Aristocrat Pub & Oxford Room

I stopped by this pub for a slightly late dinner on a Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. It’s a very pleasant environment with a warm atmosphere, and feels very much like how a pub should. I sat at the bar and was helped quite quickly. Since I had heard of it beforehand I ordered the tenderloin sandwich with mashed potatoes. The sandwich was large, but not ridiculously so. It was well balanced flavor-wise, and I enjoyed every bite. The staff was both attentive and friendly, and I was able to cash out quickly too. I’d definitely recommend this spot for a good meal.

Ideal experience: You set your 8pm dinner reservation on the first or third Friday of the month. You show up way too early and you go nextdoor to red key tavern beforehand to learn the rules of the bar and ask about the model airplanes. Your reservation comes and the live music inspires you to two appetizers instead of one. Jay gives excellent and attentive service throughout the evening. Beautiful atmosphere, engaging staff and great food.

I came for the famous Hoosier Tenderloin Sandwich 🥪and it did not disappoint. The fried pork tenderloin was as big as my face 🤣and it was big enough for me to eat two meals in one sitting. It was perfectly seasoned 🧂and fried. Make sure to get the french fries! They were crispy on the outside and tender on the outside. Hostess was very welcoming and the server, Mitchell, was personable and friendly. If you are looking for a quintessential Hoosier meal with a fun pub vide, Aristocrat is the place to be!

Lunch with friends and siblings here! Tenderloin was large and great, midwestern style. Had some drinks. Played card games. I wish it was not as quiet, hoping for more of an active pub vibe as opposed to a more calmer restaurant vibe. Nonetheless we will be returning for the great food and great service.

This is our 1 night in town and we chose Arisocrat Pub. We almost didn't go because parking was so tight for our 2500 chevy pick up. But, a spot on the street opened up and we made it. We sat in the patio, which was very nice. Our server Alley greeted us with a smile. We started off with a lemon drop and straight up martinis. We hade French Onion Soup and a pub salad. Both were very good. My wife had the wild mushroom Raviolis (so good). I had the cottage pie, marinated hamburger meat and veggies, topped with mashed potatoes, and cheese. It was so good and filling. Our server Alley was so sweet, she took a pic of us, then joined my wife for a picture to add to our trip memories. We're a long way from California, so glad we stopped here.

I had a great first experience here! I ordered the Hoosier Tenderlion which Tasted surprisingly delicious. Also I was definitely pleased with the service we received here. Our waiter was very kind and answered all of our questions. However this restaurant is very busy and when we were here it was absolutely packed. Prices here were not horible and you are definitely getting what pay for. Overall if you decide to eat here you will not regret it!

Great food and the atmosphere was amazing. We had Cajun chicken and shrimp fettuccine. My Wife doesn't like spicy food at all, but she was able to eat the Cajun fettuccine with no problems. They were able to make mine even spicier. Only complaint is that I had to add a bit more salt to it, to help the taste, but otherwise a solid seafood and chicken pasta.

I wish I had remembered to write this after we got home from dinner so I could remember our amazing server's name, but alas... A few weeks ago, we had dinner for a friend's birthday. Overall, a party of around 8-10 on a Sunday night. We had a fantastic server all evening, who was attentive and had good humor. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was so nice and cozy. It was the first time I've been there in many, many years, and I don't know why we don't try to visit more often.

I ordered their signature Hoosier tenderloin sandwich. Fun, good quality sandwich! Pork wasnt dry, breading was seasoned, bun was soft, and veggies were fresh. Altho I wouldn't recommend ordering delivery/carryout bc I can see this thin pork becoming dry quickly. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ton of seating inside for small to big groups.

