Armistice Coffee Roasters - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Both of Armistice’s locations (in Roosevelt and Eastlake) have expanded their patio seating to accommodate more people, but we’re big fans of the Eastlake location. And the fact that they serve terrific coffee from house-roasted beans is a nice bonus. Plus, the sidewalk never gets too busy with pedestrian traffic, so it’s a pretty peaceful place to be. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Good place to get a quick cozy coffee. The place is a nice spot to relax and drink coffee. The service here is great. Small menu, the matcha was better than I anticipated but was mostly cause it was sweet. I'd come back.

Google
Beautiful local spot. It’s got the NYT and a comfy, fancy sofa. Sun dappled indoor and outdoor seating. Super nice owner, and I overheard a regular telling her all her workers love her. I got a coffee and breakfast sandwich for $14. Will be back for sure 💛

I needed to kill a little bit of time before meeting up with my partner in Eastlake, and was delighted to find Armistace. I treated myself to a Mocha, and a hot chocolate for my kid. I considered a London Fog as I noticed a selection of brewed teas on the menu, but that day felt like an espresso day, and the barista offered to make me a different drink if I found the chocolate too sweet, which it was not. We found a cozy corner and the seating was comfy enough and I enjoyed a good half hour of chit chat with my kid. I will definitely return the next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Google
Ok this may be my new favorite place. Atmosphere is perfect - dark but lit, with comfortable seating and tables for working. Coffee is chefs kiss (I had a soy latte). Barista is friendly and kind. It’s exactly what I love.

Google
Cool little neighborhood coffee spot. Very ritzy and Louge like. Walked into a very quiet place even tho there were a handful of people there; all reading. Batista friendly and fast. Def would go again. Very happy with my lavender white chocolate latte! Not many places have lavender for coffee anymore.

Google
Probably the worst coffee I've ever had in Seattle. Not really sure how this place has two locations. The Turkish coffee is a joke, not made authentically and it costs $7 for a 1oz pour. I also got a drip coffee, which was watered down and terrible. Also overpriced (over $5 for just the drip coffee). The first server was pretty rude, the girl who waited on me the second time was nice The atmosphere is pleasant, but the music also sucks (basically smooth jazz/Muzak while I was there) and the chairs are uncomfortable. Go up the street and get a real coffee.

Andrea Moro

Google
$20 for a 12oz cappuccino and a muffin is just exorbitant even in these inflationary times. Had the same quality coffee and muffin a mile out for half the price. The ambience is nice but a bit dark. Good service.

Google
Update! Winter is over!!! At the best espresso spot in Seattle. Yes!!! finally a great espresso spot on Eastlake. Fresh roasted... Lots of flavor super yummy love it! And the staff are pretty Incredible too.

Yelp
Very good coffee, and I really enjoy the rewards program and pick up/order ahead option. Their food is quite good, I particularly like the ham and cheese croissant and chicken bacon ranch sandwiches. The employees are friendly in a Seattle barista type of way, which works for me.

Yelp
Coffee and food was very expensive and tasted only average. Barista was super moody and grumpy but who knows, he might have had a bad day. Saw a really cool dog named Otis, though. Made up for the rest.
google avatar

Yelp
Service was super nice. 5 star attitude for sure, really cool girl. The coffee is awful though. Almost $10 for an iced vanilla latte.. no milk alternatives.. just.. regular vanilla latte. Tasted like pure milk though. I'm not sure what their proportions are but they're off. $10 for coffee I expect damn good coffee.. not slightly tinted milk.. really unfortunate :(

Yelp
Visited early on a Sunday morning and this shop was so cozy + the coffee was great. The barista was kind and the overall vibe of the cafe was very inviting. They have a decent amount of chairs/seating and a couch that was extra comfy to sit and read while I enjoyed my coffee. I think this would be a great spot to enjoy on a rainy day!

Yelp
A charming spot to escape Seattle's chilly weather. With countless coffee options in the city, this place was a delightful surprise. It offers a spacious setting with a sleek, urban vibe.

