13 Hottest New Restaurants to Check Out in Savannah, November 2024

"A stone’s throw from Factor’s Walk, Arco, part of the Rhino Hospitality family, is one of the sexiest spots to sip a sunset cocktail by the river. Though it’s most often a place to start or end an evening, Arco can be the main event if you choose. Live entertainment and tapas like baby octopus, Chilean sea bass, and Savannah blue crab cakes make lingering longer than expected easy." - Kiki Dy

Dining with Dirk: Never Have I Ever – Saturday Edition. After three weeks on the road, I was craving something delicious to pair with the perfect weather. Along came Arco for the huge win! I bellied up to the bar, where Brandon kicked things off with a Blood Orange Martini to quench my thirst. Next came the perfectly golden-brown panko chicken sandwich. The pepper jam spread was amazing, and the dill sauce on a brioche bun took it to the next level. Brandon, Cameron, and Scotty worked the room effortlessly, stopping by at just the right times and engaging in conversations that went well beyond the usual “How is everything?” — at Arco Café & Lounge.

Best atmosphere, drinks and bartenders you could ask for. This place is absolutely gorgeous. Our bartender is Morgan and Brent were so skilled and personable who just made our visit!

Google
Scotty, Brandon, and Morgan were absolutely fantastic!! Loved the music and drinks, thank you Brandon for my Hojija. You guys rocked! Sushi was amazing, I ascended to heaven when I ate it. Thank you!!!

Austin H.

Google
I had the pleasure of meeting Brandon and Cameron who gave excellent service. My London fog was top tier as well. They have a balcony overlooking river street with a wonderful view. I’m definitely coming back for a cocktail

Lisa C.

Google
Such an amazing place! Great atmosphere. Our charcuterie was delicious. Brandon was a terrific bartender. We will be back!

Jeannine P.

Google
I had the pleasure of being served by Brandon, an absolutely phenomenal and truly charming bartender during my visit. Their knowledge of cocktails was impressive, but it was their warm personality, attention to detail, and effortless professionalism that made the experience unforgettable. Every drink was perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and crafted with genuine care. If you’re looking for someone who elevates the entire atmosphere while making you feel welcomed and taken care of, this bartender is a standout. An exceptional experience from start to finish!

Google
Scotty and Brandon were incredible. We were winding down our night and stumbled into this charming little French spot for a nightcap, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had the best seats in the house

Brian G.

Google
Gorgeous cafe and great place to work. Coffee and pastries were great. Brandon was extremely friendly, we will definitely be back!

Yelp
What a beautiful picturesque place to have some bites and cocktails! I was welcomed into this moody, velvety spot with a sweeping view of the river. Beautiful glass, marble, deep colors of navy, mauve, and gold. Service was wonderful, felt welcomed immediately. For my appetizer, I had the crab cake with homemade tartar sauce, which was a light, bright way to start the evening. For my entree, I had the filet mignon. The server will tell you, the menu says tapas, but the servings are larger than that. Meat portions are generous at 6 oz. My only complaint is that I ordered my steak medium and got closer to well done. At least the steak was still moist and not dried out, but I would be hesitant to do the steak again. The spinach risotto I had with it was creamy and cheesy, however, so that was nice. Other options for food include burrata, a charcuterie board, grilled shrimp, sea bass, salmon, scallops. The cocktails are the real star here. They fall under the categories "strong and adventurous," light fare," and "signature." Non-alcoholic cocktails are also available. I started with the medusa 1597, under "strong and adventurous." Made with Old Tom Gin, extra dry vermouth, truffle, grapefruit, and amaro, it was extremely strong. A bold, slow sipper I would have done better to have later in the evening, but I still appreciate the complexity of it. I also had the Bella primavera, a lighter cocktail under the signature section. Made with pisco, blanc vermouth, French herbal liqueur, watermelon, and basil leaf. A smoother, brighter, faster sip than the Medusa. And I also had the blood orange martini, made with French vodka, blood orange, lime, and cranberry. A little sweet, but not cloying, and again, would have been a better starter as opposed to a closer. I think when I return, I will ask the bartender to make me off the menu drinks. This place seems creative enough that the outcome would be fantastic. I loved this place. The vibe, the view, the service, the offerings. Can't wait to see what more they have in store.

