I have now been here for dinner with friends, and lunch with family. Both times were different in the sense of types of meal, but I'll speak to my overall experience.
First- a huge space. Lots of private rooms for smaller groups, large events, and if you just want some privacy. Most of the rooms are set up for if you plan to grill. Very clean, organized, and certainly COVID friendly if you don't want to be in a main area with people you don't know.
Their lunch special (sushi and sashimi) for $25 is a great price. High quality food, plated beautifully, and generous portions. I think a lot of people would say that's expensive for lunch, but this is a higher end lunch if you're going this route.
For our small dinner group we went with a couple rolls, (so many different sushi rolls to choose from!) a Kim chee pancake (pa jun), combo A for Korean bbq, which is normally recommended for two but we split it three ways so we could try a bunch of different things. All super tasty. The banchon (side dishes) are simple but delicious.
Today for lunch I split the sushi and sashimi combo plate and also had the tempura udon. With the banchon this was more like an early dinner for us. The tempura was executed perfectly, the udon was generous with the noodles and fish cakes. I'd have liked more broth but I do like saltiness and a lot of it.
That being said, when it's busy I can see how service can be slow. But you know when coming that this is a huge space, and if you're eating BBQ, unless you know what you're doing they will help cook for you so you don't mess up your meal.
If you're in a private room and you need something, knock the phone off the cradle (music plays, signaling to the team you need something). It's that simple. Otherwise, Korean restaurants aren't like your traditional meal out. Unless you need something, they don't bother you. It takes some adjusting; but it works better if you don't have someone asking you every couple minutes how it's going. Just eat, enjoy, and go.
Not inexpensive to eat here but again this is a nice space, decorated beautifully and you're going to enjoy it. They offer free soft serve ice cream (I think it's for dinner only) so we struck out there.
My three American friends were all pleased that they could get so many different types of dishes to eat. If you want to split a bunch of things it works out nicely!
Support small businesses. I believe this used to be owned with Bogle Bogle next door but they sold that off to focus on this mainly.
No photos. It was so good we dug right in. Sorry!
