On the Grid : Barboncino

"Pizza makes the world go 'round, and Barboncino pizza is definitely no exception. Easily one of the top wood-fired pizzas in Brooklyn, it's become a centerpiece of the neighborhood. With a very chill atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious cocktail menu it's easy to have a really great time here. The crust is made out of pure heaven, and the toppings range from the classic Neapolitan, to the more creative such as clam and eggplant. Come for the pizza, stay for the good vibes." - Kyle & Annie Turman

Wandered into Arden looking for a quick bite after enjoying the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and it was a treat! The Happy Hour menu offers a well rounded variety of bites and more hearty items. The Salmon tartare and the Hamachi on crispy rice were standouts and my companions enjoyed the burgers which were also solid. Great atmosphere and wonderful service. I look forward to coming back and trying their dinner menu. The toffee pudding was tasty, but be advised it’s less dense and more airy than a traditional pudding.

Our first time here was a Sunday afternoon for brunch. We sat at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed everything - the food, wines by the glass, the people who work here. Last Saturday we came back for dinner. Once again, it was lovely on all fronts. While we didn’t have anything from the happy hour menu, our meal (shared the little gems wedge; he had the octopus and shrimp starters for his main course, I had the chicken Marsala) was great. The portions were pretty large, and while I initially had hopes of bringing half my chicken entree home, I ate all of it. The side of corn cooked with miso was fantastic too

One of local place, Would have been all around 5 but soft shell crab was salty and we had the best corner booth so was great not sure if we would like the other regular tables as much bit more crowded to other tables; we enjoyed about $50 per person could have been easily be more with few more appetizers and desserts

The perfect evening. My boyfriend and I were looking to celebrate our 5 year anniversary, we’ve enjoyed their brunch so we decided to stop in on a cold night for dinner. We sat at the bar. We ordered the salmon tartare to start - it was phenomenal - so many flavors and the green sauce has some wasabi in it, the black on top are toasted sesame I think which added a lot of flavor and crunch - I could have eaten one whole serving myself for dinner and be content. I asked them to space out the food which they did very nicely. Next we tried the shrimp - buttery and with the green salsa delicious and cooked to perfection. Next we balled out and couldn’t decide between the lamb shank and the prime sirloin - so we ordered both. I would go back for both of them, they were well balanced and delicious. That lamb shank fell apart in my mouth, with the savory sauce and the smooth mashed potatoes under it. I will be thinking about that meal for a long time. To end the night the manager/owner (not sure his name) but he let us try a few of his favorite liqueurs. He then made us a free little s’mores on his homemade marshmellow (all after we paid so he wasn’t trying to work for a tip) then last we were getting up to leave and he poured me another glass of wine and my partner another of the ipa he was drinking and asked us to stay. We stayed for a while chatting about our favorite neighborhood spots In nyc it’s sometimes hard to get that homey, friendly, neighborhood feel. But here the staff were kind, incredibly attentive, and this was a night we will reflect on for a long time. Thank you Arden! We will be back

I had an incredible dining experience at Arden! The ambiance is perfect, with a cozy yet modern vibe that instantly makes you feel welcome. The food is absolutely delicious, with each dish bursting with flavor and creativity. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail in every course, from appetizers to dessert. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure our meal was flawless from start to finish. Arden is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for a top-notch culinary experience, not to mention tasty drinks!

An absolute treat going for a meal at Arden!Delicious food and incredible service. Every dish and cocktail carefully curated. Definitely one of the best places in Brooklyn to eat right now.

Google
Cute place near botanical gardens with open kitchen. Good oysters, great happy hour, solid wine menu. We had their special (soft shell crab), salmon tartare and burger. All were really good, the burger especially. Service is very solid, atmosphere can be a little loud but doable. Overall great value for money.

Google
We loved our meal at Arden. My wife and I both agreed that this is the best restaurant we’ve been to in a couple years. The burger with the spicy kimchi was delicious but the hen of the woods mushroom dish was the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time. The watermelon salad was also so flavorful. Daily happy hour with food included is also an amazing deal. We can’t wait to come back.

