While leaving Port Hardy early one morning we decided to make a quick detour to Port McNeil for breakfast. After reading up on archipelago's I decided that I would really like to try it. We stopped in and ordered one meat lovers Benny and one smokie breakfast bowl. The meat lovers Benny was quite nice, it was loaded with a great variety of meat, the eggs were nicely poached and the hollandaise wasn’t bad. My partner ordered the breakfast bowl, the portion was great and the arrangement of the dish was nice, a nice layer of cheese accompanied by potato wedges. I would definitely recommend stopping here for breakfast, the coffee is good , the ocean view is nice. On a side note I would be really curious next time to try the breakfast nachos , sounds really unique

The onion rings were really good. Unfortunately the chicken was bland in both our burgers, like it wasn't seasoned before it was breaded. The $4 side caesar salad seemed quite small considering the price.

The place to recommend when staying in Port McNeill. Not very big, quite some waiting times but really great food. All of it: we had the cheese burger with bacon, the fish and chips, cesars salad with catch of the day and the Baby Burl Burger (1lb of meat). After just barely managing to finish the "Baby Burl" I asked how often the OMG_Burl (3 lb of meat) is ordered. Not very often! So go for it if you are hungry and up for the challenge to eat the equivalence of 12 Quaterpounder w. cheese...

No lamb shank like I wanted. Unfortunately had a dry burger and my partners spaghetti bolognese had way way way too much oregano in it. Stale old fries in my poutine...

Service was great and friendly, food came out fast and it was delicious. The portions were good, but the prices were on the higher end. That said, it seems to be the avg up in these parts of the island and the food quality didn't make me feel like I was cheated. Easy and streamlined COVID precautions in place and an engaging staff made this a solid experience for my wife and I.

We recently went for dinner (at lunchtime) to Archipelagos Bistro and had an amazing meal. The chef was kind enough to prepare the Chipotle Chicken Mac’n’Cheese for me & it was outstanding, with lots leftover for another meal. It came with one of the freshest side salads that I’ve ever had plus the lemon/honey dressing was spot on. My husband had the bacon cheeseburger & fries which were also both outstanding. Our starter of Calamari was done to perfection….can’t say enough about the amazing food here. Our server was so helpful, kind & attentive. A perfect meal 😍.

My roasted pear salad was very good but it took 40 minutes to get it, and the restaurant was only maybe 2/3 full. My husband’s burger was kind of dry. The servers are friendly and the decor is nice, showcasing local art.

Yelp
This doesn't exist anymore, there is other restaurants in town -- like Gus's, habourview, and sportsmen lodge and devils bath bar (and pizza)

Yelp
We were stranded in Port McNeill with a flat tire. Archipelagos was our comfort. The evening we arrived we sat down to a great dinner, of very generous potions. My Calabrese shrimp and sausage pasta was great. My daughter has a pizza that I tried. Its crust was fantastic. My other daughter loves a poutine and if you check the menu, you'll see why she wasn't disappointed. There are 5 to choose from! The next morning we returned for breakfast and again were very happy with the food. You know your Benny is going to be good when they ask how you like the eggs. Mine were as requested, soft and runny. Again the portions were large and got our day started on the right foot.

Yelp
was my 2nd visit...my 1st visit was great - wonderful home made soup and appetizers - pork crispies and kettle fries. On my 2nd visit, again the soup was so good, hubby's calamari was the best - BUT, the burger - we did not get what we ordered (cheddar and bacon) - no bacon, the bun was just a plain grocery bun, all white, cold out of the fridge, no time on the grill at all and it was $18! ...which we were charged the full price for despite the fact we told the waitress. It looked totally unappetizing and was missing the bacon, the bun when touched was cold. Truthfully a Big Mac would have been better!!!