Yelp
I was visiting a friend in Eastlake this weekend and stumbled upon this coffeeshop. It has such a cute vibe and seems like a perfect place to escape from the rain and catch up with friends. There was plenty of comfy seating available throughout. We ordered the hot vanilla latte with oat milk, the smores mocha latte, and the caramel latte and all were very solid. The barista on duty was really friendly as well and recommended us what to get. A day after we came back and I tried the matcha and it was also very good. They offer simple syrup by the utensil counter, so you can adjust your sweetness to your preferred level. The bathroom was very clean and overall this was an awesome coffeeshop. When I come back to Seattle I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
The kindest barista in town made me a jasmine green tea oatmilk latte when they were out of matcha. It was not bad, though not as flavorful or creamy as a matcha latte would've been. She invited me to tell her how it was and offered to make me a different drink if it was too odd, but it was drinkable and I enjoyed the lovely jasmine fragrance. Good seating: one sofa, a half dozen cushy chairs, a few tables both inside and out.

Yelp
Coming from cali i'm super picky with my lattes, seattle just hasn't stood out to me so far. I got the iced vanilla latte and I really liked it, i usually go to the coffee shop on the other corner and though Armistice is more expensive it represents the quality as it tasted way better in my opinion. To eat I got a toasted ham and cheese croissant which was very flakey and good but EXTREMELY greasy. It had the crispy cheese pieces on the ends which was my favorite part but i probably wouldn't get it again. Although i'll definitely be back for another latte or to study as the ambiance in this place was extremely calm and beautiful.

Yelp
My fiance likes their coffee, so I started to get it for her on Sunday Mornings. I've done this twice on Sunday so far and without fail the person taking my order was overtly rude. First time I wrote it off like they were having a bad day but when I went this morning it was the same deal. The vibe is great. The coffee is damn good albeit expensive. I'm just not going back to spend 30$ on coffee when you get better customer service from a Waffle House.
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
Pretty calm and not busy on Saturday morning at 9:45. Owner says it is hit or miss on the crowd level at this time. Nice inside ambiance and there is a decent-sized patio with tables and trees in planters. A lovely space to hang out when it isn't raining and isn't sunny.

Maria S.

Yelp
Likely won't be returning. I placed an order for pickup ($18 for a latte and sandwich) and upon arriving 30 mins after I ordered, my order hadn't been started. The store was not busy. I place pick up orders to avoid waiting when I am in a rush, but still had to wait 7 minutes upon entering for my food and drink to be made. Sandwich was cold in the middle. I left feeling frustrated and late for the meeting I was on my way to.

Yelp
Not a bad afternoon coffee stop location. Random location, down the street from Eastlake Coffee, but still a very cute and trendy shop. Lots of plants and some indoor seating. Minimal pastry/food selection and the normal coffees offered, with a couple seasonal options. I got the maple cinnamon latte, iced and an almond croissant. The latte was fine, but wayyy too sweet. So I'd ask for half syrup next time. But let's talk price...SO EXPENSIVE. Holy crap. This "snack" was $15!!! A cute local coffee shop, and decent food/drink, but won't be returning simply because of the price :/

Yelp
We've driven by this shop many times but have never stopped, so finally when out and about we decided to check it out. Unfortunately, I must say it was a major waste of our time and money (though we really wanted to like it). We ordered a cortado with vanilla syrup and their sausage egg sandwich. Both items were just terribly wrong. I absolutely did not like the taste of the cortado and the worst part, after taking 1 sip and letting it sit, there ended up being AT MOST 3 oz of drink in the cup. And the sandwich, it looked like a square piece of frittata that was placed between a toasted english muffin. Unfortunately neither one of us truly enjoyed our offerings, more so when the tab for those 2 items was $15. A total bust for us sadly. Why the 3 stars, because it did have a cozy vibe to the place. Loved the natural light and all the plants!

Yelp
Great coffee shop for a working session. They offer a few snacks like a croissant. Nothing too special though. Coffee tastes great and staff is very friendly. Outside area isn't the greatest. Inside they do offer a few spots for working but don't have too much space though.

Laura L.

Yelp
$5 for a basic drip coffee that left me with a mouth-full of grounds. No thanks. Good vibe, but overpriced and not good product.
google avatar

Yelp
Visited here on a sunny fall morning. A beautiful space to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and pastry. My friend had a latte I had an americano. Both were made well. The service was friendly and fast. We had our choice of indoor or outdoor seating. I could see this place getting busy though during the work week. Overall, a nice little coffee spot.
google avatar

Emma D.

