Family-run and proudly Venezuelan, Arepa Pueblo griddles masa to order and stuffs it generously—pabellón, reina pepiada, or vegan plantain-black bean combos. Praised by local food writers and campus press, it feels like an invitation to someone’s table.

I had a Venezuelan food experience at Arepa Pueblo, and it was good overall. We tried the shredded beef and cheese empanadas, and they were both freshly fried, perfectly crunchy and delicious. We also had the patacón with sweet plantains, which was huge! For drinks, we ordered a caramel latte and a cappuccino. The caramel latte was good but not the best we’ve had, though I appreciated that they made it darker as requested. The cappuccino was nice, and they offer different milk options, which is great. One highlight was the variety of sauces—they had a garlic-cilantro sauce, a spicy one with a nice kick, and a pink sauce. The only downside was that the prices felt a bit high, especially since it’s a self-service setup where you order at the register and then sit down. But overall, it was a solid spot for Venezuelan food here in Pines!

Our next family food adventure take us to  Arepa plueblo located in Pembroke Pines with a category of 5.6 and more than 652 reviews, walking around we founded this place. Traditional Venezuelan decoration, I think that the owner's idea achieved its objective, that you feel like you are in the country of origin of the food they offer, which is very diverse and exquisite. The customer service is the best because it is a family business, they make you feel at home and the background music, if you are Venezuelan, transports you to Caracas. But the most special thing is the food we ordered Llanera arepa Two cheese empanadas A Cod Empanada Two passion fruit juices A medium latte Everything changes when you take your first bite. It was an incredible experience. The crunchy and fresh flavor of the ingredients make the perfect combination so that you have an explosion of flavors and memories on your palate. Thanks to Arepa Pueblo for this culinary experience that is difficult to forget.

Google
I was taking my grandmother to a doctor’s appointment and wanted to stop by for a coffee afterwards. I found Arepa Pueblo and it literally a jem! The place was very beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Jeffery was kind, passionate, and professional. They make everything in house and use organic beans for coffee. The coffee, cappuccinos, and empanadas were AMAZING!! I would definitely come back and recommend.

As Venezuelan I am always willing to try different arepas, this restaurant was beyond amazing and service was great. Coffees are very good here as well. For all vegan and lactose intolerant they also offered almond and coconut milk which I find to be very nice. I would definitely go back especially for the amazing service.

Google
Visited Arepa Pueblo for the first time and had a latte/cafe con leche paired with a steak arepa. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped me decide on my lunch. The hospitality and warmth were standout! I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee and arepa, though my preference is for a medium rare steak, and I'm accustomed to melted cheese. I understand Latin restaurants often cook meat well-done, and I'm not familiar with the typical Venezuelan arepa preparation. One thing to note is that this place leans on the pricier side, a trend becoming common everywhere. While I'd recommend and happily return, a slight improvement in both the quality and quantity of the meat would make it even better. Looking forward to my next visit at Arepa Pueblo! 🙌🏽

Google
I love this spot! For breakfast, lunch or dinner! I am currently pregnant, and all this baby wants for breakfast lately is an arepa with huevos pericos and white shredded cheese. There empanadas are great, and so are the tequeños. Their seasoning reminds me of my mom and her mom’s. I’m obsessed. If I don’t have time to go, or am too busy, I just get it off of Uber Eats! Highly recommend it! 🥰

Google
Excellent, delicious food, great service (delivery through Uber Eats)! My friends at the party loved the different Venezuelan appetizers! Thank you!!

Google
Excellent mom and pop store in central Pembroke Pines. Have plenty of tables to sit down. Staff and atmosphere was also great especially for families. For a family of four the price will be arround 65-70.

Yelp
This was amazing! Super fresh and extremely good. The customer service was also great, very friendly and professional. The inside of the restaurant was also very clean.. will definitely come back!

Yelp
I love coming here it always looks spotlessly clean. The owners are very hospitable. We started with my favorite appetizer vegan tostones (4 pieces). Listen if you are the type of person that just chews once and swallows their food, then you are doing an injustice to the culinary masterpiece of flavors in this appetizer. The flavors is amazing. Wait time for entree was a few minutes. We had arepa llanero with shredded chicken this time. Did not disappoint. My daughter actually says she prefers it now, to steak. The mix of flavors is enhanced with the avocado topping. The sauce is a bonus but not needed since it's juicy on its own. She had chocolate I had coffee with milk and sugar.

Yelp
This is a very expensive place to eat. I go with two more people to eat even AppleBee, and I only cost me 50% less that the amount of money I paid for 8 empanadas, two cachapas and some chicharrron. Arepa Pueble will be the last resorce to get food. I will never recommnedd it.

