This is hands down the best cocktail bar I’ve ever been to! Dob, Eric, Kalo and Cami are amazing bartenders—they make incredible drinks and always bring great energy. The atmosphere here is welcoming, safe, and feels like a true community. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, you’ll feel right at home. Highly recommend!

Recently came here for the first time and was very impressed! Walking past the entrance on Main Street, you wouldn't expect much, but as soon as you walk through the door, it feels like you stepped into a speakeasy. It's really cool! The ambiance inside is very classy and intimate. Loved the vibe of the whole place. The backdrop of the distillery behind the bar is so cool! The bartenders are all really nice and super helpful. They explain the drinks so well and don't rush you at all. Every drink we tried, we enjoyed! Personally, I ordered the Penny Chillin' and loved it! Such a good cocktail - I would definitely recommend it. Whether you're sitting at the bar or in a booth, you have a great seat in here. Next time you're walking down Main, you need to stop in at Arizona Distilling Co., this place is awesome!

Such a cool/chill place! Khaelo was our bartender, and we were so glad to have crossed paths with him! He’s the happiest and was so knowledgeable! His playlist was 11/10! He made delicious drinks, but the fruity ones were based off telling him our usual likes! I probably wouldn’t have thought to choose it myself, but so glad he made it because he nailed it, it was delicious! Hope to come back next time we’re in town!

Walked in, it was very dark but it's summer. It was dark, cool and pretty great environment. The cocktails are handcrafted but they are not pretentious. This is a casual and fun environment, they are incredibly friendly, our Mixologist was Kalo and he was awesome. I love this place, I recommend this place for a first date, after work cocktail or anytime. Amazing!

The Distillery tour was a highlight, definitely recommend it. Dinner and drinks were also great, the food and vibe were on point. It's clear the owners put a lot of passion into their work, and the overall experience was excellent.

Arizona Distilling is one of those places that surprises you when you walk in - unassuming from the outside, but inside is a cool, dark, sexy, and vibey cocktail bar! In the words of Miss Yelp Ambassador, hubba hubba! Walking in, you see the entire seating area... and it's a wide open setup, from the centralized bar area with seating all around to the comfy oversized booths along the sides! In the back, you can see where all the distilling magic happens through the large glass wall! It's gorgeous and everything you think of when you imagine the perfect intimate setting for a cocktail bar. I opted for the Rebel's Son - a wonderful mix of Copper City Rye, Dopo Teatro Vino Amaro, Rosemary, Elderflower, Lemon, and Cinnamon! Wowza, it's delicious!! Bartender's are friendly and happily willing to offer drink suggestions and steer you in the right direction for your tastes! Arizona Distilling is one of those places that I cannot wait to return - to start off a night out... for happy hour... or for a night cap! A well-earned FIVE STARS! *****FIVE STARS*****

Put me in front of a cleverly and carefully crafted cocktail and I become a Victorian man seeing a woman's ankle for the first time. Hubba hubba. Emeralds, copper, and a giant mural of the Arizona state flag. This dimly lit spot has given me my top two favorite cocktails I've had in 2025 so far. I thought my drink of the Beets & Rhymes was the best drink until my friend allowed me a sip of her Yuz Me Up. That was easily the best cocktail I've had all year. Citrusy, bright, with a lovely perfume of cilantro. If you're one of the ones that taste soap when having cilantro, you won't like this drink. As a cilantro lover though, I dig. I would come back for this cocktail, followed by the Beets & Rhythm (the beets will lower the liver enzymes after all the booze, okay?). Cheers, Yelpers! Come here. They make most of their spirits so rest assured that you are getting a taste of 'Zona and high-quality alcohol.

Note** there are 2 listings when I searched for AZ distilling and I'm not sure what is difference. Hopefully I picked the correct one in DT Mesa. This location has really come to life and it's great to see it! We used to go to the Tempe spot and it's nice what they've done here in Mesa. We came here last year shortly after it opened and we were just 2 of 4 ppl inside. It was new and unknown. That has changed, it was full! Congrats to them! The cocktails are great! I absolutely loved the clarified milk punch I had. One of the best ones I have ever tasted and I order them everywhere I can. Service was excellent. Vibe was fun and a good Time. My only thing I didn't like is that music was SO loud we were yelling across the table. I don't mind loud music in the right context- dancing at a club, etc. but at a cocktail bar with tables where you want to chat and interact with friends it's challenging. We would have stayed longer if not for that. One taken for that but otherwise it was perfect :)

Stopped in after dinner for some drinks. The place we pretty quiet so plenty of seats. Very cool Looking bar. This is the second time over here and finally thought I should write a review. Love this place. Good selection and finely crafted drinks. We tried a few different things but the whiskey was my favorite.

