"Ariola Bakery, owned by Peter Ariola Jr., has transformed its traditional cannoli shells into Cannoli Bars, a shelf-stable candy bar compared to Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme. The bakery was originally a pastry shop on Rockaway Avenue, Brooklyn, founded in 1923, and later moved to Farmingdale, New York, expanding its wholesale operations. Ariola Foods, the parent company, claims to be the largest vendor of cannoli and sfogliatelle on the East Coast, producing over six thousand cannoli per hour. The Cannoli Bars, praised for their unique flavor profile, are part of an evolution of the family business and have been distributed to various locations, despite not being advertised on the company's website." - Emma Orlow

I've been buying from this bakery for the last 13+ years whenever I am in the area. Staff is always friendly, pastries and anything else you purchase are always fresh and full of flavor! I used to love coming right when they opened for some fresh and hot Sfogliatella! The best hands down.

What's all the hoopla about? Except that the pastries are light and cheap for miniatures, they don't have French Chantilly cream in any of them unfortunately. They had a couple of their own type of pastries, but not the same as an authentic Italian bakery like Carpri in Wantagh or inside Uncle Giuseppe's. Also, it's not hard to find at all, not a hide-n-seek the way it was portrayed. Nothing that different plus I never heard of having cannoli cream only ON TOP of a pastry instead of INSIDE, a little offputting. It's okay. The fig cookie was nice. Haven't tried any cake, however, so only judging by the miniatures.. The ladies were very pleasant inside the shop.

Came in here with my daughter, automatically felt like family, the owner gave my daughter some cookies, we had the black out cake and lobster tails with custard. Best I ever had ! Excellent place. Will be back for all my dessert needs :)

Yelp
So I just randomly typed in best cannolis on Long Island, and Ariola's What's the first of popped up , The location is in Farmingdale, but in the industrialized area off the main road, you can't miss the building it's painted in blue plenty of parking in the side , and beyond the gate of the building,, the line was long, but it went very quickly and talking to the people who were many repeat customers. I've said that everything in this bakery taste is great. Service was good, and you won't be disappointed,, And I must admit, they were right,, judging by the size of the building, they probably service a lot of their breads and baked goods to the local restaurants, Diner's, Cafe's, and Deli's,, nice selection of traditional Italian, American. Pastries and cookies,, the staff was very helpful, and their cannolis yes were fantastic. Well worth the trip, Try the house creation "Brooklyn Bridge Pastry" .. A sponge cake filled with cannoli cream and sliced almonds & a cherry on top .. Family and I finished the whole thing .. Plus, they freshly fill their lobster tails .. Nice variety of cookies and other pastries. They also sell Italian breads.

Yelp
100 Years! That's how long MY family has been buying our pastries from Ariola Foods. My grandparents in the 1920's, my parents in the 1950's, me and my cousins from the 1980's, our kids today... Wherever Ariola is, Brooklyn, Ozone Park, Farmingdale, that's where we've always bought our pastries! THE BEST!

Fran Z.

Yelp
Have been coming here since they moved to this location. Truly the best cannolis!! Their cookies are scrumptious as well. Highly recommend this gem.

Felix C.

Yelp
Nice little spot for a piece of Italian pastry and a delicious hot cup of coffee. The employees are always kind

Helen Y.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious pastry!! Must try their Brooklyn Bridge, cannoli- cream and shell unbelievable!!, baba, sfogliatelle...

Janine P.

Yelp
Authentic Italian pastry. I cannot say how much I love it. Would go with grandma to the one in Brooklyn. Now I go to the one in Farmingdale. Amazing!! Now I want a cannoli.

Carla S.

Yelp
Incredibly inexpensive authentic Italian pastries. Attentive service. Clean and tidy shop.

Helen Pentaleri B.

Yelp
THAT'S ITALIAN PASTRIES I wish I'd known about Ariola's YEARS AGO! If it wasn't for News12 Long Island I'd still be clueless to the Bakery being so close to home. A long history on Long Island.. .. Now, thankfully, in Farmingdale.

Andrew K.

Yelp
Great Italian pastry's at the best price try the Brooklyn bridge one of their specialties only they make love this place God bless

Rose S.

Yelp
Love everything there. My favorite is The Brooklyn Bridge. I travel a while to go because it's so worth it

Lynne L.

Yelp
So good. Every holiday it was up to my uncle who lived in Ozone Park to bring the pastry from Ariola. And every time that we got to eat it, we'd hear the story about how my grandfather came to the US on the same boat as the people who opened Ariola. I be.I Eve they came from the same town or village.

Scott W.

Yelp
Deliciousness!!! Family run for almost 100 years!!! Fast friendly service. Superb Quality & Authentic!! The Pastries and Cannolis are simply heavenly!!!

Dennis N O.

Yelp
Great pastry and blackout cake. Eva is a sweet lady eith many years of baking experience. It's a passion not a job. Can't wait to try the Cassata Cake.

Anne L.

Yelp
My Dad was so happy that the bakery he grew up knowing in Brooklyn, came out to Long Island... Wonderful owner & family!!!

Robert D.

Yelp
Bought a couple dozen mini pastries today when I got home it looks like they shrunk the pastries would've preferred they raise the price then shrink the pastries

Joan M.

Yelp
There aren't a lot of bakeries with such a great combination of quality and value. You can get an assortment of small pastries for variety, or larger ones if you have favorites, and they'll always be delicious without breaking the bank. Wish I lived closer to them. Highly recommended.