Yelp
I didn't get to this spot when it first opened, but I was there by the time they reached their 1 year anniversary and I'm glad I did. I'm happy to see them succeed. The owners are very friendly and attentive. The chef is sturdy and great at his craft. Nice service and nice selection of drinks. The daily specials are typically posted on their Instagram.

Yelp
This is a charming little spot in Brooklyn. I visited on a Saturday night and was glad I called ahead, as there was over an hour-long wait for the bar. Luckily, I was able to put my name down in advance. The ambiance is lovely, with dim lighting that's perfect for a date night. Starting with the food, I began with the pork belly. The flavors were excellent--perfectly cooked with just the right texture and a hint of spice, balanced nicely by the coleslaw. This dish set high expectations for the rest of the meal. Next came the salmon tartare, which, unfortunately, fell short. The way the salmon was cut made the texture unappealing, and the accompanying wasabi and avocado-based sauce didn't pair well with the dish. It's something I could have skipped. Moving on to the salmon entrée, I had high hopes for the combination of escovitch vegetables, curry purée, and couscous. However, the flavors didn't come together well, and the dish was overwhelmingly salty. While the salmon itself was perfectly cooked, the excessive salt overshadowed it. Still, I was hungry enough to eat it anyway. I ended the meal with the toffee, which was the highlight of the night. It was a satisfying way to conclude the experience, especially after the ups and downs of the other dishes. It's too bad this dessert is seasonal--I'd definitely return just for that!

Yelp
Rustisinal? Artustical? Portmanteaus aside this is a rustic artisanal delight in Brooklyn that isn't full of beards or poseurs. Thoughtful and attentive staff, good ambiance without being over the top, and a great menu. Wife and I were both able to find a couple of items we definitely wanted, and will be back for the other items. Pork chop was exceptional and pared with the hot pepper created an unexpected dish. Salmon was really good and worth considering. Solid wine list. A touch pricey but would return. Might find a less aggressively priced place for future shows down at the Kings Theater.

Yelp
10/10! Excellent food, creative cocktails and mocktails, gorgeous sun-drenched space, and attentive, thoughtful service. The pastrami spiced gravlax was a fan fave, as was the alien superstar cocktail. We absolutely loved our brunch at Arden and know we'll be back soon!

Yelp
Some hits and misses here. I appreciate that they have happy hour food! Wins: yellowtail crudo and the brick roasted chicken (this dish was amazing) Not wins: salmon tartare (not cut properly so texture was off and flavors did not go well together), cheeseburger (appeared patty was pre cooked with some cheese slapped on it that was not at all melted, unlike the table next to us) Staff: they were ok but not overly friendly Smaller place with cute indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
Arden has been on my list ever since I discovered the restaurant accidentally when I lost my phone in Crown Heights one day and a kind patron found my phone and I had to come to the restaurant to retrieve it. I'm a big foodie so shortly after recovering my phone I googled the menu options and remained curious about Arden's offerings. The menu from just reading it sounded delicious, I came during happy hour so I tried out the crab cake slider. The crab cake slider was just fine 8/10 but nothing mind blowing, I found that the crab within the crab cake to be just slightly dry. The Caesar salad was flavorful and fresh I would rate 8.5 leaning towards 9 out of 10. My only critique would be I felt like the bitter leafy greens didn't really complement the salad and the dressing was missing something but overall very tasty it is slightly overdressed but I like my salad overdressed. Lastly, the pork chop it was delicious and smoky and the caramelized onions were so buttery, sweet and full of flavor. The pork chop had a taste to it that gave me waves of nostalgia and reminded me of a rustic home cooked meal with a little bit of a spicy kick from the peppers. Would rate a 9.5/10 Also the service was a 10/10 I sat at the bar but I still received top quality service and attention. Would definitely come back to Arden for a date night or another self care night.