What a gem! When we walked in we felt like we entered into another world. Beautiful, sophisticated atmosphere. Our drinks were so smooth and so well made. The bartenders are so skilled!

AZ Distilling is simply irresistible!! The vibe is dark, yet lively! We were there on a Saturday night. The music was blasting! It didn't quite hit the ear bleeding spectrum, but it was close! It would be nice to keep the music on the softer side so we could enjoy our friends' company and have meaningful conversations without screaming at each other. Hint, hint, AZ Distilling... Aside from this, the venue was incredible! Especially after I got a sip of the Yuz Me Up! That drink is dangerously sensational! By far, my favorite drink of 2025! Or better yet, my entire life! I absolutely will be back to get Yuzed up! Yuz me as much as you like! As long as I'm getting Yuzed by Yuz Me Up, I'm a happy camper! Our server was super friendly, funny, and knowledgeable, and a cocktail magician! He gave us awesome drink suggestions, and made our drinks hella good! I can't wait to get Yuzed up again!!

Place was quiet on a Saturday night. Grabbed a drink and a bar plate. Violet Femme was pretty, but a little too sweet for me. Bar plate was fine if you need something to snack on. Would come back to try the pizzas.

This is one of our favorite local bars. The Mesa location is not closed, it is the Tempe location that is closed! The cocktails are always delicious and it is great ambience. Highly recommend

The bar is really beautiful and they make excellent cocktails. I was surprised it wasn't more crowded, but it was a weeknight.

Came here for happy hour which is weekdays from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. They have craft cocktails for $8 which I think is a great deal. I got a dirty martini and a bee's knees cocktail, both delicious. They had wood fired pizza and we ended up going for an off the menu option recommended by the bartender. The vibe of the place is kind of moody and dark, fun place to catch up with friends over a drink.

We absolutely love Arizona Distilling! Everything they make is just so smooth and uniquely flavored. You can't get it anywhere else. The service is unparalleled, they will hand deliver your cases when they run into shipping delays, absolutely incredible. If you go into the tasting room you will be a in a comfy, luxurious, yet casual place to just sit back and sip. A must try if you have not. Personal recommendations are: Commerce City Gin with Trader Joe's limeade or Mission vodka with Trader Joe's pink lemonade

Delicious drinks albeit a little pricey. They don't have food and don't let you bring food in. The staff opens the bar later than the listed hours and closes the bar early so you can't depend on the hours listed on Google.

Very cool, rustic local distillery; they also offer tours starting at 6PM. They distill their own Gin, Vodka, and Whiskeys including bourbon. Plenty of different selections for drinks, stirred, shaken, martinis, fruity cocktails, and flights of 4. Our bartender was very cool and flashy when mixing. If you like fruity; recommend the Dazed & Infused Ended up buying myself a bottle of their Bourbon - $35

The cocktails here are both sophisticated and original, crafted with a lot of thought and precision. What was meant to be a casual drink with a friend turned into a delightful experience with us each enjoying three drinks--no complaints there! Was expecting this place to just be a measley 3 star joint good for a drink or two, but BOY was I WRONG!!! The bourbon flight is fantastic, the lady got a spicy drink that got her feeling nicey, the bartender was full of life and the place gave some real nice cocktail bar vibes. I mean shoot I was tapping my foot the whole time to the music as well. Can't say enough good things about the old distilling co. Would recommend to anyone. I can't wait to go bowling

Don't judge me but I stopped in here because a coffee shop around the corner was a bit of a cluster. Glad I stumbled upon this gem. There were some old fashioned vibes in here between the lighting, chairs, and decor but there was also a bit of a modern twist. Our bartender was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable. We drank our way through an old fashioned, gold rush, and bees knees during happy hour. While I'm an admittedly a bourbon snob, I really enjoyed the gold rush and would 10/10 recommend but I wasn't overly impressed with the old fashioned. The bees knees was also excellent and the experience was one I'd definitely come back for. Worth a stop in for a drink but don't sleep on their pizza- it slaps!

At this point, I have toured 4 different distilleries in Arizona and so far AZ Distilling has been the best experience! Jason, the Master Distiller took us on a tour and shared a level of knowledge and history unmatched by other locals. His passion is evident in the products he produces. I found his Rye to be well balanced with a nice spice that finished smooth and not overly sweet. The Gin was a nice suprise. Without being juniper forward, it offers a nice citrus for balance and is soflt on the palet. Makes you wonder why anyone would drink some of the more familiar brands. The tour is well worth the money and I imagine I'll be back for more!

