Google
A really great place for ice cream. Plenty of unique, home made flavors. The lychee and honeydew are two flavors you won’t see on most menus but they hit the spot. They offer so many toppings (got to go for the mango boba) and the bubble waffle cones takes everything to the next level. A must stop Philly ice cream spot.

So I’m not even an ice cream person but o wanted to go so that my inner child can get ice cream and just relive why it wasn’t one of my favorites lol and I’m glad i went to arctic scoop to go cause the ICE CREAM WAS SOOOOO GOOD ! The flavors for the day complimented what i made up for me try so well in my head. The staff were very kind and patient and they did an amazing job with presentation ! I got cookie and cream ice cream with Oreo dust and Teddy grahams 🥰🥰🥰 ate it outside and can’t wait to randomly crave ice cream and come again ! Highly recommend and it’s reasonable price. Oh my bf got cookie dough with strawberries and mango boba and he liked it a lot as well. Said that he prolly should’ve got vanilla but it’s was still good and he really liked the mango boba. I’ll be raving about this on my TikTok and vlog on YouTube: MissMosstheBossTV

Google
a very small but inviting ice cream place! i have yet to try their egg waffle, but it looks stunning! the prices are very generous for their servings and quality. they are very quick workers there, so don’t expect much chit-chat, but that’s totally ok!

Google
Always a great experience coming here! Today’s visit w/the family was for egg waffles (one chocolate and the other original) with cookies and cream and chocolate ice cream with different toppings. I had a kid’s cup (I believe) of strawberry ice cream topped with fruity pebbles. Always great service!

Google
Came here with a good friend of mine that recommended this place for good ice cream and boy was he right. These ice creams were not only delicious but wow, each one were an art piece!! Very pleasing and enjoyable. My family and friends give this place more than 5 stars.

Google
Visited on their busiest day (Flavors on the Avenue festival) and were impressed with their fast, friendly service and scrumptious ice cream. Their price is reasonable: it includes a generous scoop in a cone or cup, a choice of mix-ins and a choice of syrup drizzled on top. Arctic Scoop offers standard plus exotic Asian-inspired flavors like taro and sesame butter. Their almond butter flavor is my new favorite! There is some outside streetery seating, and it's dog-friendly.

Google
Cool place in south philly with good ice cream and pleasant service. If you get the egg waffle it comes with unlimited toppings of your choice and the really try hard get a little bit of everything on there in such an artful manner! Will be returning!

Google
We tried the pandan ice cream with mochi and condensed milk and the original egg waffle with almond cookie, mochi, condensed milk, Oreo cookies, and Oreo dust. Overall, it was solid. I wish the flavors were a little stronger, but they were light and refreshing. I would like to come back and try the coconut bowls when they are in season.

Yelp
My little group wanted something sweet post-family dinner so I saw this establishment was open late-ish on a Monday night. Walked about 20 minutes to get here and it was well worth it. Ice cream scoops have really gotten expensive compared to back in the days, but I will say this place packs a large scoop which makes the value a bit better. I didn't love that they don't have all of the advertised flavors on their permanent menu. They seemed to have a "daily" menu that is written from a marker to the left of where you order that shoes the ice cream that is available on that day. The ice cream itself was perfect. Very delicious! I got cookies in cream and was not disappointed. Would recommend if in the area!

LISA B.

Yelp
They are very stingy on their unlimited toppings. However, the waffle is delicious. Staff not pleasant or welcoming.

Yelp
One of my favorite ice cream spots. Sometimes you just need to indulge in a sweet treat, and Arctic Scoop provides! Super friendly service and has the vibes of a candy store.

Yelp
Cute little shop, well lit, nicely decorated. Had a good variety of flavors and toppings but some flavors were unavailable. They did have the list of available flavors clearly marked and visible. Although they were pretty busy the 2 people on staff worked pretty quickly and were really knowledgeable and helpful when it came to helping choose s flavors or giving recommendations. The item i ordered was made with care and it looked so pretty on top of being delicious!

