Drinks are good and reasonably priced. The rooftop is a nice view especially during summer nights. The spinach dip had 5% of spinach and mostly cream cheese ( I am assuming ) and cheese. Bartenders were friendly.

We enjoyed this place. Food was pretty good. One of the draft beers did not taste right, but they let us get a different one. Seemed like it went bad. They had all the NFL games. I would recommend this place.

My recent experience at Arlington Rooftop Bar & Grill unfolded as a culinary escapade that, regrettably, veered away from the extraordinary and found itself dwelling in the realm of mediocrity. Nestled in the heart of Arlington, this establishment offers a rooftop setting that, while promising scenic views, did not manage to uplift the overall dining experience. To commence on a less favorable note, the culinary offerings at Arlington Rooftop Bar & Grill failed to evoke a sense of delight. The food, regrettably, was below par and lacked the distinctive flavors that set memorable dining experiences apart. The menu, while diverse, seemed to miss the mark in terms of execution and overall taste, leaving patrons longing for a more satisfying culinary journey. Adding to the lackluster impression was the cleanliness aspect. A dining establishment's commitment to cleanliness is paramount, and unfortunately, Arlington Rooftop Bar & Grill did not meet the expected standards. The overall tidiness of the venue left much to be desired, detracting from the ambiance and contributing to a sense of discomfort during the meal. The state of the restroom facilities further amplified concerns about cleanliness. A clean and well-maintained restroom is a fundamental expectation, and the conditions I encountered were below the standards one would anticipate from a venue aiming to provide a pleasant dining experience. The unclean toilets significantly impacted the overall impression and raised questions about the establishment's attention to hygiene. On a more positive note, the rooftop setting does hold promise, providing potential for a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere. However, the lack of cleanliness and below-average culinary offerings dampened what could have been a redeeming feature. In terms of value for money, Arlington Rooftop Bar & Grill left patrons questioning the correlation between cost and the overall experience. The perceived discrepancy between the price paid and the quality received may prompt diners to reassess the value proposition of this establishment. In conclusion, Arlington Rooftop Bar & Grill, while offering a potentially appealing rooftop setting, fell short in crucial aspects such as food quality and cleanliness. Addressing these concerns would be instrumental in transforming this venue into a more compelling and enjoyable destination for patrons seeking a well-rounded dining experience.

Good sports bar experience. We stopped in for a quick lunch while we were in Arlington. The staff was super-friendly. The men has good variety. The food was decent bar food. Nothing special, but not bad. The chips & queso was surprisingly good...highly recommend. There are lots of TVs, so we could see all the games at once.

Google
Great atmosphere. Delicious food. Open until late on weekdays. Has a rooftop. Enough for me to get back, but in addition, they also take reservations for big groups, have friendly service, plenty of clean restrooms, and prices are very reasonable. Will come again! The only thing to improve - bouncer could be a bit nicer.

Google
Because of Google Maps images of the menu, I expected a veggie burger when I got there. They didn't have one, but they did have this tomato-mozarella sandwich that reminded me of a panini I would get where I used to live. I enjoyed it.

Dinner and drinks were perfect! I ordered Steak and Shrimp, the flavor was amazing. Mashed Potatoes was great. Definitely will go back to enjoy the food and the sunset!

Loved my view and my server Maggie was friendly and helpful. It wasn't crowded on Sat afternoon. I got the best seat with a view. My cocktail was tasty and only $9.

Yelp
We came on a weekday for happy hour and they have decent deals. We just got drinks and didn't try the food. Drinks are decent. I got the rooftop 75 and it's a sweet drink. They're cheap so expectations weren't high. Robert the bartender was great, provided good service and friendly. The street entrance was closed so we went to the other entrance. It's just flights of stairs (there is an elevator) and it's not labeled as we didn't know the whole place was the bar. The second floor is the main bar and third floor is the mezzanine level. I would rate it a 3.5/5, rounding up to a 4/5.

Nicole L.

Yelp
Solid spot for a drink with friends. Large space so it's good for groups. Food is alright. Works for when you need a snack.