Nice group tour. We were told the history of the company- it was cute. We were able to do some tasting. Gin, tequila, and bourbon I believe... I'm sure I left with some hair growing on my chest! It was strong- ALL of them! I'm sure my grizzly gramps would love the stuff! Now the actual bar was sweet! Location was super cool and laid back, great location. Perfect place to sit and sip on a Shirley Temple! Just kidding! Cool spot to kick back and have some drinks with friends! Check it out!

Let me preface this review by saying I worked in the service industry and am extremely understanding of what anyone in hospitality goes through. This is solely a review on the service. We walked in on a Sunday night and sat at the bar. Everything was going fine, we picked up a menu and decided what we wanted. This is where it went wrong. We watched the bartender make 2 drinks for 10 minutes. He kept talking to the same customers. That's all fine and good, but he didn't even acknowledge, or say hi or hell be right with us. Just stared blankly at us occasionally. We wait for another 5 min and nothing. No acknowledgment whatsoever. We ended up going somewhere else. I can't tell you how the drinks were as we never got served. They looked good, but I can tell you there are many other establishments I would rather spend my money at.

I wasn't sure what to expect but LOVED this place. Unassuming on the outside, minimal decor on the inside aside from the plethora of the distilled bottles behind the bar. Menu consists of Classic cocktails and some with a twist. Fresh fruits and herbs made for refreshing concoctions on a hot Phoenix evening. The bartenders were super friendly and took great care in crafting our libations. All of this and the drinks were reasonably priced ($9-10)! I'm excited to go back !

Delicious Negroni and Whiskey Sour. Beautiful, cozy place. Ritchie and Jobe we're friendly and knowledgeable. We can't wait to go back.

The bar tender was very nice and engaging. The bar had a great feel to it, it even had a DJ come in towards the end of our visit. I would highly recommend stopping in and enjoying a Gin & Tonic. It was one of the best I've had. The Gin Martini was good as well. We had the Old Fashion which was okay. Recommend the gin!

This is a great hyper-small business.... with the added value they produce and sell booze. I'm happy this place is finally up and running - I lived nearby and it sat vacant the entire year I lived on that side of Tempe. One of my friends let us know about their daily/weekly tours offered that are done by one of the 2 owners who has literally put his sweat n tears into this business. It's $10 for ~60-90 minutes of the E! True Hollywood story behind AZ Distilling plus some tastings after (if you're so inclined). Because they're very much an upstart, it's not a fancy tour. You go to the back of the building and one of the owners explains the general distilling process and what makes their process unique, as well as some local history tied in. They'll also answer just about any question you have about booze. It was most interesting to learn about people of who distill in Arizona have to be careful about the process because of the heat/angel's share. The Commerce Gin is what shines out of all of their alcohols IMO as it pays tribute to the 5 C's of Arizona and has a distinct taste by itself. I'd recommend getting it over ice or just neat. The vodka won me over too since it doesn't have that bite that most vodkas have when you first drink it. Can't wait to see them grow and gain more success than what they've already achieved!

We popped in for cocktails this past weekend and WOW. The bartender made these drinks with scientist-level concentration and they were incredibly complicated (but not overly and unnecessarily so) and beautifully balanced. The Verde Valley is one of the best and most interesting cocktails I've had in a very long time. It's absolutely perfect for summer. There's a low key vibe and it's fairly quiet meaning conversations are possible - yay! Wonderful experience and we'll be back.

I purchased the distillery tour for two on Groupon. It was really informative & the whiskeys aged so well. The bartender made us really fresh cocktails that were delicious!

Took the tour yesterday at this developing business. The cost is $10/person and my group of friends ended having a private tour since no one else booked our time slot. This place is small and still in development. Some might not want to take a tour when a business is still in construction, but I think it is still cool. The tour guide is the owner of the place who does the actual making of the alcohol. He is a wealth of knowledge, answers any questions and super gracious and friendly. If you're looking for a big flashy tour, this one isn't for you. I encourage you to support this local company and check it out!

Did the tour on a Saturday evening. Enjoyed it a great deal. These folks care about making whiskey and it shows. After the tour we tried a flight of whiskey. The Cabernet finished is quite good, but I really enjoyed the bottled in bond. Dined on a tasty pepperoni pizza while sitting outside. Picked up a bottle of the bottled in bond before we left. Nice job, guys.

