I want to say upfront that I did not eat food at this establishment. My car recently broke down so I've had to ride the bus to and from work, to the doctor for my injured back, everywhere. After I left my doctor's office I walked a mile and a half to the bus stop. I went into the 7-11 across the street, bought a snack, and asked to use the restroom so I could blow my nose. The employee let me know the restroom was out of service, so I went ahead and walked across the street to my bus stop. Right next to my bus stop was a strip mall that included Italo. I walked over. When I walked up to the door there was an employee sitting in a chair smoking a cigarette, the smoke blowing into the restaurant. When I walked in the door there were two employees standing near one of the tables, so I approached them and asked if I could use the restroom. The one guy raised his eyebrows and said, "Restroom?" I said, "Or if I could just have a napkin. I just need to blow my nose." He said, "No, no, you can use the restroom, it's fine." I started to walk to where he had pointed and he said, "Just leave your bag there, " and pointed to one of the empty tables.
What? Why would I leave my personal belongings alone in a restaurant? My wallet with my debit card, credit cards, and cash, plus my Nintendo Switch, my hydroflask of cold water, and my drivers license. I told the man I couldn't do that and he said,"Then you need to leave."
I just needed a napkin man.