Yelp
My best friend and I went here on a Saturday. We moseyed up to the rooftop and sat ourselves. We went to the bar and got drinks and were greeted by one rude and unfriendly bartender (female) and one sweet one (male), I don't know their names. The female bartender quickly asked (more like barked) us if my friend and I could order together because the credit machine was down. We both were using our cards so we asked if we could still use them, she said yes but that they had to run to the first floor to swipe the card, so it would be easier if they only had to run one card, we agreed. I wish she had been nicer. The nice guy made our drinks. After chatting for awhile, we went back to the bar to order drinks. I'm not sure if you always have to go to the bar if you sit on the rooftop or if this was unique to the day we went. We got the Mac and cheese bites, those were quite delicious. I got a grilled chicken sandwich, which also was quite good. We had no complaints about the food. However, the service wasn't great, the female bartender continued to be unfriendly to us and overall it was a subpar experience.

Yelp
If you want rooftop vibes, this is a great option! This was the check-in place for a festival I was a part of, and let's put it this way -- there were other spots to go to, but we had so much fun here that we nixed the other places. The margarita was just okay, which might've been because they were making them in bulk for the festival and probably got severely watered down because of the heat, so I won't really fault them for that. But the mimosa was great -- 10/10 on that! Now, I wasn't hungry at all since I had just eaten, but I just happened to peruse through the menu, and I saw something I had never seen before: Buffalo Mozzarella Sticks. Come again?! They were described as mozzarella sticks that were not only stuffed with cheese, but also had buffalo chicken. And instead of marinara sauce, they were served with ranch. I HAD to give them a try. When they arrived, they were slightly darker than mozz sticks usually are, but they looked great, and had wonderful garnish! You get 8 for them for $9. When I bit into my first one, I was in love. There was a slight crisp in that first bite, and the interior was full of flavor. The buffalo flavor was there, but not as hot as wings... moreso like a buffalo dip! It was like eating a buffalo chicken dip in a mozzarella stick, that's it! And the ranch it was served with.... omg. That was definitely a smart move, as the marinara would've made it too acidic. If this is an indication of how the other food is... well, I need to trek back and I try more don't I? Soaking in the sun and jamming to the music were definitely a vibe. By the way, if you're on the rooftop, you have to go to the bar to order food and drinks. I can't speak on the inside beyond the layout and aesthetics -- it looked really nice in there!

Yelp
Wow. Talk about a scam. I attended their Arlington Hard Cider & Donut Festival and, for a whole $33.76, you get two free donuts and a DISCOUNT on cider. Guess how many cider options they had? One. Obviously, it was just a ploy to get more customers in the door and, sadly, it worked. They ran out of plates, so I just grabbed one donut after waiting in line for 15 minutes. Most people paid for beer and cocktails, and the place emptied out in a few hours.

Donyiel C.

Yelp
Glad to see this business still popping! I've been several times over the years. Birthday celebrations and UMD alumni happy hours! Plenty of street parking available! A bit difficult to find at first but once you find it take the elevator up! Don't try to be cool like me and take those stairs. During my most recent visit, I was literally out of breath by the time I got up to the rooftop. It's alot of stairs!! The views are nice! The drinks are good, food is delicious and the staff = friendly! I'll be back soon : )

Yolanda G.

Yelp
Zero stars. Nasty drinks. Nasty calamari. First off we are not told there is an immediate gratuity for a table over $50 dollars. It was just me and my friend, on separate tickets and they still charged this gratuity. But waitress does not tell us until after she brings the bill. Secondly, we asked for frozen drinks which she could not accommodate so she says she will make a slushy drink. It was entirely too sweet. We asked her to balance it with a something. She adds another shot which was 6 extra dollars but you don't tell us until after you do it. Food was frozen calamari with some old marinara jar sauce. One and done! Please do not waste your time!

Amanda L.

Yelp
Honestly the best part about this place is the smell of the Indian food from the restaurant below. The music is honestly not that great and not a vibe. The food is soooo mid. The Mac and cheese bites are definitely just Kraft Mac&cheese, which is fine if you like that. The buffalo mozzarella sticks were honestly pretty good, no complaints. The drinks were just okay. The elevator smells like my armpit tbh. Probably would not come back

Zachary K.