Yelp
Delicious, creamy Asian-inspired ice cream flavors and toppings for a decent price. Also, very friendly service. Tried their taro and sesame butter flavors and fell in love. If I'm ever in the neighborhood or spot them out at events (like today's SEA Water Festival), I'm always going to get a scoop!

Yelp
A lovely dessert shop that offers both ice cream and bubble waffle cones! Atmosphere: The shop itself was smaller and most folks just grab their ice cream and go. It was very clean and had a great range of toppings, which we loved! Food: We thought our ice cream and cone was delicious! Their waffles are made fresh (and taste it too), and the toppings all tasted fresh too - the variety creates a mix of flavor and texture. Overall: 5/5 - delicious ice cream! I would love to come back to try new toppings next!

Yelp
Updating to 5 stars based on my recent experience. Had the chocolate ice cream in a coconut shell topped with coconut flakes, banana and strawberry. I know this combo is not rocket science and is quite well known but I am not lying when I say the chocolate is the most amazing flavor here! Try it and thank me later!

Yelp
Seriously one of the best ice cream spots on Passyunk/in the South Philly area. I've been a customer since they opened and whenever I go back home to Philly, I have to visit. Staff are wonderful and very welcoming and the music they play is so fun! A small shop that's perfect to stop in for a nice treat

Yelp
Where has this ice cream shop been hiding all this time?! We absolutely loved this place and will be returning occasionally when we're around the area. First off, they have exotic flavors such as green tea, pandan and taro (Asian flavors). We got one scoop of the pandan and I didnt think I would like it but ended up loving it with the mochi topping. The staff was very friendly and let us tried the pandan flavor before picking it. The shop itself is small and there are a few tables in which you can enjoy your ice cream. This place is a must try! Highly recommend getting the exotic flavors and going crazy with the toppings! It's also very reasonably priced. .
google avatar

Bhamidipati M.

Yelp
You will find the most unique flavours at the cute icecream store in Philly downtown. If you are used to the Asian street food flavours, you will enjoy this place. I highly recommend this icecream store in summers!

Yelp
So good I could cry!!! The waffles were so soft, fluffy, and easy to pull apart and eat. The ice cream and toppings went so well together. Was very filling and delicious.
google avatar

Miles A.

Yelp
Good creamy ice cream and had some unique flavors you won't find commonly elsewhere. Fair price. Don't forget to get a topping as it comes with the scoop for free but the staff won't ask if you want it. This is why I took a star off.

Yelp
One thing I love is a good dessert. I am definitely the person that will say "now I need something sweet" after clearing my plate at a restaurant, and that is exactly how I ended up at Arctic Scoop after eating at Cantina de Los Caballitos down the street. There are so many interesting flavors of ice cream and cones in addition to the different types of cones, mix-ins, and toppings, that, eating your way through all the different possible combinations may take you a lifetime. Ultimately after looking through the menu I decided to order an egg waffle cone with taro Ice cream and topped it with Pocky®, Oreo®, graham cracker dust, and a chocolate drizzle. Seriously that cone owes me nothing. I enjoyed every decadent bite, and I am looking forward to the day I can enjoy another creation from Arctic Scoop.

Yelp
Great ice cream place with Asian flavors! They have taro, pandan, lychee rose, almond cookie, sesame butter, to name a few as well as standard flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, cookies and cream. Single scoop is $5 for either waffle cone or cup which includes 1 topping and 1 drizzle. Service is very fast but there can be a bit of a wait on the weekends. There is limited seating indoors with a small bench outside.
google avatar

Abraham K.

