Aria Restaurant

Such a beautiful restaurant in a very easy location. The service was outstanding. Our servers thoughtfully explained each dish along with our drink pairings. Each dish was special, delicious, and the drink pairing elevated each bite. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. Beautiful way to highlight Neapolitan ingredients and merging it with Sicilian flare. We cannot wait to come back!

In a region where you can get delectable food inexpensively, the high price point at Aria makes it a daring first try. However, the 7 course meal and wine pairing my partner and I experienced here was sublime from start to finish. The attention to detail is a differentiator at Aria, present in the design, plating, lighting, service and, of course, taste. The waiter guided us through the drinks (delineated because the first of the wine courses was a fresh and unique pepper cocktail, before being followed by several wines) as well as the courses, the explanation of which was necessary for me to understand the complexities of the dishes. The small size of the restaurant (8 tables) enables the staff to give you all the attention you desire, with the professionalism you'd expect. Despite being advertised as 7 courses, there are some unclaimed interim or predecessor courses, as well as multiple small plates within a course. It felt like more of a gourmet feast than I had expected. The wine accompaniment is highly recommended, as the pairings were expertly done. It's certainly sentimental to say, but I had to dab my eyes after a few of these courses. Aria's artful presentation and fulfilling flavors, enjoyed with wonderful company, is fully worth the price of admission.

Just…superb! On par with any Michelin starred restaurant in Paris or London, with impeccable service and attention from the staff. Playful, imaginative takes on Italian/Sicilian classics. I adored the bold use of saffron and coriander - reminded me of my Sicilian grandmother’s cooking. I opted for the 7 course menu, which actually comes with lots more chef’s extras. Was very full by the time I left. Highlights: the Sicilian saffron risotto dish, and the exquisite Taiwanese castella cake (along with all the desserts!) To potentially improve: the pork was slightly chewy, and the pop music was slightly strange in such a polished establishment.

One of the best menus I've ever had! The service was perfect and the wine pairing was also a really good match. We started with some glasses of champagne and some delicious appetizers! We chose the option with local food and ingredients. Everything was just delicious and well-executed. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A cosy atmosphere, with minimalist interior design and tableware, so that the attention remains focused on the plates. An attentive and proficient service, amicable but not intrusive. Each dish is a little miracle and tells a story of its own. A subtle assemblage of tastes and textures, which dissolve on the palate like the volutes of smoke from an elegant cigarette. A puff of sea bream. One of mushroom. Amazingly fresh and delicate shrimps. Chicken. And a few desert hallucinations. The (red) wine (a blend of Aglianico, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) also had a story to tell. It started a little rough on the edges, but progressively opened up, became more complex and revealed its true nature on truffles which garnished the chicken leg. A distinctively Italian experience, or should I say Campanian (although the Chef, Paolo Barrale, is from Sicily) ? The Campania of Philodemus of Gadara and of other Epicureans, who, as often with Romans, made Greek philosophy less harsh and demanding, and more accommodating and pleasurable. Superlativo!

First day of a new menu and barely what I expect from a michelin star restaurant. Went to Sensi in Amalfi a few days ago and Aria does not live up to them. If you can only pick one go for Sensi. I'm copying a review in my description below that I've seen from someone else as it is exactly how I feel too. Mediocre Michelin experience. Food was just okay, nothing worth a wow honestly. Too much bread as you get chocolate bread as part of the desserts a well as normsl bread. Foams and sauces used are a bit boring and lack taste. Service is ok and the vibe is great. But the money isn't really worth the food. If food matters to you more, you can get something better in a regular restaurant on the streets. Some nice ideas that just don't transfer to Michelin level taste.

One of our best experiences ever. Very unique and creative chef that built an amazing menu, traditional but modern with the personal touch of the chef. The staff was so friendly and kind . Couldn’t recommend more!

We had 7 dish course. All the dishes were beautiful and amusing. I loved their presentation. I especially enjoyed their seafood dishes. Fresh and well prepared. My most favourite was squid ink pasta. As for the dessert, I wasn't so impressed by them. I could not find them so creative or new. There was no surprises, compared to other meal dishes earlier. Their service was very professional. And the atmosphere is modern and stylish. I would love to come back in the future!