This restaurant has a classic, old-timey pub feel to it. You can sense the UK roots, but also this place is distinctly American. When I first walked in, I was enamored with this unique, lush woodsy space. The place feels like it's been around for quite some time and it's located in an area that feels suburban or suburban adjacent. I was a tourist in town and I was on my 'food tourism / brewery crawl' leg of my trip. I read that a pork tenderloin sandwich is one of the food items to get in town and through my limited research, saw that this place is a great place to get it! When I got here, it was at that odd time that's after prime lunch (I wanna say 2ish?), so I was able to get seated in the bar area right away. I was greeted and helped by the friendliest ladies, but sadly, I can't remember their names (Saturday 9/6/25). I came in knowing what I wanted so I ordered the sandwich and a beer. When the "sandwich" came out, I was like holy moly!!! It was huge. The person who brought out my sandwich just said welcome to Indiana, LOL. It wasn't so much a sandwich, more like a large schnitzel with a comically tiny hat in the form of a sandwich bun to put on top. The pork was tenderized thin and perfectly fried. It was a delicious "sandwich", but I had to cut a lot of the meat away to actually eat it like a sandwich and I had a nice snack for later when I got back to my hotel room. Hopefully I find myself back here someday. I would love to try some of their other menu items and explore more of their solid tap list and/or cocktails.

Fun! I've been here many times with a group event in the upstairs. This September, my wife and I went here on a date. We were greeted promptly with a smile. We were able to sit outside, so we took it. The outside is decorated nicely with a lot of greenery. We were able to have our conversation, enjoy the weather and have a great night. The food was good. I had the Guinness Stew special. It hit the spot! My wife had the vegetarian ravioli. It was okay. Neither of us cared too much for the sauce it was in. They don't have many vegetarian options, but there was at least one other she could try. Good service, nice atmosphere, fun date night. We'd come back

We stopped in before a show at Butler. It had been many years since I had stopped by the establishment. We sat at a high top in the bar. The bartender was quick to greet us and bring us waters. She was very friendly and happy to help with suggestions. We shared the baked brie, which was delicious with a pretzel roll and apples. I had the shrimp tacos. I love the dish - shrimp are sautéed and not fried. Helps the flavors come out rather than tasting just the breading. The cabbage and grilled corn is outstanding. This is a really good dish and very plentiful. I love the look of the bar and the old pictures and many a beer mug or Stein. We'll have to come back soon.

My first visit here was with a group of approximately 13 which they handled well. Service was fast and friendly. Our waitress took our orders without writing anything down. Great memory. I opted for chicken strips and fries which were pretty good. They are known for their large tenderloins. I had half of one for lunch the next day and it was tasty. Aristocrat is old neighborhood hood pub with traditional wooden decor. There is covered patio seating in the front and small parking lot in the back. I recommend Aristocrat if you're in the area and in the mood For pub food.

Went in late on Sunday night after very long weekend. Bartender was fantastic. Super hospitable even though they were closing soon. We ordered and he asked if we had seen the feature, described it to us and we got it. All the food was great. People sitting at the bar were cool and we had great conversations.

This was my first time stopping in at the aristocrat for several years. The inside definitely has a comfy English pub vibe as other reviewers have noted. I ordered the cherry chicken salad sandwich and upgraded to fries for $3. I'm glad I did because the fries were fantastic. Thick cut, crispy, with perfectly fluffy potato that melts in your mouth. Unfortunately the chicken salad did not deliver. The amount of chicken salad was pretty disappointing for a $15 price point. The croissant it came on was dense and overwhelmed the salad. The chicken salad itself was a bit dry and I needed to add mayo to compensate. There was nothing else on the sandwich like tomato or lettuce. The cherries were a delightful addition but couldn't make up for all of the other components. Overall it ended up being underwhelming. My husband ordered the fish and chips and agreed with me on the fries. His fish was hot and crispy and the breading seemed to have some cornmeal in it that added extra crunch. He also mentioned the tartar sauce being above average. All in all, the fish and chips was wayyyy better than the chicken salad. Our server was very friendly and attentive. And we enjoyed the ambiance and most of the food. We would definitely return, but I think I'd try a burger or the tenderloin.