Yelp
Have popped in here a few times since it's close to my apartment. Interior is very nice and well decorated. Baristas have always been polite. They have been fairly quick in making my coffee and I have enjoyed the different flavors they have available. Their seasonal drink is an orange vanilla latte and it has been my favorite thus far.
google avatar

Alan Z.

Yelp
Pretty good coffee. I like the vibe and design of the coffee shop itself so it would be a nice place to read or work during the day.
google avatar

Daisy P.

Yelp
Great coffee and vibes. It can get busy, but still a lot of space. In the winter they have an amazing caramel apple cider drink and in the summer their drinks are fun. Good place to work from or catch up with friends. Take the link here instead of parking.
google avatar

Melissa T.

Yelp
I've been to this location and the Roosevelt location. Both are great vibes, have relatively easy street parking in the neighborhoods, and friendly baristas. The Eastlake location is smaller (and less foot traffic) than the Roosevelt one. There's no outdoor seating here, but there's a nice mix of seating.
google avatar

Nicole G.

Yelp
Pricey ($14 for these two lattes!) but very good. I'd consider it as a special treat. Interior decoration is beautiful.
google avatar

Henry L.

Yelp
Solid Lattes and Americanos, they definitely put their blood and sweat into the coffee here. Pastries are not bad either, you wont regret the chocolate croissant option. Only downside is there are many flies in the cafe during the summer, and baristas seem to be on another clock (20 minute wait for a coffee). If you're not in a hurry this is a solid place. And good luck with parking. Read the signs carefully to avoid being towed!
google avatar

Sid B.

Yelp
My brother has sworn by this place for years so I had to give it a try. Okay I took my parents here when they were in town and we all shared a couple drinks and foods. Upon entry the space felt warm and inviting, with many options for seating set at safe distances. It was summer so the doors were open to the shop and there was a fresh breeze blowing through on its way to Lake Union, just below. We were very pleased with prices for drinks and foods and ended up getting out with a delicious cappuccino, 12oz latte, decaf tea, and breakfast sandwich that didn't break the bank. Wohoo! They are a great place to hang out and work if you can work from a shop, as they have lots of plugs and comfortable seating for longer stays. Would absolutely recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm currently at this cafe...right now :) Very VERY aesthetically pleasing. The staff is nice. The ambience is pleasing to the eyes. They have "star-gazing light fixtures" as this is part of the apartment complex, Lucille. They have a fire pit, lots of seating and tables to study and work. Their music varies, from Motown hip hop to classic jazz and contemporary pop songs. Parking : if you can't find street parking, I recommend the Green Lake Park n Ride -- just minutes away from this place. It's crowded on weekdays, recommend the weekends (:
google avatar

Sonoma M.

Yelp
By far my favorite coffee shop in Seattle. The staff is always friendly and plays good music, the coffee is always well-roasted and perfectly brewed, the ambiance in the shop itself just blows everything else out of the water. It's well-decorated and has bathrooms that are clean and stocked. Dog friendly so you get to meet all sorts of sweet pups. Would gladly make the trek any day of the week to study here.
google avatar

Michele S.

Yelp
I love the vibe of this coffee shop, especially in the summer when the sides of the building are open. Quality roasted coffee, a small but tasty selection of food, and comfortable seating (I go for that leather couch when it's available!) make this an Eastlake gem.

Brandon D.

Yelp
Vibes are super chill. Coffee is always super good and creamy. Best coffee in Eastlake.
google avatar

Julia P.

Yelp
Armistice might be my favorite coffee shop in the world. The coffee is delicious, pastries are tasty, the atmosphere is great (places to sit and chat with a friend, tables that are great for working, and comfy/cozy nooks for sipping coffee and reading a good book). The baristas are personable and kind. I can't recommend Armistice enough! Absolute 10/10.
google avatar

Jacqueline D.

Yelp
Love this spot! Great coffee and espresso though also very addicting so this is your warning! Genuinely great drinks and kind baristas. The interior is filled with beautiful plants, and has outdoor seating too. On nice days, the window door combo opens up.
google avatar

Wayne L.