Yelp
Have sat up on the roof twice now - great for a couple of beers or simple cocktails. Staff is quick even when busy. Great late night option in Arlington

Kelly L.

Yelp
Is this place open? My friend had a party planned for 50+ people, confirmed with the manager. We arrived the day of and the restaurant was abandoned with no one inside. Tried calling and no one picked up our calls or got back to us. Very poor experience and had to quickly find a new place to move our entire party

Eric L.

Yelp
horrible and racist scamming staff. the two women who were roof a white woman and south Asian woman (maybe), we're extremely rude. they over charged me and didn't even provide me with a receipt to sign. they were racist when I first went up and assumed I didn't have money. the white woman called said people like him come in all the time and never have the money. why did this company say they accept Apple Pay if they dont? the brown lady of the two then proceeded to give me a nasty attitude and served me drinks with mosquito in it. then she overcharge me, my drink was supposed to be 4 dollars but I wended up paying 15. something isn't write, I didn't even sign the receipt. frauddddd

Yelp
Arlington Rooftop is right outside of the hustle and bustle of Clarendon, making it the perfect spot to have a chill drink and a bite to eat. I'm a big fan of, you guessed it, the rooftop. It's a perfect spot to hang out with a small or large group. They have a full service bar right there. You can also order apps from the kitchen. I love their signature drinks. They are all pretty good. They also have great frozen cocktails to choose from. I highly recommend going for happy hour. All the drinks are half off and the apps are cheap during happy hour! It's such a bargain. Overall, nice place to chill during the day or later in the evening. Check it out.

Jerran N.

Yelp
Was informed to check this place out for a Cowboys game. There was a meetup scheduled so I went. Atmosphere was off the charts with cowboys fans. We were loving the game. They have about 10-15 TV's on the main floor. Now onto the food. You can keep it. They need a new cook. Wings were basic and dry. Salad wasn't much better. Blew my mind when I saw someone else get breakfast. The breakfast portion looked Great! Wish I would have tried that but it wasn't on any menu I saw. When I go back I'll shoot for the breakfast.

Surya J.

Yelp
I just don't like the automatic 22 per cent tip they put on without informing you and then have another line for tip on the bill. They want you to double tip. The service is not so great for the automatic tip they charge you. I had to wait a long time to get my drink order served and you are lucky to get the attention of the bartender.

Savi D.

Yelp
Met up with one of my good friends who now stays in DC. We decide to come to this restaurant. Literally there were maybe 8 People there the entire time we were there. The food was really good the one guy that was there did a great job! He was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I had the wings and two grapefruit margaritas. My friend had burger sliders and and her favorite crown apple. I recommend this place.

Barbara B.

Yelp
Fun place to hang out and great happy hour! I'm a sucker for good bar food, and Arlington Rooftop Bar has got some amazing choices! We has the nachos, calamari, bacon wrapped shrimp and chilli fries. Everything was delicious, with very generous portions. A step above regular bar apps - the nachos had steak on them (not ground beef) and the calamari came with fried cauliflower and pickled peppers, which were a nice twist. They have a lot of beers and wine on their menu, but I went for the Moscow Mule based on a recommendation from a friend. OMG! It was the best one Mule I've ever had - probably due to the fresh ginger juice in their secret (not ginger beer here). Again, a very generous pour/portion. Ambiance was good - lower key inside (where we sat) with a bit younger crowd on the rooftop. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves! This is a great bar _and we should all do our part to make sure small, owner-operated establishments make it out of this pandemic intact. COVID-19 Info: All staff properly masked, tables inside are well socially distanced and signs at the entrance to remind people to wear their masks. Felt very safe eating indoors since our table had lots of room around it.

Amber M.

Yelp
For starters, our waiter was super friendly & helpful, and made the night that much better! The food was amazing!!! Definitely going back to try more menu items! And we got our food in a timely manner. Definitely enjoyed myself! Even the security was awesome!

Nathan W.

Yelp
Great bar. Great service. Great vibes. Five stars. Honestly just typing to meet the character requirement now because there's not much else to say. Highly recommend.

Jen T.

