London’s Best Persian Food for Nowruz 2022 | Eater London

"Afghani restaurant Ariana also serves lots of classic Persian dishes for its Iranian customers. Start the meal with kuku-e-sabzi, the afore-mentioned green herbed eggs, and enjoy ghemeh badenjan, a lamb and aubergine stew with split peas for the main course." - Amira Arasteh

The food was absolutely delicious! 🍽️ The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly, especially with my baby! Everything tasted fresh and flavourful, and the rice was delicious! For me, this is the best Afghan restaurant in the Barking area. I’ll definitely be coming back again! ✅ Tip: Don’t miss the ice cream on your way out! It’s seriously good too! 🍦😋

Ariana Restau Ariana Restaurant on Longbridge Road in Barking is a hidden gem that truly delivers on all fronts – from excellent food quality to warm hospitality. I’ve visited several times now, and every experience has been consistently satisfying. The food here is fresh, flavorful, and cooked with care. The salads and starters are a perfect way to begin – fresh ingredients, nicely seasoned, and full of vibrant flavors. The chicken and lamb koobideh platters are absolutely outstanding. The meats are juicy, tender, and beautifully grilled with that signature Afghan smoky flavor, served alongside fragrant rice, fresh naan, and a generous helping of salad. Portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality and quantity. Whether you’re dining solo, with family, or in a group, you’ll get fantastic value for your money. The staff are active, friendly, and attentive, always making sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need. Service is quick, and they’re more than happy to make suggestions if you’re new to the cuisine. One of the highlights for me is their tea – both the mint tea and cinnamon tea are served traditionally and make for the perfect end to a hearty meal. They’re fragrant, warming, and really round off the dining experience beautifully. The restaurant is clean, family-friendly, and has a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal without any rush. If you’re in the Barking area and looking for authentic Afghan cuisine, Ariana is a must-visit. Great food, great service, and great value – I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

This is from Saudi Eats in London, with 80k+ followers across social platforms. Instagram & Tiktok: saudieats.ksa We’ve explored nearly all the Persian restaurants in London, but this spot undeniably deserves a five-star rating for its expertise in delivering authentic Persian cuisine with over a decade of experience as you can see the salmon limousine was above & beyond the most unique dish we have tried in london so far. The hot smoky flavors of and texture of the salmon limousine was divine. 🔥😍🤤 But above all, the ambiance of the natural green space upstairs stole our hearts. It’s the ideal spot promises a serene, enchanting evening and to unwind from the city’s chaos. While sipping hot Turkish tea, & enjoying flavorful shisha. 👍 You’re truly missing out big time, if you haven’t been here yet. We can confidently say this will become your favorite go-to restaurant, whether for a gathering with friends or a cozy family outing.

We went for lunch and we were the only ones during the time we ate. The service was non existent. Very dismissive and unprofessional. Our drinks took about 15/20minutes to arrive even when I asked the chef (the waiter was outside smoking). Our starters came before the drinks as the main person who took our order was either on the phone talking or having a smoke. We ordered mango juice, and we were given mango lasso. Waiter tried to put the order through on the bill as a lassi even though we stated mango juice. He even dismissed the order when I asked and said it was fresh as all we wanted was juice. Despite the bad service, the food was great and very tasty. It's a pity that we never once were asked how we are, was the food ok as we were the only ones there.

They don’t respect their guests and don’t know how to deal with a regular costumer . My last night experience was so bad that I left the green tea as it is, paid and left Reply to owner Dear Sir, In connection to your reply, I must admit I bring the pizza and warm it up in your hotel premises by your staff, the objection of not eating raised by your staff in very insulting way. I spent around 100 pounds day before at your lovely premises and I expected very cortious behaviour as I am regular visitor and belong to the tribe where customers are treated like guests not like dogs. Either guest order cup of tea or cup of water he is guest it doesn’t change his status from human to a dog.. You please change your attitude toward customer as guest not an atm machine without any feelings.

I have been to this restaurant many times and the food has always been excellent. In fact, it is usually my go to restaurant of choice in the local area anytime I have friends or relatives. On this occasion however, thier customer and order management was atrocious. We came with 5 adults and a 6 year old child. We made the order at 9.30 and didnt get our mains until around 10.50! We did not understand why it took so long to produce a plate of nuggets and chips for a child. (we asked for the childs food at least 3 times) The restaurant had a large party going on in the back - they were playing disgustingly loud music which was annoying by itself - but they seem to have favoured this customer over us. We kept seeing trays of kebabs coming in, being prepared and then dispatched to the party. We had to get up several times to enquire about the status of our order. A smaller group of women entered after us but for some reason were served very quickly and before us. My cousin asked for a cola drink only to be told none was available. One minute later we see the waiters transport several cans of cola to - youve guessed it - the prepaid party. The waitress got our order wrong so my cousin didnt even get what he ordered 1.5hrs later! When we asked at the till where it was, the chef claimed it wasnt even on the order list and he couldnt do anything about it. The least we expected was an apology from the restaurant and some sort of compensation however this seemed to be too difficult for them. We did get a £5 chicken soup for free, but only because they made a mistake and not because they were being generous. It was added to the bill and we had to remind them that we didnt order it. Overall the food itself was very nice as it has always been - the exception being the chapli kebab, which, whilst was very juicy didnt have any flavour or seasonings whatsoever, a bit of salt would have been nice. The customer service was extremely poor and to be frank I wont be returning anytime soon. Had the food been poor also, I would have given this place 1/5 but the food IS good when delivered on time. If you come here when theres a party on, dont bother. Just walk out and try one of the many restaurants down Ilford Lane. If its empty, it might be worth a sitdown. The prices are quite reasonable.
