Puppers Policetti

I tried the pan pepperoni pizza at the Armands location over on Western Ave a few weeks back, and it was absolutely fantastic. Just found out there was one in EP, too, so I ordered from them recently. I ordered a large specialty pizza called the Elmwood Park Special, which came with sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. Showed up at my door about an hour later and dug right into it. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. It's difficult to gauge how good it might have been as I received a lukewarm pie by the time it arrived. I'm gonna try their pan pepperoni next time just to have a solid metric with which to compare quality with their Western Ave location. If I am able, I'll probably end up just driving over to pick it up or dine-in next time just to avoid the delivery fee because it came out to like 45 bucks for a single 14" pizza.
Edit: My usual pizza spot was closed for a holiday recently, so I ended up ordering delivery from this location again. After placing my order, I got my pizza after an hour and a half. Pizza was no longer warm when it arrived and was overly salty for whatever reason. The upside, at least, was that the toppings were ample. It's definitely still a huge disappointment given the prices, especially in today's economy. Waiting more than an hour and a half just to receive cold, salty, mediocre food is a huge bummer and a waste of money. I think I will just be ordering specifically from their Western Ave location from now on whenever I'm in North Center. Their quality is way better and actually consistent, as is their delivery time because their food is still piping hot when it arrives.