Yelp
Some of the best ice cream in Philly! Not too sweet and awesome that they have Asian flavors like pandan and taro.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ICE CREAM PLACE! Was visiting from NYC and I was so glad to discover this ice cream spot. We got the coconut bowl with pandan ice cream. I've never had pandan flavor ice cream before so I was super excited to try it out! It was honestly really really good, it kind of taste like vanilla. With the coconut bowl, there is freshly cut coconut strips and sticky rice at the bottom. The sticky rice part might be a little off putting for some, but I liked it. I really like how in addition to all of that, I was able to get unlimited toppings and drizzled on top of the coconut bowl. The mochi toppings are my fav! I really love what I got here and I can tell that the workers here try their absolute best with each order. They decorated my coconut bowl so nicely and I greatly appreciate the care and dedication that goes into it. Can't wait to come back here the next time I visit Philly!

Yelp
Ice cream as dark as my soul? Check! Came here on a Friday night date night for a some sweet indulgence. The shop is cute and right in the middle of all the East Passyunk hustle. It's not too hard to find and the crowd that gathers around definitely serves as a pseudo street marker on spotting it! Inside it's brightly lit with the days ice cream options displayed towards the left and the register to pay meets you as you keep walking forward. The menu has some great, and unheard of to me, options. This really tickled my curiosity. We chose to go with the black sesame flavor in a black vanilla cone with the dark chocolate chips - all black errrthannnggg. The other flavor we grabbed was pandan (a fruity tea leaf flavor) in the same type cone. Both options were so good! The flavors were truly infused throughout the frozen treats. Definitely something new and delicious! The workers were great in explaining the different flavors and answering our questions. Unfortunately, due to COVID, they were not offering tastings of the flavors. This definitely had us a little uneasy since these flavors were so new to us, we were unsure if we will enjoy. Thankfully we were pleasantly surprised! The menu offers other options - including fresh waffles, smoothies, and boats - so lots of confectionary goodness to check out! Overall - great experience and looking forward to going back and exploring more of the menu.

Yelp
Honestly my favorite ice cream place in Philly-- this place is a hidden gem. Due to COVID, they are taking orders by phone but the menu and the phone number are on the door! There are so many flavors and toppings you can choose from. I love getting my pandan flavored ice cream on the coconut or in a waffle cone. For the price, it is so aesthetically pleasing and so good. Just be careful if you put a lot of toppings because a lot of them can just drop! This place will make you want to come back for more every time :D
google avatar

Samira A.

Yelp
Tasty sweets, I love all of the topping options. I got the Taro ice cream topped with marshmallows, condensed milk and bobas on a waffle. I would've gave them 5 stars but the waffle was burnt so it wasn't as enjoyable. I couldn't eat it all since it was tough and burnt. The workers also knew it was burnt, you could smell it was overcooked while they were making it in the waffle maker.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
So hold up... You're telling me I can get cookie dough ice cream in a waffle cone, topped with whole Teddy Grahams, and get it under $5 in the city? I'm impressed. And this ice cream, it had a buttery sweet goodness to it. Seriously. I'm impressed.
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
Stopped by here after dinner at a nearby restaurant. This place has a variety of unique flavors. The workers recommended Lychee rose so I tried that on a cone with condensed milk drizzle and it did not disappoint! Comes with one free topping and drizzle flavor! The plus is that it has a little patio in front of their store to sit and enjoy their ice cream. Service was also quick. Would return to try their other flavors!