Yelp
In the hopes of finding a new & different place for breakfast, we found this hidden gem via Yelp. So glad we decided to give it a try. Let me be clear, I have no idea what makes a good arepa, but mine was delicious! I had the vegan arepa. It was FILLED with plantains, avocado and black beans. The avocado was perfectly ripe and the arepa had a lot of flavor. My husband had the grilled chicken arepa. Also filled. My husband said it was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. He loved the sauces that came with it. We started with the tostones vegano. It was absolutely delicious and full of layers of flavor. I also had a latte, which was presented beautifully. I would have liked it a little hotter, but it was delicious. Looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
First thing you notice when you go to Arepa Pueblo, is the super friendly service from the owner and her daughters. I talked with her and it felt like we knew each other for a long time. The food, the main reason you should come here, was amazing. We had 4 or 5 different types of empanadas and they were all delicious. The tequen~os were also delicious and crunchy. We didn't get to eat at the local, but next time we will since it is a really cute place. I'll say everything we had, was 5 out of 5

Yelp
I think I inhaled my plate of food, I told the waiter (He was super nice) that I just wish I could go back in time and eat it all again! Our total for a combined build your own plate and one Arepa with two coffees was about $32 - pricey, but for how hungry we were it was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend coming to this place! The plantains are absolutely delicious, and a different table are really good and combination, if we ever come back here this is where I'm eating

Yelp
I personally think this place should be called Empanada Pueblo instead because wowww weeeeee were the empanadas excellent!! The arepas were nice but the empanadas were exceptional. The perfect dough, fried perfectly, incredible filling seasoned delightfully. We only got the ground beef and the shredded beef so we are excited to go back and try all the empanada flavors. The 2 table sauces were nice accompaniments. Salad was a great size for sharing for 2 people. Cool spot, we'll be back!!!

Yelp
I'm so happy I found this place! The food here is amazing. It's a cute little homey shop on the inside and def gives me Venezuelan vibes. The food comes out pretty quick and seems to be cooked to order. I'm not sure if the food is pre prepared or freshly made as it's ordered. Either way, it's always hot and delicious. The workers are always friendly and patient. So,I've been here about 5 times already. I typically order their tequenos (cheese and breading) as a tasty snack to go.I recently tried their Pabellion Arepa and it is to DIE for. I love the combo of cheese, black beans, shredded beef and plantains! One of my favorite restaurants in the area.

Yelp
We came here for the first time a couple of months ago when visiting Ft Lauderdale in April and had to come back on this trip too. Jeffrey was so great, always asking if we needed anything and the food was amazing. We got shredded beef arepas and empanadas and everything was so good! The garlic sauce is seriously drinkable!

Yelp
Authenticity is one of the biggest things I look for when looking for these restaurants. And I must say, this provides it. The food is as fresh as it gets. You can tell almost everything they have is handmade and made with love. I plan on seeing this as a Venezuelan spot to gonto often. And I might see this as Date Recommended.

Yelp
I have come and eaten a few times. Great food. Always look forward to having one of their delicious arepas.

Yelp
Excelente! Delicioso! Servicio increíble. Volveré cada que regrese a Pembroke Pines (vivo en Texas). A la próxima pediré un café ya que tiene muchas reseñas sobre lo bueno que es. Excellent! Delicious! Service was great. I will come back to Arepa Pueblo every time I visit Pembroke Pines (I live in Texas). Next time I will try the coffee which I read excellent reviews about.

Yelp
Very good, very hefty arepas. The service is great. This was my wife and I dinner for 2 weeks when we moved into the aria.

Nat A.

Yelp
The best empanada I've ever had in my life... and I've been living in Miami for 25 years. They're so crunchy, hot, and delicious, yet light. The sauces make it even better. I mixed all 3 together for the perfect taste. I also had the nutella cappuccino with a double shot of espresso and it was really yummy, not too sweet. My bf had the plate of steak with rice and beans with a hefty side or avocado. Definitely worth the money. Sooo good!!
google avatar

Grace G.

Yelp
Really wanted an arepa and this totally hit the spot! The empanadas were fire and the arepa was delicious! It was a bit slow to get the food but overall great place, nice people and great food!

