London’s Best Persian Food for Nowruz 2022 | Eater London

"Afghani restaurant Ariana also serves lots of classic Persian dishes for its Iranian customers. Start the meal with kuku-e-sabzi, the afore-mentioned green herbed eggs, and enjoy ghemeh badenjan, a lamb and aubergine stew with split peas for the main course." - Amira Arasteh

Arayna Restaurant in Barking is an excellent spot for anyone who loves authentic BBQ and South Asian dishes. The food is full of flavour — perfectly grilled, well-seasoned, and served fresh. The restaurant itself is quite big, spacious, and comfortable, making it ideal for families and group dinners. The service is friendly and welcoming too. Definitely one of the best places in Barking for delicious desi food! Highly recommended.

The food was absolutely delicious! 🍽️ The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly, especially with my baby! Everything tasted fresh and flavourful, and the rice was delicious! For me, this is the best Afghan restaurant in the Barking area. I’ll definitely be coming back again! ✅ Tip: Don’t miss the ice cream on your way out! It’s seriously good too! 🍦😋

We had a lovely experience at Ariana for our kids’ birthday celebration! The staff—Simran, Elibah, and Dilwaiz—were friendly and accommodating, and our table was ready when we arrived with our little ones. The food was delicious – everything from the main dishes to the green tea was excellent. We also brought a cake, and the team helped make the birthday surprise really special with the music and presentation. The kids (and adults!) loved it, and it made the celebration so memorable. we had a wonderful time, and I’d highly recommend Ariana for family gatherings and special celebrations.

Ariana Restau Ariana Restaurant on Longbridge Road in Barking is a hidden gem that truly delivers on all fronts – from excellent food quality to warm hospitality. I’ve visited several times now, and every experience has been consistently satisfying. The food here is fresh, flavorful, and cooked with care. The salads and starters are a perfect way to begin – fresh ingredients, nicely seasoned, and full of vibrant flavors. The chicken and lamb koobideh platters are absolutely outstanding. The meats are juicy, tender, and beautifully grilled with that signature Afghan smoky flavor, served alongside fragrant rice, fresh naan, and a generous helping of salad. Portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality and quantity. Whether you’re dining solo, with family, or in a group, you’ll get fantastic value for your money. The staff are active, friendly, and attentive, always making sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need. Service is quick, and they’re more than happy to make suggestions if you’re new to the cuisine. One of the highlights for me is their tea – both the mint tea and cinnamon tea are served traditionally and make for the perfect end to a hearty meal. They’re fragrant, warming, and really round off the dining experience beautifully. The restaurant is clean, family-friendly, and has a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal without any rush. If you’re in the Barking area and looking for authentic Afghan cuisine, Ariana is a must-visit. Great food, great service, and great value – I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

Sorry to say. Spend £60 for takeaway. Spend £30 for only chapli kabab. Unfortunately, it was overcooked. Looks like the chef burned it. Could not eat at all. Money wasted. Although the kabuli rice and nun was ok.

Visited here many times as restaurant is accross the road from my mothers house so we regularly come here when I come to see mum. on one of my visits sadly I was very disappointed as I ordered chapli kebab which they normally cook fresh. Unfortunately for me on this occasion the kebabs were fried to a crisp literally burnt an rock hard. I went back last week and mentioned to the chef Faisal about it and he said no worries I give you one to make up for it. Anyways I ordered some other items ie qabli pilau and karahi gosht which were amazing as always. Sadly he didn’t bother compensating me for my previous bad experience hence the 3 stars review.