Yelp
This review is long overdue. Came here when they first opened up. A taco spot I love is a few blocks away and this is a perfect finish to that. I've tried a lot of the flavors. Pandan and taro are my go tos when available. Taro has a really mild flavor and it's not too sweet which I like. It's a good accompaniment to any flavor as it won't impart much. Pandan is a little earthy with coconut and hint of vanilla taste. Another flavor that's not too sweet. They let you try before you buy. They can be skimpy on the toppings sometimes. It's expensive but worth it in my opinion. They have a lot of cone varieties and unique flavors. Solid ice cream spot and I definitely stop in when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Came here for ice cream after ayce Korean bbq! I was interested in this place for the different options for cones and ice cream. I got the pandan ice cream on a black vanilla cone. I made it fun by putting fruity pebbles on it Delicious scoop of ice cream and very generous with the portion! My husband and MIL got the cookie dough and they loved their ice cream as well would def. Want to come back and try other flavors.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here today with my hubby! Being pregnant I was really craving an egg waffle ice cream. They have regular flavors but if you know me I go for different flavors. This time I ordered a egg waffle with taro ice cream. Oreo shavings, reeses pieces because why not and to add a little healthy twist I added fresh strawberries This was my second time here but my hubbys first time here. When we went to CA there was a lot of egg waffle places but here in PA I do not think there is a lot of places that do egg waffles. An egg waffle is a must its like funnel cake everyone should come try this place out! Staff is super nice. And because there is still no walk ins you order by calling the number. The full menu is taped to the outside so you can call and order if you have any questions everyone is super nice and can help you.

Yelp
Stopped here for a nice fix of ice cream during COVID-19 times. The order setup was extremely safe and contactless requiring customers to call in orders after viewing menus posted on the windows. The menu featured many unique flavors such as taro, pandan, rose lychee, and more. I called in my order and was greeted by a pleasant employee. I placed my order for a "Sweet Blue Corn Waffle Cone" with "Taro Ice Cream" and "Condensed Milk Drizzle." In under three minutes, my order was brought to a window that was opened and handed over a ledge by a gloved employee. My ice cream cone was also wrapped in a napkin to prevent employee contact. After having my first lick of ice cream, I was amazed by the delicious taro flavor and creaminess. The condensed milk drizzle was minimal, yet added a nice flavor without making the ice cream too heavy. The "Sweet Blue Corn" waffle cone had a subtly salty and sweet flavor that I loved. Overall, I cannot say anything bad about this experience at all. Quality and speed of service was great. My food quality was delicious and enjoyable. I just wish they were open a little later than 9 on a summer night!
google avatar

Yelp
The ice cream offerings at Arctic Scoop proved to be a delightful treat, boasting an array of flavors that were both delicious and memorable. They unfortunately ran out of my favorite flavor Pandan but there are still many other yummy varieties!
google avatar

Yelp
Tucked away in the heart of E. Passyunk Avenue between a pizzeria and a barbershop, Artic Scoop brings many unique ice cream flavors that are delicious. Given the ongoing pandemic, they were very cautious as they required customers to place an order over phone. They had menus posted on the windows and showed the size of the cones and cup as well. The employees are very nice and all wore masks. Artic Scoop had some of the most unique ice cream flavors I have ever seen. My recommendation is to get the Pandan ice cream with fruitty pebbles and condensed milk drizzle. Writing this review has left me wanting to go back already. the only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because of the lack of seating outdoors to eat the ice cream. I also thought $4.50 for one scoop of ice cream was pricey, but definitely worth it if you have it every once in a while. Last, my girlfriend had asked for pretzel topping. As you can see in the photo, they only give one large pretzel rather than crushing it and putting it on top. I wish they would have specified that it was a singular pretzel.

Yelp
Just Your Regular Asian-Esque Ice Cream Bar The flavors of the cones are interesting, but I had a very hard time combining them with the equally interesting ice cream flavors. It felt like in order to create a good combination I had to sacrifice on the cone or the ice cream flavor, I couldn't have both. I really wanted the red velvet cone and the green tea matcha chocolate ice cream, but ended up just getting the cookie dough instead. All in all I thought the food was good. The ice cream had almost like a soft serve texture to it, but the consistency of hard scooped ice cream. The cones were on the brittle side, and of course they're hallow on in the inside, they're not going to be filling up your cone with ice cream. The pandan flavored ice cream I got to try was very earthy, kind of like mugwort but not enough sugar mixed in for me to really enjoy it as the earthy-ness was very overwhelming. The matcha and red velvet cones were exactly what I thought I'd be getting. This definitely seems likes a place catering towards non-Asians on Passyunk Ave, with a price tag to match. I've had better for cheaper, but for the location and what you get I'd still come back if I'm in the mood for some ice cream. I want to come back here to try the egg/bubble waffle cones when I have a bit more room in my stomach!
google avatar

Yelp
My go to ice cream shop in philly -- I've tried most of them and this one stands out as the best. So many great non traditional flavors and so many toppings its hard to pick :D
google avatar

Retna S.

