Where to Eat Near Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida | Eater Miami

"No frills home cookin’ awaits at Arline’s in the form of conch any way you’d imagine (e.g., buffalo style or a burger), fried fish, and seafood combos aplenty. It’s a no-frills experience that’s open for breakfast and lunch. If you start your day here, opt for the chicken and waffles, includes a buckwheat waffle and wings with a crunch."

While visiting Miami, we decided to stop by Airline’s after hearing so many great things about their comfort food—and it definitely lived up to the hype. We went in on a Wednesday midday and ordered the chicken and waffles, along with the salmon croquettes with grits and eggs. Be prepared: all food is made to order, so patience is key. But once the plates hit the table, it’s clear why the wait is worth it. The flavors were rich, the portions satisfying, and everything tasted homemade. What really stood out, though, was the atmosphere. It felt like Sunday dinner at Grandma’s—music playing in the background, regulars greeting each other, and an overall old-school, welcoming vibe that’s hard to find these days.

It was a Mother's day weekend. Placed 2 breakfast orders. And my orders took 45 minutes to be prepared..Got a little impatient and was told my orders was being plated. And that took another 10 minutes. Wasn't accommodating for the long wait time. Beside the time the food was delicious. Only will be going back if I have a free schedule and no others places to go.

Google
Family owned restaurant that treats everyone like family. Food is always fresh and served in a timely manner. Staff is friendly and has great interpersonal communication skills. I would recommend that any and everyone come enjoy the great food and experience.

Google
Was visiting and found this place not too far from my Airbnb! As soon as I walked in I knew the food would be good! I love the atmosphere because it felt like home, and it’s a family business with Ms. Arline’s picture right on the wall behind the counter. The sever was nice! Friendly people! The food was excellent! The music was a nice touch and was playing everything I know and grew up hearing. The Iced tea was slamming! We took one to go! Definitely will come back to visit and definitely recommend this place!

Google
If you are interested in amazing food, with the friendliest of faces, and an overall feel good restaurant then you have to make a stop at Arline’s! I travel all the way from Ohio and make sure to stop here every time we are in the Miami area!!!!!!!!!! The seafood is always fresh and delicious. If you are prepared to be astonished, try the red velvet waffles!!!

Lovely vibe. Excellent customer service. And excellent food. Look no further for fried conch, chicken wings, and the best cat fish.

Google
I had the Red Velvet Waffle and Wings. Everything was fresh and hot. The waffle did not give me the red velvet taste but it was still a good waffle. This is a place I would visit again when in Miami. -DEVIN

Yelp
My favorite spot to visit in Miami! During my recent trip, I enjoyed a classic breakfast of bacon, eggs, and pancakes, and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! There's just something about their pancakes that makes them taste out of this world. They serve you three generous pancakes, so there's definitely enough to share--if you want to, that is! This restaurant has such a warm and welcoming vibe, perfect for families. I've tried a bunch of other dishes on the menu, like fried conch, wings, waffles, and fried grouper fingers, and every single one of them has blown me away! Plus, everything is made to order, so you know it's fresh. You really can't go wrong with a meal here! Staff/ service is always friendly and fast!

Yelp
We didn't have our normal server but the lady was alright. They charge extra .99 for eggs heads up. No issue just a note.

Yelp
for Arlines. The food was amazing. %100 going back. I ordered a half pound of conch ask them to fry it soft it was done to perfection. I also like my eggs soft that was also done to perfection. Also grouper finger soft that was perfect. There were maybe about 15 tables in the restaurant they were all full. I ordered to go. My food was hot. The drink was really good as well. 5 s for Arline's my new breakfast place.

Yelp
After placing me on hold for 15mins to order for pick up someone hung up the phone on me, i tried calling back twice and no one answered.
google avatar

Reen K.