Yelp
FUN Venue! I was reluctant to come here because I was concerned about parking . . .well, I should not have waited so long. Parking is plentiful and super easy on the streets. I attended a club event on the third floor- great location for a club meeting. Our bartender was Magtek Edynamo- he was on point, he was quick, got all our orders right and he was friendly. Both the food and drinks were excellent. I look forward to coming back again soon.

Catherine M.

Yelp
Great Happy Hour- seems like they updated their food options in general and up on the roof which was much needed. $2 off signature drinks (hello $6 orange crush), $5 wine and froze, cheap beer, etc. and a lot of $6 apps like chicken tenders, wings, nachos. Is the food something I would crave or order for take out? Unfortunately not. However it's decent, cheap on HH, and the drinks and the rooftop is what makes this place. On a warm day in Arlington, even with COVID, the rooftop was crowded (social distancing still fine). Their orange crushes are sweet but pretty great.

Dani P.

Yelp
Updating because in my last review I said I didn't see an actual rooftop... I came here for a second happy hour with coworkers on a day that it was really nice, and we DID go on the rooftop. We found seats despite it being packed. I'd say rooftop service isn't as great as inside, but in their defense they really were packed and the bar was tiny. I ordered nachos for our table while a coworker ordered sliders. For some reason hers were brought to us but the nachos weren't. When I went to the bar, the bartender said I wandered off and was supposed to pick them up there at the bar. Oh? Okay.

Apple S.

Yelp
Great seating and layout, nice 360 view. Good cocktail menu. High tables and chairs that are not just cheap bar stools but comfortable and nice. Friendly staff that keeps checking on you. The elevator takes you to the top.

Bryan M.

Yelp
Garret Garret Garret This is a sober review The bar is awesome, my second time here and I'm impressed with the service, drinks, attention and FOOD! The crab cake slider are delicious. Our server Gary was awesome! Ask for him when visiting.

Kelly C.

Yelp
Had a private event here for my birthday. The process of touring, booking, catering was all done flawlessly. Everything was communicated so food came out exactly when I wanted it to for my guests. Drinks were strong (in a good way - not watered down) with many selections. They also let us decorate with the props I brought. Very fun evening and will tell friends to book there!

Emily M.

Yelp
Fried Chicken on Brioche Bun with sweet potato fries. Soooo good. And super reasonably priced at $11! I love coming here! They also have a happy hour! (Not sure when the happy hour starts and ends, but when I went at 6:30, my beer was half off!)

Kelly B.

Yelp
Arlington rooftop is a terrible place to go. They kicked me out because I went into the male bathroom. I do not identify as a woman (thought presenting as one) and when I told them this they did not care, treated me worse and continued to kick me out. They are inconsiderate and transphobic. I would not recommend their bar.

Christina H.

Yelp
We were a group of 8 and there was only 4 other people in the whole place. The service was very slow and many of our orders didn't come out right. Food was only mediocre and drinks so so. Was very disappointed. Thought we would have better service since there wasn't anyone else to wait on.

Nia C.

Yelp
Great place during covid-19. My friends and I were going to the lot but it was crowded so we came here. Great service, food, and drinks. The view is pretty great as well.

Maiba C.

Yelp
Vibe: This is a nice, chill spot in Arlington. It does not seem to get very crowded and could be a good place to hold an event, like a birthday party, without paying to reserve the space. It is simply decorated but it works. Could be a great first date spot. Drinks: The bar is interesting. My friends and I drink down the menu and we liked about half of the drinks. None of them were particularly strong. My husband said they had a good selection of whiskeys. They also to have several beers on tap. Food: The Buffalo chicken sliders were good. The nachos were nothing more than shredded cheese melted hastily on tortilla chips. The crab dip was a little salty, but good. People at the table also liked the calamari.

Cali W.

Yelp
I love the environment of this place. But my review is the same as all the other poor reviews you have read. I have had the same poor experience. The rooftop is nice and the inside restaurant is looking great with the new updated look. However, the food is disgusting here. They need a new chef to make the menu item taste better. I have tried many food items and they all disappointed me. I come here for the drinks other than that this place MEH.

Eden D.

Yelp
This is my first time being here with my good friends, this is a Great place to hang out, It is not crowded, the workers here so friendly Definitely recommend this place, I will definitely come here again

Shafi A.

