here and see for your self because it's that random! They do have a lot of things for party's some random toys it's Halloween time and they had some really cool masks as well as pretty much anything else you could really want including bacon to wrap your skin in! Who really knows when I'll get the chance to visit this crazy radical store again but if your in the area I'd definitely stop by here and see if you can find something you really just gotta have. Something cool that my Yelp friend Kelley U. Suggested is that you can order online from them so that's definitely a good way to look into the madness that is this crazy cool funky store!
google avatar

Melinda M.

Yelp
I didn't buy anything, but this is a great tourist destination just to go see! :) Lots of funny knick-knacks to look at, including the irony-filled "rubber chicken museum." My husband and I enjoyed grabbing some Molly Moon's ice cream and walking here to browse around. It would take HOURS to look through and enjoy everything!
google avatar

John F.

Yelp
7/5/19 Well this place has a number or fun things, I myself don't see any real use for most of this stuff. The staff I saw did not approach me and I did not approach them. Looking around, my wife saw the Chinese Horoscopes and bought 3 of them. If I am correct, the horoscopes says to never marry a rat....mom according to the horoscopes the rules have changed. Nevertheless, the Rat is who I married. This ace is nice, but I was done with it in less than 3 minutes.
google avatar

Rebecca R.

Yelp
We stop at Archie McPhee's all the time because the stock changes so frequently! We've bought everything from pieces to do science experiments, retro candy and tiny plastic animals you can launch at unsuspecting people. Last week, my friend was laughing on FaceTime about a silly squirrel puppet, it may or may not have showed up on her doorstep, in Iowa less than a week later, they included a bunch of awesome surprises too, including glow in dark rubber chickens!
google avatar

Susan A.

Yelp
I loved this place! It's full of stuff you don't need but have to buy--lots of trinkets and gag gifts. Yes, I succumbed and came home with weird sox and a fake banana. I used the excuse that this visit was actually cultural and I did tour the Rubber Chicken Museum. I had fun!
google avatar

Michael T.

Yelp
We're just happy a place like this exists! This is a toy store for the weird, strange and eccentric! You won't believe what you'll find here! Sure, there are some overpriced things... but any place with a Rubber Chicken Museum in the back has to get 5 stars!!! Right?
google avatar

NayNay S.

Yelp
Glad to find this find purveyor of grizzly bear piggy banks is still around. They have everything you didn't know existed and now desperately need. I'z first introduced to AM via catalog in the dark times before interwebs. Worth the effort.
google avatar

Kevin W.

Yelp
If you enjoy the novelty joke stuff they sell at Urban Outfitters and Spencers, Archie McPhee will blow your mind. They have their own private parking lot. Service was very friendly. They know people are mostly there to window shop and mess around. So many gag items and throwback toys here. It was like stepping back into my childhood toy bin. Great place to entertain yourself for awhile and let your inner goofball out!
google avatar

Bruce B.

Yelp
There's not a damn single thing inside this store that anyone actually needs, and that's a stone cold fact. Nevertheless, I usually spend about $250 on ridiculous crap here every time I visit Seattle. There's simply no other store like it.
google avatar

Clint W.

Yelp
A Felix the Cat and unicorn band aids! This is a fun place to browse and look at junky stuff. It's sort of a klitchy version of a Daiso. I think you have to be in the mood or be planning some funky party or something. Still loads of fun.
google avatar

Alexandria G.

Yelp
Not quite a party store, not exactly a joke store... but definitely a store for the kid at heart. Check out the Rubber Chicken Museum! Try to look at everything, you just might find something that you didn't know that you couldn't live without. For one our our family members, it was tiny hands for your fingers. For another, it was a set of squishy slugs.
google avatar

Aaron C.

