Arkle Manor

Stunning pub, excellent service and incredible roast! We had the trio roast to share - without a doubt the best roast I’ve had in a long time. The team working were so lovely and looked after us wonderfully! What a gem!

Went along today to the Arkle manor after not getting to go for a while! Simply due to being busy. So glad today though that we found the time and ventured back. Firstly the girls who were front of house were all really lovely. Very friendly. Very welcoming. Very attentive to our needs. Everything done with a smile and that makes a huge difference! It really does. The way the world is today it’s lovely to just get happy good vibes when you go out. Now the food! Wow! We were really really pleased! It’s a pub so we’re not talking the Ritz here but everything was really nice. Presentation was beautiful! The food was hot! It was fresh. The plates were spotlessly clean as was the cutlery! We were given all the condiments we could have needed without even asking and again! All delivered to the table with a smile! We left saying to each other that we will definitely be back. We are actually going to book for Christmas now! Thanks guys ! Really looked after us. :-)

Had Valentines Meal. The food was delicious and service was excellent. Jenna our server was very friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend this place.

I used to work for the Arkle as head barman many years ago when David Rustle was the duty manager. Popped in for some drinks and some food on Saturday 11/1/25. The service was amazing. The food was delicious. The young lady behind bar was incredible. Highly recommended as a place to just relax, unwind and enjoy what’s on offer. Thank you Arkle team.

I recently enjoyed a lovely meal at the Arkle Manor. I opted for the banana blossom stew which was delicious, followed by a mini crème brûlée which was the perfect sweet treat to finish. I was really impressed with their selection of non-alcoholic cocktails - it's great to see such interesting options available. I also appreciated that they included calorie information on the menu, which is always helpful. The staff were attentive and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The facilities were generally good, although the toilet roll did need replacing. Overall, I had a very positive experience at the Arkle Manor.

Every time I come here it’s been lovely! The food is always top notch, staff are friendly and the restaurant is nice and spacious with a nice outdoor area for good weather. Today was the first time going on a Sunday, where they have a different Sunday menu with roast options. Toilets are kept in pristine condition. There’s also a bunch of parking outside. Booking recommended as it can get busy on same days, especially summer. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Lovely place for food, nice variety on the menu. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.

It was hard to believe that this food was actually served in a pub. Arkle Manor lived above and beyond my expectations. Beautiful fresh produce served with care and delicately crafted. Had a lovely time with my girlfriend enjoyed good food and wine. Thanks Andy and Kelly for taking such good care of us.

The Arkle Manor Harvester is a pub with an ambitious restaurant. Located on the A25 between Dorking and Reigate, it does have a good catchment area with access to customers with good spending power The whole building is shiny and modern and the restaurant is given due prominence. Service was friendly through my visit but the staff weren't really familiar with the dishes I had the scallops and deep fried breaded goat cheese starter, which was served with salad with pomegranate seeds. These are all things that I enjoy eating but not at the same time. An odd combination that didn't really come together as one dish For main course, I ordered the pan fried calves liver with Parmentier potatoes, Savoy cabbage & pancetta lardons. This is a restaurant dish which I really enjoy when it's done right and one which I rarely cook at home. Sadly, the liver lacked char grill marks, which add a little texture and charred flavour. It also tasted a little under. The potatoes were nicely crunchy but salty. The salad was also over seasoned Happily, the meal ended on a high note with an exemplary sticky toffee pudding served with ice cream Ambitious menu let down by some of the execution

Chain pub which usually within this chain they churn out pretty good quality food and offer a good service, unfortunately on my visit to the Arkle Manor this was not the case. The service was friendly enough and the waiters were overall attentive. However there was a missed meals, no check back so had to hunt down a waiter and ask where it was. The food itself was fairly poor, my burger was dryer than the Sahara and looked like it had been left under a hot lamp for about 2 hours, several of my friends complained of the same issue. My friends lamb rack was tiny, overcooked and chewy and well overpriced for what he got. Was very disappointed, the only saving grace was the outside area is really nice and large and thankfully the staff are capable enough to open a bottle of cider and give a glass with ice in. Shame the cooking staff let the experience down.

I quite liked this place until I was washing my hands in the loo and one of the chefs came out of the cubicle and went straight out without washing his hands! Would you like to eat anything he prepared?

A gastro pub that I thought was a little on the expensive side. The food was good but due to cost I am only going to give this a three star. It is always busy with a full car park. Maybe I just remember it as a pub with people honking up outside after drinking too much Fosters. Sadly that was a good 20 odd years ago.

Great country pub serving good food. Modern and comtemporary suroundings. Relaxed atmosphere and perfect for families. Nice outisde space too so good in the summer. I've been there a few times and I'll be going back again.

Very Inflexible. We had Gammon and requested other potatoes rather than chips. We were told it was impossible. Also one vegetarian in the party and we found the staff to be most unhelpful in this respect. We had a set course lunch and could not make head or tail if the bill. We were sure we were overcharged but were so fed up we paid and left . Very disappointing.

I have been to the Arkle Manor in its various guises over the past 30 years. Now part of a small chain, it is greatly improved from its days as a Harvester. The staff are pleasant, we booked for 7pm and we sat down at 7pm. The food, although slightly overpriced for what it was, was cooked very well, service was excellent and could not be faulted. Menu choice was good as well. I would have given it 5 stars, other than the meal prices, which although not expensive, were just a bit too much for what you actually got.

This gastro-pub is NOT a Harvester.It used to be one ,five years ago, but now is privately owned and serves excellent food which is why booking is advisable.