Yelp
Nice spot for evenings and great look of Arlington. The team is great, Josh is the best man.

Sophie K.

Yelp
Really great place in Arlington. Not super busy but still super great! Our bartenders were super chill and very accommodating! Drinks are really smooth and well made, and the Freedom Fries are delicious. Definitely recommend!

Ashley R.

Yelp
Ambiance is amazing. Crab dip was good. Drinks to watered down. Would come back most likely for a picture opp.

Connor D.

Yelp
Such a great spot! Good prices and a nice set up, had a realty good time having drinks here last week. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Julia S.

Yelp
The rooftop has no frills but serves its purpose. When the weather is nice, it's awesome to sit and have a couple drinks while soaking in the sun. However, I prefer the second floor as it's very open and welcoming. The drinks are good, prices are decent, and service is attentive. Happy hour bites are ok. I think the hummus was the best out of all the choices. Can't go wrong when you are in the courthouse area.

Renzo C.

Yelp
If you read the reviews - you will see a theme start to emerge. Awful service (slow, not attentive) and mediocre food. My experience was exactly like everyone else has said. The service was awful - slow doesn't even begin to describe the situation. The bar situation was awful - the three people working weren't even covering 30% of the bar. They just left it alone - I had to wait 30 minutes for a drink - and I was only one person away from the bar. I would blame the owner or manager - but it was apparent that he was there that day. So the problems are 1) poor coverage of the bar (the bartenders don't split the bar into sections and work each section), 2) the drinks are spread out all over the place so they have to walk across the bar to get simple and common drinks, 3) the take your credit card and hold it as opposed to swiping it and giving it back (that makes you have to wait in line to get it back), 4) their credit card system (for holding card is awful) - I saw them knock over the box at least once and then just game the cards out of order back in the box. The person I had to wait an hour for food and she was there when they opened up - so its not like the kitchen was backed up. For the longest time - this bar has had issues with speed. The second they get more than 1 person waiting - everything goes to hell. I wish they would get their act together or close up shop. Take pride in your craft of leave the field.

Shilough C.

Yelp
I have no idea why this place has such low reviews! Walked in, the place was clean, decorated for Christmas, and everyone was appropriately distanced. The bartender (Josh?) was super nice, changed one for the tv's to my team's game, and was prompt with service. The food was awesome! Had the queso and the sliders. I'm definitely making this a go-to spot from now on!

Evan P.

Yelp
Friendly staff, solid beer selection, and large open space on the 2nd floor. The long bar, high-top tables, and booths make this a great location for catching up and the multiple tvs make it a good spot for watching a game or catching happy hour. Service was on point. Check out the rooftop too to enjoy that fresh Arlington breeze.

Bill T.

Yelp
This roof, this roof, this roof is not on fire, so there's no need for water and we don't have to worry about it burning. Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. It's kind of like an upscale sports bar. Nice tables and cloth napkins along with televisions everywhere (including the men's room). Very friendly service. Unfortunately, they didn't have the first three beers we asked for. A suggestion, if you run out of beers frequently, maybe just print daily beer lists so you don't have people order three beers only to be told "We're out of that", "Oh we just ran out", "We actually don't have that right now". Finally found a beer, then ordered some food. I got a steak sandwich, which was okay. The steak was thicker and tougher than I would have thought. I liked the fried egg, though. My BFFC got the veggie flatbread and added grilled chicken. She liked it. It was huge so she ended up taking half of it home. Overall, this is a nice place but there's nothing that would make me really motivated to go back. Maybe when the weather is nice and the roof is open that would be cool. Overall, just an okay place. There was one other thing, but it's just a quibble. We wanted seltzer or club soda and they brought us tonic water. If you drink seltzer you know swallowing a big mouthful of tonic is unappealing at best. They swapped them out quickly. Nice service but just "meh" for food and drink.

Shana O.

Yelp
We reserved a a party on the roof for 40 people and made sure it was confirmed. when we got her they put us inside and told us we "never booked the rooftop". However we paid a lot of money and this is bullshit. Never try to book a party here.

Dana Z.

