BEST SALON EVER! Marie cuts my hair and she did a great job. My hair wasn’t exactly what I wanted and as soon as I reached out they were extremely responsive and took it upon themselves to have me come in next day and corrected it. Free of charge! I LOVE my hair now and it’s a great way to run a business. They are truly a company that cares about customers and want them to feel their best. Will stay loyal to Arisa!!! Thank you again!!!

I absolutely loved my experience at Arisa Hair. Leah gave me the perfect color + haircut to feel like myself again after some quarantine hair experiments. A TRUE GEM IN CHELSEA! Words cannot express how much I adore this salon! From the staff to the atmosphere, everything is just perfection! Leah is a goddess and so talented! She truly understands how hair works and guides you through your entire color and cut appointment! She is thorough and detail oriented! She transformed my brassy color to the most beautiful shade of blonde! Leah makes everyone of all hair types feel so welcomed and have such an incredible salon experience. I am a curly girl that has been a client of Leah for a long time. She is one of those stylist that becomes so essential to your life that you follow her wherever she goes and I have! When she decided to open up Arisa with her business partner and friend I was all in. She is amazing as a stylist and person. I moved out of NY and still travel from CT to Manhattan for a cut and the best blowout a curly girl can ever have. It lasts and I always get so many compliments. If you take anyway from this review it is book with Leah immediately. Straight, curls, waves, whatever you have book!!!!!

Arisa hair is a really cool and down to earth spot. I wouldn't call it a basic salon...it's an experience! The owners are wonderful and really take the time out to get to know their clients and their needs. I may not be the demographic that needs to go to a salon or a barbershop but I have sent some of my friends there and all they do is rave about the place. The owners, Sarah and Kat are class acts and I can guarantee you will have a great experience and will leave ready for whatever event you have planned. Their talents are unmatched. Check them out.

I have been seeing MArie for a haircut for a bit now. She is very talented and knows my hair and what I would be happy with. I have followed her to NYC. It was a great experoence and woudl do it again. The salon is inviting and all the girls are great! Loved it and am very happy with my hair!

I’ve gone to Kat for over 10 years now- following her from salon to salon. She does the absolute best with color and styling! She’s always looking out for what looks best with my face and life style- I trust her completely! Since opening Arisa, I’ve made the trek here from the UES and it’s worth the effort. The salon is beautiful, welcoming and feminine. Everyone there is lovely to be around and makes the whole experience special. Can’t recommend enough!

Daphne was my stylist and absolutely SLAYYYYED my hair. I came to her for a touch up on my peek a boo pink (underneath layer) which also grew out from a year ago. She worked with me to both re-do my peek a boo style and add to it as I wanted more pink. She really created dimensions, and it's like a beautiful balayage look with face framing highlights. I'm so in love with my look! We chose a brighter pink too so that it will fade nicely. She also blended my highlights so beautifully so that it would grow out nicely. She also explains the whole time what she will be doing to your hair so you can even check in along the way if you're that type of client. Daphne is sooo amazing with color and I thought it was a pretty efficient service time and great price (compared to what I normally go through and pay for in SoCal). Highly highly recommend Daphne for your color and styling needs

I have been coming to Arisa for years because it's everything you'd want in a salon and in your stylists! The salon is clean and cozy with a stylish interior aesthetic. They offer you coffee, tea, or water when you arrive so you can feel comfortable and settle in for your service. I have been going to Mel for cut and color for 2 years now and always walk out looking and feeling great! I have also gotten my hair cut by Kat and Leah and they are both wonderful too! Mel is a freaking joy to be around. Super kind, calm, hilarious, and most of all talented. She spends time to make sure she understands what you want and the results are consistently great. I was having a hard time finding someone that did a great job with brunettes and didn't only have examples of brunettes with blonde balayage. I've been able to do lighter looks and natural darker looks over the years and my hair has always looked great and stayed healthy. I highly recommend Arisa!

I've been coming to Arisa for over a year and have nothing but the best things to say! The salon is lovely and everyone who works there is so kind. Hairstylist Mel is so talented and wonderful--best haircuts I've had in my life are all her! I will never go to anyone else in NYC :)

My good friend sent me to Mel at Arisa, and it was life-changing! I was coming from a botched job and Mel took the time to correct my hair, listen to me, and make sure I walked out with quality color. We spent time together for a consult so I could describe what I was looking for - she showed me options and discussed what the outcome would look like. She is so sweet, funny, and understanding. I am so in love with not only the color, but also the cut - she gained a loyal customer!