Yelp
Checked out Arden last night with a friend. The staff could not have been sweeter and juggled a relatively busy room with ease, plenty of water and check ins. We got the bone marrow to share and we could have used at least two more people to help us with that dish - it was so rich and meaty it triggered something almost primal. I envisioned myself as a cavewoman nourishing myself for the hard winter ahead. I do not have a single regret from that order, even though it meant I had to pack up the entree for my cave-husband to consume later. The cocktail I had was dangerously flavorful and delicious. Glad we broke out of our routine and tried Arden!

Yelp
Wouldn't recommend sitting at the bar. If you can snag a table otherwise it's a little too crowded. Happy hour special is nice. I ordered the chicken dish and it was just alright, barely any gnocchi to go with the chicken.

Yelp
Lovely night out with my cousin and found this little kept secret of a restaurant. Menu full of choices! Had the salad, octopus, mussels, and salmon - solid. The salmon flavors were good but slightly raw in the center. We ate most of it, so we didn't say anything. It's a bit crowded because it's a small restaurant but the service is pretty well given the space!

Yelp
Arden was a nice quick brunch stop. It tucks the boxes and doesn't leave you wanting more. Feels very neighborhood friendly which is also very nice. Took a bit of time to get our drinks but it was a good day so can't complain. Home fries were well sliced. French toast was really really good and the huevos rancheros had a great crunch.

Yelp
So good, so good! Drinks are so artisanal and the food is even better. I had the fried chicken sandwich, Caesar salad and the ricotta toast and I devoured all on the one sitting. The hot honey and slaw in the chicken sandwich was the sweet and sour balance needed . The apples with the ricotta toast was a pleasant surprise and it balanced the cheese well. The Caesar salad with anchovies on top were great! I sat at the bar for brunch and watched the bar to make the best drinks with house made syrups and rum blends making well Made drinks . The dinner menu is even more extensive so I am willing to try one night.

Yelp
- kitchen open late (until 1045) - that pork chop! - steak was alright - shrimp was delicious, as was the sauce - salad was tasty, kind of over dressed - exquisite service - good drinks - toffee pudding was good, the whipped cream was delcious - good staff recommendations - nice place for celebrations and group meetups - cool soundtrack with a variety of music types, but it all came together - hip environment

Yelp
In the words of Rachel Ray, Yum-o! I knew I was in for a treat, but I honestly didn't know the food would be this good. There was not a single thing we ate that we didn't like. And we ate a lot lol! If I had to force you to choose, do the pork chop, shrimp wraps and burrata. We also enjoyed happy hour (on a Saturday!) and house cocktails. None disappointed. If I lived closer, I would frequent. Best for my wallet that we don't lol. Make a reservation. We had one and the place was crowded so I imagine walk ins may be a tad harder to accommodate some evenings.

Yelp
Really lovely atmosphere for a date night or intimate dinner with friends. The restaurant is small and seating is pretty close together but the ambience is ~dark/vibey~. We arrived before 7pm on a Saturday so we got to enjoy two drinks and the chicken confit from the happy hour menu. The drinks were yummy for a good price and the chicken had a crunchy crispy exterior with a nice kick in the sauce, but the chicken could've been more tender. The side pickled veggies were way too sour and salty though. For our mains we split the broccoli rabe, pork belly, and seafood stew special (I'm forgetting the name). For the Pork belly, the fat was rendered nicely, but meat a little tougher than I would like and needs a bit more salt. The side salad was very intense but good maybe good in the same bite as pork belly. The broccoli rabe was solid. The seafood stew was a great dish on a rainy day, the soup had a bit of a bitter taste though? And the portion size was quite small for the price. Overall food was good, but expected a bit more given the price

Yelp
Very visit to Arden is a feast for the taste buds. The menu remains outstanding with an incredible level of inventiveness. The absolute highlight this time was the Rice Cake Carbonara starter from the Specials menu. The idea to combine rice cakes that are cooked so perfectly that they resemble gnocchi, with traditional, super creamy Italian Carbonara is ingenious. Combining the silky texture and nuttiness of the rice cakes with the saltiness from the delicious pancetta and pecorino romano is match made in heaven!