Actually picked up an order to go here on a trip somewhere and we're very impressed by everything. Strawberry Blues Salad was so perfectly fresh and delicious! Came with strawberries and cantaloupe and I would not have expected this ever having cantaloupe in a salad and actually liking it! There was some goat cheese in the salad went so well with everything else going on. Very big portion size on this as well which I am very grateful for. For the sandwich, we actually picked the grill the tenderloin instead of the fried one to save some calories and it was a very good decision. People say that the sandwich can be a bit dry but this was actually lovely. We made a proper sandwich out of it with some lettuce and onion and some pickles as well and this was quite a flavorful one. 10/10 recommend! Because I strong as you had a really nice aesthetic Vibe and he would have loved to actually stay there and eat.

I came here in my twenties for some pints at the beautiful wooden, pub-style bar. I've been here for a private party and thought the food was pretty good but not outstanding. I recently came back and had a Caesar salad with crispy lemon pepper chicken that checked all my boxes for when you want junk food but need some vegetables. The service was a bit slow even though it wasn't very crowded, and call me old fashioned but I really hate when a server has an AirPod in their ear while talking with me. My kids liked the antique-store vibes with model boats and lots of other things to look at. Summary: interesting atmosphere, decent food, service could be improved. As a parent of toddlers, I love that for a Broad Ripple spot, I can usually get a parking spot here.

I usually come here for the Sunday brunch and as usual I am dragging a group of 12 or more people with me. We generally ambush these poor folk right at opening time. I have to say that they generally don't even flinch and just go ahead and put some tables together for us. The menu is still extensive, but until recently it had a lot more options on it. I think everyone can find something to their liking on the menu. The coffee is great here, the portions are generous and the prices reasonable. Service varies a bit, but is usually friendly and efficient. One of these days, we'll have to check out their regular menu too.

Kind of stumbled upon this place looking for lunch but wow such a fine looking establishment. You can't go wrong with the specialities and the schnitzel was special indeed. My German grandmother would be proud of this meal.

We'd been wanting to eat here since we moved to the area about 2 years ago, but we hadn't made time until this last Sunday. Service was quick and friendly, the interior has a cozy vibe to warm you in the winter, and the food was delicious. We will be returning :)

Was with a mid-size party of older friends and family. Decor was super busy and there were also large tv screens throughout. Appropriate for a pub. Our server was Jay and he was super sweet and patient. Also, high five to Jay for mentally taking orders from six people (all with mods bc we can never just eat it as-is) and nailed it. Food was great. Several had the Reuben but I ordered mine with turkey. So good! Chips were ok but the slaw was the best. That was good food. Parking sucks but nothing to be done about that. Bonus points for the bathroom being cute and clean.

Had lunch with a friend. Haven't been here in a while I was glad the strawberry blues salad was the same as I remembered.

This is a neat bar/restaurant with an English vibe. They have a huge selection of beers on tap and in bottles

The Aristocrat is like a warm cozy hug. If you're looking for a local place with good food, good atmosphere, and a large selection of drinks, look no further! We love coming here, it's our comfort restaurant. Can't go wrong with the fish and chips and the pretzel and cheese is our fav appetizer. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We love it here.

I have spent $4,330.12 at The Aristocrat since 11/18/2024. I love the Aristocrat. I frequent it several times a week. I don't normally go on Tuesday nights because Logan and Alex aren't working. I made an exception tonight and went on a Tuesday. I will NEVER GO BACK TO THE ARISTOCRAT again so long as Jason is working and/or bartending there. I have never met a person so arrogant, rude, full of himself, or confident when stealing from elderly clientele. The woman I accompanied had more than $375 in bonus points from her many visits to The Aristocrat. Jason assured me she PREFERRED to spend money rather than use her points because it was "too confusing" for her. To me it felt like he needed the tip money rather than he felt like doing his client a solid. When I said as much, he couldn't have been more rude or condescending. The same happened when I left. I told him to fuck off. I live close to the Aristocrat but will spend my $4.3K somewhere else this year unless they fire Jason. Be sure to go Wednesday through Sunday and sit at the bar when Alex and Logan are working. If Jason is bartending or your server, find somewhere else to sit or eat. You are guaranteed to be shocked - if not by condescension, then certainly by disappointing service or his complete disregard for the customer's best interests. Jason believes we prefer pay money rather than use our bonus point...even when we have $375 bonus points (PS do you know how you earn bonus points at the Aristocrat?) I don't know but I'm sure when you have that much money in BONUS points you've probably spent 10x that much at the restaurant. It shocks the conscience in my opinion.