Yelp
There is a reason this place is one of yelps top ten restaurants in Broward county on2018. They have definitely earned it. First impressions is a lasting one. To start, they keep this place very clean, the service is pretty good and the people are very friendly. The food! Oh man is it good! Before eating here I had never eaten in an arepa restaurant. I don't know what I have been waiting for! We started out with a couple of appetizers, a ground beef empanada and an order of the tostones vegano. The empanada was incredible, I'm pretty sure it was not a frozen one. It was enormous and it tasted yummy. The tostones vegano, it's a plantain pressed into a small cup filled with tomatoes, onions, avocado and top with avocado pure, just incredible. After that my wife and I had areas. My wife had the vegan arepa and I had the grilled chicken arepa. My wife's was over stuffed with beans, plantains and some really good avocado. In fact my wife hasn't stopped talking about how good it was. With so many wonderful options I was having a hard time deciding, I ended up going for the grilled chicken arepa. It was so over stuffed I had to eat some off the chicken first so it wouldn't fall out. Let me tell you about the chicken, it was good by it self, now stuff it to the arepa. OMG!! Just INCREDIBLE!! Alli know is that both of us can't wait to try this place again.

Yelp
Heavenly pabellon arepa at Arepa Pueblo. They're located in a plaza with sufficient parking. It's bright and clean. Enjoyed the cheerful colors & decor. The service was polite. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to you. Having looked at the menu prior to arriving, I already knew what I was ordering. I knew it was the one when it made my mouth-water as I read the description on their menu. However I did give the menu & specials a final look before ordering. Just in case ;) Bites recap: Pabellon Arepa - hearty with savory seasoned shredded beef, black beans & sweet plantains topped with a shredded salty white cheese in a crispy sturdy a arepa. Wow just wow, so good. Two sauces accompany the arepa, a green garlicky one and a red one with a little spicy kick. Both were delicious and paired really well with the pabellon arepa. It's a savory, sweet and salty flavor explosion. The food is fresh, made to order, full of flavor and affordable. Definitely a new spot for my Venezuelan arepa/food cravings.

Candia J.

Yelp
Quiet hang out spot in Pembroke Pines. The restaurant was empty, however the service was kinda of slow. I ordered the Pabellon arepa. This was my first time eating arepa so I'm not sure what it should taste like. The steak was slightly high in salt but the sweet plantain compensated for that. Overall, the arepa was satisfying. I recommend the restaurant and the menu is broad. The server was nice!

Yelp
Dropped by for a morning bite after the gym. Went with the grilled steak arepa. Small order for the pricing, but the meat was cooked perfectly (medium-rate) and tasted great with the sauces provided.
google avatar

Yelp
Staff was very helpful explaining the menu and very nice while they served us. The food was hot and fresh and very flavorful! The dining room is cute and comfortable.
google avatar

Yelp
First time trying this place the arepa was Very filling. Covered in cheese and butter. They have many options to pick from and fillings . I got the Gouda cheese And I would get it again. I'll be full for hours
google avatar

Yelp
Don't even bother with the other arepa joints they are nothing compared to this is place. I am a gringo that lived in Venezuela for 20!years and I ate my share of arepas this place is the real thing and try the empanadas. I've been coming here since they opened and frankly go no where else for arepas.

Adonis S.

Yelp
Amazing flavors and great service , definitely coming back. Recommend to get shredded beef arepa omg chef kiss

Yelp
My partner was arepa happy after eating mini arepas with crema and carne asada with avocado arepa. Arepa Pueblo is a fast casual eatery with mainly Arepa sandwiches, empanadas, breakfast and a few plated meals. They also serve cute latte art coffees that we have to try another time. The arepas were slightly crunchy and delicious and the cheese was plentiful and slightly salty. My partner said they were made well. I enjoyed the avocado arepa that was bursting with cheese and avocado. Fresh squeezed orange juice was great and refreshing. The restaurant is clean and comfortably decorated but it did take some time for the food to be ready. The employees seemed friendly.

Yelp
Arepa Pueblo saved my marriage. As we were ready to drive off after leaving this place, my husband took my hand, gazed into the depths of my soul and said, "Honey, I'm so happy with you." We didn't argue once while having lunch. We were in a good mood for the rest of the day. The birds were singing and the skies were blue. We didn't even care about getting directions home afterwards, we just drove. On our way home, we noticed a jogger and were convinced she was sprinting towards Arepa Pueblo. Where else could she be going with such dedication? Guys, seriously. This place. You walk in and the place has the happiest decor, nostalgic of Venezuela. Jeffrey was behind the counter and made recommendations, took our orders, and was so freaking patient and nice. We got the chicken arepa with cheese, the arepa Pabellon with added avocado, a café late, tres leches, blackberry juice, and a can of Colombiana. The Pabellon arepa has sweet plantains, shredded beef, cheese, and black beans. It was fireeee. The chicken arepa was really good too. After we each finished our arepas, we ordered another chicken arepa and split it. The chicken was soo juicy and had amazing flavor. The coffee was delicious and the blackberry juice was natural and not too sweet. They also have a spicy sauce which is vegan and a garlic sauce that is mayo based and sooo good. It was a party in my mouth. From the lips of my husband and the thoughts in my brain, "I haven't been this happy with a restaurant in a long time."

