Yelp
4 Star service!
3 Stars for deli food (see below)
This place is tucked up in the hills, north of the 210 Freeway, so it's really for people in the neighborhood, but if you're in the area and need to grab some specialty items, this is a great place to stock up.
As a small market, they have a nice selection of some specialty Armenian, Russian, and Greek items.
You can order hot food (cooked in store) in the back/upstairs. The service there was fantastic, and people were super nice!
BUT I THINK I ARRIVED AT THE WRONG TIME (weekday after lunch)
I had the kebab from the meat counter. No pickles. Just hummus, and tabbouleh.
Chicken WELL SEASONED, WELL COOKED, juicy, nicely seared.
Really nicely cooked tomato! (it's possible to cook it poorly, or burn it too much)
The rice was mediocre at best - which was disappointing, because they were very generous with the portion.
One piece of dried pita. It was like it had been left in an oven. Almost like a cracker. Hard, but not crunchy? I was glad that there was so much rice. I couldn't even eat the pita - bummed about that.
There are a couple of tables on the side of the supermarket you can eat at, but be warned, this is a SMOKING AREA, so if it bothers you, you might want to take the food for a picnic to the park.
I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt. I think this place is probably much better on weekends at lunch. I'll be back to try it again.
I'll be back to buy some meats to cook myself and some other treats too!