Yelp
Came in before they close for the season to get free cone. The waffle is made fresh. Not overly sweet, crispy on the edges. The ice cream is ok, it's dense instead of creamy. The mochi is a little bit dry. I guess it's because of the end of the season. The strawberry boba tasted very artificial. Don't get this. The guy who helped me with my order was super nice and friendly. He put my free ice cream in a cup with a lid and put the cone on the side. Five stars on customer service.
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
I love this place! I normally just like my ice cream in a cup, but decided why not get a bubble waffle with it, and it was the best decision ever. I love the warm freshly prepared bubble waffle with ice cream.. it's just so good! My go-to flavors are typically taro (it's a type of purple root/yam), pandan, cookies and cream, and strawberry. If you get your scoop in a bubble waffle, or coconut bowl, or waffle cone(?), you get unlimited toppings! (don't get greedy because it gets messy). Some of my fave combos: Taro with fruity pebbles, mochi, or popping boba and condensed milk Cookies and cream with strawberries, oreo dust, and condensed milk Pandan with mochi and condensed milk Best thing is that if you're not sure of a flavor, they'll let you try it!
google avatar

Justin B.

Yelp
I liked it a lot! Of course I got vanilla in a waffle cone. It was delicious. My wife got some rose syrup type Jawn and she loved that. Our friend with us got some coconut type thing and she loved that. I'll go back next time I'm down that way.
google avatar

Ashley Y.

Yelp
Customer service is always important. The staff here are super friendly and patient since we didn't know which flavor we wanted. They also let you try flavors too. Both the Ube and Padan ice cream were really good and def recommend! I love those flavors and the texture of them were really smooth.
google avatar

Yelp
We had an impromptu trip to Passyunk ave and after eating some lunch, we walked towards Arctic Scoop. No lines and ninety degrees outside in the middle of the day was a no-brainer. We tried a few flavors and I decided I had to go with the purple Taro ice cream. My wife went with the lychee rose flavor. With our cones, we also get one topping and one drizzle. There was so much care put into each topping. Seriously, absolute perfection in the way the ice cream cones look. I'm really glad we were able to stop in here and try this place out. There are so many toppings and drizzles you could offer. Ice Cream in a coconut or an Egg Waffle. Different waffle cone flavors too. Most ice cream you want to eat right away. Arctic Scoop will require you to pause until you capture a photo of their masterpiece. Not sure when we'll be back, but we will be back for the waffle... One day...
google avatar

Joey S.

Yelp
Keep in mind, I say three stars for my experience, which very well could've been to my own downfall. This spot seems to be known for their over the top egg waffle cones, loaded with toppings. I didn't get that, and if I went back again, I would. What I did get was a scoop of cookie dough ice cream, with maybe one bite of cookie dough in my scoop (for the longest time I thought they'd just mistakenly given me vanilla). I also asked for my topping if Oreos, which came in dust form, rather than crunchy Oreo pieces. The house made waffle cone was delicious though!
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
We randomly decided to come here after lunch one day. It was a weekday afternoon so it wasn't crowded. The guy working at the counter was friendly and patient and let us sample flavors before deciding. They were out of the mocha chip flavor that I wanted to try. But I guess it kinda was a good thing so I can try other flavors I don't normally have. I ended up getting the lychee rose ice cream in a cone with coconut flakes and a strawberry topping. It was very refreshing on a hot day. Afterwards I was kind of jealous seeing other people's huge egg waffles with all different kinds of ice cream and toppings. I didn't even notice that on the menu and kind of wanted one. But I was full from lunch anyway so my smaller cone was the best choice. We will have to go back another time for the huge egg waffle thing or the ice cream in the coconut. This might be one of our favorite ice cream places now.
google avatar

Jon T.

