Night market needs to be at … night best. 😂 But the organizers are quite thoughtful with the wash stations and little chairs on the sidewalk if you are lucky to grab one. The vibe and energy with the music and DJ is 5/5. ~ ^MOM^~ water 💦 🍹 you had me at Hello 😂Vodka infused water , light and refreshing with no sugar no bubble… just fun 🤩 Overall the food options had a good variety. Quality of food for couple of the stalls was 4/5 the rest is pretty meh 🫤 2/5 And the atrocity of the donut stall … 😢 The drinks definitely a hit during 90 degree weather but again, no credit to the creativity just need the ice 😆 Unfortunately we have even less reason to visit argyle which used to be foodie paradise years ago.

I love love love how lively and bustling it was, but it was a little too busy and chaotic for my liking. i’m happy it’s thriving but i wish there was a little more space and maybe more food vendors. I don’t want to say this to discourage coming, but if crowds are not your thing it might help! I liked the drumming and entertainment!

Recently got to attend the Night Market at Argyle and it was amazing to see how activated the community has become since my days as local student. There were so many delicious food options and everyone was so friendly. Can't wait to see this event continue to evolve and hopefully take on the entirety of Argyle Ave up to Broadway.

Too crowded and with few food or drink options. It’s not even that many Asian food. There’s shaved ice and Mexican and Jamaican options. Had to go to a restaurant nearby because simply can’t wait for that long. Fun music and overall experience though.

this night market was very fun to check out! i do wish it was bigger (it only spanned about one block) and had more food vendors. there were really only four or so vendors which surprised me since food is known to be a big part of night markets, but it was nice to look at all the other booths anyway. there was also live music which was pretty nice while we looked around. i tried boba and onigiri from two different stalls, and they were both good. but just so you know, there is an upcharge for the goods as my boba was $9 and onigiri was $6 each.

Google
Great little marketplace about 2 blocks length on both sides of the street. Everyone is super friendly and parking was not bad. One port a potty and lots of spots to wash your hands at . I would say around 8 or 12. Very safe area and lots of security. Be prepared to wait in line for the food. Especially the shish kebab.

Google
This "night market" is just another thing that has been marketed by social media influencers to be better than it actually is. The market is extremely small, spanning only 2 blocks that can be walked in a minute. The food vendor area gets packed body to body with long lines with very few, expensive, mediocre options. The restaurants get packed so that if you don't find a food vendor you can't get in anywhere else. Parking is an absolute nightmare.

Great food! But there’s not that many vendors. The grilled squid from DaNang Kitchen is definitely worth the wait tho!

Yelp
Argyle Night Market in Uptown Chicago, on Thursday nights during summer, is always fun! I attended this event multiple times during the past years, and I can tell you that, in 2025, Argyle Night Market is bringing a huge crowd and lots of vendors. I arrived pretty late last night, and due to way too many people, I didn't want to wait in line for food, instead, I went to a little restaurant on the street, Turkish Doner, to satisfy my hunger. Next time I will arrive there much earlier and make sure to get in line for a few items, which I missed yesterday. Definitely want to get the Ube Tea, and some of the Ube buns, plus the beignets! Omg, they looked so delicious! But by the time I came back from dinner, lines were still huge front of those vendors, and they started packing up for the night. The event ends at 9 pm promptly! At the beginning, I experienced some really great drummers performing! I'm glad to see them performing live! There are different musicians during the evening, some are DJ-s and others are Hip Hop artists, but I attended before when there was a Rock Band playing. Argyle Night Market is always fun!

Yelp
The Argyle Night Market runs on Thursday evenings during the summertime, and it's a fun time to check out the offerings of the Argyle Street area. My lovely wife and I have experienced it a couple of times over the last few years, including this past Thursday. We saw a variety of food booths, colorful merchandise vendors, and food trucks. There is a stage for musical acts near Sheridan, and there is always good people-watching here.