Yelp
Social distancing, face masks, and patience is a must. All orders are cooked as you come in, or order over the phone. So you know for a fact that your food is going to be hot. The eggs and fish were really delicious. I didn't really care for the grits. because it didn't have seasoning at all. But, the fish had lemon pepper seasoning. Yummy! I also had a yummy buttered biscuit. I don't usually eat biscuits, but Arline's was great My husband had corn beef hash, eggs, grits, and a biscuit. He enjoyed his food as well, but said the same about the grits. We visit here sometimes, so I know we will definitely be back soon. :-)

Yelp
I was referred by a colleague to try out Arline's for great tasting seafood, and I was not disappointed. I called in to place my order, and they were very nice and professional over the phone. I was given a wait time (which wasn't long). I showed up on time, and my food was already waiting for me, which is a big plus in my books! Also the restaurant was very clean on the inside. The fried conch and shrimps tasted so fresh and tender. I am so glad I tried out this restaurant, and I will be telling others about how great this place is.
google avatar

Denetria B.

Yelp
Customer service- slow but pleasant Stewed conch- flavorful , texture- could have been tenderized more Grits- bland but nice and smooth Biscuit- moist Portion size- filling , like eating at Granny's house

Yelp
Great food, atmosphere, and most importantly staff! As trivial as it may sound, my favorite part about dinning here is the music. No live band and no Dj, but all of the best soul music you can think of perfectly paired with the soul food. I haven't tried the lunch yet, but this is definitely my go to breakfast spot. Gotta go, I hear Luther coming on the speaker and my smothered fish is arriving.

Yvonne P.

Yelp
My go to place when I'm in Miami. Great fried conch and makes me feel like I am home. I eat here every time I visit family in Miami. Great neighborhood place to eat and the food is always fresh.

Tangalia W.

Yelp
The food at this restaurant is very tasty. The service is fantastic. It almost feels like home when we visit this restaurant. It's very cozy, warm, and you feel very at home. You definitely have to come here for all your fried conch and grilled grouper needs. 5 stars !!
google avatar

Yelp
Terrible coffee, but damn they can fry some fish. I guess if I want good coffee I should go to a coffee house. Nonetheless they can get away with the coffee because the fish is delicious...thanks guys I throughly enjoyed my fish, and don't feel bad about the coffee I'm a coffee enthusiast and I tough coffee critic.

Yelp
The food is alright. I went there hoping to experience a southern breakfast which it was appearance wise but taste wise it was lacking. It grits are creamy but bland even with cheese added. I had to add my own salt and pepper and I just felt like that shouldn't be a thing. I had the fried grouper fingers and they too were bland. You could see the flour had some form of seasoning but the fish itself wasn't seasoned. I had to add hot sauce to give it some flavor. The eggs also no salt. Yet the tea, fruit punch and lemonade is super sweet. I had to use a cup of water to water it down. I was confused about it, I get that there are some restaurants that cater to older people that may have high blood pressure but this is too far. I hope they can do something about it because I like to support local businesses but I also like good tasting food.

April E.

Yelp
Love the food service is decent family friendly atmosphere my favorite thing to order is fried conch and grits with a tea and fruit punch flop! A lot of older ppl also eat here so they don't season the grits as much but it's not a deal breaker. Home cooked meals and pretty affordable compared to many other business serving the same dishes! Black owned business !!!
google avatar

Vanette S.

Yelp
This meal was AWESOME!!!! I loved it and the service was as great as the food! I have eaten here before and have never left here hungry or unhappy. Thank you to all who work at Arline's to make it a great restaurant!

Chad Hamilton B.

Yelp
I love supporting black businesses but why does the food take so long and why no phone or online orders hard to support when you have to wait 30 to 40 min to eat smh gotta do better
google avatar

Sabina E.

Yelp
The BEST SALAD EVER made is the Conch Salad here. It's on a bed of fresh leaves. The strawberries are perfectly crisp & juicy (I never eat fruits on salads, except for here). Grilled onions & green peppers with a nice seasoning on it. SO MUCH CONCH soooooo good. I felt like I was in the Bahamas. The peacans or walnuts are a nice touch on the top, light sugar coat.
google avatar

Brian P.

