The 13 Best Restaurants In Deptford - London - The Infatuation

"Arks of Deptford—a pub-ish looking spot on the corner of Deptford High Street—is a casual, take your time kind of place. Whether that’s for a buffalo wing lunch or a full-on Sunday roast. It calls itself a ‘bar and kitchen’, but the menu, which ranges from an all-day full English, to a hefty-looking steak sandwich, feels like their main focus. The prawn tacos are the kind of thing we’d happily eat a whole tray of. The spacious, dark wood and leather-filled dining room could easily fit a large group for a rowdy dinner where no one will tell you to keep it down." - rianne shlebak, jake missing, sinead cranna, daisy meager

One of the best bars in Deptford. The staff are so welcoming and lovely. The DJ is brilliant and the cocktails are fabulous. An all round really cool and friendly place with music and drinks to die for and a great place to take a window seat to watch the madness of London pass by.

A pleasant spontaneous find! We enjoyed the beef tacos, chicken and waffles and a good juicy beef burger, we specifically asked to not have a smashed burger and they kindly catered for us! The music is so fun and lively, playing from a record player with a cactus on top! Sylvia was a great host and all the staff were friendly and helpful! Portion sizes were great too!

Absolutely not okay breakfast. I got one egg soft and one raw. I asked gentlemen to make second one not row but not well done just like the other egg. Arrived well done. No question if I need anything so had to ask for mayo. Bacon almost raw. Tomato not eatable. Baked beans were so hot that I burned my tongue. The best was toast. I went to the bar to pay and said that breakfast was not eatable today. They said sorry that I should have said. I did say about the egg.

I take roasts SERIOUSLY. And this place is an absolutely fantastic one. Everything was fresh, not day old hard potatoes like some pubs; huge portion; lots of flavour; and it’s any roast plus pudding and a pint for £20 every Sunday. Best value and best quality roast in the area. And wonderful service. Head down 2 by 2

Ordered a veggie burger, coleslaw and fries with house salad - the food here is fresh, unique and delicious, and the portions are generous. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere - they had a DJ playing some contemporary mixes of retro club anthems - a really effective approach to a restaurant meets club kinda vibe. Staff were very friendly too. I will certainly return when I'm in town.

We went here for a small snack in the afternoon and we were really surprised! This was the best cauliflower wings we‘ve ever had. A little bit spicy just how we like it. The chicken salad was so juicy and tasty. The service was excellent, really friendly and welcoming especially the waitress Abby. We will definetely come back!
