My friends and I went to celebrate a birthday party. When we arrived the host was extremely rude and mentioned that we wouldn't be able to be seated for about an hour. The restaurant was sparse with very few people eating. We asked why would the wait be so long and the host became agitated and rude. He finally agreed to get a table ready for us and then suggested we look at the menu to see if we would like any food that they offered. It seemed that they were implying that this restaurant might be to expensive for us to dine at. We finally got our table and we were placed in the very back of the restaurant after passing an abuse center of empty tables both small and large. I felt like I was treated like a second class citizen at this establishment. They should be ashamed of the racism and prejudice they should me and my friends tonight.

Came here a few weeks ago with my girlfriend to try their Houston restaurant week menu and it was just okay. Some of the food was sort of dry and took awhile to make, for Italian we had tastier dishes at other places celebrating HRW. The service was good, everyone we encountered was polite. The decor and ambiance is nice for a romantic dinner. Food: 2/5 Staff: 4/5 Decor: 4/5 =3.5

Had a happy hour Gathering. It was terribly crowded. Was supposed to get beer and wine options. When I showed the bartender she declined me the beer and wasn't asked you about it. The munchies were okay. The rest of the restaurant appeared to be cozy. But wouldn't recommend this for a huge crowd big fire hazard. Hold on to your drinks you don't want to spill it's when somebody bumps into you as they're trying to walk through the crowd

Wonderful atmosphere and outstanding food. Friday night had amazing piano and saxophone players who made the night special. The wait staff were very attentive and took care to make our dining experience special.

This is the one italian restaurant in the area we had never tried before. So my wife and our 2 kids (6 and 3 years old) had a reservation at the restaurant for 6PM on a Saturday night. We arrived on time. The restaurant did not have a single person in it at that time. The host began to seat us at a table in the lobby of the restaurant, no in the main dining room. Since it was a cold day in Houston, and the table offered us would picking up a draft whenever the front door was opened I immediately asked if we could be seated in the main dining room. However, the host said they do not allow children in the main dining room (even though there was no one in it). He said not to worry "everything will be fine" at the table he had offered us. I have never been to a restaurant that discriminates against kids like this. We left Arcodoro and instead went to Amalfi Ristorante a few blocks down the street on Westheimer and had a great dinner - fantastic food, atmosphere, and service. Would NOT recommend Arcodoro to anyone. With service like theirs, I can see why they were empty on a Saturday night !!!

Went with a birthday group during Restaurant week. We were all completely unimpressed and it's unlikely ANY of the group of 11 will return. Too many other better choices. Table was cramped and the a/c was not cooling well so we were hot and uncomfortable. We were given bread and plain olive oil and I asked for some butter.. I was flatly told "we do not have butter.." I questioned that statement based on the fact that it's a full kitchen and restaurant that prepares many different items in house and I wonder how that could possibly be the case. I get that the Italian way is with olive oil.. but no herbs or anything in it.. Hot bread sounded good with some butter.. but i was told NO. So, there you have it. I had the ravioli with veal and it was just marginal. the pasta was fine but the veal inside was dry and hard and had zero taste. There was nothing specifically bad ( except that they couldn't find a little chunk of butter for the hot bread.. .) but also nothing really worth going back for. So, so many great choices besides this place. And.. they won't refuse to let you have a little butter for your bread. That whole thing should have never happened.

2 stars because service was good. For $20 a plate, I excpected better pasta than Olive Garden. Pasta was crunchy, undercooked, served cold, and not good. Roasted chicken was overcooked and dried out. You are better off getting a roasted chickend from HEB or Costco. I would not eat here if it was $10 a plate because the food was so bad. Go somewhere else for a nice Italian dinner as there are so many options in Houston!