Yelp
What a great cocktail bar! I came here for my birthday pre-dinner cocktail with making a reservation informing it was my birthday. The place is very cozy and right by the river and seats a good amount of people with a set of chairs on the balcony outside as an option. We got sat at the river side and it was beautiful looking out at the view while enjoying a nice drink. I got the Adelaide's Song and it was delicious! Our super sweet waitress also informed us that we could go out to the balcony to see the view and I can say for sure it's great for pictures so I appreciated her letting us know about that. She later came up to us and realized the birthday noted on the reservation and asked if I wanted chocolate torte or creme brûlée, which I got the chocolate torte and was able to get it to go due to a dinner reservation, but that made me feel very special that she noted it and made sure I got a complimentary birthday dessert with a cutely noted box! Also, safe to say that's the best chocolate torte I've ever had and the strawberries complimented it very well. Overall, this is the best experience I've ever gotten at a cocktail lounge and I thank the waitress for that!

Yelp
Great staff, drinks, food, and space. Definitely one of my favorite cocktail lounges in Savannah. The staff here are phenomenal. They will give you great drink suggestions, and go above and beyond. They also have great memories. This was my second time in but they remembered my group dressed up for Halloween when we came in the first time. When they are packed, it is loud. Personally I like the chiller vibe when there are less people, so says the introvert though! Drinks: Mano e Mano - finally a savory drink! It is bright without being sweet. I think the balsamic really helps. It also comes with a yellow cherry tomato as garnish. I did not ask about the Bourbon type but it tasted good with well Bourbon This is my new favorite drink. R(h)um in a Rose Field - I tried this later in the evening. It should have been my first drink because it was fruitier and lighter than Mano e Mano, but I liked it. Paper Plane - my friend got a paper plane made by Miller. He offered it as an option when she wasn't sure what to have. She loved the drink but the best part? He made a little paper airplane to go on top!! So much fun! Bella Primavera - my friend also tried this but she had the same experience as with my two drinks: this one should have come before Paper Plane. It was good but the other was her top choice. Malört - yes you read that right. The Chicago liquor. One of the bartenders went out and got some of this from another bar so we could try this. So thoughtful but the drink I was grateful I had some of my R(h)um in the Rose Field left. Malört is not for the faint of heart (or taste buds). Kitchen closes about 90 minutes before the bar closes. The food was great, so get there early to try some! Food: Marinated Baby Octopus - this has SO much octopus! I couldn't believe it! It came with like 7-8 pieces. I loved the chili sauce that was on it. I was glad I had the risotto plate to help me cut the octopus. Saffron Risotto - this was delicious. It paired well with the Octopus not only because I got more plate space to cut on but also it provided a little chili sauce heat break. Charcuterie Board - there was so much cheese on this plate! Between the savory and sweet options plus the 5 kinds of cheeses, there was something for everyone on the plate. Next time: I've got to try the Blood Orange Martini!

Yelp
Arco Cocktail Lounge was the first cocktail bar of our Savannah weekend, and we loved it! It was a bit tricky to physically find, since Google Maps led us to River Street, but the main entrance was actually on Factor's Walk. We ended up taking an elevator from Vic's Coffee Bar to get up there. Once we got inside, I was immediately obsessed with the interior decor. They had beautiful chandeliers, big arched windows, plush green velvet seating, and massive Victorian-style mirrors. We chose a table near the window and had a great view of the riverboats passing by. Our server was sweet and personable, and even offered to take photos of us on the balcony. The bar was mostly empty on a Saturday afternoon, since they were getting ready to close after brunch. For drinks, I ordered the Aperol's Bow and my friend got a Bellini. The Aperol's Bow was a strawberry-infused twist on an Aperol Spritz - delicious and refreshing. The strawberry flavor didn't taste artificial at all, and I loved the dark cherries. We only stayed for one drink, but really enjoyed the experience. Would return!