Yelp
I've been curious about the Night Market for a few years but never had gotten my butt over here. This year I took the babe to the inaugural evening and it was really nice. I don't know what to call this; a micro festival? It's certainly a hyper local event. I'd expect that 95% of the attendees are from the neighborhood (Uptown) and it was small as far as attendance goes. It took place on the eastern end of Argyle, an area known as Little Asia. It only spans a couple blocks, maybe three tops but there are a great deal of vendors here selling various goods (see a free trade booth, plant shop, and so on), as well as some community and non profit organizations (Uptown United was here, as was the alder, and the state rep from the area, and I learned about an org that helps women and children in need from one of their reps). And the food--there's tons. There were at least half a dozen or more different booths selling food and snacks, representing various cuisines, including the donut group with the Uptown Donuts bike on site. Perhaps the coolest thing is that the there were some cultural demonstrations that took place. We weee only there for one, when there was a group that performed a dance in traditional dress. It was so hot that day I'm sure they were sweltering but it was so special to watch, and they did a fantastic job. The night market only takes place for a few evenings during the summer. I'm so glad I finally made it this year, and that I got to share it with my best girl, even though we only made it once. Looking forward to next summer when we can visit again.

Yelp
It was very busy and not very big. The vendors were the same as every other Chicago summer street fest. We had a hard time finding a seat so we bought some meat a guy was grilling on the street in front of - and assumably associated with - some restaurant. Music was good but too loud for me. I think I'd rather go to the area when the night market ISN'T happening.

Yelp
My friends and I had a great time at this market. It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, but they had some great food options and little shops. They also had a variety of performers throughout the night. We got food at DaNang and it was amazing. I highly recommend the grilled squid ($10) and their pork and chicken kabobs ($4). The squid especially was incredible and the serving was huge. There are also plenty of outdoor places to sit!

Yelp
This was a fun event. Summer in Chicago is amazing, I really like Argyle, especially since I relocated from Hawaii last spring. I'm always finding stuff in Argyle that I miss having regularly accessible. It's great to be able to go to event and see all the local business restaurants to artists and makers. Throw in some live music and a great time. Have tasty apps, always finding new spots down the road and I'm slowly just checking out places. Great way to introduce you to all the neighborhood has to offer.

Yelp
The Argyle Night Market is really very neat, and I enjoyed taking in the music while enjoying the culinary offerings. This is a stellar no-cost way to spend a Thursday night.

Yelp
Nice, smaller street festival that has a plethora of small businesses and dance performances. Really fun time!

Yelp
Enjoy the summer festivities at Argyle Night Market. Great music, fun crowd, and try out the wonderful vendors from food, drinks, and novelty (Mexican, Vietnamese, Chinese, etc). Bring friends and have a good time together and support the local community.

Yelp
So glad I found this on its last night! I just went to Asia this summer and have been missing the night markets there. The Argyle Night Market isn't huge, but it was enough to give me a small taste of what I've been missing. They close off a small portion of the street (one block) and the restaurants there set up small shops/tents and sell their food. Everything was super cheap and we got a nice meal from it. Live music, lots of people, yummy food and a sense of community. Loved it! I hope they can expand in the future and make it bigger!

Yelp
Not the extensive and brimming with food stalls Asian night markets that I'm used to. The food options are pretty slim; you're limited to some meat kabobs and fried offerings. They nowhere near represent the array of Vietnamese food you can find in Argyle. The music is nice, although the night market should take place at a later time; 5-9pm is still an early time slot to be considered a night market. I wouldn't come during repeated weeks, but maybe once a year to see if any of the stalls are updated.

Yelp
This market needs work. I was hoping for a lot of stalls full of weird produce and unusual street food, and LATE NIGHT snacks. The reality is a few stalls of vegan makeup and stuff deep fried in tempura. Also, the "late" only goes until 9 PM? What! The restaurants in this area are spot on, and I suppose that's draw enough. This fest has been going on for several years now, and I want to see it expand and really be a thing. I'm glad that it's here, but it needs to grow, grow, grow!