The Aristocrat has some of the best food and service in town. The location is great and such a fun atmosphere. We really enjoyed brunch today-- Quinten was beyond kind and attentive. We enjoyed our Sunday morning!!

This is a nice place with a big menu and extensive bar. The waitress was great, knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are reasonable and the location is nice.

Basically Applebees food with a beautiful aesthetic. Loved the decor, lighting, overall aesthetic. Staff was friendly. But hubby and I both left with stomach aches.

I visited here for lunch today for the first time. We were seated right away by a friendly host. I wanted to eat outdoors since it was a beautiful day. They have plenty of indoor seating and a bar. Our waiter was quick to help and friendly. I ordered the Classic Club sandwich w/ kettle chips and a coke to drink. It was a tasty and lovely lunch.

Vibes are immaculate. Food is a little mid. Perfect restored pub from the 1930s with a nautical theme that transports you to England. Friday nights have live music ($5 cover added to your bill) which happened to be pirate shanties and old English folk when we were. Brussels were a little undercooked for my liking, with the insides being very green and tough- steep for $13. Cottage pie was tasty, French onion soup was okay. However, the server was very sweet, helpful, attentive, and fast.

Second time visiting Aristocrat, really should come here more often because I live so close! It's was built in the late 1800s which gives it a very cool vibe! There's a bar side with lots of seating and then a family seating area. I've sat at the bar both times, or wait maybe it's 3 times, I've been here. Great bartenders each time! First time I came here I got the tenderloin which is hugeeee. It's a thin style, really liked it. It placed top 5 on my tenderloin list. This time I got the chicken parm! It's chicken parm on top of fettuccine Alfredo. Love that it's Alfredo and not just angel hair pasta. I really really enjoyed it. Classic old timey restaurant with great food and a great ambiance. Check it out!

Food was around a 4. Service and attitude a 1. We came in and asked for a table of 10. 90% of big room was available. Lady at desk was completely put out and she sat us at a table for 9. What I said it was for 10. She just grabbed the chair and threw it around the big ground table. There were tons of space in a long aisle that could've put tables together. Service took a while for them to come around and they didn't seem overly enjoyed any way shape or form. I will say everybody thought their food was pretty good. And everything that I saw people had looked pretty good. I then got a call for another 12 people to come over. So I addressed it with the same woman and she gave me the same attitude. I know they had just gotten a party of like 15 or 18 to go in and they set up the table for them, so I'm sure she was thinking. Oh my God now we're gonna be really busy , but I thought the entire purpose of owning a restaurant was to fill it. Then the manager came up, said she could help and I made a comment about the post she apologized said yeah sometimes she could be a little grouchy. She then came up to me and said I'm surprised that you feel like I'm being unaccommodating. I told her she was being unaccommodating. I know it was a busy weekend for the entire area with lots of sporting events, but if that's a problem either close or staff for it. By no means, should you ever have somebody with an attitude who doesn't really want a busy place as the host. For all I know she could be the owner I don't know and I don't care because we won't be going back.

Come here for lunch and got the fish and chips, very average. The place does have a good atmosphere and I think it would be fun coming later at the night and having drinks.

Stumbled upon this place one day and had it in the back of my mind. My sister recommended it for dinner one night so we decided to try it out. The patio was packed with people which seemed like a good sign. We opted for indoor dining but it worked out in our favor because there was trivia! The inside had so much character and had that classic pub feel. I ordered the shrimp po boy and it was delicious. The shrimp was huge and it also came with very crispy fries. Everyone enjoyed their food. We ended up staying for trivia and got 2nd place which meant we won 2 free appetizer vouchers! Our server was great - so friendly. We will 100% be back for trivia and and to redeem our vouchers!!!!

Good food great service! We came here based on recommendations for the best pork tenderloin. It was good. HUGE! We shared it and got 2 buns as recommended by our server Chris. Wings were also good! Buffalo sauce was very traditional. Flavorful but not overwhelmingly spicy. Amazing ranch and blue cheese!! No pics but several of us got pastas! They were very impressed with those as well! We came in late night with a party of 8. Chris took great care of us. Would definitely recommend giving it a try. Huge menu and everything we had was good!