Yelp
Arepa Pueblo has been on my list for some time and tonight, in our search to find something different to eat, we decided to go here and boy, this place did not disappoint! Arepa Puebla has an expensive list of different coffees and natural juices, various options of arepas and empanadas and different platter options. Our server was very helpful with explaining the menu items and he was also very patient as we all decided what to eat I ordered the New York strip steak platter with avocado, tostones, and an arepa. My husband ordered the tuna arepa and my son ordered the white rice and black beans. In addition we order the passion fruit juice and orange juice. We were amazed at how fresh and flavorful every thing was. Our food was absolutely delicious and you could tell it was homemade and made with a lot of love.

Yelp
My mother told me about this place and I decided to give it a try . I called in an order for takeout and the guy in the front was very helpful and quick. I tried an arepa filled with cheese and an order of teqüeños (cheese sticks) The arepa was greatly filled and you must try the green sauce they give you (or ask for it) The portion of the teqüeños was more than I imagined and perfect as well. BUT my favorite part of my entire day was my Nutella Capuchino yum! Will be back

Autumn J.

Yelp
Everything was cooked fresh. The lady at the front helped me decide which Arepa to get which was very fresh and the empanadas are very good. I will most definitely be back. Thank you

Yelp
The plaza doesn't look like much but this cafe consistently has yummy empanadas and good coffee.

Yelp
Some arepas I've had in the past are too dry but not here-- they have perfected their craft. Their green and pink sauce are also perfectly balanced. But besides the food being delicious, the service was very warm & welcoming. Felt like I was eating a family friends home. The business is family-owned and it shows. Very sweet ppl and authentic, quality food. Can't wait to eat here again.
google avatar

Derick D.

Yelp
Delicious, authentic, Venezuelan cuisine. The arepas are awesome. They have a nice variety to choose from such as: chicken, egg, steak, chorizo, pork belly, roasted pork, chicken and avocado salad, roasted pork, tuna, ground beef, cheese, and a vegan option. The arepas are very inexpensive but quite filling. They are made to order and are very fresh. They also serve breakfast, empanadas, tequenos, tostones, salads, and a few other dishes including desserts. They also have chicha, a creamy cinnamon beverage. Highly recommend for a quick bite. Service is great. Pay at the counter and food is brought to you.

Yelp
I love this place so much! Arepas have quickly become one of my favorite foods, and this place knows how to do it right! Everything tastes fresh and delicious, and just downright flavorful. I often catch myself dreaming about arepas so it's amazing that this place is so close to where I work. If you've never tried Tequenos, please do, it's like the better Venezuelan version of mozzarella sticks and they come with a dipping sauce that is creamy and delicious! Ive been here twice now, and I know I'll keep coming back, there's lots on the menu to try, but I know that no matter what it's gotta have some of their delicious garlic sauce on top! So happy, thank you guys for doing what you do. Make sure to stay true! And to top it off, they make some great coffee drinks Perfect for that afternoon pick me up!

Yelp
I love a good arepa! My BF found this spot for us to have breakfast. Let's just say that I wish I lived closer haha these arepas are made fresh and they are so delicious. They are stuffed to the max!! The cheese tequeños are also very tasty. I love how they aren't greasy. I'm guessing they bake them. Also, the drink that we got was very flavorful. The service was great, the food came out fairly quick and the place was very cleaned! Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Maria Z.

Yelp
This place a hidden gem! I just can't believe the deliciousness of the food! Every time I come here (which is once a week, at least I try to) I enjoy the best food! Give it a try, you will not be disappointed

Trevor M.

Yelp
I recently discovered arepas a few years ago and have become obsessed with them. Then one day I learned of this place and I decide to order it in for delivery. So I was skeptical about delivery because not all food is made for delivery, some items you just need to go in the restaurant to eat. Delivery wise, worked great, food came hot, it wasn't exploded all over the place, the sauce is packed separate so nothing gets soggy. I tried a couple different meats and they all were really good, meat is tender and not fat. The best thing is they stuff the arepa full, it's not like you get a couple pieces, the fill it all the way up. Now my surprising favorite is the tostones, has so much flavor and super filling. Overall, I will be trying all the other items they have on their menu, definitely worth trying and it's not super pricey.

