We recently had the opportunity to dine at Argo Restaurant in Hallandale Beach, Florida, and it was an exceptionally enjoyable experience. Upon entering, I was immediately embraced by the warm and welcoming ambiance, which made me feel at ease. The staff was remarkably friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our meal was flawless. The standout feature was undoubtedly the food—authentic Georgian cuisine that was rich in flavor and freshness. I was particularly enamored with the Megruli, which featured a delightful combination of gooey cheese and perfectly baked bread, while the lamb and chicken kebabs were both tender and expertly seasoned. We also had Hinkali which was good. We also had Eggplant roll which was a good appetizer. Whether you are a connoisseur of Georgian cuisine or simply eager to explore new culinary experiences, Argo is a hidden treasure that deserves a visit. I eagerly anticipate my return!

What an amazing spot! We celebrated our friend’s birthday on Monday night and enjoyed every minute of it. The food was delicious—authentic Georgian cuisine with a wonderful homemade touch. The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming. A special highlight of the night was the talented and beautiful singer, Anastasia, who made the evening even more fantastic by performing our favorite songs. We had so much fun and can’t wait to visit again! A big thanks to the owner for the amazing Georgian wine—it was truly a perfect touch to a memorable night!

It's a nice Georgian restaurant, absolutely the same kind you can find anywhere in post-soviet countries. The food was good - fresh and tasty, with authentic Georgian flavors. Something was missing in eggplant rolls, and basturma was very salty, but everything else was great. Can't complain of service, staff was friendly and helpful. The thing we didn't like was when we came there, the restaurant was almost empty, and live music didn't start yet. We asked to be seated somewhere not too close to the stage, so we would be able to hear each other. But an hour later, when the restaurant got crowded, we could barely have any conversation. Their live music can be a little shocking for people who have never experienced Soviet restaurant music before, but it's a part of the vibe:)

We spent a couple of nights here and had a wonderful time! Food was delicious and live music was wonderful! Atmosphere is culturally appropriate and staff speaks English as well as Russian. Do not be afraid to order unfamiliarly sounding dishes as you won’t be disappointed!

Argo Restaurant is truly a gem! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and seated promptly in a beautifully decorated dining area. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed — perfect for a romantic date night, a dinner with friends, or even a special celebration. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was bursting with flavor and clearly made from fresh, high-quality ingredients. I ordered the grilled lamb chops, which were cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. We also shared a variety of appetizers — the hummus, calamari, and stuffed grape leaves were all delicious and full of authentic taste. The presentation of each dish was clean and refined. What really sets Argo apart is the service. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made excellent recommendations and checked on us regularly without being overbearing. You can tell that they take real pride in what they do. To top it off, the dessert was amazing — the baklava was rich, flaky, and perfectly sweet. I honestly can’t wait to return and try more dishes. Argo Restaurant offers a truly memorable dining experience and deserves every one of its five stars!

A friend dragged me in, swearing the khinkali was legit... and he wasn’t wrong. The Georgian cuisine here is next level!! Hearty, flavorful, and way more exciting than your average dinner out. The spices hit right, and everything tasted super fresh. I’m already planning my next trip back for that cheesy khachapuri 😍

As many times as we dine in, always absolutely amazing experience. Food is delicious, just wanted to come back for their kebabs, hinkali and definitely potatoes with mushrooms. Stuff was professional: from opening bottle to fill up champagne glasses and water as needed. I am not easy person to go dance, but at Argo atmosphere gets me on a dance floor every other time I visit. Karaoke is another great addition. Will be back there again and again.

We come here for the most amazing voice of the male singer on weekends. The guy is incredibly talented and does a great selection of songs. Not the best Georgian food and service however. They do have a nice and cozy outdoor patio and Karaoke car inside, which are advantages. Overall, we enjoyed this restaurant.