Wasn't vibing with the bartender as I like to sit at the bar when traveling. Had the "famous" Hoosier tenderloin. The guy recommended nothing on it - meat was good but it was all bland otherwise. They try to serve it as a burger. Skip the bread as it's irrelevant

Aristocrat Pub & Restaurant has been serving Indianapolis since 1933. There is a small parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. We arrived at 5 pm and all of the spots were already taken but we were able to easily find street parking. The interior has a split dining room with a fireplace. There is plenty of wood in the decor and the environment is very inviting. The four of us dined in on a Friday night and they happened to have a live music performance and some of the servers were dressed up as pirates. There is a $5 surcharge per guest to dine in and enjoy the music. We opted out and sat outdoors instead because our young daughters would find the music too loud. For our dinner, we shared two entrees: Hoosier's fried pork tenderloin with a side of cole slaw and fish and chips. Portions were generous to say the least. We are glad that we went with cole slaw instead of kettle chips for the fried pork tenderloin because it was a good balance to the fried food which was a tad heavy and dry. It was good to check off but not necessarily something that we would re-order. The fish and chips were standard and our firstborn actually cleared half of the plate on her own. Score!

Our foodie group came here for brunch one Sunday and I'm so glad we did! I've heard nothing but great things about Aristocrat so I had to check it out for myself. The ambiance is very nice and quaint and very old style with antiques displayed throughout the restaurant. The architecture of the restaurant is nice and gives it a nice family style home feeling when you walk into the restaurant. Our server, Julie Ann, was a pure delight and ray of sunshine. She took very care of our group and made sure we had everything we needed. She was on top of the coffee refills and kept us up to date on the status of our food. She always had a smile on her face the entire time. The food was incredible! I ordered the smoked salmon frittata with fresh fruit. When I took my first bite, I fell in love with the dish! It was the perfect texture and combination of flavors. The smoked salmon brought out the flavor in the frittata. The fresh fruit was a nice combination of different fruit with watermelon, blackberry, blueberry, and banana. The masala Chai tea was excellent as well. I am a regular tea drinker, so when I tried this tea, I loved it very much! The other members of the group enjoyed their dishes as well. One person ordered the French toast fondue and loved it. Another person ordered the West Coast frittata and appeared to enjoy the dish. I decided to get the Hoosier tenderloin with french fries to go to have later on for dinner, because my friend told me the Hoosier tenderloin is the best item at the Aristocrat. I can confirm that he was right! The Hoosier tenderloin sandwich is a great portion for one person and tasted amazing. The French fries were good as well and seasoned just right. I am so glad I ordered it and tried it for the time. Aristocrat is definitely one of the top brunch places in Indy, and I would highly recommend everyone to come here for Sunday brunch. The bar area is also neat and a great place for a drink, so if you are looking to hang out with friends over a beer one night or on a Saturday, you should come to the Aristocrat. There is nothing negative to say about Aristocrat! It is just fantastic!

Stop in yesterday for a beer and appetizer. Ask the bartender if the pretzel with beer cheese was any good? He said yes so we ordered it. Pretzel came out heavily microwaved and had orange canned cheese served with one rotten apple slices. It was $14 and not worth even $2 We had four beers one appetizer for $48 Definitely not worth that. Won't be back there.

