What ‘Reopened’ Restaurants Look Like in 17 Cities Worldwide - Eater

"The diners at the alfresco establishments dotting the usually lively Arco della Pace quarter reflect the shifting mores: a solo diner takes care to avoid any unnecessary human encounter; a party of six clinks spritzes, masks dangling from their ears; a trio greets each other with shoulder pats instead of the customary double-cheek kiss." - Eater Staff

A stunning and historic monument located at the edge of Parco Sempione. The architecture is truly impressive — beautifully detailed and full of history. 🏛️✨ It’s a peaceful and picturesque spot, especially at sunset when the arch glows with warm light. Great place for photos, relaxing walks, or just enjoying the view with a coffee nearby. ☕📸 If you’re visiting Castello Sforzesco or Parco Sempione, make sure to stop by — it’s definitely worth seeing! ❤️

Visited on a sunny Monday and wow, the Arco della Pace is absolutely spectacular! We walked through Parco Sempione to get there, which made the experience even better. It wasn’t too crowded at all, which let us really take it all in and get some great photos. Honestly, this deserves just as much attention as the Duomo! If you’re in Milan, don’t skip this spot. As my first time visiting an EU country, standing here was such an overwhelming and exciting moment - the architecture, the history, the atmosphere… everything just hit different. Highly recommend adding this to your Milan itinerary!

Cool historic memorial looks like the one (gate of Berlin) in Germany. It’s literally a state of art inside the beautiful park.

After visiting the Sforza Castle, we walked through the park and ended up at the Arc of Victory (Arco della Pace)—such a nice way to continue the trip! The area is really beautiful, perfect for a walk, and once you pass through the arc you’ll find plenty of cafés and restaurants waiting for you. We sat down there to rest and enjoyed some truly delicious Italian food while watching the city life go by. A lovely spot that combines history, nature, and good taste all together.

Nice arc in Milan. My first time coming here and it’s really beautiful. Very European looking and romantic. Lots of people nearby eating lunch or taking Instagram pictures of themselves. We had some lovely aperitifs from a place close by. Theres lots of places to sit and view the arc with a drink or snack. It was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon

The Arco della Pace, or Arch of Peace, is a grand neoclassical monument in Milan. Its construction began in 1807 under Napoleon to celebrate his victories, but it was finished in 1838 by the Austrians. The arch was ultimately dedicated to the peace established after the Napoleonic Wars. Adorned with intricate reliefs and sculptures, it features a striking bronze chariot on top. Located at the end of a historic road, it beautifully links Parco Sempione with the city's lively center. This monument is a symbol of both a military past and a hopeful future.

If you're visiting the Sforzesco Castle, you should visit the Arco della Pace at the same time. It's barely a 10-minute walk from the castle, and it's so beautiful!

Nice arch monument built during Napoleon's time. Looked nice. Some event was going on nearby and the place right next to it was all getting ready for that. We found just a few tourists here. Good place for few clicks. Visit if you have time.

Yelp
A beautiful arch and very popular landmark in Milan. This arch is known as the "arch of peace" and is the gateway into Parco Sempione. It was once used as the official entrance into the park, but now it's known as a notable landmark all on its' own. At any given time, you'll see lots of people around this arch taking pictures and admiring its' beauty. There's also a large pavilion area that surrounds the arch where occasional events are held. I've been to a few other international arches, and this one is very reminiscent of others that I've seen. What separates this arch from the others are the Roman sculptures on the top of the arch and the Roman art pieces etched on the facade. They are truly unique as also quite stunning. I walked through this arch at least a handful of times during my trip to Milan, and each time that I was able to view this beauty made that much more fascinating. When in Milan, you're prone to passing by this arch at least one time during your visit.

Yelp
An amazing arch with a storied history. Fantastic meeting place next to a park and dozens of shops to eat and have a nice day. Dog parks nearby!

Yelp
Known as the arc of peace. It was built sometime in the 19th century to commemorate a victory for Napoleon. This as with all arches are most beautiful at night for pics, but lovely to see the detailing during the day. I don't know how many arches I have seen around the world, quite a few, but this one is just as pretty. There was a great attention to detail in every aspect and facet of this arch, it shows and it's beautiful as a result.

Yelp
I love that it's at the entrance of the park, you can seat and relax and admire this beautiful monument. Again, on weekends they seems to have concerts and it was full of techs and andamios. Better on a weekday.

Yelp
Peace? This appears to celebrate Napoleon beating the Austrians. Large plaza. A number of people enjoying the sunshine after yesterday's rain.

Yelp
Arco della Pace is so beautiful in person! We walked from Castello Sforzesco and through Parco Sempione to get up close and it was totally worth it. The two buildings next to it were under construction but hopefully we can come back and see it again!

Yelp
So this is my 5th Arc - Napoleon sure liked to leave these around on his EU travels! I have seen the ones in India, France, Belgium, Germany and now Italy (Arc de Triomphe in Paris, Brandeburg gate in Berlin, the Arc in Parc du Cinquantenaire or Jubelpark in Brussels, the Wellington Arch in London, and India Gate in Delhi The marble is similar to that of the duomo and I really really loved the sculpture of the horses on top. However getting here was a challenge as I walked what seemed to be endless paths thru the gardens - there wasn't a straight route, with the result that I often ended up in random nooks. One path I took had young immigrant men crowding the route and I got a lot of cat calls # No Fun :( It's a wide open space here for this arch, and might actually be one of the few that is located in a park and not part of city traffic patterns. I enjoyed checking it out, and can see why it's a fave place of the locals to hang out.