I've never been to a distillery before and this place made a great first impression. The guy serving our drinks was playing Latin music, when my group arrived and we started dancing to the music, of course a few drinks helped but the vibes were chill and fun.

Did a tour with Jason and it was so much fun. Jason is the owner and was so knowledge and informative and he is an expert in his craft and his passion exemplifies Arizona to a core. A must see for liquor connoisseurs.

My husband and I discovered Arizona Distillery last year and we still are so upset at ourselves for not discovering it sooner!! Our personal favorite right now is the Lager's Tail! All around great vibes at the bar, the people, the drinks, overall I would recommend going here for a date or a friendly hangout!

My husband & I had a wonderful experience here! We took the tour and stayed for some cocktails afterward. Mask mandated on tour () and even though it's a cozy location- everyone was socially distanced. We throughly enjoyed leaned about the distilling process & loved the whiskey! So much so, we had to get a couple bottles for our home bar!!

I really enjoy a distillery that provides, as well as their liquors, atmosphere and an interesting assortment of cocktails made from their liquors. One of our friends was also here the night before and experienced a more upbeat evening with live entertainment. This night we relaxed in a quieter setting on one of the sofas with a variety of pours and cocktails. I had been wanting to try their Copper City Bourbon for quite a while, and the pours of it here were very reasonably priced. My companions enjoyed the look and taste of their cocktails just as much. This was a great finish to an evening of checking out the local potables scene.

The tour was fun and educational. Their drinks are delicious and I enjoyed their atmosphere a great deal. Would be fun to hang out there for a drink. Be AWARE THEIR WEBSITE IS WRONG NO FOOD IS SERVED NO FOOD IS SERVED. We were very disappointed. The online menu looked quite yummy. Had to eat at Oreganos across the street.

Just delightful. They boast their own brand and have some delicious, aromatic cocktails. Would come again: bartender was also friendly and on point. Perfect amount of conversation and attentiveness. True service is hard to find now, but I have always believed (even since the days that I was in restaurant industry) that how you work the customers and your knowledge of the product is an art. This place just *gets* it.

This place was pretty awesome. Got a little tour of the distillery and quick history of this establishment. Some taste testing of the different spirits the make. Staff was amazing and friendly. Tasted their Vodka thats distilled 7 times and it was smooth and a subtle sweetness, their Gin is made with 5 different ingredients and it was truly a very unique and tasty Gin. Now the Bourbon was spot on, subtlety sweet and smooth and had a cool little story behind the name. If you get a chance check this place out. They also have a wood fire oven and make some damn good Margherita pizza.

I had started the day unexpectedly being laid off Stumbled my way into this location to continue my unemployed binge drinking. Ward 8.. sooo good All the bourbon is basically the tits. Mah dude loves the Gimlet. Long story short, you can't go wrong.

I went to AZ Distilling a couple of nights ago for a friend's birthday. The drinks were off the hook guys! I mean for real! They make each one so personal and they use their distilled liquors which seemed pretty smooth (I know very little about liquor TBH). The meat and cheese platters were awesome too. I can't wait to go back for more!

Great staff, excellent location, delicious cocktails. I had the Old Fashioned and it was arguably the best I've ever had. Oh, and the rustic theme is legit.

A good stop off our normal routine. Cocktails are a b+. Pizza is New York style in my opinion so a bit floppy in the middle, but that hot honey pizza flavor is BOMB. Will definitely come back!

I'm the first one to tell you that I know absolutely nothing about liquor, so it was great to experiment with drinks I wouldn't normally order at AZ Distilling. I do know that I am a big fan of a good Moscow Mule, and this place delivers a delicious one. I also tried the Kentucky Buck, which had a light flavor of strawberry yet still showcased the whisky. They have some super soft couches, so you may find yourself getting a little too comfortable with those yummy drinks! Try their happy hour, because they have multiple drinks available for reduced prices.

Their Ginnnnnnn! Oh my goodness! Its so good! I had "The Eastside" cocktail... actually, I had 5. They are THAT good! So refreshing and delightful. We will definitely be back to stock our bar.

The tour was really fun and casual. My husband and I enjoyed the drinks and the bartenders were fun to watch when creating drinks. I'm not big on liquor drinks, but the liquor distilled here is really smooth and tasty. We highly recommend this place and the tour. The food menu is currently being revamped, but there are plenty of food venues close by.

We went on a tour of the facility that was followed by a tasting of 3 of their spirits. Very informative & a unique date night! We stayed after the tasting/tour and had their meat/cheese platter along with a few of their custom cocktails. Delicious! We tried the mortadella pizza as well & it was perfect.