Yelp
Went here and was in love with the flavored waffle cones. Ice cream is tasty and of good quality. They offer toppings as well. Well worth a stop in. I got cookie dough in a red velvet waffle cone with Oreo cookie dust and chocolate syrup atop.
google avatar

Greg K.

Yelp
I've visited Arctic Scoop twice now and I'm really glad it's only a 10 minute walk from my house. This is now my go to for ice cream. They have delicious flavors, with a great mix of American classics and Asian flavors. The ice cream is tasty, but it's also pretty light, I don't know how else to explain it other than to say I don't feel gross after eating here. The serving size is also great, when I got a cone the entire cone was filled with ice cream. And how can you not love the meticulously placed toppings? Highly recommended all around. I'm lactose intolerant, so I'd love to see some dairy free options in the future. But, either way, I'm fine with popping some lactaid and having their ice cream as is.
google avatar

Gloria L.

Yelp
I stopped by Arctic Scoop with my friend after eating dinner at Sate Kampar. This place was right across the street, so it was a good option for dessert. They are a really cute shop that has a lot of traditional asian ice-cream flavors, like lychee rose, matcha green tea, pandan, and taro. They also have egg waffle cones and some great toppings to choose from, including pocky sticks! I ordered the ice cream scoop, which comes with one scoop of a flavor of ice cream, a choice of a topping and a choice of a drizzle. I got the taro ice cream with mochi and the strawberry drizzle. The taro ice cream is really good! They also stay open pretty late, which is convenient.

Yelp
ive tried several bubble waffle places from different countries, considering that this is an average bubble waffle, service was great and the store had a welcoming feel.
google avatar

Sochietta K.

Yelp
Okay, not really impressed. Came on a Monday night an hour before closing and was told they ran out of flavors already. Tasted: lychee and rose ( not impressed, could barely taste the lychee and rose) Taro ( tasted Powderly) Matcha Green tea ( tasted Powderly) Order: Taro ( brother thought it was okay) Vanilla bean and strawberry ( brother girlfriend thought it was okay, strawberry didn't taste like it had real strawberry)

Yelp
Definitely a favorite dessert place for the fam! It's so unique & incredibly delish!! The kiddos like to keep it tropical with their coconut bowls that come with UNLIMITED TOPPINGS from most recently my daughter made one filled with lychee rose and topped with mochi, strawberries, Pocky...and an umbrella, of course! We absolutely LOVE creating their own fun, colorful treats! The toppings, drizzle options & flavors are incredibly whimsical and unique! Pandan is my eldest daughter's usual go-to, while the little one likes to pile on the Fruity Pebbles. The fam has previously enjoyed treats like red velvet cones with taro, strawberries & strawberry drizzle, a salted blue corn cone with almond cookie ice cream topped with chocolate chips & caramel & coconuts filled with pandan ice cream, sticky rice, & topped with fresh fruit, mochi with condensed milk drizzle with Pocky! Enjoy your own special combo in a cup, house-made cone (hello, green tea & red velvet!!) or even in a Hong Kong street waffle, made fresh & hot to order ! So cool! They have milkshakes & delicious smoothies also! This isn't your typical ice cream shop, that's for sure!! It's really an adventure! Arctic Scoop is currently operating on a call when you're outside/they'll bring it to the door system. No entry at all! Cards requested. It's a super easy, virtually no contact system during COVID Arctic Scoop is without a doubt a shining star of East Passyunk! A MUST!!

