"Area Four offers some of the best Neapolitan-adjacent pizza in Greater Boston, with standout options like the 'Not Pepperoni' and mushroom pizzas, and a cozy atmosphere for a relaxing evening." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

"While Area Four built its reputation serving wood-fired pizza, there’s a lot more on the menu, especially at the restaurant’s South End offshoot. During brunch (10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday), there’s a shakshuka made with baked eggs, roasted peppers, and cilantro harissa." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

My friend and I had the pleasure of trying Area Four during both daytime and nighttime hours. During the day they have a cool cafe over on the side that sells coffee/tea and pastries. I tried the egg danish and the seasonal danish. Both were extremely flaky and had good lamination. The star for me, though, is definitely the pizza. The crust is somewhere between Neapolitan and New Haven in style. The combination of sausage and pickled peppers meshed really well and made for a delicious pie.

Pizza cooked to perfection. Creative cocktails like the barbie drink. The honey glazed cheese balls was definitely the highlight. The garlic knots had a different spin and we're good. Would recommend and go back.

Good service and great pizzas! The south end location has an outside patio of three tables. 1) The Florentine was good but not amazing - too much egg and the crust was slightly more burnt than usual. I added the smoked ham and pineapples which added a reallllyyy nice touch - toppings were too few though. I feel like without those extra toppings, the pizza would've been way too plain. It could've used a little more garlic sauce. Also could've used some herbs like scallions or cilantro. 2) The Hawaiian pizza is amazing!! Would get it again. Would recommend getting extra pineapples though. The cilantro is an amazing taste that makes every bite refreshing and helps take the pizza to the next level. The tomato sauce is really good as well. Crust was fluffy and not too burnt. 3) Breakfast in Bed pizza (not pictured) - it was okay. Too much sour cream. It overpowered the other flavours.

I had a really good meal here the other day. The last of my long road trip up north. This is kind of a pizza place and breakfast spot together as one. It’s nice and trendy. I had what I think was called the morning mess or something like that. Cajun grits, shrimp, hot sausage and a couple of eggs. I’m forgetting a couple of other things but it was great. It was really good. I had a caramel apple desert as a carry out and it was good. It might’ve been even better if it had been eaten fresh. The waitress was good and cared. She made sweet tea when they don’t really serve it. I might have made it a tad sweeter but she came close. I would’ve been happy with unsweetened tea but she said make up some. I don’t think they really do sweet tea in Boston. I really appreciated it though. It was a really good late breakfast. If I didn’t live a thousand miles away I’d go again.

Five star for Boston standard. This is the best pizza I have had in Boston. The dough here is much better than the Area Four in Cambridge.

Carnivore Pizza and Bolognese were good. Wasn’t spectacular necessarily but I would come here again—good casual spot, with good beers.

Came here for brunch. Loved the cinnamon roll, it's drenched in icing and caramel and studded with bacon. The breakfast sandwich was also very good. Area four is a very cute space with high ceilings, lots of light and they put the menus inside vintage record covers. Funky vibe. Great service.