As unbelievable as this may sound, not a single state has an official sandwich. And after eating the unofficial state sandwich of Indiana I think I know why. First things first though, according my extensive internet research, the official unofficial state sandwich of Indiana is the Pork Tenderloin. And if you are only going to eat one, which was the plan, then it should be eaten at the Aristocrat Pub & Restaurant. It comes on a bun (mine was oddly from Toronto) that covers a maximum of 33% of the loin, with lettuce, tomato, and three dill pickle coins and a loin eater's choice of ketchup, mayo and/or mustard (I chose mayo). For some it might be advisable to share. Washed down by a draft Ayinger Lager: Excellent!!! So good in fact I'm thinking I'll share another with Mrs. AAR if the opportunity arises. Oh, yeah, the reason why this great country lacks even one official state sandwich¹ may be the same reason this country can't provide adequate health care . . . politics. In Indiana's case House Bill 1143 has languished since 2023 possibly due to pushback from the Polish sausage and fried brain sandwich lobby. ¹ According to Wikipedia the "Taylor Ham, Egg, and Cheese," is the only official state sandwich. It was made "official" by the New Jersey governor on May 25, 2023, though this might just be due to the Taylor Swift's impending visiting to MetLife Stadium. Either way it has not been been approved by the state legislature.

Really great service at 5:30 on a Thursday. Logan, the bartender was very nice and the Hoosier sandwich lived up to the hype. Had a great sour beer, and loved the ambience too. Would definitely come back again.

One of the classic places in Indianapolis to get their famous pork tenderloin sandwiches. Pros - the pork tenderloin sandwiches are HUGE!! They pound the meat so thin and it absolutely dwarfs the regular sized hamburger bun. I like to cut the tenderloin into bun sized sliced and eat a quadruple layer sandwich. Cons - outdoor seating is beautiful but close to a lot of trees so bugs and leaves may fall onto your plate. Great place to get a hearty pork tenderloin sandwich and some ice cold beer to wash it down.

Such a terrific restaurant. I used to visit this place more frequently about 10 years ago when I still drank. Their beer selection is one to behold. Now I just come for the food. Last time I went I had the linguini and meatballs. I asked for garlic bread, which was extra. While the bill was a little pricey, the service and food were so good it felt 100% worth it. This is a venerable establishment in south Broad Ripple and one of the places in Indy I think everyone who lives here and enjoys good food and a terrific atmosphere should visit. I need to come more often. Diverse, high quality menu and a cool vibe to it.

Been coming here since I was a kick. Beautiful bar area. Great for groups or come alone. Good service. Classic standard fare. Best items are the french onion and the fish fry.

THIS is the home of the BEST breaded tenderloin in Indiana. Also, one of the greatest beer selections I've ever seen anywhere. Please, give it a try.

I stopped by this pub for a late Sunday brunch last weekend, and it was definitely great. The service was attentive and we were seated immediately despite the time and day of the week! The coffee was strong and satisfying, and everything arrived in a timely manner. The pub is also super cute. It was hard to choose from the large menu, but I went with the smoked salmon Benedict, which was SO GOOD. I also got one blueberry pancake on the side, and it was fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and definitely hit the spot. Everyone else at my table really enjoyed their food, the chicken and waffles standing out as a highlight. They were accompanied by some sort of delicious funky spicy syrup. No complaints here at all. We will definitely be back.

Recently we visited the Aristocrat Pub before a play at Clowe's. However, I think everyone else did too! Despite it being busy, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great! My husband enjoyed his cottage pie and my salad was big enough for two! The only downside is there isn't a lot of parking we had to park a couple of blocks away but on a nice evening- no complaints!

Best Bloody Mary on college Ave. Get here early on weekends, especially if the weather is nice because the patio fills up quick! But don't fret, the inside is just as fun. Offering a warm and inviting, home like experience. The food is amazing and they have so much to choose from.

Cozy pub, but with lots of space! My husband and I visited for the first time tonight. It wasn't too busy for a Friday night but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We liked the decor from unique light fixtures, to the fireplace, to cozy little enclosed booths. We ordered the fish and chips and the mac and cheese burger. They came out fairly quickly and we both enjoyed our meals. Our server was friendly and helpful too.