This salon is any girls dream. Beautiful decor. Welcoming female stylists. Just perfect. I have been having my hair styled by Leah for the last few years at a salon on the UES. She and her partner Katrina decided to take the show on the road and open their own space. So I am hesitant to write this review bc I KNOW their availability is going to book like she booked before....up to 4 months in advance. I was so nervous to add color to my natural dark brunette hair but I put my faith into the hair goddess Leah and boy was I so smart to. She is so so talented and I am so so happy with the result. If you are nervous about social distancing --don't be. There is so much space! The lighting, decor, all fabulous. You will NOT be disappointed booking your appointment here!

I came here for three years and was growing my hair out during that time. My blonde highlights had grown out to the ends and was continuously asked if I wanted to get them redone. Thinking Leah understood what I wanted, I did. My highlights came out frosted blonde with tricolor gold strands and was uneven. I came back to fix it and Leah tried toning it but then became a red tone all over that looked brassy quickly. She had mentioned that it looked like some of my hair broke off but I thought it was new growth around my face. Later when I went home, in the next few days I realized that it looked choppy on the top layer, on the sides and in the back. As a result of this chemical cut, I lost three years of growth from 14 inches to 7 inches and was left with a red tone that I didn't want. On curly hair, short and red is not a good look. I have been struggling with my hair since and regret getting it done here.

This place is a sweet escape! After having my hair completely ruined by several other hairstylist in Manhattan, I finally found my new home! Not only is this salon super warm and comfortable and on the cutest street... they (Leah specifically) saved my hair!! Check out the before and after photos for proof. I've been a client of Kat P. (founder) for 5+ years and she is the best. I am blonde and she keeps my highlights looking fresh, and my hair healthy. I trust her 100%, she is the HAIR BOSS, and I just listen. She knows everything, just let Kat do her thing. She is so trustworthy, she will never steer you wrong and truly cares about making you look and feel beautiful. Leah (the co-founder) is also AMAZINGLY talented and so much fun to be around. Both hair stylists are A+ stylists in NYC in my book. The salon / business they have built is incredible, they have a gorgeous salon and I always feel at PEACE when I am there. They are always booked, but somehow some way, I am always accommodated. Most salons in the city are chaotic and I have found that some can be rude/not so accommodating. The vibe and energy at ARISA is unlike any salon I've ever been to. I will never go anywhere else for my hair. Never ever ever. They do it better than anyone else and are the KINDEST people. You won't be disappointed whether you are getting highlights, a haircut, hair treatment, you name it. I promise!

This salon is sooooo adorable and chic!! The attention to detail and decor is amazing and it is in a great location. Leah is an absolute hair goddess. She takes the time to explain the process and answer all questions her clients have. I won't get my hair cut or colored at any other salon!

I went here to get my hair done since it's nearby and have had trouble booking appointments at other salons during COVID, I was unsure of what to expect but was completely blown away! The design of the salon is really unique and aesthetic, and I like that they use Olaplex products. Not to mention the staff is super down to earth and friendly, I was tired/feeling a little off today and they immediately brightened my mood. I didn't really have any photos to go off of but the talented stylist was able to get me perfect hair just based on what I described to her. The color and toning skills I experienced here are the best of any NYC salon I've been to. Definitely worth checking out!

This is a beautiful and lovely little salon in the West Village. Both of the owners are extremely talented and make the experience of getting your hair done relaxing and fun. I've been seeing Kat and she's amazing. I love the interior design and the relaxed feeling. You feel secure knowing that your hair is in good hands. It's like hanging out with your girlfriends for a few hours while feeling beautiful at the same time. Highly recommend Arisa!

I was really excited to try this Salon after reading reviews. The ambiance was great and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I went in for a haircut and asked for layers and texture however, my haircut with Marisol was terrible it was left very choppy and uneven one side was shorter than the other I had to go somewhere else to have it fixed and blended and now my hair is way shorter than what I wanted. I'm usually pretty easygoing and would just let it grow out but my friends said it was hard to miss.

