Disappointing Culinary Experience That Undermines the Ambience
The atmosphere at this establishment sets the stage with promise — warm lighting, a refined aesthetic, and the quiet buzz of anticipation. Sadly, the kitchen did not deliver on the same standard.
I deliberately ordered the Margherita pizza — a simple, fundamental benchmark of any Italian kitchen. When done right, it sings with the balance of quality dough, fresh tomato, and milky mozzarella. Instead, what arrived lacked soul and finesse — soggy crust, uninspired sauce, and a general sense of haste.
Caprese was horrible 😢
My dining companion opted for the house-made Fettuccine Alfredo, a dish that, when executed well, is indulgent and deeply comforting. Unfortunately, what we were served was a far cry from the classic — neither creamy nor cohesive, with flavors that felt more cafeteria than cucina.
It’s puzzling how this restaurant holds a Michelin mention, as the culinary execution was far from the precision and consistency that distinction demands. That said, not all was lost — our server, Cuma, was a standout. Attentive, gracious, and genuinely passionate about his role. If Michelin stars were awarded for service alone, he’d wear one with ease.
In summary: A lovely setting, elevated by world-class service — but undermined by food that falls dramatically short. Not recommended.