Yelp
Cute kitsch! Some surprises to be sure but mostly imported miscellaneous. We had fun but I guess I expected more oddities. Still fantastic for odds and ends. They've had amazing wrapping paper in the past.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS STORE. I'm a weirdo and this store fits me perfectly. In fact, writing this review makes me homesick for it and I'm going to have to visit again very soon. Like tomorrow. Archie McPhee is wicked awesome because: *Pranking someone? Come here. *Need your White Elephant gift for Christmas? Shop here. *Looking for any kind of costume pieces outside of Halloween? Walk in. *Party time and need gifts/goody bags/decor/etc.? Spend here. *Want to scare the neighbors? Enter.. *Are you an angsty teen looking to up your ammo? Get in. *Have a dark sense of humor? Your store is calling. From bacon toothpaste to fake bloody legs to plastic animals to the world's biggest underpants, you can find it all here. I love the vintage books making fun of dating and the cheeky postcards. I've gotten many cards and gifts here for people that I adore and for perfect strangers ("I wonder what I got this year from Secret Santa!"). Sign up for their monthly email and you'll get a random coupon for some free odd item. Plan on spending an hour here at least just to see everything. If you haven't been here, you aren't a real Seattle-ite.
google avatar

Erin S.

Yelp
Need some squirrel underpants? An oil painting of a cupcake? How about some Bacon flavoured lip bomb? Small babies? Kung-fu playing cards with awesome, yet handy poses? Or perhaps, you wanted to catch a glimpse of the infamous Wallingford Beast? If you answered "yes" to any of these, and why wouldn't you, then this is the place for you! The first time I walked into this store several years ago, my first thought was, "Holy Shenanigans, what a bunch of crap!!!!" But, look closer and it's crap you can't live without. Every time I come to Seattle, Archie McPhee's is a must stop, and it never seems to disappoint. So, if you're trying to find something for that crazy best friend of yours, or you psychotic mail-person, then check-out Archie McPhee's, you'll probably not go home empty handed.
google avatar

Erin K.

Yelp
I am a big fan of Archie McPhee. The novelty items are cute and many are well made. Though I find the prices to be high, when I went online to try to shop for some of the same items elsewhere, the prices were the same. I think it comes down to the fact that the prices feel high for the fact that you are often getting something that is entirely useless except for humor, but there isn't enough demand to drive the prices of these kind of items down to where you think maybe they should be for a lollipop shaped like a coiled snake or candy on a stick in the shape of mens underwear. Is a D20 sucker worth $5? Well, they didn't have one in stock when I was there, but I was told it is a really huge sucker, so maybe. If there had been one for me to see in person I probably would have bought it. The squirrel underpants were designed by someone who either doesn't know the anatomy and size of a squirrel or doesn't care - they don't have holes for tails. And they are sized more appropriately for chipmunks or newborn guinea pigs. As soon as my guinea pig gives birth I'll post photos of her babies wearing underpants. Woot! I love seeing the crazy overstock, discontinued and accidental products as well as the products specifically designed and commissioned for production by Archie McPhee. I spent over $100 and was handed a free book that explains the history of the store as well as detailing in beautiful color some of their most memorable and loved products.

Yelp
Ever randomly walked into a weird store in the middle of town? Well this is as weird as it gets. Honestly. I heard about this store from my boyfriend who knows I love weird things. While visiting Seattle, Archie McPhee was one of his top destinations to hit up. I expected weird, but I didn't expect it to be this eclectic with stuff. We literally spent almost 2 hours in the store going through every section multiple times since it was pretty difficult to decide what to purchase as gifts for our friends. So I'd suggest visiting the store when you have plenty of time to shop. If not, you could be able to find the same products online somewhere too. We've all seen the Horse Mask by now; it can be found here among many other masks. There are toys, trinkets, and tools for anything. This store is primarily good for those of you who are into crafts, collecting stuff, or just finding stuff to shop for Halloween or Christmas gifts. Needless to say, it doesn't have anything and everything, but it at least it has a LOT of things!