Overpriced place with ZERO service. Went there with a buddy of mine and we stayed drinking beer for 7+ hours. During this time the so-called server brought us a new beer maybe twice. The rest of the time one of us had to go to the bar and ask for a new beer. This is definitely not a service you expect when paying $13.50 for a beer. Also, a mandatory 20% tip is already included, which I can understand as they don't deserve any tips and I guess they are very well aware of this fact. The life music was ok but VERY loud, so we had to change the table twice in order to hear each other. So we ended up in the farther corner of the patio where occasionally we were able to smell dogs/raccoons poop from the bushes but at least were able to hear each other. Obviously cannot recommend the place since there are many other great places on Hallandale Beach.

This restaurant brought so much nostalgia from the minute we walked in. I felt like I was back in Russia for a moment. We sat outside in front of the live band that was playing some oldies in Russian and Ukrainian. We had dinner with a sing-along, lol The food was phenomenal. I loved the Adjara Khachapuri, I haven't had one in years, and it tasted just like I remembered. We also had the Hinkali, which were lovely. And of course, the shish kebabs, I didn't even take a picture of them because we just devoured them as soon as they brought them. I had such a great experience all around here. I cannot wait to come back!

There wasn't much around here open at 9:30 in walking distance. I came here with my family and didn't expect the food to be as delicious as it was. Considering the 2.5 stars. We ordered the house salad, Adjaruli, and lamb kebabs. The salad was simple but tasty. The Adjaruli was creamy and delicious and the bread it was in was so yummy. As for the lamb kebabs... so tender and full of flavor. We did ask the waitress for her recommendations before ordering and she gave us a few suggestions. My husband loved the red sauce that came with the kebabs. We also had some drinks that were really good. Don't let the stars fool you!!!! Yummy

The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, enhancing the overall experience. I highly recommend trying Adjaruli to anyone looking to explore authentic Georgian cuisine! The perfectly baked bread shaped like a boat was filled with a rich mixture of cheese, butter, and a runny egg. Service was good too.

The music was slow and boring, mosquitoes absolutely everywhere and they were spraying bug spray under the tables tables all the time. The place is completely open because it looks like it's some kind of garage door that just stays open all the time. The food was lacking in flavor and seasoning. Overall this experience could've been avoided if we went somewhere else. I will not be visiting this place again.

We visited this restaurant despite the negative reviews. We were the only customers as they had just opened at 3 pm. The service was good, the dumplings (Hinkali) were good, the eggplant rolls were so-so. The beef stew with grits had a weird spice and the stuffed bread (Kubdari) was interesting. It's not the kind of food I would be pining for, but I'm not Russian. We were with Russian friends and they enjoyed the food. Kind of expensive $238 for four appetizers and four entrees. Tap water to drink for all of us. They charge an automatic 20% service charge.

Omg. I feel like a ripped off tourist. I ordered a $20 dumpling(it was good) . A bottle of water with lemon . They gave me a whole Lemon $3.50. The bottles water was $7 and they added 20 percent gratuity. I was one person . There was only 3 tables with customers. It took a long while for the food to arrive. When i saw the bill was $42 for my $20 dumpling and water ... i was shocked . When you order lemon in water . You dont usually get a whole lemon and a 3.50 on a bill with 20 percent gratuity . Im a local that wont be back . I dont mind paying for good food and service but i dont want to be ripped off .

Service was ok, nice music, but food was terrible. Kebab was no fresh, potato with mushrooms can't even try because it was horrible, salat wasn't fresh also and we pay for 2 people 200$ it's insane. We don't feel that this not fresh and not tasty food, worst this amount. Change kitchen, they did terrible job! Very bad job. You lost two loyal customers who doesn't recommend your place for anyone never

I've never regretted a dining choice more in my life. This restruant is a nightmare wrapped in a stained napkin. The moment I stepped inside, I was hit with ignorance from the staff. A group of disinterested zombies who looked like they'd rather be anywhere else.I ordered a banquet which I only got half of, probably because it was a horror show that no one wanted to waste time on. The food was comparable of wet rubber. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the 80s, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there was a rat living in the walls. If you value your life, health, and sanity, do not go here. This place should be shut down immediately. One star, because I can't give zero.

Terrible service. These lunatics kept us waiting for hours while bringing only half the food out, and expected us to pay the full bill. Absolutely no remorse, no accountability. Do not go here unless you want to sleep overnight and get food while you're asleep. And for $125 per person? They should have paid me $125 per person to sit there and wait for food endlessly.