Yelp
Such a deliciously creative take on ice cream. Loved the different flavored and color waffle cones, but wish they had the specified flavor a touch more intensely. I also didn't love that they don't provide samples. I didn't want to commit to any of the creative flavors, so I ended up getting my go-to cookies & cream with teddy grahams and a chocolate drizzle. It was great! I wish there were 1/2 ratings, I'd give them a 4.5.
google avatar

Jinsol L.

Yelp
Wonderful creative tasty treats with a wide range of unique flavors! I generally don't go out of my way to get ice cream, but Arctic Scoop is an exception. I had rose lychee on my previous visit and would highly recommend. The rose lychee is very floral and light yet full of flavor, so you can really eat the whole large scoop without feeling sugared out. The toppings/cones are very cute and aesthetically yum too, with a lot of options. I hope to be back soon to try all the different ice cream flavors and toppings!
google avatar

Kyle C.

Yelp
The music selection here is bumping. The ice cream is great too! The seating is basically nonexistent so prepared to be forced outside and eat on the go There are a bunch of fruity exotic flavors you cannot find in the supermarket. The guys behind the counter are friendly and are quick to offer you a sample The egg waffles take five to ten minutes to make and are kind of hard to cut through with a plastic spoon

Yelp
Omg omg omg !!!!! I literally found heaven. I have been looking for a place that reminded me of London and Toronto and I have found it. In fact, it's actually better. All the flavors I tried were so creamy and you can definitely tell it's homemade. They had tons of Asian flavors available along with a few standard ones. I tried almond cookie, taro/ube mixed, lychee lavender, and the pandan flavor. They were all so good and it took me some time to finally decide but I settled for the pandan. I decided to order it in a coconut bowl bc it came with sticky rice and unlimited toppings. If anyone knows me, sweet sticky rice is my jam! The fruit on top of the ice cream were so pretty (as you can see from my photos) and went really well with the coconut and ice cream. My kids ordered the taro and almond cookie in a red velvet cone. Again, it was amazing! Husband ordered pandan in an egg waffle. Now these egg waffles are by far the best I've had ever. He had original one and I ordered green tea flavored (without ice cream). Soooo chewy and perfect flavor. Ahhhhh, I'm craving more and I just left. Can't wait to be back.

Yelp
I came here for my birthday dessert with my family. I knew this will be sweet overload, so after my birthday brunch in center city we decided to walk here from 13th and Walnut. Arctic Scoop is on E. Passyunk near 13th St. It is a small store with very limited seating. Fortunately, when we went we were the only customers so we grabbed the only table that will seat four people. Soon after that more people came in. On their menu board you can see the ice cream flavours, toppings, etc. When we went they only had about 6 flavours, but I thought that was enough. I really wanted to try their lychee lavender ice cream, but I didn't see it. Workers will happily let you taste different flavours, so after tasting pandan I knew I wanted that. My daughter ordered black sesame, and I thought it tasted good, but for me the flavour was a bit too intense. I think from few years ago Philly has caught onto selling egg waffles, but all the egg waffles I have seen sold around here are kind of expensive. I am used to paying $1 - $2 in SE Asia, so definitely a sticker shock. However, if you like egg waffles Arctic Scoop does a good job. I think Arctic Scoop truly serves good ice cream with great customer service. All the workers are really friendly and helpful. This is a place to splurge trying out different and unique ice cream flavours and toppings. Just remember the limited seating, and also, if you get too many toppings it's really difficult to eat because toppings keep on spilling.

Yelp
Words can't describe my excitement that this place exists. I mean...I literally have not been disappointed me yet! First I discovered that not only do they have Taro, but this magical Pandan flavor that's like Taro but sweeter and bright green. The ice cream is always a pretty firm but scoopable texture and doesn't melt too fast, and the staff take their time with the toppings so pretty much everything they hand you looks Insta-worthy. It's one of the only places that has bubble waffles in South Philly, and probably the only place that'll give you a scoop of ice cream in a fresh coconut. If you're just looking for a bargain vanilla scoop, this probably won't do it for you, but if you're looking for a good time, stop by when you're on the Avenue