Yelp
This was my favorite experience on my Savannah trip. I made reservations and got a wonderful spot by the window with great views. The decor is very chic. Nathan was my server and was great. I got the scallops and wanted to substitute risotto for green beans and it wasn't a problem. All of my drinks and food were great. I highly recommend.

Yelp
This is such a cute place for drinks! A little on the pricey side but def worth it for its Its elegant and adorable decor! Great place for a girls night out or drinks after work! The place wasn't very busy but they only had one bartender so that made service a bit slow, but I still enjoyed my drink! Very tasty! My only true criticisms are that they didn't have any reposado tequila and that's the glasses they use make you feel as though your drink isnt very full. Other than that, its a cute place, with a relaxing atmosphere that I would love to go back to!
google avatar

Kaile N.

Yelp
Came here for cocktails with some girlfriends and was really impressed. I really loved the atmosphere and the style. There is an amazing view of the river. And I was super excited to find non-alcoholic drink options that were beautiful and delicious. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
The food... I didn't try it. The ambience was sublime. I loved the lighting! It made everyone look photogenic and gorgeous. The service is attentive!
google avatar

Yelp
Gorgeous location with fabulous cocktails. Try to get a table by the windows and if you're lucky a ship will pass by. Hard to explain how cool it is. We ordered appetizers to share. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Beautiful and sophisticated space that is serving up some unique and delicious cocktails. I enjoyed everything about the space and would be perfectly fine dining here solo or with a group. Our server Andrew was helpful, pleasant, and provided excellent service. I would have stayed longer but was exposed to an obnoxious group that was sat right next to us that destroyed the entire vibe of the place. I was pretty disappointed management didn't ask them to chill out because their energy did not go with the place and they were disturbing. Due to them I only ordered one drink and an appetizer and decided to leave. I had the Cucumber Bliss $13, very refreshing and tasty and the pan tostado was perfect for a snack $7.   This spot is right next to Vic's on the River on East Bay Street.

Yelp
Such a cute place to have a delicious meal and drink! The restaurant opened promptly at 5 and we made reservations so we weee seated quickly. We were given waters and I decided to order the mocktail called the Hudson Express and my husband got the Lavender Bliss drink and we both enjoyed our drinks. For appetizer, we got the marinated baby octopus which was delicious and we loved the Thai chili sauce they used for this dish. For our entrees, I ordered the grill shrimp that came with a side of risotto and the shrimp was well seasoned but I did not really care for the risotto. My husband got the filet mingon cooked medium and it was cooked to perfection and also seasoned well. Unfortunately, he did not care for the side of green beans because they were a little mushy. Our waitress was kind and attentive. We absolutely loved the decor and atmosphere of this place! Such a great date night spot!

Yelp
Arco happened to be my first stop while visiting Savannah, and I cannot recommend this lovely cocktail bar enough! The furniture is comfortable and elegant, and we were treated to a talented live singer while enjoying appetizers and drinks. For appetizers, we enjoyed both the Pan Tostado and the Savannah Blue Crab Cake. To drink, I had the Blood Orange Martini, which was sweet and citrusy, and the Evergreen, which was more botanical, and I really liked both cocktails. We also enjoyed a beautiful view of the river and friendly service.
google avatar

Greg S.

Yelp
We stopped into Arco before catching our Walking Tour. We had the Tostado, Burrata, and the Charcuterie Board. We enjoyed them all and the Burrata was hands down our favorite! All the ingredients were so fresh. For cocktails we had the Blood Orange Martini and the Never More. Would highly recommend both! Our server was very friendly and attentive and the ambience is warm and classy. Probably our favorite stop in Savannah!