Yelp
How should I put this... Setting: Good seating arrangements with leather sofas on the inside. Quaint small outdoor seating/patio Friendly staff, but a line can form that goes out - this is due to the cash register being close to the entrance. Coffee: Choices are good and they have ""Cortados". Those that like or need to have alternative milks - they have: Soy, and Oat milk. Food: Scones, quiches and other pastries. Quality: Overall, great quality - the Quiches I had was well textured with Goad Cheese and well baked crust with asparagus cuts inside. The Cortado, was a bit on the stronger side. However, very smooth and good beans! Recommendation: If you live around here or come early. It is a great place to relax. If you are needing to study, work on your laptop for a project or God time. It is not very noisy and Zenful on the outdoor seating area. However, like almost everywhere in Seattle. You will have to find street parking (free curb parking).

Yelp
I've passed by this new(ish) coffee shop several times and had been curious about it for a while. So, when a friend wanted to grab a weekday coffee last week, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to check out Armistice. The menu isn't too extensive, but it was fine for what I was seeking. I opted for my usual... a latte with 1 pump of vanilla and it was tasty! The service was fine (not OVERLY friendly but pleasant) and the space is really aesthetically pleasing. In the summer, the patio is open and I think the windows open up entirely (like a garage door) so that you can sit inside but get some fresh air/sun exposure. But regardless of if its summer or winter, the vibe is really welcoming. I didn't order food or use the WiFi so I can't comment on those aspects, but it seems like a great (quiet) place to stay for a bit and relax or to get some work done! My friend and I found some comfortable chairs in the corner and chatted for a bit. Overall, I think this coffee shop is a great addition to the neighborhood and I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Jeffrey L.

Yelp
Such a great addition to Eastlake. They roast their beans in house. The interior is pretty awesome with great big doors that open up. I really like the fact that the way the seating is done creates a space for engagement almost like a living room. Instead of the standard Cafe with table seating every where, not as many people on there laptops! Coffee is decent its mellow, medium bodied. Not bitter or acidic. I ordered a dirty chai tea with soy. Shortly after I noticed they had oatly. A non dairy oat milk. FYI, their chai is unsweetened. Overall really good atmosphere. Looks like they roast their own beans in house. I will definitely comeback and try the oatly!
google avatar

Andy C.

Yelp
Love this place. One of my top espresso drink places in the country. I bring home beans every time I visit Seattle. I usually get a flat white. Always hot and perfectly expressed.
google avatar

Rachael P.

Yelp
The barista that helped me in the morning was super nice and personal- made a joke about us rolling out of bed and getting breakfast at 1pm I ordered a lavender latte and it was the first time I could strongly taste the lavender in my coffee (which is a good thing) 10/10 and the beans roasting inside smell sooo good
google avatar

Ozan U.

Yelp
Roaster on site, great baristas- lots of good milk options. In the summer the outdoor seating is wonderful and gives a very European feel. I always make an effort to stop by on my way to meetings downtown.
google avatar

Kathy A.

Yelp
Cool ambiance and friendly staff. Prices are pretty equivocal with other Seattle coffee shops. It was actually quite quiet there so I imagine this could be a great place to study.
google avatar

Derrick P.

Yelp
Love this place. Great coffee, wine and snacks. Even better than the food and libations is the ambiance. However, I wouldn't recommend arriving within 1.5 - 2 hours prior to closing. They decided to close up while there were still 7 patrons still sitting around. I've worked in the industry before, so it's not that big of a deal to get a head start on closing. But, when it's a beautiful day outside, 7 patrons inside, 10 outside, and more coming through the door, it's not a good idea to vacuum and pull away outside decor early. Convenient for the employee to leave earlier, but inconvenient to the customers. Just my $0.02. I'll still return, however probably won't be visiting in the afternoon again because of this.
google avatar

Opal D.

Yelp
Cozy atmosphere. REALLY GOOD almond croissants. The cafe was not too busy when we arrived on a weekday, mid-morning. Parking can be a pain to find around here though--at all hours--much of it is residential so there is not much turnover and a lot of it is limited to 2 hrs maximum. It was a great place to meet up with a friend to catch up!
google avatar

Joan M.

Yelp
First and foremost... the espresso here is amazing... Fresh. The crema is perfect. The beans are created with love daily! This is definitely my favorite coffee spot. I love hanging out here it reminds me of my trips to Europe. The owner Rebecca is fantastic too... I was having problems with my burr grinder and she even fix my grinder!!!!! Above and beyond the call for espresso. I am so happy they opened up on eastlake... it's made such a difference in this neighborhood!
google avatar

Jillian R.