Yelp
Made reservations for a Thursday at 7:15 and I'm glad I did! The spot was pretty busy and almost all tables were occupied the entire time. For a party of two, we ordered: yellow tail crudo, Caesar salad, salmon and roasted chicken. The yellowtail crudo had a lot of flavor going on. It was tasty! Cesar salad and salmon were also good. My favorite dish was the chicken. The sauce was flavorful and the serving was pretty large. It was a perfect date night spot! Very vibey and it's on Franklin with cute bars just steps away. Would def come back!

Yelp
Food was on par for price. Service workers were nice and polite. They sat us down last minute for 6 people but the ambiance was more date night than family restaurant. Would definitely come back again.
google avatar

Kailyn V.

Yelp
Stopped here for happy hour, I had white wine from the tap which was surprisingly good. Then I had the salmon tartare but it was awful honestly no flavor at all. The location is super cute lots of lighting, nice bar. I sat at the bar so service was quick & easy.

Yelp
My "friends" had the nerve to take me to this carnivorous den of glutinous heathens. Took 1 look at the menu & realized i was in hostile territory when I looked at the menu & saw nothing but some trivial side dishes , for vegetarians. You could have given us at least 1 or 2 appetizers and a main. I guess they're making too much bread to make us a sandwich.

Yelp
I went to Arden for the first time back in August 2023 and I was excited based on the reviews I read. I made a reservation for two at 8:30pm on Friday night. Once my friend and I arrived on time, we were told they were running behind due to another tables order being delayed. The host informed us that we'd have to wait another 15-20 minutes which wasn't as bad as I thought and she offered us to sit at the bar and have a drink on the restaurant due to this slight inconvenience. After sitting at the bar, it did take some time for the bartender to inquire if we wanted to order a drink, but it was obviously a busy night for the restaurant, so we took that time to look at the menu. For cocktails, I ordered the Seen & Not Seen and my friend ordered the Red Roses For Me. They were both were pretty good! A few moments later, the host sat us at our table and we ordered our appetizer Chicken Wing Confit, which had a lot of flavor and the tamarind sauce was spicy yet sweet which was a great balance with the pickled veggies. For our entrees we both ordered the Brick Roasted Giannone Chicken dish with a side of Tuscan Potatoes to share. The chicken could've been baked or pan fried a little more, since I like a crisper skin, The jalapeño peach chutney with the corn with the chicken was a great flavor pairing as well, different but I enjoyed it! The potatoes were perfect, because the spices and char was just right. Overall, I had a great first dining experience and will be back again.

Yelp
It was generally okay. Not terrible but (for me) not a must go back. There was no AC and as someone who gets hot it was just an uncomfortable eating experience The staff was very nice and attentive. I got the shrimp and grits - not my favorite that I've have had but it was good. I think I was expecting more of a savory flavor and got more of very light flavor. The cocktails were not sugary which I really liked. Definitely planning to come back though and try something else on the menu !

Yelp
Food and drinks were delicious and on point. Place felt spacious and open with a great alcohol menu. Staff were friendly and attentive. I went for a birthday dinner and would definitely go again!

Yelp
Upscale American bar and restaurant. My wife and I had dinner here on a Thursday evening after a visit to the Brooklyn Museum. We were seated immediately. They had a nice bar with a fair selection of wines, some house cocktails, and a few local craft beers on draft. Atmosphere was welcoming yet it certainly had more of a trendy feel. Food wise, we started with the chicken wings. They were served in a sweet and spicy scotch bonnet sauce. Really delicious, Cantonese-American style sauce. The wings had what I'd call a thin and crispy Korean style fry to them. Absolutely perfect in my opinion. Chicken wings were my favorite item of the evening and included in the happy hour special at $11 for five pieces. They were served with a lightly pickled assorted veggie slaw. For the main course, I had the happy hour burger which included a serving of beer. I believe the draft pours were about a cup (approximately 8 oz). The special was $23 and I had another happy hour pour of their Pilsner ($6), so I figure I had a 4 oz burger and a full pint for $29. Burger was cooked medium well and had a nice sear on it. Star of the burger were the toppings: the kimchi slaw and the house sauce. It came with thick cut fries with an interesting vinegar seasoning. Service was attentive and helpful. Scott, the owner, was floating around and made sure we had a great experience. There was one gender neutral restroom.

