Arcos took the place of where Banditos used to be. We missed Banditos, but that void has been filled by Los Cabos. However, once discovering that Arcos had come in, we thought we'd give it a shot.
Upon entering, I immediately liked what they had done with the decor. Banditos was a little dated, like Cebollas, and lacked a level of sophistication with its decor. Arcos has an elegant look to it.
We were seated right away since there weren't many people there. The hostess was nice, as was the guy who brought us our drinks. But that is where the nice staff stops. Our waiter was not good at all. He was neither friendly nor attentive. I had asked if I was able to get cheese instead of pico on my tacos, something that I thought was reasonable. I even was willing to pay extra if need be, but our waiter just shook his head and said they couldn't do that. I realize that cheese on tacos might be a new concept, but i've never been denied this substitution/addition. After our order, our waiter stood in the bar area and messed with his phone most of the time. The only time we saw him again was to get our bill.
Our food came in decent amount of time, and the portions were large.
We ordered the queso with chorizo to have with our chips. It was thick, gooey, and delicious. For my meal, I had the rice with chicken and enjoyed it, although I overate! My wife had the chori-pollo (chicken and chorizo) and loved it. Overall, the food and decor were nice, but our waiter really soured our experience and we aren't sure we'll be back because we can go down the road to Los Cabos and get great food with friendly service.