Aristocrat's is one of our go-to restaurants for several years now. The food is consistently good, and we always feel confident in recommending to our friends. The refurbished 1933 building has an attractive interior with a split dining room, a fireplace with warm wooden walls and booths. Just past the hostess stand is their inviting and cozy bar area. The patio is our favorite spot to sit with the beautiful baskets filled with colorful annuals. The large hanging ferns make for an intimate and pleasant patio. Once the patio closes for the season, it is a longer wait for a table indoors. We enjoy sitting in the bar during the colder months. I often make a meal out of an appetizer, especially the warm Brie and their delicious bread or the Beer Cheese Dip served with apples and pretzel bread. The Spinach and Artichoke Dip is another good choice. My husband enjoys the tenderloins, burgers, linguine, and meatballs or fish and chips. My all-time favorite is the amazing and super tender Chicken Marsala on top of a generous portion of mashed potatoes and marsala gravy. It is served with a side of soup or side salad. I always go with the dark roux and cheesy French onion soup, but the salad is also a good option as it is always fresh and crisp. Brunch is served on the weekends, and live music is on Thursdays, if I remember correctly. Always a large crowd on live music nights. Street parking is available on College Avenue or surrounding streets or in the lot directly next to Aristocrat's. Great location for appetizers and cocktails with friends, a special celebration, or a delicious meal.

My husband and I decided to go on an impromptu date night on the last warm evening of fall. We were happy to see that the outdoor area was open even though it was November. I thought this was the perfect low key place to go. 1 because I wanted to try some place new and couldn't believe I'd never been considering it's been around since 1933, 2 they have fried green tomatoes. I would get the same exact meal again. I split the fried green tomatoes and had a cup of onion soup along with the chicken and mushrooms. My husband had the chicken noodle soup and the salmon.

This is Indy's greatest secret. Exquisite food well made. Comfy atmosphere. Stephanie very responsive to our needs and my high maintenance lady friend. Clean bathroom. Just all around best dining and social i have gad in years.

On busy College Ave, we found a charming place with so much to look at that I wanted a private tour. On a frozen Sunday, we decided to have dinner there and it turned out to be a nice cozy time. The service was fast but not pushy. Though they announced that they were closing early due to the weather, they didn't rush us. Since Guinness on tap is always a plus for us, we went for it. A small bowl of French onion soup was perfect after a cold day. It was made with rye bread and it wasn't too salty, which I appreciated. Sometimes it can be. I had the fried green tomato caprese burger which had a wonderful flavor combination and was delicious. However, I would ask for more balsamic vinegar next time. My husband had the cottage pie and loved every oozy, gooey, cheesy bite of it. We will definitely be back for good comfort food.

I simply adore Aristocrat!! My mother & I have been patrons for over 20 years, which is a joy to be able to say these days. There's something so soothing about the classic pub interior. Our hostess was extremely welcoming and our server, Jay, was so kind & pleasant. I Mom & I ordered chicken salad sandwiches & my father had the fish & chips. Much to my delight, everyone loved their food, & we couldn't stop raving about the deliciousness of the fries. True pub-style, very crispy and seasoned! I'll probably try the tenderloin the next time we go, as the chicken salad lacked flavor, but the croissant & chips were quite tasty. The patio is as gorgeous & inviting as indoors, so look for me outside on a sunny day.

Food has always been great! The service is very timely as we enjoy sitting at the bar and grabbing a bite before Butler basketball game. With that said, the bar tenders are amazing! In the summer we love sitting outside for a weekend lunch.

The most charming interior, friendly service, Guinness on draft and live music! The Aristocrat is a total gem and one of my favorite spots in all of Indy. The wooded bar lined with TVs is an awesome spot to catch a game, while the restaurant side has a fireplace and plenty of cozy booths. The Aristocrat is amazing in every season, but really shines on those cold winter nights! I'm a big fan of their fish and chips and fish tacos. They also have a nice selection of hot cocktails like Irish Coffee and my personal favorite, the Nutty Irishman.

My favorite chill place to eat in Meridian Kessler. Amazing atmosphere, consistently warm service, solid food for the money, full bar and they have an epic fireplace in the dining room! I think its worth coming here for the décor alone. If you sit on the bar side, the bathroom is straight up Harry Potter's bedroom, its awesome! Food wise, its basically a nice diner. The entrees are a better value than the appetizers. If you skip the apps, the entrees should leave you with a bit of room for dessert and you should absolutely get dessert! (checkout my pic) FOR EVENTS -- This place is freaking epic. Definitely one of the coolest venues in Indy, decorated even better than the ground floor!