Yelp
I recently had a dinner date at Arden and it was a memorable experience! One of the owners, Scott, was very welcoming and hospitable during my visit. The restaurant is super cozy and which makes for a great date spot. For the drink, I had the Painkiller (Rum, Coconut, Pineapple, Orange, Nutmeg). I'm a rum girl and did this drink did not disappoint. For food, I started with the Roasted summer corn, which had miso, scallion, and tajin. It was full of flavors and if I had bread, I would've scraped up every kernel before they took the plate. For my entree, I had the Crispy Skate. I had never tasted gribiche before, but it tasted great. It definitely had my taste buds jumping. I also enjoyed the accompanying fennel, arugula, and watermelon radish. My date had the Prime NY Strip Steak, but substituted the potatoes for French fries. He really loved his dish and shared that it's his favorite thing in the menu. For dessert, I tried out the Flourless Chocolate Torte. It was okay. I kinda regret not getting the Salted Caramel Crème Brulee. Next time perhaps! All in all, I had an amazing experience at Arden. The service was exceptional and the food was made with love. I highly recommend! Hope to return soon!
google avatar

Linda M.

Yelp
Super excited to go back! I returned and it was a lovely experience. The food again was consistently good. We had the special of the night which turned out to be the scallops. In addition, we started with some delicious oysters and the burrata. All great! Service was incredibly top notch. Very responsive without being overbearing. Great evening overall!

Yelp
I would say I enjoyed everything I ordered here; that being said, I wasn't necessarily wowed by any of the dishes. They use fresh, high quality ingredients which shows. Their cocktails are beautiful and well balanced. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the gulf shrimp, sea bass crudo, chicken confit, pork belly, and pork chop. Pork belly just melted in your mouth. Flavors for the shrimp were on point. Pork chop I thought was slightly over cooked. Overall it's a beautiful restaurant and a a good choice for dinner.

Yelp
Cutest wine bar with a fantastic menu and wine program. The staff are so friendly! The setting is perfect for dates or if you need a place to bring friends from out of town. Get the bone marrow!
google avatar

Sean M.

Yelp
This place still got that new restaurant glow! A perfect date spot that isn't too loud and isn't deathly quiet. The owner is friendly and the waiters and service is super accommodating. But of course I can't forget the food -- the pork belly specifically is a must have. Always ask for their specials as they rotate and change often and they're almost always a guaranteed happy belly on a budget!

Nicole S.

Yelp
This is a gem of a restaurant. My partner and I love both brunch and dinner. And the service is top notch - the owner checks in on us. They always have you sample the wine which is a great touch. Tonight we tried the cod special with sticky rice - phenomenal. The vegan Hen of the Woods is super yummy. Brunch potatoes have the perfect tecture and flavor. And their cold brew coffee is so good. I have eaten here at least a dozen times and I've never had a bad meal.
google avatar

Courtney G.

Yelp
Food was delicious, ambiance is great, servers are attentive and kind! My friend and I came on a Saturday night at 6:15 so we could make happy hour. I also love that they have happy hour on the weekends and that it goes until 7! We each got the Surfin Bird which I was skeptical of at first because it had cinnamon in it - but you don't taste the cinnamon at all! Our waitress also stopped by our table a few minutes before 7 to see if we wanted to get another round in before happy hour ended which is SO NICE. I HATE when restaurants purposely avoid you / don't want you to get another HH drink in in time. Just a testament to the incredible service here. We also got the crudo which was DELICIOUS. I haven't stopped thinking about it ... We got the bone marrow toast which I could honestly do without next time. I'd love to try another item ! We split the brick roasted chicken which was seasoned perfectly and ate up all the veggies on the plate. I love this restaurant and can't wait to bring other friends and family here soon.