Yelp
I had known about Archie McPhee for a few years now, after a friend had gone himself and had raved about it. I had watched some of their Youtube videos and had been on their website, so I had a decent idea of what this store would be like. I finally got the chance to come here a few weekends ago with the bf when we were in town, and even after all of our half-assed preliminary research, we were still pleasantly surprised with our visit. For starters, the store is pretty large and while they carry thousands of items, the place doesn't feel cramped. We're from NYC, where everybody is on top of one another, so it was a nice change of pace to actually be able to browse the products leisurely without bumping into other customers constantly. There's no shortage of things to gawk at or to "try on", and I never felt like I was being rushed or pressured to buy something. Be sure to take as many pictures as you'd like, there are loads of photo ops to be had here. Also, make sure you visit the rubber chicken museum in the back! I think each purchase also gets you a small gift, starting from $10 on, and from $10 increments on. I managed to find wacky gifts for my friends back home in NYC, and while nobody truly needs anything in the store, most of the items here would harden the coldest of hearts because they're just so silly and unnecessary. I loved this store and would recommend anybody who's in town, either as a local or a tourist, to come by to get a sense of what I thought was true Seattle kitsch.

Yelp
Walking in feels like entering the Muggle version of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. If you're in or near Wallingford, this is definitely an amusing stop. They carry toys, pranks, desk amusements, gag gifts, knick knacks, decorations, party supplies, and many other assorted things that you can spend a while just wandering through to see everything. Though they have a lot of different things, the store is pretty well-organized and doesn't feel cramped like similar store I've been to. I was looking for a particular gag gift and found it there in multiple different colors as well as glow-in-the-dark! They also have a rubber chicken museum where admission is free, and many rubber chickens you can interact with - thought they have a sign asking you to please only squeak a chicken once for the sake of the staff. I've come here a couple times and will definitely be back for funny gifts and fidget/distraction toys for my desk. Even if you're not looking for something in particular, it's a lot of fun to look through everything with a friend. You can learn a lot about their sense of humor by what they find amusing and whether they laugh or grown when you show them something.

Yelp
Expect to spend sometime pouring over all the strange knick knacks they have. You can find most anything you didn't need but now you do at Archie McPhees. I love to find small things to add to gifts for my friends and family. I'm particularly into their rubber animal masks. The photo booth there can be hit or miss on whether it's working but when it is make sure to grab some lobster claws and get your portrait taken!

Yelp
On my last visit to Seattle, October 2020, my friend brought me and my daughter here. My 9 year old LOVED all the loose bins of tiny oddities. This shop has everything you didn't know you needed. A wide variety of cards, souvenirs, clothing, and other random bric-a-brac. Don't miss their rubber chicken museum and the allusive Wallingford Beast. The employees were incredibly friendly and followed Seattle's covid guidelines. We brought lots of goodies home with us and I placed an order with ease from their online shop once at home in Minnesota. I can't wait until my next visit to see what else they have in store.

Yelp
This place is so wonderfully bizarre it's likely you'll find more locals in here than tourists. I've lived in Seattle most of my life and still shop here for that "special gift" for my remaining friends. Where else can you find a bag of plastic flies or a Jesus bobblehead for your dashboard? (Tastefully executed, if you'll forgive the pun) The "Last Supper" After-Dinner mints (the package includes the famous painting) are among my favorites. Pickle-scented air fresheners, bacon band-aids, and posable Librarian Action Figures are popular. Need a few yards of "Crime Scene" yellow tape? It's here. It's more interesting than a trip to any art museum.

Yelp
It's not often that you actually need anything that they sell at Archie McPhee. But that's not the point. It's stuff that, when you see it, you want it, because it's fun. Who really needs fingertip tentacles, a pencil eraser shaped like a UPS delivery truck, an assortment of alternative GI Joe and Barbie doll heads, plastic bugs, a real Portuguese computer keyboard, rubber chickens, antique scientific equipment, a unicorn horn for a cat, bacon flavored candy canes, or any of the other weird stuff they sell here? I don't know, but it's fun. And most of it is quite inexpensive; I paid 75 cents for the delivery truck eraser, which thrilled my truck-enthusiast three-year-old. A lot of the stuff is great for party decorations, silly gifts, or just plain weird stuff. Some of the stuff even has practical uses. The fun of the store is browsing for interesting surprises, and buying the goodies that fit the whim of the day. The place also does mail order for people who aren't in the Seattle area. But visiting the store in person is more fun.