Yelp
The best arepas, empanadas and pabellón you won't be desapoint the best Latin food and Amazon arepas in Pembroke Pines , highly recommend

Daisy R.

Yelp
I was the only customer when I first entered so I was greeted promptly. I was craving an arepa with scrambled eggs and cheese as I used to order in Orlando. They didn't have that exactly on the menu, but they made it for me nonetheless. The latte I ordered as well was delicious and had beautiful presentation. I wasn't too impressed with the actual arepa unfortunately. Maybe I'll come again and try what they have on the menu since, to their defense, I did a custom order.
google avatar

Andie D.

Yelp
Outstanding! Everything from the service to every single item of the menu is amazing. The arepas are perfect size, perfectly cooked, fresh and the fillings are top notch. The empanadas are small but so tasty and extremely crispy! It makes you want to have 5 of them. The tequeños are delicious! Coffee is perfection and they have options for lactose intolerante. The lunch menu is very good. This is a family owned restaurant and it shows singe they come out of the kitchen to check on you as your own mom would check her dining room table. Decor is cozy, colorful and reminds me of my beautiful country. Venezuelan food at its best!

Yelp
If you don't want to get scammed by this business DONT ORDER here. This is what happened with my order: I order my food using the online link they have in their own business webpage and a few minutes later I got and email from their webpage saying that my order was canceled and I need to call the restaurant to get the refund. I called and the owner answered the phone and told me that they wont refund me the money because they don't control their own website. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. Shame on him.

Yelp
I placed an online order at 8:15pm since your phones continued to hang up on me (I now figure it must be your closing staff hanging the phones up because they simply do not want to work until closing time) my order said it would be ready at 8:45pm. I got to the business a little before 8:40pm for pickup. They said they did not have the order and when I opened my email again it said it was now cancelled. I did not cancel it. It seems your staff doesn't want to work until your store hours of 9pm closing, which is causing you to lose money and business. if I didn't cancel it the only other way it could be canceled would be the business cancelling it. The chairs were already up on the table and mopping was started before doors were even locked since it wasn't 9pm yet. If your business closes the doors at 9pm, your staff should not be closing the store at 8:30pm). If someone slips and falls because your staff wanted to mop the door during business hours you will be responsible for that. Anyway, Instead of asking "what did you order? or what can we make you?" since the business is still open for another 20 minutes, your staff just said it was canceled and that was it. I left and they continued to close the store early. I just thought whoever the business owner is should know what it going on at their store. It was a young man and young woman that night on this past Thursday. If it were my business, I would want to know if my staff were canceling orders and closing early because they don't feel like working. I never had any issues with this place before.

Yelp
Nice little Venezuelan place . They have all kinds of arepas , tequenos , other Venezuelan snacks . I had an arepa with Guyanese cheese which is semi hard cheese served with garlic sauce and hot sauce , the arepa was good I'm sure was home made . They also serve entrees like steaks as well as patacones
google avatar

Yelp
Decided to try something new for breakfast this morning since my bf & I are such arepa fans. They were very catering, kind & honest about the menu when we asked about the coffee & food which I always appreciate. The food was delicious, very warm & freshly made. The coffee had a charming design on it & I loved that they also have a coconut milk & almond milk option. Sauces were delicious, particularly the cilantro one! I'll definitely be back. Stop by to enjoy a delicious breakfast (they also serve lunch from what I saw).

Yelp
First time here and I really like it. The food is tasty the environment is nice but I would come here for like a breakfast or a coffee. The staff is friendly and everyone is following the Social Distancing and wearing masks. I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
I love this place. I just wish it wasn't so hidden. Everyone needs to know about Arepa Pueblo. I can't just pick one thing off the menu. I like everything. Arepas. Tequeños. Empanadas. Juices. Coffee. Etc. Breakfast Lunch or Dinner no matter when you go it's always a pleasure. It's so unique. A little hidden gem. Mother and sons. Making it happen. One thing I love is how clean this place is. I think you can eat off the floor. Ha! And I'm a germaphobic. Seriously. But they keep everything so nice and clean. The service is nice as well. Very pleasant. I had an awesome conversation with the owner. She is great. My faves: Arepas!!! A must Pabellón

Yelp
This place was awesome! We walked in and it felt very authentic and even had Venezuelan music playing. The person working behind the counter was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. He was accommodating to all of our requests. The food was very fresh and tasty.

Yelp
Is the best arepa place in Pembroke Pines!!! The people there are so kind and the food is always soo fresh!