Yelp
Lovely spot to have a cocktail and watch the world sail by. Arco is our new favorite adult spot for a quiet lunch in sumptuous surroundings. Real marble, leather, velvets, brass and laid back music makes for a chill vibe. Service is warm and welcoming. I had the Salmon Cobb salad, fresh and grilled, it was a nice amount of food for the price. The coffee was great as was the mocktail of cucumber shrub, basil, lemon--so nice! Others in the group opted for the avocado toasts (looked great). The # of items on the menu is small, but well thought through. We will be back.

Sean F.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this little gem by accident. The server was also training a new server, and they were both awesome. Food is served small plate style but the portions were solid. Great view of the water.
google avatar

Amanda F.

Yelp
Only had cocktails here and most say we love Miller the bartender. He lets his creative side shine through in his drinks, is great to just chat with, and knows his stuff!!! Loved hearing his reasons for the names he gave several cocktails on the menu. Highly recommend the Fall Spiced Brown Derby. Did not have food while we were here, so cannot review.
google avatar

Yelp
I love Arco! It is one of my favorite places. The food, service, and ambiance are all excellent. Arco is located off of Bay Street, look for the black and white striped umbrellas. When you step inside you will see a variety of tables, comfy sofas, chairs, and a medium sized bar area. Do not let the front area space fool you! Keep walking, there is more seating in the back. My favorite area is the bar. I love to sit directly at the bar counter. Andrew, my favorite bartender always makes my experience fantastic! The drinks are wonderful. They are well thought out, delicious, and beautiful. The food is delicious too. I got the Chilean sea bass. It came with a spinach risotto and scrumptious sauce. It was a lovely presentation. I enjoyed every bite of it. Go to Arco, whether for a drink, a bite to eat or both, you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Mel P.

Yelp
Grabbed a few drinks here on a girls trip and had a great time. We sat at the bar and chatted with the bartenders all night. They really made our night more fun. Loved the entire staff! Pax and Angelo (I think) were the best. The cocktails are so delicious (a little on the small side but still good). My friend ordered some food and even though I didn't try it myself it smelled really good and my friend said it was delicious. The atmosphere is very classy and pretty. Loved the decor and charm of it being in an 1860 Victorian building. We also checked out their sister lounge, 'Peacock Lounge' afterwards. Also great!
google avatar

Cara I.

Yelp
Great for a cocktail, no so much for dining. As the name would imply, Arco is a great cocktail lounge that also serves upscale bar fare. I ordered a pizza and a cocktail when I went with a few friends. The pizza was just so-so and was expensive. The low tables make it a very uncomfortable dining experience, but a great place to relax with a drink. The location is a perfect stopping point if you're taking a stroll downtown and want to avoid busy River St.

Sarah T.

Yelp
Great drinks. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and fun to chat with on a slow day.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a lounge and cocktail bar, so be sure you have that in mind while you visit this beautiful place. They do offer food and apps, but we didn't get either - again, it's a cocktail bar and lounge! We may go back to try the food, but I anticipate going back and working my way through the extensive drink menu. Another beautiful place owned by elē and the chef, it's on theme with the other Asian inspired restaurants and cocktail lounges owned by the group. This one, however give my original favorite Peacock Lounge (also owned by elē and the chef) some competition! Service was impeccable. It seemed only two staff were scheduled for that night, mixologist and a waitstaff, but we felt well taken care of. I'm interested to see how this place is when it's busy. This lounge is better suited for small groups, with fewer seating options for couples or pairs, but don't let that stop you from going. The ambiance is amazing! The upscale vibes with a stunning view of the river makes this the perfect place for ladies night, date night, or even a solo trip and sitting right at the bar. Great job, elē and the chef! Another favorite added to the list.

Lanny T.

Yelp
I came in and sat at the bar. The tender, Luke, was very attentive. He made a fabulous cocktail! I looked over the menu. He recommended the sea bass. I'm so grateful I took his recommendation. It was cooked to perfection with a sauce that was very complementary. After I finished my sea bass he made me a dessert cocktail. A very nice and relaxing atmosphere.

Lisa S.