I would give this 0 stars if I could. This was the most disgusting food I have ever eaten. Nothing is fresh, they only know one spice.....black pepper. Service is terrible. Don't walk, run away.

Very European in that service is slow. One small glass of water that was never refilled. You have to ask for the check. But the food was good but expensive $50 for a Lamb Kebob with six meatball sized pieces served on the kabob with plenty of onions. And a side of "Home" potatoes with garlic. Loud Live music with plenty of Russian being spoken all around. Overall a pedestrian meal and high prices and very European feel. (Not rushed)

The restaurant is full of rats. I saw rat dropping (feces) on the floor by my table as well as two rats running in the parking lot. When I told the owner he was very rude and threatened me. Don't go there

Terrible service from the owner. He is rude with guests, saying them not to come if they don't like something. He doesn't know how to customer service supposed to look, and what is appropriate way to talk with guests. Don't go, because if you don't like something and will complain he kick you out instead of resolving your problem.

Coming back from our excursion through Eastern Europe I fell in love with Georgian food. There are Georgian restaurants or "Pectopah" all over Eastern Europe. And Argo Restaurant brings you a taste of what it's like eating at a nice Georgian restaurant in Russia or other Eastern European country. I personally love the eggplant rolls and Adjaeran khatchapuri and also kinkhali. If you're feeling in the mood to take a trip to Eastern Europe here in South Florida this is the place.

Came with my mom for a dinner and left very happy. Food was great! Honestly! If you are familiar with Georgian food, you will love it! If it's your first time trying this kind of food - it might seem a little unusual, but that's the peculiarity of the cousin. Overall experience is great, their Georgian vine is amazing and service was excellent. And.. it's a beautiful patio with a live music

Delicious Georgian food. Music is usually a little too loud, especially, if you are unfamiliar with the songs. Hookah can be a hit or a miss depending on who is preparing it. Service can be a hit or a miss too. Double check to make sure they got your order right. Argo can easily take you back to post-Soviet republics. You may like it or not! Be prepared. Gratuity is included in the check.

Before we went there yesterday I read reviews on Yelp, and I agree with other reviewers, the service is horrible, ladies who came 10 min after received their food faster than us, the waiter gave us menu only 15 minutes after, the guy waiter looked like he had a hangover, the restroom was nice but was dirty and no toilet paper(( the food is awesome, real Georgian! Live music after 7 pm But service horrible((

This place should close down and rethink how to provide quality food and exceptional service. The outside is beautiful and that's about it . Never coming back , everything tasted bland. Thank me later @EatAndRateIt

Not a single person was at karaoke. Karaoke DJ never came to the table himself. He gave our table two song to sing, to sing another song I need to wait and listen to the three songs he wants. Karaoke DJ have very bad attitude for the only table. The owner came over and corrected the situation!

Good experience for us, fist time and the staff help selecting our diner was excellent, excellent service, will be back soon in the evening to enjoy the entertainment.

Have you ever tried Georgian food??? If not... you have to!!! This food was completely delicious! The bread in the back is called Adjaruli, it is Georgian egg & cheese bread. The main dish is called Chakapuli it is Lamb Slow Cooked With Tarragon, Mint, Scallions, Parsley, Cilantro And White Wine topped with pomegranate seeds. The restaurants vibe is so fun, they have a stage with live music and everyone is having fun, the tables are big! After covid this is a good restaurant to bring a big group and have a good time!

My girlfriends offered this place for a dinner. And it was not good at all. I am not even sure why I gave it two stars. I guess because there was live music and I saw older generation happy by listening and dancing to nostalgic songs. Now about the food. Let me tell you: I am not a picky eater. I hardly ever cook and therefore I do not especially pick on flavors and all that. But I can tell the difference when the mashed potato does not taste as a potato at all. And my sturgeon kebab was I am not even sure what. There was this serious boss lady walking around. Probably a manager. Intimidating The service was ok, I guess, since I interacted only with the server 2 times. My friends were not happy about something with the server but I am not sure whose fault was there so I am not taking sides. I would not recommend this place. Because it is positioned as Georgian food, and Georgian food is known to be tasty and healthy. This is nothing even close.