Yelp
Wow! I can't believe I only heard about this market this year! We stopped by tonight and it was great! Live music, cheap food, great weather--whats not to like??? For $9 I was able to buy a large portion of chicken noodles, fresh papaya salad and a delicious pork skewer. The street was closed off from traffic which made it easy to walk around. It was a small area where the vendors were set up but I liked the intimacy of it all. It wasn't overly crowded which was great but there was not a lot of seating on the sidewalks to eat our food. Maybe next year they can set up some tables for patrons to eat at? Super easy to get to --right off the Argyle Red line stop. I will be back!!

Yelp
This market is a trip. Don't expect a farmer's market - this year there has been only 1 produce vendor with limited supply. Instead, expect delicious Vietnamese food vendors, diverse entertainment, and excellent people watching. Kie-Gol-Lanee, the Oaxacan spot on Sheridan, also has a stand this year with delicious tacos, tamales, and huitlacoche blue corn quecas (quesadillas). Entertainment has included Latin jazz, soul, urban, Hawaiian, Mexican folkloric, taiko drumming, and community drum circles. The music attracts local characters who are fun to watch and dance with. This market might push you outside of your comfort zone, but give it a try!

Yelp
Such a wonderful mix of cuisines, great music, and happy people! Love to see the community coming together on Argyle to put on this wonderful weekend event!

Yelp
Small night market with some typical and some interesting ready to eat food, mostly inexpensive. Mostly SE Asian stalls that represent the area restaurants. Wish it was bigger with more stalls but the stalls were varied and the place was not too crowded. Some harder to find items like Huilacoche in home made blue corn tortilla quesadilla, skewers of beef wrapped in betel leaf (?la lo lop) chicken guabao, makes this a worthwhile destination on a summer Thursday night. There are also food to go, including those yummy Phoenix tofu in their killer sauces.

Yelp
Mainly food stalls and only one block long, but the music and ambience are nice and the food is solid & reasonably priced. Not too crowded.

Yelp
Two week ago I was up north near Argyle and. stumbled into Argyle's Night Market. I was driving east on Argyle and the street was blocked off in preparation for the market around 4 o'clock. I watched as the venders built their booths, cooked the food, and displayed their wares. There were many original booth at this market: one woman doing henna tattoos, another selling books, wheat free dog treats, brownies, candy and bakery good. In addition there was one booth selling fruit and vegetables and several restaurants were selling specialties, the scent of foods waft the area motivating visitors to their booths to purchase their food. All age groups participated there were even young adults tie-dying T-shirts to make money for their neighborhood organization. This was no "Wonder Bread Market," this is a weekly event going on until winter, uniting groups of people. Mixing traditions: styles, art,s, flavors, even the musical presentations from the Argyle Community and the surrounding areas. This is a very interesting market that happens every Thursday night. I would recommend going at least one time to experience it.

Yelp
Small number of fruit and vegetable stands, but a great place to check out some inexpensive Vietnamese street food (pot stickers, fried rice, and etc.), as well as an interesting collection of local vendors, together with a DJ on stage and an eclectic mix of people. Recommend grabbing a few appetizers at the market, then stopping by a local grocery for some Vietnamese Coffee to take home (we love Trung Nguyen coffee!). Then, head a block or two to the corner of Broadway and Argyle to have a nice dinner of Pho at Tank Noodle or a Bahn Mi (sandwich) at Ba Le Banh Mi. Nice way to spend a Thursday evening!

Yelp
I was a bit underwhelmed by the Argyle Night Market. Don't expect a Taste of Randolph or Wells Street Art Fair sized street fair. It was literally about one block. There were vendors from some of the local restaurants and Vietnamese grocery stores, but they were mostly selling the same things. We only spent about half an hour at the actual night market, then ended up walking around the Argyle area. Not a bad place to stop by if you're in the area, but I wouldn't make it a destination point.