Yelp
Atmosphere and food were great! The place was very understaffed. They had only 4 people running the restaurant (minus kitchen staff) on a Friday night. Our server was awesome even though we didn't see them very much.

Logan P.

Yelp
Service is precise. They are super sweet, and also laid back. the servers will come to you after sitting whereve and do a good job in the bar and apps scene in my opinion. Perfect ambiance great place for your new friends, coworkers, dates.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
Honestly, the best spot we went to in Savannah this trip. Luke made the best drinks and best old fashion ever. Food was phenomenal!!!! We had the burrata, octopus and steak/ veggies. Next time we are back in Savannah we are definitely coming back.
google avatar

Jen K.

Yelp
What a vibe! Food was delicious. Interior design on point. Quaint and intimate. River/sunset views. Service was great and seasonal veggies on par!

Angelynn J.

Yelp
Ambiance was ok there was zero music and the overall area was small, services wasn't that great but not blaming the server they seemed to be short staff, food very small portions for how expensive it is, drinks were okay nothing special about them, probably won't be returning
google avatar

Landon W.

Yelp
Was looking to have a drink my last evening here and luckily found this place. I loved the drinks here, the atmosphere and view is incredible too!
google avatar

Amber C.

Yelp
We have been to Arco for drinks, brunch and dinner and every time we go, it exceeds our expectations! Not only is everything on the menu great, the ambiance is The restaurant is in a great location as well - as either a starting point or a fun spot to end your night! Highly recommend for a date night or girl's night!
google avatar

Ken And Karen M.

Yelp
Gorgeous and historical place to relax and have an amazing cocktail and delicious gourmet appetizer! The wait staff were so friendly and very accommodating.

Yelp
A dream Made true By water With ice. Music to distract My soul From the toil Of days. Tastes to tantalize In antique loungers Watching river queens. Shrimps, scallops, tartars. Rums, Merlots, Pinots. Good conversation. Patience. She deserved her desert A kiss or three!
google avatar

Yelp
Had an amazing lunch with friends in a beautiful dining room overlooking the river. The staff was attentive and friendly. Our food was beautifully presented and delicious
google avatar

Lauren K.

Yelp
I went to Arco during a recent trip to Savannah. It was a little tricky trying to find but once we made it, it was amazing. I had the octopus as a starter; it was delish. For my entree I had the salmon. Their menu is sort of small as I'm seeing now they're more of a cocktail lounge. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. I'm a sucker for great aesthetics and the decor was so cute! I would definitely recommend in you're in Savannah!
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
Fabulous cocktails ... great vibe and ambiance! Enjoyed the Pan Tostado appetizer. The grilled bread was crunchy on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside, which was a pleasant surprise, and dipping it into the Italian garlic oil was heavenly! Highly recommend Arco!
google avatar

Ray N.

Yelp
Had a great evening at Arco! The staff was super welcoming and obviously proud of their creations. We tried a few of the bar tenders 20s themed cocktails and they were fantastic. Although simple, the pan tostada was delicious. The singer was fabulous too. Favorite cocktail lounge in Savannah.
google avatar

Delia S.

Yelp
Located along the River front, I was lured to this place by a songbird they'd hired to perform for their outdoor seating area. I was headed to dinner at the JW Marriott, but stopped in for a couple of drinks and ended up staying for over an hour! While there, I also dined on some grilled octopus and noshed on some of their complimentary charcuterie. The drinks were perfection! I had the blood orange martini and enjoyed it so much, I had another. It was a little on the smallish side, but it went down so smoothly, it's probably for the best! The octopus was delightful and so flavorful. I can't wait to go back to Savannah and visit these special places again.
google avatar

Shawn S.

Yelp
Food has been amazing both times I have been. The Wagu filet the first night (I think it was a special) was amazing. And we weren't disappointed when we came back with friends. Maybe some more diversity at the bar, but what they have is good quality. And I really like the relaxed atmosphere, and lounge type seating.
google avatar

Patrick K.