Yelp
the best smothered chicken since my grandma past. Staff are always friendly and the number one key is the restaurant is always clean and a good atmosphere
google avatar

Al R.

Yelp
the smell is fantastic when you walk in like a southern delight . Always busy and never fails to deliver. I recommend if you're in the area give this place a try you won't be disappointed their catfish is the number 1 seller ! Good vibes great food fantasies music and a wonderful staff. Extremely polite and very friendly. They really know how to make southern food, original recipe and always fresh. Food is made to order never cooked ahead of time. So be prepared to wait for a fascinating meal ...hope you enjoy your visit as much as I did. I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Be prepared to wait minimum of 45 minutes for takeout service. Arline's had decent food but I'd rather go somewhere that's much quicker and the service doesn't lack.?It's been a llooonnnngggg time since I've eaten at Arline's, mainly because it's always packed which makes it nearly impossible to get a seat for dine in service (they had about 7-8 tables; very small). Because of that, most people opted for takeout due to the size of the restaurant, like myself. In the past I've had their fried conch which is really good and salmon croquettes (breakfast item) so since it was morning time and I was in town, I decided to phone in a pickup order. To my disappointment, I was told they stop phone orders at 10:30am which meant I had to come in, order and wait. Welp, when I arrived, I was told breakfast ends at 11am so lunch was now being served. The menu is hella confusing. Under the Fish section, it lists the types of fish along with two different prices. The first one listing nothing which I thought it was with a choice of one side that of which is listed under the fish heading and the second price with fries, parsley potatoes or salad for the listed price. Server told me that was incorrect. The first price is the fish by itself. I wanted to order the grouper fingers w/ pigeons peas and rice but she said if I wanted to do that I'd have to get the dinner with an extra side. So I ended up getting the dinner with rice and Mac n Cheese. I made the order at 11:37am and didn't get my food until 12:18pm. I was annoyed and had lost my appetite. When I gained my appetite back, I taste some of the food which was so salty that after a few bites, I was done. I'm sticking to Conch Heaven.

Saunnie B.

Yelp
Loved this place and never had a problem til now. I spent $64 on four snapper dinners for my family. The fried fish was great! But the pigeon peas and rice had so much kitchen bouquet (gravy seasoning) it wasn't edible by any of us! The green beans were straight out of a can / no seasoning and the cornbread was jiffy with too much crisco! I was surprised because I have never had a complaint there in all of the 9-10 times I've been there. I'd say order the snapper and get mac n cheese instead! I'm giving my rating based on past experience not just this one! Fried entrees yes! sides could use improvement.

Yelp
This is truly a hidden Gem and one of the best Restaurants with fresh and REAL FOOD that's consistent I moved from the Area and hadn't been here since 2009 and just recently went 3times in the past 2 weeks and the taste from years ago is still amazing as before
google avatar

Jay D.

Yelp
Stop by for lunch and the service was horrible. We had a taste for soul food. I just can't get over the horrible service. Hot chicken wings (a little hairy), but good. We also ordered fried dolphin fingers and talapia. I was given an 1/8 stick of butter with my grits. All in all, I won't write my mom about this spot. They need to focus on customer service!!!
google avatar

Roxane G.

Yelp
This is a diamond in the middle of Miami Gardens. Friendly staff and warm atmosphere keep my family returning.
google avatar

Felicia S.

Yelp
The fried wings breakfast is really good, and their grits are good which can be hit or miss for a restaurant. I also love the fact their food flavor is consistent, its well seasoned but not overly seasoned.
google avatar

Sha J.

Yelp
Took my dad for a new experience today. He had the stewed conch with grits. It was descent worth the try but you can taste that the conch isn't actually stewed in the gravy. It tasted liked they put the gravy on the conch and heat it together then serve it. The gravy didn't have a strong conch taste but it wasn't bad. However, the conch was still a tad bit tough; needed a lil more cooking time. I had the liver and onions with grits. The liver was pretty good but I would have liked the onions to be cooked a bit more with the gravy. I ordered the chicken and waffle to go for my son. The food doesn't come out salty so if you like salt you would have to add to your taste but it was ok for my dad and I. They have a drink mix named "suicide"; ice tea, fruit punch, and lemonade. It was tasty but a bit sweet just ask for lots of ice or a side of water. All in all its worth a visit; prices are reasonable.

