This is the one italian restaurant in the area we had never tried before. So my wife and our 2 kids (6 and 3 years old) had a reservation at the restaurant for 6PM on a Saturday night. We arrived on time. The restaurant did not have a single person in it at that time. The host began to seat us at a table in the lobby of the restaurant, no in the main dining room. Since it was a cold day in Houston, and the table offered us would picking up a draft whenever the front door was opened I immediately asked if we could be seated in the main dining room. However, the host said they do not allow children in the main dining room (even though there was no one in it). He said not to worry "everything will be fine" at the table he had offered us. I have never been to a restaurant that discriminates against kids like this. We left Arcodoro and instead went to Amalfi Ristorante a few blocks down the street on Westheimer and had a great dinner - fantastic food, atmosphere, and service. Would NOT recommend Arcodoro to anyone. With service like theirs, I can see why they were empty on a Saturday night !!!