Yelp
Stopped in while walking to our hotel for a quick afternoon cocktail. We absolutely loved the art deco interior. Bartenders were friendly and top notch at making cocktails. We had friendly conversation the entire time and eventually opted for a snack. Food was cooked perfectly and we really didn't want to leave. If we had more time we would have came back. Will be a must visit next time we are in Savannah.

Ava C.

Yelp
This was genuinely one of the best places i've ever eaten. The services was impeccable the ambiance was amazing and the FOOD AND DRINKS. actually to die for. the crab cake was the best i've ever had. octopus was phenomenal. the salmon, scallops, and shrimp was BREATH TAKING. the Amalfi Coast drink was divine. Cannot recommend this place enough if you're in savannah.
google avatar

Emilie W.

Yelp
This place gave me cozy warm vibes... I absolutely loved the inside of this bar! The atmosphere is amazing. The drinks were very good and beautifully crafted. I ended up getting the cucumber Bliss ($13) and my friend got the Not "Starbucks" although my drink was a great size her drink was very small for the $17 price tag. For both drinks and tip it cost $32. I would like to come back and try the food but definitely on pay day.
google avatar

Regina B.

Yelp
The entertainment was awesome. Her name is Laiken Love. She was great. The food was good we only got appetizers. The atmosphere was nice. The service was great as well. The drinks were good.
google avatar

Mini B.

Yelp
This place was recommended by our host and the ambiance was great! We came here for brunch and sampled some of their unique craft cocktails which were amazing, we had the blood orange martini and the cucumber bliss. I would recommend this place for drinks and a light appetizer but I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a substantial meal like brunch to fill you up. I got the blue crab cake which was very small (cost $22) and was still hungry, not worth it in my opinion. The service was very good though!
google avatar

Bradel C.

Yelp
Great drinks and friendly atmosphere with a very romantic feel. All of their drinks are top notch but my favorite is La Portada, which I highly recommend if you are a fan of mezcal. Also their bursts with heirloom tomatoes is chef's kiss. My boyfriend and I love Arco for a nightcap after a night out or dinner.
google avatar

Harry G.

Yelp
Had a great experience here. Tonight was their grand opening and I would agree that most places fail on their first night. Not this place. I sat at the bar and Anthony was my bartender. I couldn't have been happier. He was attentive and when I asked for their special meal menu items he was able to fire them to the kitchen when I asked so the food didn't come out all as one. The drinks were well made. The food was tasty and delicious. If I had any complaint it was that I believe they are $1 to $2 dollars pricier than they should be. The atmosphere is perfect. Not too loud, clean, and well situated to make everyone comfortable. The design of the place is well done and makes one feel comfortable and at ease. The staff is amazing and truly wants to succeed and make the place better. Truly will come back to experience things and hope their food menu expands even further.
google avatar

Adolfo B.

Yelp
I love well made quality cocktails and Arco was suggested to me while I was visiting The Peacock Lounge which is another one of their locations. Very elegant location with a knowledgeable staff that understand their liquors and can make very good recommendations based on your favorite spirits. Drinks are a bit pricey but well worth it for a quality beverage.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
I went here for brunch with a few coworkers to go through some marketing ideas and this place was perfect! we sat down right next to the window and got to look out at the amazing view! the brunch items were very tasty and as well as the cocktails . this place is a hidden gem! I will definitely be returning to try their dinner menu!!

Filippo S.

Yelp
This a a great spot - we couldn't get into Vic's and I'm glad for it. The location , service , and food were excellent. Do yourself a favor some try it yourself. Top Notch !
google avatar

Linda T.

Yelp
Went for a simple late dinner and were pleasantly surprised... the filet mignon was perfection and the Chilean sea bass was really good. Grilled veggies were spot on as far as doneness and flavor. Nice dinner for less than $100. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Arco is a lovely dinner and cocktail lounge. We dined there a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed a few drinks and dinner. We thought the service, decor, drinks, and food were amazing. We will definitely be back to this pretty restaurant soon!