Best hair cut of my life followed by worst haircut of my life. Kat knows what she's doing and can give the best haircut... when she's paying attention. My second cut was a full 3 inches shorter than what I requested (a lot for someone with already short hair) and completely uneven. This follows being double booked, rescheduling to an inconvenient time, and taking me a full 45m after my appt time. Overall completely scattered & unprofessional. Lesson learned in being overly trusting post one good haircut. It takes a lot for me to write a review but I was completely devastated and will never go back.

I have been getting my hair cut with Leah for 7 years. When she opened Arisa with Kat last year it wasn't even a question of if I'd follow her. I live 35 minutes away but happily make the trip for my hair care. Leah makes me feel beautiful and is a joy to be around! Everyone at Arisa is kind, professional and excellent at what they do. I always leave smiling from ear to ear and a great cut and blow-out. Thank you Leah!!

Arisa Hair is a little jewel box of a salon in Chelsea that opened in November 2020. It's super cute with natural sunlight, cheery plants, and a Matisse like mural. Beyond the Instagrammable space is the warm hospitality and expert service. It's like hanging out with your best girlfriends who happens to be "beautifiers". I got my roots covered and walked out feeling like a million bucks.

I had my hair done by Leah at Arisa Hair. My appointment happened to be on the day of their Grand Opening. Let me start off by saying that no one could tell that this was their first day of opening. They run a smooth operation. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. I was led to their waiting area(adorable decor ), where I waited for a few minutes for my stylist (Leah). I had booked a balayage hair painting appointment and I could not be more pleased. Leah did an amazing job with my hair I am obsessed with it. I had a vision of what I wanted and she brought it to life. Leah makes you feel very comfortable when you are in her chair. I couldn't ask for anything more. Not only was Leah amazing but while my hair was processing the hair assistants and her partner Kat were so attentive. They checked in on my every so often to see if I needed anything. If you need your hair done this is the go to salon Arisa Hair is great.

Stylist was overly critical and quite rude about my split ends. Nice salon, but the blowout was not up to par with the price. I recommend not wasting your money here as I did. Many other less expensive salons will make you walk out feeling like a million bucks and give the care and attention you deserve.

I have had hit and miss haircuts for probably the better part of a decade, until I booked a cut with Kat after running into a friend who had just had her hair cut at Arisa on a whim. I went in with no pictures, only a vague idea of how to describe what I wanted, and I walked out with the best cut I've had in I don't how long. Kat was amazing, took the time to get to know my hair, was friendly, down to earth and I had a great time. I walked out of there on top of the world. And all for a super-reasonable price! The place is adorable, everyone was warm and welcoming, I can't wait to go back. Thank you Kat! Looking forward to having a hair salon to call my own...

Leah and Kat are goddesses. I don't let anyone else color or cut my hair. I have been going to Leah for years and I have moved several times but there is no doubt in my mind she is worth the trip. She is queen of natural balayage. I am a nurse so I have high cleanliness expectations, which Arisa exceeds! The decor is adorable and you have not lived till you have sat in their plush FOOT RECLINING leather chairs. And the scalp massage and hair mask? My hair has never felt the same. Amazing, lush, and stunning. This is my hair home!

My wife has been a client of Leah's for almost 3 years. Her work is flawless. I hadn't had a haircut since the covid lockdown. I was hesitant to step inside a salon for obvious reasons. After my wife told me about Leah's new, bright, airy, immaculate salon, I couldn't let my mane stay untamed. Leah's work is second to none. After showing her one photo of my ideal cut, she went to work, layering, texturing, trimming and styling like only a master crafts person can. OMG!!!! The best salon hands down. It is absolutely beautiful and up to date. Super comfortable, warm and friendly. They make sure everyone has a mask on and they take your temperature. Leah is the best hair stylist, she takes her time to get to know what you want and will be honest and let you know if it will look good on you. She explains everything step by step and makes sure you are ok every step of the way. Gentjana is the best assistant. Super friendly and gentle. My time at the shampoo station was an amazing and relaxing experience. I have never had better service. You guys are the best!!! Thank you for for making my hair look amazing!!!