Yelp
I am way less enthusiastic about Arden than the Crown Heights community. Arden is a tiny restaurant that can get very cramped. Bar stools are uncomfortable, and it can get noisy. I began with the Octopus. The Octopi were overcooked, and the sauce had way too much spice. My Mussels were not very fresh, and the toast points were Pepperidge Farm whole wheat sliced bread. A glass of Cabernet Franc was tasty. Somebody in this establishment is a big Hall and Oates fan. Who's still listening to Maneater in 2024?
google avatar

Ben G.

Yelp
Decided to try this nice small spot on a date night with the wife. We were not ready for how delightful the food, drinks, service, and ambiance turned out! The drinks were absolutely fantastic and all the food items are reasonably priced and full of flavor! No misses whatsoever. The special was a steak with crab and asparagus that was the star of the evening! This will be a repeat visit location for sure.

Yelp
Occupying the space where Glady's once was and that has stood empty since June 2021; and owned by Scott Dansby and Mark Mata, who first met at the now closed East Village Mermaid Inn[1], Arden may actually offer the best food you can get on Franklin Avenue. Arden has a cozy, unpretentious vibe, massive windows, and features a spectacular wood fire grill. This is a great place for a low-key yet impressive date, celebrate an anniversary, or to catch up with friends. Walk-ins are welcome, but since the space is small I highly recommend you make a reservation online[2], or you come after 9pm. The drinks menu features inventive cocktails, and and extremely well curated wine list. In fact, Mr. Dansby will gladly provide excellent wine suggestions. For starters we had the wonderful Little Gems & Chicories salad, and the super-flavorful Broiled Oysters Kilpatrick. Our main dishes were the Amish Pork Chop and the Crispy Skate. I loved the grilled cabbage in the pork chop, and the skate is a fantastic dish that also looks amazing with the watermelon radish. We finished our dinner with the Lemon Curd Tart, which was brought to us directly by chef Mata. Service was spectacular. We were actually given free drinks because the guests in front of us took longer than expected to finish their dinner and free up our table, and Mr. Dansby also gave us complimentary glasses of wine at the end of our dinner. I look forward to coming back again. I definitely want to try the Seared Gulf Shrimp, and the Roasted Hen of the Woods. ------------------ [1] https://www.instagram.com/p/CeRgwnOOvXZ/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=8ce800f6-c53d-463c-a865-382fae36b47a [2] Through Resy: https://resy.com/cities/ny/arden-brooklyn?date=2022-06-07&seats=2

Yelp
Out of Gladys ashes comes Arden with Mermaid Inn chef cred. Airy corner spot with warm lighting & wood with incredible smells from the wood fired oven. An overall amazing food experience. Ate: Oysters Kilpatrick Mussels with smoked tomato soffrito parsley Chicken Moroccan style with Romano beans Amish pork chop with vinegar peppers Heirloom carrots labneh The oysters are off the charts. Mussels also delicious with smoked tomato.. Carrots are charred & contrasting flavors of lemon & creamy labneh. Chicken with hints of curry & pork chops - whoa, vinegar peppers & cabbage-smoky delicious. Wood fired oven fired up the flavors! Arden is Destined to become a Brooklyn classic!