They were very helpful in explaining the menu. And showing the best options for customers new to this scene. Live music was a huge plus as well. The food was spectacular will stop by again!

ARGO Restaurant has been blasting their loud music during the late night hours and many Hallandale residents are very upset, including myself. I am all for fun at restaurants, but when the loud singing prevents me from sleeping, then that is a problem. The loud noise has been happening for a long time, not just isolated incidents.

Average restaurant with very average Armenian/russian food. We got our order in about 25 minutes. Very hard to get attention from a server. It took awhile to be able to make an order, it was a while before we got the server's attention to bring us the bill. She was very nice but I think too busy. The hinkali isn't what real hinkali is, this one is more like manti in a shape of a hinkali. Hachipuri was pretty good, super cheesy. We also had an appetizer Phali which was full of flavors and a drink/ juice which tasted like childhood :) the restaurant is full of people so I will give it a try again and the music is great! The price is a little high for the food they serve. Outside sitting is beautiful on a cooler day

Don't waste your time and money! Our server Polina had no clue what she is doing, probably new comer, no experience whatsoever! We ordered $60 bottle of wine, not a cheap choice, she brought the bottle under her arm, did not show the label or ask us, if that's what we ordered, just opened the bottle and starting pouring in the glass without offering to taste it! (This is a normal procedure of serving wine) Then, served appetizers, 10 minutes later, without checking with us, if we are ready for the main course, brought entrees without cleaning the table after first course, so there was no room on the table for hot food and we had to move plates around by ourselves. She didn't change silverware or plates when served second course. Food was Ok, nothing special. When I asked her about desert, she said go to showcase and pick what you want! Really?! When I got the bill, 20% gratuities were included in the check. For this kind of service I would not leave her even $10, I asked her to speak to the manager and explain her, this girl doesn't deserve $50 tip and I asked her to remove gratuities from the check. She said we don't do that and I reminded her that tipping is not mandatory in United States. Probably she spoke to the restaurant owner, then brought bill without gratuity on it. I'm 25% tipper, never been cheap when it comes to tipping, and I left $50 tip, but the problem is, they didn't get my point. Never again, not worth it!!

Food used to be much better . Food On scale 1 to 10 is 3 . Argued for about 30 min that don't take Amex . When management understood that arguing is not getting anywhere , Amex was accepted.

They should be ashamed of themselves!! This place is so far from Georgian food it's pitiful. The food was cold and the quality is below average. The owner should be ashamed of himself. I hope they will review this post and take drastic measure to assure that the public who spends hard earned money in their restaurant is not ripped off by such terrible food.

from the outside it looks like a tiny hole in the wall, but when you step toward the side/patio you WILL be blow away! As far as the food quality, it's nice, though very expensive. You can get the Hachipuris (good for kids) and many other things. Again, price very expensive but the ambiance is worth it. Also have live music

I live very close to Argo and decided to give it a try. I wish I stayed home. Bland food, awful service, high priced, but had decent entertainment. Save your money.

This is Georgian cuisine, one of the best and most distinctive in the world! Argo is fairly authentic, and this is tall order. Service was good, in our case, no complaints whatsoever. We liked kharcho soup, satsivi, khachapuri, and lamb kebob, Georgian salad was also very good. Few other dishes, like Lula kebob were not as good, slightly too bland. We would like to be back next time we are in town.

Awful food and awful service. Was recommended to try, but I will not return. I will stick with food I know and enjoy.

Sadly nothing good to say from our visit last night. So annoying to have two separate performances going on at the same time where could not enjoy either one. The inside singers were so loud we were unable to enjoy talking to those at our table. Waitress could also not hear us as we ordered. Had to lean right in your face. Everyone on their phones entire time and annoyed with this. The highlight of the meal was the bread before. Very good. But all disappointed with main dishes. The cost of items is ridiculous as well. $13 draft beer. $15 scoup of ice cream. Etc. Food bland. Nothing special. Don't recommend it.