Yelp
Coworker: Where'd you go on Friday? Me: A place in Arlington. It was ok. That's pretty much it. If you aren't going here in the nice weather to sit on the roof, I don't know why you really would go here. The service was hit or miss. Our server was really inattentive and we latched on to another girl who was working there (and was super sweet) and she helped us most of the night. The worst offender of the night was their margaritas. All sour mix. No alcohol. I never send things back. I actually sent it back and when they brought me a new one it was barely better. Blech

Lia M.

Yelp
I actually quite like Arlington Rooftop Bar and Grill, which is why I suggested that Dana meet me there on a beautiful Saturday evening. I've never been late night, but only after work and in the early evening. The bartenders are fairly friendly, and the crowd is fairly chill, so it makes for a good time. However, I had some of the worst service ever. Between timing, overly sweet drinks, and not getting what I ordered, it was not the best experience. Our first server was just completely clueless and she disappeared until we had already asked for the check. The second server was friendly, but I think she was maybe overworked. They happily fixed our margaritas for us, which was much appreciated. It was my first time eating dinner there, and I was excited for my favorite thing ever, a grilled chicken sandwich. However, I got a caprese sandwich with a side of chopped grilled chicken. By that time, I was so hungry, I didn't care. It was OK, nothing special. Fries were delicious though, and I highly recommend those, if you go. This another review that I wavered on. But between awkward, bad service and food that was not correct and didn't stand out, I probably wouldn't eat dinner there again, but I'd go back for happy hour if I could be assured a seat at the bar.

Katherine R.

Yelp
I am not a big fan of Arlington bars in general. The streets are clean, and the building are nice, but the bar scene, in my opinion, isn't great compared to DC, or really most big cities. It is just a completely different vibe. So of course, my reviews are going to reflect that. If you all "I love Arlington," you may love this place. I didn't eat here, but it took a good bit to get one Redbull, so based off that, the service is a bit slow. The layout is OK. The second floor where we were is a large room with a bar area you can sit at, and tables where you can grab food. I mean, I can't say much more about it. It was a room, with tables and chairs, which serves alcohol... Nothing stood out. I would go back if my friends insisted on going here, but I doubt they will. This isn't a place I'd pick. But that is just me. No harm in checking it out and deciding for youself! And to be fair, it was raining when I arrived so I didn't check out the rooftop.

Quintessa G.

Yelp
Watered down drinks accompanied with bad service. Stay away. So many better bars with better drinks and service.

Yaka H.

Yelp
Great place to have a meal and drinks when the weather is nice outside. You do have to walk up a few flights of stairs to get to the restaurant/bar itself (it is on the roof of the building), but there is an elevator available for use. I opted for the duck reuben. I wish the bread was toasted, as it got pretty soggy with the delicious aus ju. Otherwise, the duck was very tender. Drinks came in plastic cups.

Selin B.

Yelp
Rooftop is really nice but both service and food are just decent. For example, beer cheese was watery and lacking taste, chicken was ovecooked in my grilled chx sandwich, and while the wings are good it's 8 for $10... Really?? The crab dip is delicious tho.

Lauren R.

Yelp
I recently hosted my husband's surprise birthday party at Arlington Rooftop. I worked with Scott to plan the event, he was very responsive, accommodating, and helpful. We had the small section to the right of the bar as you exited the elevator, which I was allowed to decorate for the party. We ordered a few snacks off the catering menu and it was applied towards my rental minimum food/beverage requirement. Once the minimum was hit, my tab was closed and the party hung around much later with their own tabs. Our bartender, Stephen was very attentive and friendly, even with a busy crowd that night. It may have been the best night of the summer, with no humidity and a warm breeze. We had a great time and I highly recommend Arlington Rooftop for a personal event!

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Save your time and don't come here. Service doesn't existent. Go somewhere else and spend your money. Menu sucks, service sucks. Just like all the reviews say

Irina R.

Yelp
This place has a very small rooftop bar, it's nice but they should put up a few umbrellas for some shade. The food was good nothing to complain about. I ordered a cocktail, it had barely any alcohol in it, maybe non at all. So that's why I was kind of disappointed. But overall, an okay place.