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious. I wish our service matched the phenomenal energy of our meal. Our waiter yelled at us and told us he "would never have seated us" if he saw my partner's service dog who was strapped inside a bag and tucked away from the table. He didn't ask us any questions that would legitimate the service dog's presence or offer other solutions besides frantically and aggressively speaking down on us and insinuating we leave. We absolutely understand the need to protect his job and follow the rules that are in place at the establishment. However there are legal rules that ALL establishments must follow in regard to actual service animals trained for public spaces. He immediately went to raising his voice and attempting to shame us publicly for a non-issue that could have easily been remedied if he asked for the paperwork that we carry. For this to be a business based in a predominantly Black and Brown community, and us being the only Black people present, I would bring your money elsewhere that honors you as a customer, community member, human being, and/or disabled person. There are other fantastic restaurants along this street!

Yelp
Had dinner here last night before heading to Kings Theatre. Did not disappoint. The pork chop was my best ever. Period. Other tasty dishes included the chicken, salmon and an assortment of sides. It's best to make a reservation for dinner, as it's a bit cramped. But I highly recommend.

First time here for dinner and we were so pleasantly surprised by how excellent it is! Surprised because so many places have opened in this area that have been a disappointment and pricey. We had the brick chicken and a fish and chips special and both were excellent, especially the chicken, with its tropical piri piri seasoning. The meals were delicious and deeply satisfying. The martinis were excellent and the wine selection was thoughtful, and we liked the orange wines we ordered. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Arden is a great place for a Friday night dinner. It's small and quaint. Not too loud - neither the crowd or the music. The food is consistently good and the cocktails are just right. Definitely give it a try if you're in the neighborhood! My favorites are typically the apps and the lemon custard dessert.

Yelp
Aside from an epic conversation, ambiance was nice. Service was nice. Happy hour also great on a Saturday (5-7) esp for such a hopping spot in prospect park area. But, the food and drink were just ok. Painkiller was yummy but light. $8 for the cab franc was justified. Potatoes were ok. Slider- good but so small and so pricey even at HH price! Think 2 White Castle burgers at $7-8, sans crack flavor of White Castle- it really was just a basic mini 4 biter. Calamari also just requisite. Gem salad was the highlight.

Yelp
What a great brunch place! Love the ambiance, music, and service was comforting, attentive, and fulfilling. The flavors of the huevos rancheros complimented eachother and the presentation was beautiful. Will definitely be back to try dinner and so far highly recommend for brunch!

Yelp
This place is worth making a reservation in advance! We got lucky walking in and sitting at the bar but so happy we did! The gnocchi is to die for! Definitely need to go back and try everything else!

Yelp
Yum! Stopped by for a family brunch and was greeted by the owners in a cute (but packed!) shop. We ordered the steak and eggs as well as the Nashville hot chicken sandwich off the brunch menu. The steak was nicely cooked and not chewy What so ever! But the chicken sandwich... wow did the spice kick!!!!!! So crunchy but the slaw was so good. Can't wait to come back to try more itmea

Yelp
They use their cancellation fee to charge you PER PERSON. On the website it says one fee but they don't stipulate it's per person on the reservation. I was fine with the $25 fee but to make it per person is unfair.

Yelp
This is in response to VEGGIE T who wrote a very unpleasant and uninformed review. As a former 'glutinous heathen' now a pescatarian - I LOVE THE CHOICES AT ARDEN!! Did you bother to research the menu prior to letting your friends(?) take you to the restaurant. They serve an amazing ROASTED HEN OF THE WOODS MUSHROOM ENTREE (Vegan)and SALMON TARTARE, CEVICHE TARTARE, POPCORN SHRIMP LETTUCE CUPS, WARM BURRATA, SEARED GULF SHRIMP to name a few options. Shame on you for not doing your due diligence and don't your friends know you or care!??!

Yelp
Really liked Arden. It's a tight squeeze but has an appealing aesthetic. Appetizers (two salads: Caesar & crab) were good but not great. Our entrees, on the other hand, were fantastic. Can't recommend the chicken enough. The gnocchi and salmon were also highly praised. Finished things off with the sticky toffee. Was good. Looking forward to going back. I want to make my way through the excellent menu.

Yelp
Amazing food and service!! The short ribs special was truly one of the best meals I've had. Super intimate little restaurant. Definitely check it out!