Yelp
Good food, nice people. Haven't had seafood like this since I left South Carolina and moved to Texas 14 years ago

Main M.

Yelp
Absolutely worst customer service ever. The ladies behind the counter don't understand the meaning of quality service. I would definately enjoy MLK turkey and eggs better. i will not return to this location.
google avatar

Cheryl B.

Yelp
Arline's is my "go to" place for breakfast whenever I want good down home breakfast. The price is just right. The portions are enough for leftovers but there's never anything it's so good.
google avatar

Marissa J.

Yelp
This place has great soul food for the anyone. I order the macaroni and cheese, tilapia, potatoes salad and famous delicious lemonade. Restaurant has fried chicken, collard green, pigeon rice etc. Price was $15.00
google avatar

Tamika P.

Yelp

Yelp
Great food, prices are decent. Family owned and operated with very friendly staff. My Friday night meals of grouper fingers and crack conch never disappoints......Delicious

google avatar

Elisa H.

Yelp
It's like going to your salty auntie's house but she the best cook in the fam since grandma passed. So just be nice, pay your dues and gloat over your extra serving of mac and cheese and bigger piece of couch or cake. It's about the food at Arline's. Ego stroking is extra here, there will be no unnecessary smiling. She said thank you. So take that and shut up and eat. The Itis comes free of charge. Enjoy!
google avatar

Pret B.

Yelp
Been here a few times ,grits a terrible , tea and lemonade mixed drink is my go to drink here ,the red snapper and grouper finger are delicious. Other than that this is your typical local urban breakfast spot . More of an older crowd .

Natasha P.

Yelp
Amazing food. Sometimes there is along wait because of the number of orders they have coming in at the same time but the wait is always worth it. Great staff also.
google avatar

Syia A.

Yelp
Came here with a friend and all I can say is it's amazing! I had the waffles and chicken. It's a mom and pop restaurant. I definitely would come back. Very decent prices. Only had three wings and one waffle. However the price ranges from $4-$12 per plate. This place is truly underrated. The customer service is friendly and makes you feel at home.
google avatar

R J.

Yelp
Great local family owned resturant... food is fresh, made to order and worth the wait. Best cracked conch and conch salad. It's my go to place when I visit Miami.
google avatar

Niyaah T.

Yelp
My new favorite place! Catfish is beyond amazing, fried to perfection. The first time I went I had grits, not the best. But the Mac n cheese today made up for it all. Hands down the best mac and cheese in town. Flops are the best. Love this place
google avatar

Malcolm D.

Yelp
Arline's is a great Restaurant with quality food and a great staff. Food is always fresh. Try there seafood.
google avatar

Donald X.

Yelp
True soul food style restaurant. Nice size although there can be a wait for a table. Folks tend to eat a lot and slow. Hmm, that tells you something right there. Staff are very welcoming and nice all around. I had the catfish and grits with couple eggs over easy. Simple but well done. Finished up with stewed conch. Truly a second trip deserved.
google avatar

Jordana S.

Yelp
Great home cooked taste! Went here on a whim and left super satisfied! Great service and even better tasting food can't beat that!
google avatar

Joseph W.

Yelp
Service is terrible but they are nice and polite. All of the fried food is awesome, the fried conch and fried shrimp are worth the price. If u want something other than fried food, this is not the place for you. I ordered grilled fish and after 45 minutes of waiting for my food....it was horrible. The fish still had scales on it and my pigeon peas and rice was terrible. The collared greens was ok but overall I was totally disappointed after paying $14.99 for my dinner only to get home and find out how bad it was. I have eaten here before and this was the first time I was disappointed. Like I said the fried food is awesome but this was the first time I ordered something besides fried conch or shrimp or chicken.
