Nice little corner café that opened recently, clean, bright, and inviting inside. You order at the counter and they have both indoor and outdoor seating (some shaded). Owner was friendly, and the food came out quickly.
Tried the Fig Deal (prosciutto di Parma, burrata, wild arugula, fig jam, lemon zest) and the Tuna Turner (olive-oil tuna, red onion, capers, lemon aioli, lettuce). I'd give the Fig Deal a 4.5/5, the fig jam added a great contrast for most of the sandwich, but toward the end it became a bit too dominant. It's not a heavy smear by any means, but next time I'll ask for a lighter touch since the prosciutto, burrata, and arugula combo shines on its own. (Ended up turning the last few bites into an open-faced sandwich using the top bread). Their focaccia is excellent, flaky like a biscuit yet fluffy and not dense. The Mrs. had the Tuna Turner, which I'd call a 5/5, I was slightly jealous. It had a bright, tangy flavor with the lemon aioli perfectly balancing the freshness of the olive-oil tuna.
Strong iced Americanos too. A much-needed café for this stretch of Santa Monica.