Mary C.

Yelp
l can't say that the pastries aren't good because they are but they're not satisfying anymore because they're too small. When is this much inflation everyone has to suffer. You don't past the problem down to the customer. Pastries are a luxury not a necessity and I won't be buying from them anytime soon little tiny mini pastries that aren't even a mouthful. And I was a good customer.

Joseph D.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years excellent bakery .you can call ahead and have a cake baked the same day in march there saint Joseph zepoles canole cream or custard are the best give them a try you won't be disappointed

Brigade B.

Yelp
Delicious!! Pastries always fresh.I have been coming here to order for years.I never liked cannoli until tasting it from Ariola. They have pastries I haven't seen in any other Italian bakery.Staff always friendly. Its a hidden gem.

Ilene K.

Yelp
Bakery is great but they Are NOT open on Sundays. Their website and answering machine state they are open 7 days but they aren't. I asked why don't they correct this and was told that they tried to change their website but couldn't. Still no reason why they can't change their answering machine! Pastries are great but u shouldn't make a trip if they aren't open!!

Anthony B.

Yelp
I was there this past Saturday for a Brooklyn Bridge birthday cake and some St. Joseph pastries. My family owned Carluccis restaurant on Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, a few blocks from the original Ariolas, they were the best then and remain the best today.

Steffi K.

Yelp
Easy to miss from the street, Ariola bakery serves businesses as well as private citizens. They always have a large selection of cookies and pastries on display, and you can special order items. The prices are a little on the high side, but, the goodies are worth it! (I love that they also carry jordan almonds!)

Deb B.

Yelp
Long Island's best kept secret - ARIOLA BAKERY in Farmingdale. Those who know - KNOW this is the BEST place to get fresh, authentic and geniune Italian bakery goods. Pasteries, cakes, cookies - custom orders are NEVER an issue. Lines are long during the holidays so palce your orders ahead of time and chill out while waiting your turn to pay. You will NEVER be disappointed in the quality of these bakery yummies. When my son was an FDNY probie and invited us to visit him at his firehouse in Harlem, I brought two dozen sfogliatella's to share. I am now forbiddden to visit unless I bring these to the firehouse.

Diana P.

Yelp
The most delicious bakery ever. We go here for every occasion. People ask "omg where did you get these cookies!"

Cherie P.

Yelp
Got a cannoli cake for Father's Day. My husband said it was delicious, and exactly like he remembers from their Forbell Street location in Brooklyn. We'll definitely back!

Michael T.

Yelp
I love this hidden gem of a bakery. All the ladies that work here are super friendly and great. The desserts are amazing and I recommend you do not visit when you are hungry because the sweets wont make it in the box.

Genna G.

Yelp
Second time on a Sunday we came here and surprise surprise AGAIN.. they were closed. Why advertise your Sunday hours if you don't have any? Very annoying. Needless to say won't be trying for a third time at this establishment.

Nanette S.

Yelp
We had a special Napoleon cake made for Dyan 's 60th birthday, It was delicious so fresh , and yummy. It was decorated so pretty. thanks Eva, you did a great job. Thanks, Nanette & Dyan

Yelp
Im 62 years old. I remember my 5th birthday party cake coming from Ariola's on Liberty Av in "city Line" on the queens/brooklyn border. Every major event-birthdays, communions, graduations had cakes, cookies and pastries from this family run bakery. I remember sunday dinner at my grandparents always ended with pastries and cookies from ariola!I am so happy that I have had my children's party cakes from them, and now-my grandson's baptism cake will come from the same people who probably made the cake for my own!! The best pastries and cookies come from ariola.Followed them from liberty av to queens village to farmingdale! That says it all about how good they are! My parents and grandparents bought from them when they were in brooklyn. Just going inside the shop and smelling that wonderful bakery smell brings me back to my childhood!! a

Yelp
The best Cannolis on Long Island and the five boroughs! By far these are as good if not better than the ones you can get on Arthur Avenue. Not only are they delicious, but the prices are reasonable. All the pastry items are delicious and always fresh. The people that help you couldn't be any nicer. So if you're looking for the real deal in Italian pastries you've found it here. One more helpful hint . If you want anything for any holidays preorder and pay. This way all you do is pick it up that day. If not,be prepared to wait on a very loooong line! I had to learn the hard way.

Rosemarie S.

Yelp
Drive a distance to come here. Never been disappointed. The Brooklyn bridge is sooo good but then again is everything there. And the prices are great

Brian L.

Yelp
Love all there pastries. Cannolis and lobster tails are the best. One time located in Queens Villiage near where I live. Don't get to Farmingdale to often to buy.Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. Please don't review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you're connected in any way to the owner or employees.

Tanya B.

Yelp
Awesome bakery. I ordered serval desserts for the holidays and I was wowed! Cannoli's ard cookies were devine! Being a foodie I highly recommend this bakery! Great service with a smile! A sweet treasure in Farmingdale!!

Keith D.

Yelp
I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the owner of this fantastic establishment. He gave my friend an I the history of this family business. The biggest cannoli manufacturer in the world I might add. After hearing his passion after 60yrs of him being in this biz that his family started years before that, I had to try "The Cannoli"....drum roll please..........the best I ever had

Logan H.

Yelp
Delicious cannolis. As close as it gets to what my Italian grandparents used to have from the lower east side.