Yelp
I think this has to be my new favorite coffee shop in Seattle. It has the whole package: great coffee, great pastries, and just a fantastic place that you really want to spend time in. To be honest, I was a little surprised when it opened. Can Eastlake handle another coffee shop? Is the market saturated? Apparently not. And we got something we didn't even know we were missing! When the weather's good, they open all the doors onto a sprawling patio that feels shady and relaxing, like sitting under a willow tree. They play fun, yet chill music. The interior decor is the chicest kind of mid century modern chill that allows for lots of space and a ton of seating. The coffee... they buy their beans from a Brazilian importer and roast in-house, fresh EVERY DAY! I was so happy about that because the flavor balance is phenomenal. Dark and delicious but not over roasted or super bitter. I'm lactose intolerant - thy have plenty of options: soy, almond, and oat milk. They use a barista series for each that froths up super well and you can buy oat milk right there!! The zero waste aspect: they will let you use your own cup, and you can fill your own tin with beans. Score! The food - they have a small, yet delicious array of pastries from a local pastry wholesaler named Lemoncello (former owner of SLU's Rigolatto). They are damn fine. Especially the jam dots! Lastly, they cater! I would definitely do this for meetings. They only need about a day notice! I'd try armistice. They have something special going on. The staff care, and so does the owner - you'll often find her there.

Yelp
Armistice means there is an agreement or an accord between multiple parties, normally resulting in the ceasing of a dispute or conflict. The culture and vibe of this new shop in Eastlake truly lives up to its namesake as it serves as a respite from the high intensity culture of the surrounding neighborhoods. In their brief time of being open to this point, I have been multiple times and have yet to be disappointed. I came primarily as Anna is one of my favorite baristas in Seattle and I'm not surprised why she chose to make Armistice her newest place of work. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the roast and fell quickly in love with the openness that the large windows and friendly baristas create in unison. To spend time in Armistice is to experience a peaceful interlude in the craziness of life and the competitive nature we can all carry at times. Thanks, Rebecca for this gift.
google avatar

Meena N.

Yelp
Good coffee. Didn't try any of the pastries. Comfy space. It was right below my Airbnb so it was super convenient. The barristas were polite but indifferent.
google avatar

michelle l.

Yelp
If you like espresso drinks or coffee drinks with milk, this may be a spot for you. For someone who prefers drip coffee it is just ok. The only option is their house blend, which is perfectly acceptable. It would have been nice if there were single origin options. I like that there are a few different cup sizes. Prices are reasonable-ish since coffee is served on drip instead of pour over. The interior decor is nice. I like the glass wall panels they have. In the grand scheme of things and when compared to other specialty coffee cafes, I think Armistice is more of a 3.5.
google avatar

Sydney H.

Yelp
Excellent lattes- love that they have oat milk as an option. I have gone a few times now. Got the almond pastry once and it was just okay.
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
What a nice contemporary coffee shop. 3 min walk from our Airbnb. Delicious. Very nice barista. Best caramel latte I've had. I felt the love she put in it.
google avatar

Jenn E.

Yelp
Armistice is one of the newer additions to Eastlake and has an great environment perfect for leisurely sipping a cup of coffee or getting some work done. This location is on the corner of a row of shops and is actually bigger than it looks from the outside. When it's nice there's seats outside but also lots of different seating arrangements inside, from group tables to comfy chairs I decided on a cortado, a shot of espresso with cream and foam, and T went for a chai tea latte. My cortado was well made with a good balance of cream and espresso and a decent amount of foam. My only tiny critique is that it is smaller in volume than others I've had in the city. T's chai tea latte was creamy and unsweetened so he was able to choose to add sugar and/or honey to his liking The tea selection here is pretty solid and if you like what you have they also sell boxes of tea bags that you can take home.
google avatar

Tina M.

Yelp
Great decor and setting. Went in with a group of 7 people around noon on Monday. He messed up our order and shorted us a latte. I will never be returning. Too hipster and pretentious. The others in our group said coffee tasted burnt.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place. Came in here for the first time after passing by over the weekend and seeing it packed. Such a great coffeeshop to get your work done at with great coffee, music, and environment. There's WiFi and outlets. Also just a great place to read a book or catch up with a friend.
